The Nicci Chronicles by Terry Goodkind. Old fan, got hooked on Sword of Truth in high school. I am a little disappointed though, I was really excited for him to expand on Nicci's character, but its really not sucking me in the way I had hoped. I feel like he could delve really deep into her character, but he just isn't. He is also being super repetitive, you expect some synopsis in a series in case readers hop in on a middle book, but do I really need a recap of what happened a few chapters ago?

@seltzermint555 that's so cool that uoh got to see her speak! I have a lot of admiration for her & would love to be friends with her :) I don't know anyone else who knows about her. One of my co-workers did history at uni & I'm trying to get her to read the book so I can chat to her about it!

Do you watch her on YouTube? I had to ask, just in case you don't!

I have a stack of books I've started and abandoned. My attention span these days is short.
This promises to scare me, we'll see, I hope so.

I am a librarian - I totally love to read . . . whenever I have time, haha! Currently working through A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir. It's the second in a series. Solid writing, good pacing, kind of an ancient Rome meets Hunger Games meets world building sort of thing. It's young adult, which can be really good, but it unfortunately delves into that YA trope of love triangles and I completely hate that. So it's firmly in my mixed feelings category.

@Rheameg - Faye Kellerman is a mystery writer. Kind of on the thriller/suspenseful side of the genre.

I'm in the middle of The Lazarus Files, by Matthew McGough about a cold case murder investigation. It's so incredibly detailed.
