You may need to log in, this is a very active board, but I have found that sometimes it reverts to January when it thinks I'm not logged in.

Hi all! I haven't been here for forever and I've missed all of you.
Reading the posts and seeing everyone having such a rough time I just want to hug you all for hours.
FYI I've had to retire from work which is a good thing, but for a not so great health reasons. For the same reasons, my garden is now gone.
It's nice to see you. I hope your health issues resolve soon.

Good Morning Beauties! I hope you are all having a great weekend. Indulged the last few days so today is back on the health wagon. 6 more days of my apple watch contest and my goal is to hit 100 points every day.
JFT 5/26
90 minutes of exercise-whatever my body feels like doing
Stay within calories
Choose healthy foods
All meals at home
Drink lots of water today-fill bottle 3 times
No alcohol
Really enjoyed my kid free time the last few days but happy to go pick up the kiddo's today and have some family time today. Hope everyone is practicing self care this weekend in whatever form you need. I really needed to just be me for a little while and yesterday did get to accomplish that! I also got in an amazing workout and am pumped to do it again today. Walk/run five miles (goal) and 30 minutes of yoga. Stretching after the run too. Exercise really does make you feel happier! I used to hate when people would say that but sometimes the things we react strongly to are the things we most need to hear. That's my wisdom for the day.6 -
Hi everyone, late checking in today because I was determined to do my workout first but procrastinated the whole morning. Glad I forced myself though, and actually had fun with the kids joining in for some of it. I needed to get it in because the past 24 hours have been pretty rubbish food wise! Resetting now - what’s done is done and onward! Heading out with the kids shortly and then back to get chores and work done

Good morning! Yesterday I did not do well goal wise. I also took a four hour nap in the middle of the day, but I guess I needed it! My husband is the one that really needs it though, he's been working all weekend and is completely exhausted (he lays tile). I hope he can take a day or two off during the week once this job is done.
Today I'm going with my parents to an open house, and tomorrow we have our very first appointment with a realtor to look at houses! We are first time buyers so the process is so foreign to us, luckily my mom is a former realtor so she can offer us a lot of advice. After living with my parents for the last two years, it will be really nice to have a house to call our own and grow into.
Today I'm determined to stick to my goals. I haven't really gained any weight (from what I can tell, still somewhat bloated) but I haven't lost any either in the past month. I have gotten stronger though so I guess that is still a win.
@Snowflake1968 just want to give you a big hug!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Yesterday was a fairly relaxed day, I started staining the door and made a new welcome sign for the front door.
Michaela and Jonah were both well behaved and played outside for a bit.
Today I need to do some laundry and go buy some fruit and veggies. I also need to put another coat of stain on the door. I’m not sure I like it, it may end up painted.

Yesterday devolved into a cheat day (as usual it was Saturday) . The family gathered at a cute coffee shop near the Mormon Temple (tour was interesting and very crowded) for breakfast, since I'd already had breakfast I was hoping it would be my lunch. Not! I ended up having lunch and then snacking throughout the day including after dinner. Oh well, it's just one day.
This morning I've spent some time revisiting what is motivating me and what my health goals are. My longtime goal (which I haven't met) is to be in the normal range of BMI (currently 27 BMI). My very short term goal is to rehab and get full range of motion on my knee and my 5 month goal is to participate in a tennis tournament in Tucson in November (my team has won or gotten into the finals four times). Other vaguer goals are to be healthy - my blood pressure is in the pre-high range and I know that 10-15 lbs would help get that number down. I know that to reach these goals it's an everyday, consistent effort and that is why this support thread (community) of Just For Today is powerful.
So my health goals are normal BMI and blood pressure, what is motivating me is to participate in the sport I love. The steps I will take are to focus on whole foods (eggs, lean meat, vegetables and fruits), keep my calories between 1500-1700 calories a day and actively exercise to strengthen my body and cardio health.
JFT 5/26/19
Pretrack to 1500 calories
Do my Range of motion exercises X2
Read in the afternoon
No snacking or wine after dinner - this goal is the key
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.5 -
Sunday 'at 26
Checking in late and I did not post goals this morning. I will try to catch up tomorrow!
I am probably in the green but I've not logged again and I met Fitbit goals by walking in the house. It was wet and windy out and I did not venture far beyond the front door. We have 6 B and B guests and they all want something different for breakfast tomorrow!3 -
I was MIA for a few days and now I am finally done catching up with all posts.
I want to hug so many of you and tell you that everything is gonna be ok! I don't know if you are aware of it, but you are such strong women, I am amazed every day!
Almost everyone here has some huge real-life challenge to overcome that most people would just give up or postpone any fitness/weight goals, but you come here, show up, do what needs to be done, if you fail someday, you just keep getting up, keep finding solutions, new approaches, new motivations. Some days you make big steps, some days you make tiny steps, but you keep going.
I know that you will succeed in your goals because you do not wait for a perfect life, for ideal circumstances, for care - free periods...I just think it has such a huge value.7 -

Log accurately (and barely under net! Haven't gone over for 78 days--know it will happen sometime, but not today!)
60 minutes intentional walking
Weights/stretches
Work Project 2 hours Much of this involved taking the time and thinking through some tough decisions-think I have it solved
Email cleanout (I don't know why I don't just delete the junk as it comes in!)
On the whole a relaxing day. Yesterday did main meal prep, today got a watermelon and some berries cut up and put in pre-weighed portions. Not as many steps today (treated it as a rest day), but with 60 minutes walking and stuff around church and house, over 12,600 so not too lazy. Weights and stretches went well. I am noticing steady improvements.
Monday, May 27, 2019
Log accurately
60 minutes intentional walking
Memorial Day Parade-help at church
Sort stack of papers in bedroom
Family dinner
Our church is on the parade route and we serve coffee and light snacks for parade watchers. Good part of this is I will get some movement running back to the kitchen and get to meet some new people. Not sure what is on menu for family dinner (or if SIL actually will follow through), I will just take it as it comes.
Hope everyone had a good Sunday.
