Goal... Less than I started
06/22 67.2kg which is a great start especially after the slowness of last round.
06/23 67.6kg. No problem with this gain as I took husband out for a birthday dinner last night. I kept it Keto but didn't really watch the calories and we ate much later than normal.
06/24 67.7kg no worries. Short but nice run in the cold.
06/25 67.8 kg... I think the weekend calories should be done by now! Time to restart the downward trend. Days like these I'm glad I only record my weight on a Sunday.
06/26 67.9kg...ran in the cold. Can't wait for some light mornings after mid winter.
06/27 67.3 kg. Patience paying off. It was my husbands 50th yesterday and I made a Keto cheesecake for us all. It was surprisingly good and I only ate a small serving... Now to resist the other half sat in the fridge!
06/28 67.4kg with a very cold run.
06/29 67.2kg going to a formal dinner tonight with no idea of the menu so I will be careful and stay Keto. I'm wearing a goal dress tho! Will try to post a pic
06/30 67.4kg weighed at lunchtime after serious over eating last night... But kept it Keto. Getting a cold. Will see what tomorrow brings.

6/28 126.0! LOL This is the temporary result of the carbs from Wednesday! Big dinner out with quilty friends last night. It must have been salty - I drank water with dinner, had 50 oz in bottles that I drank before I got home at 10 and drank at least another pint before I went to bed.
6/29 125.5 Yup, the carb effect from Wednesday is leaving. Yesterday had a small salad with 4 fairly large shrimp for lunch. Ate some leftover asparagus in the evening and had a handful of Pork Cracklins. May get together with sewing friends today. No magnesium and no TMI event!

6/27 231ish, going to the gym with a friend later. Will hopefully earn calories to have an alright dinner.
6/28 Did really well yesterday, except for going out for dinner with friends. That put me over my goal, but only by 300cal. Doing well today, only have 300 caller for dinner, but I'll make it work!
6/29 226 weighed myself, not as fat as I thought. Woo!
6/30 226 lbs yesterday was difficult. A friend fed me guacamole and margaritas. Then my husband bought me a massive soda. I didn't finish the soda. I went over my calorie goals but I went on a hike that really got my blood pumping. Could be worse.

6/22: 187.4 (Forgot to post yesterday but I maintained at the same low weight and went out the night before for wings and fries. Not sure how I maintained without a workout either. That’s a plus!)
6/23: 189.4 (wow I definitely feel sore this morning from yesterday. I did a 5K training workout but most likely it’s from hosting a party and being on my feet all day and some dancing too. I made a whole BBQ feast but had very little of everything. I’m sure it’ll all go down once my soreness clears.)
6/24: 190.4 (Not what I wanted to see but it is what it is. I did a Zumba class yesterday and made grilled chicken kabobs, rice and asparagus for dinner.)
6/25: 190.0 (A step in the right direction! I did not do a workout and make some potato corn chowder for dinner last night.)
6/26: 189.6 (Weekend weight gain is slowly coming off. I'm hoping for a whoosh soon from how good I've been the last few days at sticking to my goals. I added some more running to my 5K training. I'm now running 15 out of 30 minutes. I have to say my legs are on fire now! I made some quesadillas and chips with salsa since I was too lazy to cook.)
6/27: 189.2 (My body only likes to release 0.4 pounds a day haha. Still hoping for that whoosh but I'm soooo sore from the Power Circuit class I went to last night at the gym. I'm sure tomorrow I'm going to be 100% worse. I had some pasta for dinner last night.)
6/28: 187.4 (Yay I maintained my weight for a week! 😂 I’m shocked I got to this but at the same time I’m not. I had some major stomach issues all week where I was constipated and yesterday i was in the bathroom maybe 6 times. Very odd! I went on a 5K training session last night super sore and I had grilled steak, baked potato and broccoli.)
6/29: 190.8 (Pretty bummed out but I’m sore, bloated from a burrito I had last night and exhausted. I’ve never gained this much overnight before on my journey so I’m hoping it’ll all even out next Friday.)
6/30: 192.0 (I’m not sure what’s going on with my body. To gain 4.6 pounds of water weight is insane. My soreness is gone and I did a spin class yesterday. I’m going to continue plugging away and hope that this will all whoosh down next week!)

06/22 145.0 ate very late last night so not surprised with the slight uptick. Meals planned for today so should be a good day food wise
06/23 145.5 didn’t drink enough water yesterday and had takeout Indian food so will be upping my water intake today
06/24 144.8 back down a bit, and happy didn’t gain much over the weekend. Friday’s are usually my lightest weight day so not surprised that haven’t seen round 80s end weight yet, but hope to be back there by mid week.
06/25 144.5 pretty typical Tuesday and finally slept 7 hours straight during the night (been waking up at 3am-4am the last week for an hourish).
06/26 144.2 ate very well yesterday and worked out so was hoping for more of a loss, but this is pretty consistent to with some of the weeks after a big loss that I lose at a slower pace. I am back to where I was at the end of round 80.
06/27 143.8 lowest weight I’ve seen, but only a .2 lb loss from last week so still a bit discouraged. Today’s another opportunity to continue sticking to the plan and hopefully a larger loss will come later in this round or next round.
06/28 144.0 going to try to do 120 oz of water today. I keep waking up thirsty so maybe 70 oz isn’t enough in the warmer weather.

06/22: 136 -- Yesterday was a high carb day. Friends spent the night, so we had egg casserole and coffee cake for breakfast. Took a long walk before dinner ... and then indulged in tator tots and corn bread side with flank steak. Was super hungry at dinner, but stayed just below calories and since I wasn't hungry later when we made dessert, I skipped that!
06/23: 135 -- Another high carb day. My middle son got back Friday night and is flying out again today, so had egg casserole & coffee cake for breakfast. And then we had this awesome cranberry/walnut bread for dinner and I indulged in 2 pieces, plus fresh corn on the cob and watermelon from the farmer's market. Skipped dessert and did a long session on the elliptical, so squeaked in under calories. NSV -- I've been working on pushups since March -- starting with wall pushups and moving to lower surfaces. On Friday I did two unmodified full pushups!! Over the next 8 weeks I'll continue with pushup sets 3 times a week to see how many I can build up to!
06/24: 134.5 -- Interesting, as Friday and Saturday were both high carb days with low deficits. Took a long hilly walk yesterday and ended lower carb and larger deficit. I'm curious as to what happens tomorrow!
06/25: 133.5 -- Very nice! Zumba and strength class yesterday. Did my best to burn as many calories as possible in zumba....only got it up to 400. Don't know if I am getting wimpier, or just in better shape! Ran 5 miles today and ate a light lunch. Going out to dinner with my husband and a group at work tonight, should have enough of a buffer to make wise choices and not worry too much! Might be up tomorrow, but it was nice to see this NEW low!
06/26: 134.5 Out to Italian last night. There were only two dinner options that were not pizza or pasta, went for the hanger steak with arugula salad with shaved parmesan. Had one piece of bread, heirloom tomato salad to start and split tiramisu with my husband. The bite I had of my husband's pasta was delicious, but so was the steak and I'm glad for the choice I made. I also about 8 oz of red wine. I think the wine is what caused the blip. It appeared to be the kind of red wine that gives me a headache and makes me feel nasty. Walked and did zumba today. We will see what tomorrow brings!
06/27: 136.5 Two reasons for this bump as far as I can tell. One, I felt yucky yesterday, so eating was low enough, but off and I had lots of salt including pickle juice right before bed to see if that would help. Two....today is weigh-in day for another challenge, so it figures the number would be the highest this week!
06/28: 135 Coming down from whatever yesterday's blip was! Ran a 1000 calorie deficit yesterday....so expecting improvement.
06/29: 135.5 Not really sure what is up with this! A bit frustrated, though ostensibly still on track! On the other hand.... 1/2 pound a week is really what I'm aiming for. It's just the teasing ups and downs!!
06/30: 134.5 Doing the right thing. Glad to see this number back! Zumba yesterday, pushups (got 4 sets of 4 and then did 8!!), and 15 flights of stairs and 10 minutes of walking around the house at 11 pm to finish up my 12,000 steps!

06/22--207.2 Went out for my 1 mile run and the hip still feels great. I'm going to get back to running 3x a week next week. Ran some errands today and now relaxing for the rest of the day.
06/23--206.5 Hardly drank any water yesterday, so late at night I had 2 big glasses of water. I was worried I would be up all night having to go to the bathroom, but I didn't have that problem. Trainer today to make up for a missed session 2 weeks ago and then going out for a long walk with my dog and with my new coworker's wife. My coworker has told me for months that me and his wife would get along and should meet, so walk is our meeting. It's hard to make friends as an adult, but it's also weird because it feels like a first date. We'll see how this goes. If nothing else the walk will help me get my steps in.
06/24--205.6 I saw this weight last round but it didn't stick around, we'll see how it goes this round. I am sore from yesterdays workout, but the long walk afterwards helped reduce the DOMS. Going for a run tonight and going to get my water in.
06/25--205.9 Had a great workout tonight with the trainer.
06/26--206.1 Did not drink a lot yesterday, I need to work on that today. I need to get started back with my running. I realize for me that if I don't set running goals I won't run. So I'm going to sign up for a 5k in early August to get myself back into it. Since I will be going on vacation between now and then it will also keep me motivated to get some running in while I'm on vacation.

06/28--206.5 Forgot to post yesterday. Had a really hard training session yesterday, but my coach was really proud of me so the session wasn't that bad. I'm going to try and see if I can book a DEXA scan today, it's been over 3 months since I was last tested and I would love to see the changes in my body fat %. Rest day today.

06/30--207.4 I was feeling kind of down yesterday because of where I thought I should be in terms of my weight loss/fat loss, but I pulled myself up this morning and realized that I am on my own journey and it's not the pace at which I lose weight that's important just as long as I'm losing and it's sustainable. I went to the gym this mroning and finished a tough workout and I feel better. I need to increase my protein, so I'm going to put some small changes into my diet and start working to get to my protein goals. Working on finishing this round out strong.

Canadian expat living in Central America. It's too hot here to have a few extra pounds. This is my first challenge, and I look forward to this. I do Pilates for strength and flexibility, but the real workout is in my garden. We live on half acre on a hill side, and there is always lots of gardening to do.

I had late dinner with beer on top of a rich lunch yesterday. Today, I didn't run or do yoga in the morning. Today's lunch was a pot luck - nice idea, but bad for controlled eating, I didn't go crazy and estimated 1000cals for that.
After work, I wanted to go for a bike ride, but had a flat tyre, so went for a non-C25K run instead which was good.
I'm trying to get into a fasting pattern, need to try out what works with work, exercise and being social. Today I stopped eating at 6, but then had one sweet after my bike disappointment, which added 1.5hrs, but I have to be honest. Anyway, I ramble..

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

06/22 - 146.0 really? Now my scale is just screwing with me, lol. Did a 36 hour fast yesterday to get back down and on track. Seemed it has worked well and I am back down to my lowest weight so far. 8 days left of the month and really hoping to make my goal. Come on 1/10 of a pound is all I need!
06/23 - 149.0 went to a salad place for lunch and had some drinks with dinner. Should not be this high. Maybe sodium
06/24 - 149.0 this is just annoying. Ate really low calorie yesterday, but did go out for breakfast. I just don't think my body agrees with restaurant food.
06/25 - 150.8 had an amazing 3 day weekend. Went golfing all day yesterday with my 2 older boys and my husband, but I did come home with a nice little sunburn. I am assuming this is the reason for another bounce up. Ate well under calories, but also lunch was out again at another restaurant on the golf course. Going to drink tons of water today and apply aloe and see what the next couple of days brings me.
06/26 - 149.0 I was hoping for something lower. Still hurting from my burn, but hopefully within the next couple of days will be gone. My weight has been so weird this round. I saw 148.3 on the scale and then bounced back up to 149.0. So I know this is just all water weight and will have to wait for it to leave. My trend weight is super high now to, so will just have to keep working on it I guess.
06/27 - 148.0 Still struggling to come back down. I was bitten by a spider over a month ago when we went to the river. It healed within a week and I never thought about it again. Sunday morning when I had my large spike in weight I noticed the spot was back. By yesterday it looked really bad and infected, so I went to the doctor. I guess it has turned into a really bad infection and I should have gone a month ago when I first saw it. Who knew! Now I am on 2 different antibiotics and an ointment. I am assuming my body is just trying to fight the infection and recover and holding onto the weight. I started the antibiotics yesterday, so I am hoping maybe this weekend I will be back down. I'm not going to stress or worry about eating under calories at this point. I don't want to get sick/nausea from not eating enough while taking these pills. I wasn't going to finish this round, but I need the accountability. I am not going to go over my calories, so hoping after I am better I will see a loss. Bonus: I can not have a sip of alcohol while on these pills due to my thyroid. It could cause me to have a stroke because of the massive dose of antibiotics that I am on. 12 days with absolutely no alcohol is going to be rough, especially through the 4th of July holiday. I am curious to see if I see a spike in my weight loss. I have never gone more than 3 days, much less 12!
06/28 - 148.0 woke up covered in a rash. I guess I am allergic to the antibiotics! Uuuugghhh, I was high on sodium last night to, so maybe that's the reason it didn't move at all. We will see what happens the rest of the round. I am now on steroids to get rid of the rash and a new antibiotic.
06/29 - 146.5 rash and swelling is gone. New antibiotic seems to be meshing well with me. Day 5 of no alcohol and back down to a reasonable weight. 2 more days, hoping to stay some where around this weight!
06/30 - 145.9 oh my gosh! I can’t believe I finally saw a new low. Now if I can just keep it together today. I meal prep for my DH and kids today for breakfast and lunches. Lots of breakfast burritos and chicken breast with veggies and sandwiches. I tend to snack more on Sunday’s while I cook. I’m going to try to finish the round strong. At least I finished June with a new low.

Background: My kiddo turns 2 in one month! For his whole first year, I was BFing and didn’t worry about my weight at all (although some came off without trying). After we weaned, I actually gained weight because I hadn’t adjusted my intake from what I ate while nursing and automatically burning more calories. So I started tracking again, and lost 10 pounds in 2 months. I gained a little back at the end of last year, but I’ve been much more focused in 2019. As of the start of this round, I’m 10 pounds down from the beginning of the year and 18 pounds down since my start last year.
I’ve been much more consistent with working out than I have in years – I’ve been getting to my kickboxing gym three times per week unless we are out of town, and I can feel the improvement in my technique and stamina.
Round 81 Goals: Stick with the plan that I’ve set up for the next week! Breakfasts and lunches for the work week are already prepped. Dinners are planned and fit within my goals. I have the time to get to the gym 3 times. Would love to see a weight below 149 on the scale, but mostly want to make sure I’m solidly at/below that 150.
06/22 – 150.2: A new low that I haven’t seen since before getting pregnant. Morning workout at the gym was circuits of HIIT with a different trainer than normal, but I (IMHO) crushed it. Had pizza with the fam for dinner but made some smart choices and didn’t feel like I overate.
06/23 – 150.0: FINALLY! I had been creeping towards 150 all year but haven’t been this low since before getting pregnant (2.5 years ago). All food was tracked and under calorie goal, but not the best choices. Lots of meal prep tonight!
06/24 – 151.8: Womp. Normal fluctuation, but this one did sting a little after yesterday’s excitement. Eating at work was 100% on target, water was ok, and evening workout was awesome. For dinner, I’m glad I took the time to weigh my ingredients even though it was a recipe I have made many times before and already had built into my recipe tracker (SkinnyTaste Skillet Chicken Cordon Bleu – so easy and one of our faves). I bought my “thin sliced” chicken breasts at a different store than normal, so they were bigger than I’ve gotten in the past, and my sliced ham weighed a little more too. Not a make or break (especially for a lean protein), but the recipe update was a difference of 100 calories! I try not to eat back my workout calories, but if I hadn’t updated the recipe, I likely would have allowed myself a little extra treat after dinner, based on a deficit that wasn’t as big as I had thought.
06/25 – 149.6: Might have broken the scale jumping up and down in excitement! My first weight below 150 and 20 pounds lost!
06/26 - 149.8: No workout yesterday and eating dinner a little later, so totally fine with the maintenance even though my calories were right on. We decided to go hang out with family last night, so instead of throwing my meal plan out the window, I offered to bring what I was making (and had already tracked) for dinner, and it went over well! NSV: I'm fitting back into most of the things in my pre-pregnancy wardrobe. It's opened up so many options that I've had to pass on over the last two years, so now I am dressing up a little more and I'm getting outfit compliments from my coworkers!
06/27 - 149.6 Nice! Only thing I wasn't happy about eating yesterday was the cookie cake for a coworker's bday, but I kept my piece small and tracked it as best as I could estimate and didn't have any other snacks during the day. Feeling good, and excited to get back to the gym tonight.
06/28 - 148.4 Another new low! Eating was completely on point (I’m getting a lot better about remembering to weigh/measure my final recipes, which helps with portion sizes and tracking), kickboxing workout class was good but not quite as intense as I wanted (it was focused more on technique, so still useful!), and water was pretty good. I’m off of work today, so just need to make sure I don’t fall into the trap of snacking at home!
06/29 - 147.6 And the lows just keep getting lower. Apparently these daily check-ins are just what I needed, because this is the most progress I’ve ever had in a week’s span of time. Finished out the weekdays completely faithful to my planned out meals, and only reasonable snacking. Just finished a nice and tough Saturday morning workout, which has become part of my weekend routine that I really look forward to! Tonight I’ll be indulging at a nice restaurant for my mom’s birthday, so the scale might go up a bit tomorrow, but I’m ok with that!
06/30 - 149 As predicted! Dinner was a nice splurge (no regrets!), and I didn’t get to weigh myself until after breakfast. I’m focusing on the fact that even after indulging (with a little wine and a dessert!), I am still under 150, which was a goal for so long! Trying to be ok today so I can have a nice finish tomorrow morning. Meal prep going down for lunch salads and dinners this week!

Planned exercise was 104 minutes of yardwork, 60 minutes of heavy cleaning & 32 minutes of Dancing. Sample song (I’ve used this one before) was “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder.

06/29 …..196.8 ….. A perfect low carb day until……..10:00 PM when I made a late dinner for my son of tacos. I was hungry & couldn’t resist . I had two with cheese & sour cream. The meat, cheese & SC was carb friendly but the shells were 15 carbs each! I thought about having the filling without the shells but it was those crunchy shells I couldn’t resist so that explains the scale. Yesterdays stats: 2188 Calories In / 2644 Calories Out. 49 Net Carbs. 12,559 Total Steps & 5.31 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 33 minutes Wow!. I did 100 minutes of vigorous cleaning & 26 minutes of dance. Sample song “Shakin’ “ by Eddie Money.
06/30 …..196.0 ….. Finally a whoosh I’ve been waiting for! I had leftover taco meat so I got smart for a change. I picked up a two-pack of the over-sized portabella mushroom caps, scraped them out a bit & filled them with a very tiny cushion of cream cheese (because I was a touch short on meat). I then layered in the meat, the shredded cheese, a bit of taco sauce to brighten & a dollop of sour cream. Under 10 carbs for both & delicious. I did get a little hungry later but had a friendly keto snack & had a great night! Yesterday’s stats: 1285 Calories In / 2653 Calories Out. 25 Net Carbs. 13,636 Total Steps & 5.77 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 27 minutes. I didn't get in any dancing but I've noticed if I don't do it early I'm too tired after the motel & cabin work which usually ends about 10:00 PM. I am almost to my 2 pound goal this round. Pray for me!

@kmfeig87 Thanks Trina, I'm proud I resisted the crunchy corn shells this time. Another NSV today was that my daughter dropped off mini hostess donuts in the bag from the out of town outlet store. Not one bite in this mouth! I took the whole bag to brother's next door. My daughter thought me (or my son) might want them, but NEITHER ONE OF US needed them, so out the door & across the yard they went! Donuts are MY ABSOLUTELY WORST WEAKNESS so I'm beaming with pride right now. NO WAY were donuts going to ruin my final weigh-in for this round tomorrow!

06/22 134.2 Now that I'm down to the last 11 lbs (can't believe I'm finally saying that!), I need to figure out some real maintenance strategies. This is new territory, and I'm afraid of messing it up. From what I've learned from the maintenance forums, the trick is to go slooowly at the end. Hmmm, we'll see. I may reset my MFP goal to 1/2 lb a week when I have only 5 lbs to go, but not yet.
06/23 136.4 Everything was *super* salty yesterday and I didn't get in all my water (woke up this a.m. absolutely parched, which is never a good sign!). I thought it might show up 2 days days later, but here it is already. Because I've been doing this challenge long enough to have some insight into my weigh-ins, I know this isn't fat, and I'm not worried. Plus, after last round's whoosh of almost 6 lbs, I'm okay if the scale adjusts up a bit.
Advice from a maintainer that's good to keep in mind: "A slow, gradual upward creep over weeks is more likely to be fat gain. A big whalloping overnight gain from the middle of my range to/above the top of the range is more likely to be water/digestive contents. If I gain 3 pounds, and I'm pretty sure I didn't eat 10,500 calories above maintenance, I'm going to believe it's water weight/digestive contents, and give it a couple of days* to drop back rather than freaking out about it."
06/24 135.8 Despite my earlier declaration that I wasn't going to start slowing down yet, I got curious yesterday and played with the numbers by adjusting my MFP goal down to only 1/2 lb a week, which gives me almost 200 calories more per day. I've been stuck at only 1200 calories since I started logging in March, so I was excited to see such a "high" number (1390), and I used every calorie for once, plus a few extra. I'm completely sedentary- whatever the level below MFP's "Not Very Active" is, that's me- so none of this 'eat back your exercise calories' stuff for me, and it's a relief to think think I may be able to have a more relaxed calorie range at some point.

06/26 137 Booooo. My stomach is bloated and I feel like nothing is moving through my system properly, so that may be what's going on, but still, boooooo!
06/27 135.2 Maintaining in the 135s, sorta. Probably the healthiest thing after last round's loss. I'm really making peace with going more slowly because I've lost on average 7 lbs a month for the past 3 months, and I'm on the home stretch. Yes, it's summer, yes, I'm getting in a pool at a resort next week, and it would be awesome to be at goal weight already, but I need to be smart and think long term. Too much, too soon, and I'll lose muscle (and I ain't got much of that to start with!).

06/29 133.8 This is my lowest weight in over a year! I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so it won't last, but at least today, I can say I'm 10 lbs from goal.

06/22 67.2kg which is a great start especially after the slowness of last round.
06/23 67.6kg. No problem with this gain as I took husband out for a birthday dinner last night. I kept it Keto but didn't really watch the calories and we ate much later than normal.
06/24 67.7kg no worries. Short but nice run in the cold.
06/25 67.8 kg... I think the weekend calories should be done by now! Time to restart the downward trend. Days like these I'm glad I only record my weight on a Sunday.
06/26 67.9kg...ran in the cold. Can't wait for some light mornings after mid winter.
06/27 67.3 kg. Patience paying off. It was my husbands 50th yesterday and I made a Keto cheesecake for us all. It was surprisingly good and I only ate a small serving... Now to resist the other half sat in the fridge!
