07/02 - 166.5 Good day, cycled as planned, I'm feeling it in my legs! I'm behind on drinking my water though!
07/03 - 166.1 (-0.4) Gives me hope lol Yesterday was really good, but I was still doing my steps at 10pm lol one of the disadvantages of cycling to work is that I'm finding it harder to get my steps in!
07/04 - 166.1 (0.0) - Happy with a status quo, I had a pasta dish for dinner last night so I wasn't expecting any change even though I stayed within my calorie count. All my goals were covered for the day. Today is going to be hard as I'm going to the restaurant tonight. I don't often go (2-3 times year) because it's expensive here so I do tend to indulge on those rare occasions
07/05 - 166.2 (+0.1) - So considering I went to the restaurant yesterday evening I think it's not too bad. I was dreading weighing myself this morning! I've got another lunch date today but I'll try and stick to salads and avoid carbs today as I eat so much bread last night with the tapas yum !
07/06 - 161.7 (-4.5) This is weird, I don't normally loose so much but happy. However feeling a little light headed today.
07/07 - 164.9 (+3.2) I'm not really surprised, I ate all my sports calories yesterday as I was feeling totally drained the day before (tired and weak) I think I over did it during the week but now I'm feeling better. Going for a long walk today.

07/09 - 165.2 (+0.2) So this is the time when I have to try hard not to give up, I have been eating constantly my 1200 allocated calories (except one day when I also ate most of my daily exercise calories gained), cycling 5/6 days, getting my steps in but my weight just fluctuates so much and now I'm nearly back to my starting weight after all this effort, it's quite discouraging

No sweets, soda, alcohol,chips, processed meats, planning to clean up my act and make better choices. Bad knees are hindering my exercise efforts but theres still plenty I can do, had over 9000 steps yesterday and lifted weights. Hey, if theres a will theres a way.

7/02:242.2 at least not an increase. Did a four mile walk yesterday. Still tight from Saturday’s hike😂. Goal Is to reach 240 this round. Not even a 1% drop, but down is down.
7/03: 242.0 no walk in last night. Watched son play football receiver game.

7/05: 243.0 wow😂 no surprise this morning. I really did enjoy the forth. I ate a lot of beef and pork ( the baby back ribs were to die for. I know my body so I will be back on track today and the number is temporary. Goal is still 240 by Sunday. Hike tonight and Saturday.
7/06: 241 long hikes today. Body is tired but not sore. Total of 5-6 miles. They hikes are getting easier but not mountain hike conditioning. Still need another 5-6 wks. Knocking on 240 lbs. need to start resistance trading to ramp things up.
7/07: 239.2 lbs🎉🥳 this is a great way to start the day. Are well yesterday. Stayed with the life style change that actually is easier after a rough start. Better educated I have become on what my body actually likes and getting more activity in has been good. Now I can start using the gym membership I have not made time for. Will need to work out in the early evening to make sure the boys get to their respective sport commitments. 1 is just about ready to drive! Woohoo to me!!!!

07/05 – 145 – I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to post, but I’ve been weighing every day. We’ve got two more picnics this weekend, so I know I’ll be doing a lot of work over the next couple weeks to get back to a better maintenance range. I’m going to try to catch up on all the posts today before the new guests arrive. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

07/07 – 143 – I don’t know how this happened. Although I didn’t really overindulge with the food, I’ll admit I had quite a few adult beverages over the past couple days. We’ll see if it hits tomorrow, but otherwise I’m really happy with this weight after all the parties.

07/09 – 143 – Feeling pretty good about getting back to this weight. Now to keep it here or lower for Thursday.

7/10: - DNW - Last night I can stay with boyfriend until best friend leaves next Tuesday. Its only 6 days/nights but he has the kids this week and they are sad they won't be seeing me as much. I figured I'd spend a little bit extra time last night even though I'm EXHAUSTED and I hate waking up early (only 30 minutes earlier) and going to bed an hour and a half later. But I get so much better sleep there. Not sure if its because his bedroom is so cold (downstairs), the bed is so comfy, or if its his sleep habits (he'll reach over and put a hand on the top of my head or on my sternum/collarbone area protectively. And he's completely unaware he's doing it). Oh well. Best friend flies in this afternoon! Should be able to easily weigh in tomorrow but won't have the first 3 days of next round and Monday's weigh in isn't likely to be pretty knowing my best friend and I. Let's hope for the best. At least I know upping my calories has actually helped my plateau so I hope the damage isn't AS BAD as I think it will be.

Previous day's comments for R827/2: - Stayed at boyfriend's last night. Tomorrow is likely the only day I'll have a chance to weigh in. I'm trying to reverse diet a little with healthier meals this week because I've been at a deficit for awhile and I'm starting to gain if I eat anything more than 1200 calories. Especially after the week of extreme deficit (<800cal/day) due to stress. Going to try to introduce veggie-based smoothies (with just a little fruit for flavor) and include more veggies in all my meals to help fill me up as well, especially since I don't really eat breakfast and when I do, its pretty much all carbs like the bad girl I am. I desperately need to go grocery shopping tonight since I'll actually have the time (no baseball game).
7/3: - A lot better than I thought with all the food I ate yesterday but I did drink almost 100oz of water. I'm prepared for today with 2 smoothies (made mostly of spinach and cucumber with a little frozen fruit and my protein mixed in for flavor) and a chicken caesar salad for lunch with a small grilled chicken breast filet for extra protein. Finally went shopping and feeling prepared! Now to keep myself in line tomorrow for the 4th of July since its one of my favorite holidays!

7/8: - Not bad for such a long time away and the entire time spent with my boyfriend eating and drinking. Figured I'd be so so so much higher. Dehydrated a bit but working on that (really need to get the weekend thing down, but I never know what's going on, I just get told to "get in the truck" and off we go!) So tired. Stayed up to watch men's soccer with some friends and didn't get to bed until almost midnight. Leftovers from boyfriend's amazing dinner for lunch today so at least I have something good (: Here's to trying to stay awake (and focused) at work.
7/9: - That's a drop I didn't expect. I got hungry the end of the day and figured that'd put me way over. I've successfully been upping my calories and it seems to have broken my plateau. Unfortunately my crazy schedule as of late has not been a friend. My best friend arrives tomorrow and I imagine that will not bode well for my healthy eating but I'm going to make her try to keep things in check since she's wanted to lose as well. Slightly dehydrated still. Gonna work on that.

@nikki062181 Here is to meeting my goal in this 10 days. I was 17lbs from my goal weight and have since gained 17 additional pounds. That puts me 34lbs over. I went from 232 to 142lbs. I cannot let this get away from me. I have worked hard to lose this weight, and I need to be responsible enough to keep it off. I'd like to at least lose those 17 lbs before I have to start teaching again on August 7th.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK!
First step: Continue to track calories
Second step: Continue to measure my portions
Third step: Continue to cut out carbonated beverages

07/03 @ 9 a.m.: 152.8 I ate really well, but started getting hungry late night. I snacked, which is something I normally do not do. It was healthy, but it was late. I am also struggling with my water intake right now. I did go swimming though.
07/04 @ 9: 153 I ate well and stayed within my calories. I drank about 40 oz of water, which is a lot more than I usually do, so I do not get why it is creeping up. 😡 Happy 4th! 🥳💥
07/05 @ 7: 153.2 Ugh. Another 2 oz again. Weighed 2 hours earlier than usual due to a company coming out to do home repairs. Ate unhealthy last night and ate late. It was a holiday, and a rough one at that. My best friend passed away July 3rd last year due to someone texting while driving.

I've moved almost the entire 5 sq yards of soil and I've started planting my new flower beds. I decided a few weeks ago to give myself a "creative sabbatical" to get my yard in shape -- I'm a writer, but intentionally not writing this summer -- and it's clearing my mind and strengthening my body and spirit. Sometimes we have to feed the inner self as well as the outer. I'm also trying to let go of specific weight goals for now -- I'm healthy, my clothes fit, and as long as I hold or lose a little, I'm fine with that. But you guys help keep me mindful and mostly on track (since most people don't want to hear about nutrition & weight all the time!). Thanks!

Even turned down a late night glass of Rose that my husband had already poured me. I'm guessing the wedding cake caught up with me... not sure.. hoping some of it is water. Was really disappointed this morning but moving forward. I prepped meals for the whole week (breakfast and lunch at work).
7/9: 199.2 (-1.2) well how about that... had a good day yesterday, stayed on track, cravings hit hard at night but I stayed focused. Felt some fatigue/headache which I attribute to less carbs. Likely not making my goal for this round but not stressing it!
7/10: 198.4 (-0.8) 60 oz of water yesterday - getting there. Stayed within calories. Feeling good about the progress. The next 3 weeks my family visiting from Switzerland and both of them (brother and SIL) are on keto diet so hopefully that will be additional help i.e. not too much vacation splurging.

Goal for round 82 - being realistic, hoping to finish where I start. Traveling for part of this round so I'm making attainable goals. I won't be able to weigh or track well while gone so I'm going to make smart choices while not denying myself (portion control, movement every day, lots of water), and then resume tracking when I return.
7/2 - 139.3. Holding steady. Wins yesterday: 4 mile run (so humid outside!), 2.5 mile walk. Hydrated well. Slept well. Went over my calorie goal for the day but I didn't go in to a surplus due to my activity level.
7/3 -139.1. Lowest weight since I started tracking in March! Just in time go on vacation and undo that work 🤣. (Kidding I’m going to do the things I said on my goals above and hopefully not go too far off the rails). Wins yesterday: HIIT class, 2.75 mile walk, hydrated well, stayed in a deficit, slept well.
7/4 - traveling no scale. Wins yesterday: short weight circuit and elliptical finisher. 2 mile walk. Productive at work before my long weekend. However, I did indulge too much at dinner once we got to the lake house. Staying aware and mindful during vacation is going to be hard.
7/5 - traveling no scale. How I did on my vacation plan: movement - 5 mile run, short walk, swimming in the lake. Portion control - not the best, it’s so hard when everyone around you is pushing food on you and they have dessert with lunch and dinner! Water - didn’t drink as much as I should have in this heat and humidity. Will work on hydration more today.
7/6 - traveling no scale. How I did on my vacation plan: movement - 3.2 mile walk, stand up paddleboarding, some swimming in the lake. Hydration - pretty well, could always be better. Portion control - ok except for desserts! Had way too much cake.

swimming in the lake. Hydration - could have been better. Portion control - horrible. I had a binge. It sounds so silly that vacation causes stress and anxiety but it does when you’re in a house full of family for 4 days. And my daughter had an anxiety attack over something. So I fell apart. Back to real life today and will grocery shop, meal plan for the week, and work on the mental side to move past the binge.
7/8 - 142.2. WHOA. First day back and that's a shock. It shouldn't be as I binged this weekend. I really hope I didn't gain 3 lbs of actual weight in that short of time. I'm hoping some is bloat and I can drop at least part of this quickly now that I'm back home and in my normal routine. I did make it to a bodycombat class yesterday when I got home and did the grocery shopping for the week so my fridge and pantry are well stocked with better choices.
7/9 - 140.2. 2 lbs of bloat gone, this seems more like a reasonable vacation gain thankfully. Wins yesterday: 4 mile run, 3 mile walk, hydrated well, stayed in a deficit. Had a little ice cream but a normal portion so didn’t overdo it.
7/10 - 140.2. Wins yesterday: HIIT class and 2.5 mile walk. Hydrated well. Think I was even with my calories, not a deficit which is all on me but not a surplus either.

My goals for this round are to stay on track with my activity, water, calories, and overall food plan. I have pre-planned the 4th of July to be nicely in calories and hopefully I’ll stick to that plan.

07/03 314.8 I’m not surprised by a pound loss, I wasn’t feeling well yesterday and had trouble finding food I wanted to eat. I finally felt like eating midday when I had a snack to hold me off until dinner where I had a favorite comfort meal that I haven’t made in awhile. I weighed it all out though and despite it being a favorite I stayed within my calorie goal. My nsv yesterday was not eating junk or overeating just because I wasn’t feeling well.
07/04 314.6 I’m so happy that I didn’t bounce up a little. I wasn’t great with water yesterday and I took a longer morning walk because the temperature was so much cooler. I also take a rest day on Wednesdays, which I didn’t take yesterday because of the nicer weather.
07/05 314.8 I’m okay with this. I was under calories, but higher on carbs than I’ve been recently. I also need to get better with my water. My nsv was staying on track yesterday.
07/06 314.6 I think I’m holding onto water before tom arrives. This happened last month and I held steady (outside my binge gain) until tom arrived. This time though I will not have a binge and will be patient. Hopefully tom won’t be ten days late this month.
07/07 314.8 I did my strength training yesterday and it went well, I pushed a little harder this time so I’m glad I’m not up.
07/08 313.4 I’m really happy with this loss and my overall progress. Last night I went out with my husband for a dog walk and we planned to turn around at the next street, about a 600 total step walk. A few minutes after we passed that point I realized that we had passed it and our walk ended up being about 1600 steps instead. I was amused that I just didn’t notice, it was really nice.
07/09 313.4 Now starts the tom wait. I’m hopeful that the hip pain I have today is an indication that it will arrive soon as they usually go hand in hand. Due to the heat here and the hip pain I’m going to focus on doing upper body strength training today. My nsv yesterday was hitting 9k steps.
07/10 313.4 Thankfully tom started this morning and I should start having regular drops again soon. I got in an okay amount of steps yesterday and my upper body workout. Today is a rest day both due to my hip and the extreme heat.
