ROUND 84 (Round 26 for me)
5’4 ½” 67 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
Goal: Maintain between 135 and 140 lb. and increase muscle, endurance, and jogging distance (while not damaging my knees).
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-70 = 44 lb.
I started and finished the last four rounds with a high weight of 135. I’ve grown accustomed to the keto WOE and, mostly, stick to that, but I add extra carbs when I’m under 135, which is almost daily.
Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 131(something) I was in a hurry to leave the house and didn’t write it down.
07/23 131.6 I knew I missed a few days of the last round, but didn’t realize I only checked in the first day. I’ll try to do better this round. I had a stomach issue from eating too many carbs last week, and I lost a little more than I wanted to lose, but I’m okay now, and eating more carefully. I don’t want to go off keto, but if someone makes that decision, do it slowly. Your body will revolt more violently than it rebelled when you started keto. That’s been my experience, anyway.
07/24 131.8 We have a few unseasonably cool days this week (low 70’s in the morning and low 90’s in the afternoon), so Thor, my German Shepherd, and I walked Monday morning and walked/jogged this morning. It was nice! I can handle the heat better than Thor, since I don’t have long, thick, black hair, but he hates being left behind, so we only venture out on cool days.

Starting 8th round - these daily updates have been so helpful for me to stay on track! Thanks @GrandmaJackie !
Female, 57 yy, 4'11''
OSW: 177.1 lbs
LTG: 110.0 lbs
STG: 133.8 lbs 10 pounds away from MTG of healthy weight category - last seen 6/2011
MTG: 123.8 lbs Leave Overweight category and get into Healthy BMI range (<= 25)- last seen 6/2010
Goal for 10 day Challenge - lose 1.9 pounds (reach 132.0); should be able to make STG of 133.8 and then it is 10 pounds to the healthy weight BMI! Travel to a conference at end of week/early next week so eating lots of meals out will be a challenge.
Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 133.9 Starting off with a drop from the end of last round. Still not below lowest weight in last round, but will get there and make STG! Still felt like water retention from run/walk intervals on Saturday, but better after step & spin class today. NSV: bought cycle shoes which really helped in spin class today; will get the hang of them on the indoor cycles before even thinking about using them on my road bike :-)
07/23 133.7 Small drop, but going in the right direction! Weight day today, so working on form and increased weight for deadlift, squat and bench press. Some sort of stomach bug throughout the day, so just did not have the energy to go back later for intervals for cardio and the pilates class. Hoping that tomorrow is better. Food/water good.
07/24 133.5 Nice and steady (and still holding below STG)! A bit of a surprise after strength training and pasta for dinner, but was on target for calories yesterday (stomach bug probably helped clear out the system too). 60 minutes of spin class today and overall a lowish carb day (grilled peaches, pistachios and feta salad with salmon with a citrus sauce for dinner (basically trying to spruce up a SunBasket meal kit). Hope to get in an ab routine and some stretching for legs still before end of day.

My plan for the next 2 months (9 weeks) is to get dow to 68.0, that's 5kg to lose, which is 0.8kg each 10 day round. I have a bet with a friend to achieve this.
To do this, I will stick with logging, eat healthy and exercise. I will see how I can reduce my eating window during my work days.

So this minute loss is my body giving me the chance to make it a round number and aim for exactly 5kg loss...
Started day alright, very late breakfast, which was actually lunch, due to meetings, but managed ok. Was going to run in the eve but then DH suggested a bike ride. Fewer cals burned, but time well spent 🥰.
Dinner a little late, but resisted my urge to snack, so that's a win.

Yes, another evening I stayed strong and didn't snack. It was a struggle, but I won.
Good day, started with a run and exercise. Had a few snacks at work, but they fit within my cals and were on the healthier side.

That's the reward I needed for no LNS to stick with it Also, it matches MFP's prediction from 5 weeks ago, that's never happened before.
This week is crazy hot in the Netherlands, and I think most of Europe, so I started my morning with an easy walk before working from home. Due to meetings again didn't eat until late, which means I managed to fast for 16hrs again. In the evening, we decided to go to the cinema, have some burger at a new place, DH and I shared one and I went easy on the fries. Plus, we cycled there and back - becoming Dutch But then DH bought me popcorn, which I couldn't say No to. Overall good day, despite also heong caught in the European heatwave

I am officially 5 rounds away from turning the big 4-0! That means I have 50 days to lose another 5 pounds and be below 140. When I started way back in July of 2018 I thought I would have already reached my goal, but alas I am still working on it, lol. My only goal this round is to see a new low and that my 10 day average continues to drop, however slow that may be and believe me the last couple of rounds it has been extremely slow.
Round 80: 148.7 - 148.0 down .7 Avg 147.22
Round 81: 148.0 - 146.5 down 1.5 Avg 147.87
Round 82: 146.5 - 146.3 down .2 Avg 146.93
Round 83: 146.3 - 145.9 down .4 Avg 146.72
07/22 - 147.3 up from yesterday, but had a good day. Did eat at the mall and then do some snacking while meal prepping for the week. So I am sure I will be back down soon. Finished my daughters room and all the school shopping for both girls. Dinner planned tonight and breakfast/lunches planned for the week. On track for today and should be an early night to bed. The youngest starts her last year of elementary tomorrow since she is in year around. Can't believe I will finally be done with that school. From my oldest to the youngest I have been going there continuously for the last 16 years!
07/23 - 146.7 I overate last night and did some snacking after I got home from work. I was starving all day yesterday and couldn't curve it for some reason. It was just one of those days I guess. For the next 9 days I am going to try and do absolutely no snacking before dinner, while cooking, or clean up after dinner. I am just eating to eat at that point and there is no point to it. So day 1 let's see how I do.
07/24 - 144.4 yes! Finally now all I have to do is keep it down and drop a couple more ounces before the end of the month. I can see that 143.xxx right around the corner. On track for today and dinner set for tonight!

@shunggie In Alabama, we are also having unseasonably pleasant temperatures. Went for a walk at 10:30 this morning and it was 72 and breezy and barely humid! Sorry for everyone who is having our southern weather currently, but we in the south are enjoying the respite!
@deepwoodslady Good luck on the travel day. Chinese should be ok, you can keep it pretty low carb if you skip the rice!
@SheilaBoneham Sorry that your dinner wasn't as pleasant as it might have been! Good job for speaking out.4 -

@ConfidentRaven Congrats on the loss and those loose pants! Probably better to get some new ones rather than wear the ones you have with your daughter!
@quiltingjaine Me too on the size 4! Isn't it cool to fit into those? The first time, I thought it was a fluke, but I keep trying them and they keep fitting. I have to tell myself I can't buy every size 4 that fits, though!
@MadisonMolly2017 Congrats on getting back to that SCREAM weight! Awesome you!5 -

07/23 131.5 Ok....Still lower than last round except for the last day, but would prefer not to keep going up! 3 mile run this morning--felt pretty good, and sustained a decent pace! Then went to a really great yoga class!
07/24 131.5 Happy to see that the upward drift stopped. Tried out a new YMCA class--Body Jam. It was a dance class and although I wasn't spot on, I didn't totally embarrass myself and apparently I burned some calories. Then I went for a 4 mile very hilly walk.

Hi all, this is my second round and excited to see where this next round takes me. I first started my MFP journey in 2015. I dropped down to 138 pounds and went into maintenance. I was fine for awhile until my world went crazy and exercise was no longer a priority. After putting on over 20 pounds, I got back to working out and calorie counting diligently. I have IBS and no gallbladder, so I stick to a low fat diet. I am also hypothyroid which makes losing weight at times challenging. I keep on trucking because the pot of gold at the end of 🌈 is health and an increased life expectancy.

07/22 127lbs. Had a good workout 🏋️♀️. Yesterdays forced rest did my body good and I was able to easily knock out two hours of strength and aerobics. Ending my day with a yoga 🧘♀️ session for recovery. Feeling good, even with the scale not moving in a few days.
07/23 128.3lbs. Weight is up, trying not to panic and cut my daily calories. IBS flare up cut my workout short today and sent me home to bed with my heating pad. Crossing my fingers I will be all good tomorrow.
07/24 129lbs (sigh). Went on a ten mile walk with my son. Afterwards, every inch of my body hurt, while my son was still bouncing around full of energy. Lol, I thought he would collapse when we got home, but nope it was mid-30s old me. I did a good stretch drank down my protein shake and took a nap 😴. Hoping to see the scale go down tomorrow 🤞.

Thanks for your encouragement @musicsax! When I first found these 10-day challenges, I'd only been back on MFP for a month and felt like I had such a long way to go to reach my goal. Your posts were so inspiring because they helped me believe that not only could I reach my goal, but that I could make real lifestyle changes.
Thanks @FarmerCarla - that's the plan. But it is nice not having to buy too much on the way down3 -

Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 189.6 – Bit of a Monday morning bounce. Not a surprise given the sausage, snacks, and wine I had yesterday.
07/23 188.8 – Didn’t post yesterday because storms knocked out power for a while. The winds also took down some large tree branches, tossed around my patio shelter, and blew a large umbrella into the pool. Fortunately, we had no serious damage and once the rain ends it’s supposed to be a gorgeous week. That means I can get back to walking! Met my exercise goal yesterday by cleaning up the yard. Today’s “workout” was trying on clothes. Did some “shopping” in my closets today and scored 7 pairs of pants that now fit, including 4 pairs with tags on them that I bought at a clearance sale in 2017. Yay!
07/24 188.4 – Delightfully cool morning! What a pleasure after last week’s heat and humidity! Walked in the park after class, enjoying the lovely day. Ice cream with the kids put me over on calories, but I was enough under yesterday that it averaged out.

I had a stomach issue from eating too many carbs last week, and I lost a little more than I wanted to lose, but I’m okay now, and eating more carefully. I like the keto WOE and fully intend to stick with it, but if someone makes the decision to go back to carbs, I suggest you add carbs gradually. Your body will revolt more violently than it rebelled when you started keto. That’s been my experience, anyway.

@FarmerCarla that's been my experience, too- I've abruptly added in a 'regular' amount of carbs vs. added in very slowly, and wow! Slowly is the way to go. I feel achy and awful when I add too much, too soon.3 -

Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 133.2 Yay! Back to my lowest low since starting this journey. Thought I'd be up because I got a bit snackish yesterday with nibbles of brownie and a whole donut (though I stuck to my newish method of *savoring* the donut by cutting it into little bites). Fatigue is really doing me in lately, though, so I went to bed early and probably saved myself extra calories I'd have been tempted to eat.
07/23 134.4 Yesterday was ALL salt: steak and corn and homemade macaroni and cheese and baked potatoes, so being up a pound is expected. I liked Monday's 133, honestly, I think it was a fluke because my body has been more or less maintaining 134 for a month now. "Everyone" says it goes slower at the end- yep.
07/24 DNW Oops! I live in the U.S. and set the alarm early so I could watch news coverage of Congressional testimony and I totally forgot to go back upstairs to weigh. What can I say, I'm a political nerd!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 84 (round 16 for me ) I'm in for another round, still need to get back to end of round 76 weight ! Must stop messing about !!
Female age 61 5' 4”
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it!
Round goal – (same as last round!) – 130 which is just below the end weight of round 76 !

Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 133.8 – just short of 9 ¾ miles walked yesterday, walks sandwiched a christening midday followed by celebratory meal at an Indian restaurant (very tasty!, but high sodium/fat). I did drink absolutely loads throughout the day to try to compensate.
07/23 133.4 – 8 ¾ miles walked yesterday, I really need to reduce my carb intake, trouble is I love fruit!! Still I'm going to make an effort to reduce processed carbs to start with.
07/24 133.4 – 9 ½ miles walked yesterday – 179g carbs which is a reduction for me, they had crept up to over 200 every day!
07/25 132.4 – 10 miles walked yesterday – 228 carbs , 1634 cals in, 2396 cals out
