One month left of summer, so let's finish it off right!
In this group, we share our weekly/monthly goals, provide encouragement, and discuss the ups and downs of our weight loss journeys.
I originally started the "Women 200lb+, Let's ____" group to give myself some accountability. It's helped me to become more aware of patterns in my exercise and food rountines and has let me see when I'm slacking off. I'm so glad that so many of you have found this group and that we can all help motivate each other!

July was kinda of a rough month for me because I was away more days than I was home. So I'm committing myself to working twice as hard in August.
My weekly goals are:
Swim at least once per week.
Strength train at least once per week.
Exercise at least two other times (cardio or strength)
Eat at/below calorie limit 6/7 days.

A bit of a stretch but not unreasonably so I think. July has been good for numbers, but I've been pretty sick for most of it. Metformin and I were not friends. -_-13 -

At the moment, it’s hard to think of goals since I was up all night sick and my current goal is to keep down the chicken noodle soup I had a few minutes ago 😬
In June I managed to get strep twice and pneumonia followed by bronchitis and all the illnesses and steroids and medications in less than a month sent my system haywire. I went from perfectly fine blood pressure and blood glucose to dangerously high over just a few days 😢. So my main goal in August is to continue to get those numbers stabilized and lowered. I want to be able to get back off the bp meds at some point. I’m hoping to keep the Metformin, though, even when my blood glucose lowers, because I’ve been insulin resistant for over twenty years and the only time I loose weight and am not constantly hungry is when a doc prescribes Metformin. Most doctors would not because my blood glucose was okay, hence the starting weight 😖. Whether I exercised for hours and ate 1200 calories a day or barely exercised and ate whatever I wanted, it didn’t matter—I gained slowly but surely 😒7 -

My short term goals, which I’m finally meeting, are:
• drink at least 1L of just water every day
• go to the gym every morning I’m at work
• go swimming every week
• stop obsessing over weeklr weigh in!!
Today’s gonna be a rough day though, I’m bloated, it’s time of the month, and I’m pathetic when I’m in pain haha!! Must resist the comfort food.....
But by end of August I really want to have lost three stone, taking my weight down to 235, and finally get down to a dress size 20!7 -

Do not obess over the scale. Weigh on Monday morning only! Enjoy the non scale victories (NSV).
Log my food daily.
Arobic exercise 5 times a week and reformer pilates 2 times per week.
Weigh 225 by August 31.

GW: 195, then I establish a new goal
July was going well, but then I had a gout attack 10 days ago. Crazy super painful, so no real exercise for 6 days. I had so much swelling in my foot and lower leg that I gained 6 pounds. The swelling has subsided, and I can move my toe again. The weight from the swelling is gone plus one more pound.
August goals:
Get back on track with exercise - I’ve done great since Tuesday!
Stay away from junk food
Eat at home more often
Lose 6-8 pounds

Last year I worked hard to lose weight through diet and exercise I got all the way down to 142 in March of 18. Then I stopped eating low carb to get pregnant, gained 20 lbs in a few months, got pregnant. I started the pregnancy at 161. My baby is now 11 weeks old and I'm ready to work harder on my eating and start exercising again.
August goals, get down to 174 (overweight and not obese)
Start 21 day fix after our vacation.
Cut out extra sugars. No ice cream, I'm a sugar addict and need to stop sugar again.
Long term goal, get in better shape again so I can do Rugged Maniac in June 2020

I guess I'll jump in here, though I'm quite timid with committing to anything given my track record over the past week or so.

My goals are to drink water like it's my job, be active at least 20 minutes a day (easy on my gym days but I'm slack on off days), and to get more creative with getting more vegetables and fruits in my daily diet.
I don't have a weight loss goal because my body does whatever it wants and I would rather be pleasantly surprised at what it will offer me this month than disappointed that I didn't reach an arbitrary number.6 -

I just got back from vacation and gained 3 lbs! Anyhow, July has me down 0.2 overall.

I was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure and put on a low sodium diet along with several medications and restricted fluids. Interestingly none of the doctors mentioned my weight or recommended I lose any. Of course low sodium translated into fewer calories and now I am seeing some weight loss, and am planning on continuing slowly but steadily (I'm sure it is good for my heart as well!).

Joining for a bit of accountability so my birthday doesn't turn into a month of unhealthy food and drink like it usually does. I feel I've had a good few months and really don't want to mess it up.
Couple of goals for August:
* continue to log every day
* 3/4 workouts per week
* take the stairs at least once every day at work

My daughter was in congestive heart failure as an infant (caused by heart defects—she had open heart surgery to correct them and came out of CHF in the months following). She was on lasix which can drop your potassium levels too low and aldactone which can raise your potassium level too high. Together, they kept her potassium fairly stable . After keeping it stable for seven months, during recovery from her surgery they took her off aldactone but kept her on lasix and her potassium bottomed out within hours 😱. Hopefully you find the right mix of meds and diet to feel better and stay stable a nice long time 🙂2 -

Thank you for your kind words, so far I seem to be pretty stable. I will be seeing a cardiologist on August 16th for another check on my progress. My very best wishes for your daughter, I very much hope that everything will go well for her!!3 -

I am very glad to hear things are stable for you! In our world, stable is the very best of news! My daughter is turning 8 in September and while she will always have heart issues, she is currently stable . In the 7 and a half years since her surgery she’s had some setbacks and there’s a few more things to keep an eye on heartwise but for the moment we have that stable label so we have a reason to celebrate 🎉2 -
