I’m doing the Couch to 5k Program and this week I'm going to do my "week 3" over again as I haven’t run for a few days and there is hot weather planned this week.

08/21: 212. This is to be expected. Big Chinese buffet last night for DSs birthday. I had planned a fast for the rest of the week but I think it might be a better idea to wait and just be consistent with low calories & proper macros for this round
08/22 209.2. There we go, bye bye Chinese buffet! Hopefully the rest of this round goes like yesterday. I am not getting any organized exercise but I was active yesterday.
08/23: 207.8. I just need to remember to trust that my body works & that it will release the weight if I do the work. I am glad I made the decision to not fast this round. This is all just water loss from some not so decisions last week. I feel prepared to continue to make good decisions today.
08/24: 207.8. I am having a good on track week. I wanted chocolate. I wanted a drink, but resisted. I expect today to be more of the same. I have to work, so no yoga, but I am up early so I will go for a sunrise walk. My dog is already up & anxiously waiting as well.
08/25: 209… irritating. I logged my food, did not snack, had no alcohol, got 10 000+ steps… oh well. I need to trust that my body knows what it is doing. Retaining water for some mysterious purpose. I will continue to be consistent.

This will be the ten days I finally turn things around. The stress is still there but some with answers and others with things taken care off. I don’t want to be this way, but if things were that easy we would all be healthy. I truly debated on just giving up and living the life of an obese person, but I know I am better than this and I can beat this. 08/21 - 192.8. -5lbs. This is my first weigh in since starting 21 Day Fix 10 days ago and going lower carb so much of this is probably water weight but im happy!!

08/23 - 194.8 (+1.6) this one I'm surprised with. I did 17000 steps yesterday and a short workout and my fitbit said I burned about 3000 calories but only ate 1500. I had a shwarma salad for dinner from a restaurant. Maybe it's really high in sodium? Not worried - just surprised.

08/22-235.6 ⬇️ 0.4 lbs. good day for exercise (swam & walked). Didn’t meet food goals but not too far off.

8/21: 296.8 A nice loss to start the round. I’m slowly getting back into my routine and was able to get in some activity yesterday.

8/23: 296.4 I had a late dinner and slept poorly thanks to my continued cold. But I’m on track with calories and this blip will be short lived.
8/24: 298.8 All water weight. I ate closer to maintenance yesterday and it was a high carb day.

08/21 385.8 (-1.8) I got my 2nd order of imperfect fruit and veggies today and I am ready to eat healthy! My job made a new rule we can't eat at our desk now so that will help me. I am sure I will eat at my desk, but I will not eat as much since it is a rule NOT to do so. I guess we are back in school now. really? But I am going to use it as a plus for me. Today went very good for me. I ate a small snack on my 2 breaks. Ate gum and drunk water and I was good. A win win for me. We had a ice cream social today so I may gain tomorrow. It was a good splurge…. yummy. I was over my points today. Back on it tomorrow.
I had my physical yesterday. It went well. My doctor is so great! I had already emailed her that I had gained weight. She did not even mention my 11-pound weight gain, but we did map out a plan for my knees. and she is going to call me in a week after she talks with another one of my doctors. No diabetes or high blood pressure yet and she commended on that and did not chew me out for not coming in for over 4 months. My goal is to get under 350 by January 1st. It is a more realistic goal than getting in the 200's. Whenever I get around 350 to 340 it gets harder to lose weight. This weight is a set point weight for me if any of you are familiar with set point weights. I lost 5 lbs. last challenge. I am going to shoot for 7 this challenge since I am increasing my activity. I will be out of town this weekend and I doubt I will get it this weekend either. So, I will start another streak on Monday. I am taking fruit with me for the hotel room. 08/25 no weigh in – at hotel I had a good WW meeting yesterday and lost 4 lbs. I am back in the green at WW finally with that loss for a total of 1.8 lbs lost. I got my 7000 steps in yesterday. Enjoying trip! Will see a show tonight and have a late dinner afterwards. Hopefully I will not have gained too much tomorrow. I am thinking about not weighing in until Tuesday I don’t like missing 2 weigh-ins but when I take a vacation I give myself one day to get all salt etc out of me at least. :flowerforyou:

I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.

Weight & glucose up today. 2200 Calories In / 2448 Calories Out. 183 Carbs. 9783 Total Steps & 4.4 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 13 minutes. I did 63 minutes of heavy yard work & I walked for 44 minutes in my neighborhood to offset my lunch. Total extra burn was 529 calories. It’s true….You can’t outrun the fork!
08/22 …..196.2 Loss ….. Being higher on the scale than the end of last round doesn’t cut the mustard & I hate playing ketchup! Anyway, a nice half pound drop overnight so my hard work paid off yesterday. Yesterday’s stats: 1146 Calories In / 2853 Calories Out. 24 Net Carbs mostly fresh zucchini. 16,629 Total Steps & 7.04 Total Miles. 13/13 fitbit step hours. I slept 5 hours & 3 minutes. I walked for 71 minutes yesterday with neighbor & her dog, did yard work including weed pulling & transplanting for 56 minutes and I did some moderately light house cleaning for 30 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 875. I am feeling strong again today. I travel on Monday so I am trying to be extra mindful until then.

I slept 5 hours & 24 minutes. I did yard work including weeding & transplanting for 76 minutes. I did rigorous tourist cabin cleaning for 120 minutes. I did the elliptical for 13 minutes. I did low-impact aerobics for 13 minutes and I took a 53 minute walk at a moderately brisk pace with my 2 yr old grandson in stroller & my friend & her lovely dog. Extra calorie burn 1573. I am so proud of myself since I have been struggling with control since last Thanksgiving! I hope to keep up the momentum!

I will be flushing today with lots of water. I will also be extra strict & mindful of my dietary limits today. I’m not worried & its refreshing that I can realize that its okay & move forward with my goals & plan. I walked slow & leisurely for 48 minutes, rigorously clean tourist cabins for 100 minutes & walked at a 3.0 mph moderate pace for 14 minutes Total extra calorie burn was 726 calories. Today will be a blessed day & I will be on point.

Yesterday’s stats: 1124 Calories In / 2891 Calories Out. 27 Net Carbs. 17,185 Total Steps & 7.27 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 20 minutes which was disappointing. I took my moderately paced evening walk for 54 minutes, did 40 minutes of light cabin cleaning, 25 minutes of yard work / painting and I did 16 minutes of low-impact aerobics. Total extra calorie burn was 633. Sundays are always busy for me so I should have no problem getting my steps in. Exercise will be another story but I’ll fit in what I can. 8/21:211.2 There are 3 snacks that I love to eat and that I can eat without problems from my food sensitivities. Usually I eat 2 or 3 of these snacks every evening even if I'm not hungry. So yesterday I told my husband that I would only allow myself one snack each evening and that he could call me out if I ate more than one. So, last night I had one snack and it was interesting as I really became more aware of whether I was truly hungry or not or whether it was just boredom that has me snacking in the evening. This morning I also didn't feel as bloated. Run tonight.
