I hope to get 50 miles this month. I had an uneven start.

    8/2...2.12 miles.

    8/3....3.1 miles.

    8/7....5.27 miles.

    8/9...Indiana State Fair.

    8/11...4.2 miles.

    8/13....4.11 miles.

    8/17.....6.2 miles

8/21...Cutting the grass. Too late for a run. Sun had already set.

8/23....4.01 miles...After cutting the grass. Able to get a short run in before the sunset. Weather was cool, in the 70's.

8/24...7.06 miles. Weather was a little warmer,in the low 80's but not humid. No leg fatigue but noticed that I wasn't able to relax. It seemed like a long run.

My husband sees the orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday. I have been cutting the grass to help him out. It is cutting my run distance, but, oh well. May still meet goal. We'll see.

That dog with the creepy pink eyes showed up on the Monon. Not sure why it has weird looking eyes.

    total....36.07 miles
    goal...50 miles.

I think I found the answer for my next PR LOL:
Like the race to make the world's hottest pepper, there's also a heated competition in the culinary world to create the strongest cup of coffee. Right now, the apparent winner is Black Insomnia Coffee, which launched in South Africa last year. With a whopping 702 milligrams of caffeine per 12-ounce serving, Black Insomnia is four times stronger than the average cup of joe. If the idea of trying some makes your eye twitch with excitement, we have some great news: The coffee is now available in the United States.

Interesting read and something I have said with no expertise or authority in the past. Amateur athletes train way harder than pro/elites do. There might be something to learn in that... :)

Why You Might Need to Do More Low-Intensity, Steady-State (LISS) Cardio
No, killing yourself at high intensity won’t get you to your goal faster—but slowing down, even more than your “recovery” pace, just might:

@shanaber Oh my, you are a brave soul. I see upper 80's and I'm like "no way I'm getting out" nope. The humidity will kill me. You must be in awesome shape. My heart rate runs crazy, low 156 to high 176, no joke.

@cyoka13 Great job in the runs!!

@mbaker566 Hope the pesky sinus headache goes away!!

@PastorVincent Interesting article, thanks for sharing.
