    JFT Tuesday
Today I’m starting to try to shift my diet towards lectin free in an attempt to relieve some of my arthritis pain. It seems really difficult but we’ll see how it goes. It can’t hurt to try.
    1. Log all food
    2. Gym
    3. Drink 150oz water
    4. Healthy afternoon and evening snacks

    Scale goals
    End of 2017: 174.6
    End of 2018: 189.2
    January 2019: 186.0
    February 2019: 187.0
    Today: 192.6

    Ongoing plans/ideas behind the cut
    1. Purchases: Look for an "ugly Christmas sweater" and a long-haired doll at thrift stores. Practice French braiding. Go to used bookstore and look for On Writing (Stephen King), Dying for a Paycheck (Robin Hardman), The Prince (tr. Tim Parks, Russell Price, or Robert Adams), The Secret Adversary (Christie).
    2. E2: What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Create vocabulary lists for each unit that come from the texts used: Animal Farm, Julius Caesar, Wes Moore, I Am Malala. Find a way to incorporate changing words from one part of speech to another. Students need to know how to review multiple sources and synthesize information in order to draw a conclusion. Need practice with the difference between transitions and overlapping (at end of paragraph - "another issue is Y" vs "there are other issues besides X"). Quit using "in conclusion" and "I believe" and other writing-about-my-writing phrases. Confusion between direct/indirect objects and prepositional phrases. Use the UDHR and the Declaration of Independence to study paraphrasing; use that to front-load Machiavelli and how to deal with challenging texts. Confusion between everyday / every day and similar constructions.
    3. E1: Need practice with quoting & paraphrasing sources, identifying claims that would need support, use of last names for reference, and capitalization practice (common/proper nouns, titles). Difficulty using possessive nouns in their own writing. Honors: practice subject/object pronouns (my friend and I / my friend and me). Poetry: Revise "Songs are Poetry" handouts.
    4. Curriculum Development: Writing mini-unit. Review scholarly research on 5PE. (I think I can have this as an intro to the research unit so that they also get exposure to how quotes are integrated and cited.) Parallel structure; use of emotional language, specific detail. Use "Write About a Pebble" lesson from Atwell. How long should each unit take? Do research on characteristics: curiosity, persistence, resilience, creativity, responsibility, optimism, courage, integrity, authenticity, leadership, self-awareness, humility, compassion - others? Include grammarly check on essays! Review assessments. What is the purpose for each unit? What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Schedule assessments for Fall 2019; plan out return times. Write 1 reflection weekly; type one in Classroom by Weds. Copy-paste to PB for comments due Friday. PB usernames 6 digits, no 19 or 20s, no birthdates. Homework: Online journal Mon due Tue; Reflection Tue due Wed; C&P journal in class Wed; Comments Thu due Fri. Bonus if you are the first response; further bonus if you respond to comments on your post. Grammar practice Mon & Wed; quiz Fri.
    5. Professional Development: Write blog post weekly. Comment on 3 posts each week -Tu Th Sun? Check with PSC. Talk with Z about articles and/or conference proposals. NOTE: ATTENDED PRE FLEX DAY.
    6. Medical: Dentist Oct 29 8 AM. Onco Oct 22 9:30. PCP Sept 18 10:15. ObG Oct 22 10:30. GET MAGAZINES FOR COLLAGES FROM DOCTORS. PCP - allergy shots?
    7. Theater: Mamma Mia. Next?
    8. House: Mineral oil on tile spots. Check with D about ceiling.
    9. Fun: Open beading on Thursdays. Coloring at library on Tuesday. Put jewelry away. Edney Hack Nights alt Weds. ASL? Spanish/Portuguese practice? Practice piano. ROL Secret Adversary. Buy new bikes and bike night for car.
    10. Volunteering ideas: Theater. Library. Animal shelter.

WFTY: Climbing. I am immensely frustrated with myself. I don't binge. But I snack. And it's like I have this stubborn two-year-old inside of me that repeatedly says "But I want it! PLEEEEASE?" And I cave SO MUCH.

Firstly, I finally weighed myself for the Discard 5lb challenge Round 2.
    SW: 147.2
    CW: 147.2
    GW: 142

The long weekend was good. No real plans. Went for a bike ride with hubby Saturday, then mostly just helped my youngest daughter with her history project. We painted and laughed and I even learned a little about the Indus River Valley Civilization and the Goddess Kali.

Went to CrossFit last Friday and it was good. Went back today and I felt like a weak, uncoordinated idiot. Such is life. I didn't cry and I didn't quit. As a matter of fact I paid for 9 more classes. WTF was I thinking. Get up at 4:15am to drive 30 minutes, to feel like a schmuck. Yeah, I'm going to try something new in hopes for a different outcome. Consistence has not been my thing as of late, so we'll see.

    JFT Tuesday
    - Up at 4:20, gym by 5:30, try not to cry, try not to die by 6:30
    - Protein bar
    - Home, weigh, shower, work by 8:30
    - Set up testing to come out by 12:00p
    - Leave work at 9:00, pick up kid at 9:20, orthodontist 9:45, Subway for kid, back to school, back to work
    - Cancel bank card and order a new one.
    - Lunch (salmon with salad)
    - Run samples
    - Fool with XRay
    - Work Late, 6:00 or 6:30
    - Maybe go for a walk
    - No alcohol
    - Bible Reading
    - Bed by 10:00am

Right okay, so Ash had an accident in the car the other day. It was very low mph. He rear-ended someone but it wasnt fully his fault, just unavoidable really.
The man in front was turning left (same as ash) onto a narrow strip of road, theres no give way signs or priority signs so people just judge between themselves to get down the road and letting others have right of way.

So thr guy infront makes the turning, and he was round the corner and ash pulled out too, the guy infront slammed on the brakes because some a hole decided to force his way down the street at speed, and ash slammed on but it was too late.
Fortunately, the guy infront only had paint damage, our front end is pretty trashed. And he was happy enough to leave insurance out of it as his damage was so minor, so he got it priced up and it was 300 quid which were paying tomorrow.
    So thats sorted.
So we had to ask ashs mum for 200 quid. Shes just moved house so shes stressed, but she does have a large sum of excess money as she made profit on her old house. Now i know that means it doesnt mean we have a right to it which is fair enough and we didnt even think of it in that way, (but she took jt that way, that we were just after money) his dad said that if he didnt have to run it through her he would of helped in an instance, moneys just money and it eas an accident. But she always seems to think we do things on purpose to get money. Bearing in mind were going to pay her back, we dont struggle as much as we used to now we have a proper budget. But all our excess money is at the end of the month.

So basically she grilled ash for 5 hours about it when we had gone round, then assumed we only went for money which we actualy went to take the kids round before they went back to school but they werent interested.
We then went back today to carry on helping out with clearing their garden but they clearly just didnt want us there. It was awkward as hell.

So ash ifs feeling pretty crappy about that, he didnt want a side order of guilt. And then today, ANOTHER person oulled out on us and wehad to slam on AGAIN. we shouted at them, and they said sorry, and we said well you wouldnt be just sorry if we hit you, youd be hurt. We were then okay with him, it just shocked us adter the crash the other day. Then a bus driver, out of effing no where shouted "get on with it "

Ash unleashed his wrath and you know what, i didnt even stop him.

So yeah, stress stress and more stress.

So we decided to sod his parents for the time being, and focus on us and the girls, so we had a day with Casey, ash had a bath with sask and we played with them for a bit, and me and ash had some time together and were feeling better again.

    Sorry that was an ESSAY!

TLDR: Me and ash had 4 consecutive stressful days, thats why ive not been here, but all good now lol!

My mom is pissed at me as well, and I don't even know why. She is doing her passive aggressive thing and I've just decided to let her be miserable. I text her every few days get a short one word reply and then move on with my day. I just refuse to ask her what is wrong, because I'm just not up for the guilt or the drama. That woman is bat *kitten* crazy!

That being said, I'm glad you are getting some time with the family away from the craziness that is life!

    Take care love!

Yeah its hopefully an ongoing challenge. So as soon as someone loses 5lbs it resets with everyones current weight. Weve had one winner so far so it reset a few days ago.
I think the only rules were weighing a couple of times to make sure it was accurate.
No extreme dieting or anything deemed unhealthy.
No one with eating disorders because we dont want to encourage an illness
And aslong as your weight shows -5lb then you win, doesnt matter if its up the next day because you cant help the daily fluctuations, just be as accurate as you can!

    You in? :)

    Tuesday 3 September

Just realised I failed to post goals today. I did stay in the green and ate 5 fruit and veg plus meet my Fitbit goals. I have new wool to make an Arran sweater dress and got absorbed in that. I did not drink water and did not get out for a walk. The bathroom is now draining properly so I cancelled the plumber. Fingers crossed that the problem has gone away after my efforts with the plunger.

Reasonable day diet wise yesterday. I did get bored and demotivated at work but managed to lift my mood by listening to music and did not buy food on the way home.

I also managed not to buy wine on the way home despite really feeling like a glass of red wine. I did however have a couple of slimline G&Ts at home but I'm not going to beat myself up about that. I do want to get out of the habit of having alcohol on non-socialising work nights but I can't break every habit at once! I'll crack the binging first, then look at the alcohol. In the meantime, I'm going to moderate the alcohol, sticking to a specific number of units so that across the week as a whole I stay in guidelines.

    Yesterday's commitments:

    - Log everything I eat :)
    - Stay within 50 of green >:)
    - Stick to food plan :/
    - 4+ bottles water :)
    - No alcohol :/

    - No eating whilst standing :)
    - Savour every bite :|
    - Talk back to sabotaging thoughts :)Stopped myself buying food and wine on my way home
    - Give myself credit! :|
    - Stay positive :)I felt pretty demotivated mid afternoon and wanted a sugar lift but I put on some music instead and just pushed through

    - 30+ minute lunch break :)
    - Finish work by 6.30 pm latest :)
    - Read something for job interview :)
    - Help boyfriend with settled status application :/He left work super late so we didn't have a lot of time. We've decided to do it on Thu/Fri when we have more time as it may take a little while. We really have to do it then though, don't want him to get kicked out of the country...
    - Pack bag for running :)
    - Gratitude journal :)
    - Lights off by 11 :/A bit later, was enjoying my book too much
