OH, I only found this thread today! And it ends in a few days, so I'll keep my eyes out for it, I'd like to play next time, I need some accountability! But, may I ask what "rounds" are? Is that how many times you've played? So each round would = 10 days? Just want to make sure I know what I'm doing when I join in with y'all.

09/10 194.6 (-0.2) not s great food day. Didn't measure or weigh my food and ended up eating crackers and cheese and meat sticks for dinner. Felt really off in general and unmotivated. Didn't do my workout. Trying to get back into routine tomorrow.
09/11 191.6 (-3.0) ok wow! That's quite a woosh! Got back to my workout program yesterday and food was a little on the low side. I've been drinking a tonne of water (like 150 oz.?) But I feel dehydrated this am. Strange. I was feeling kind of bloaty and puffy this am so didn't expect the drop but I'm glad because I was starting to get nervous that this wasn't going to work for me. (I know CICO is science and thus works for everyone, but the time it takes to see the trend and the bouncing weight levels makes me think it's not working and then I get sloppy and then it really doesn't work. Lol)
09/12 193 (+1.4). Ugh always with the up and down! 18K steps and workout yesterday. Was super hungry so ate most of my exercise calories back.
09/13 192.4 (-0.6) wine and chips and dessert after dinner last night. Still a small deficit but not much of one. Back to healthier choices today.
09/14 193.8 (1.4) ok I keep saying I'm going to clean up my food but then I just.... don't? And then complain when I don't lose? Lol. Last night wad wings, poutine, wine, chips. I DID do my workout though so there's that.

09/16 196 (+2) went to dr prescribed metabolic clinic today (aka fat camp for grownups). Found out my bf% is 42% !! Clinic is not private but government run by doctors with specialized degrees in nutrition and obesity science. Focus seems to be on hormones that are responsible for fat storage (insulin and cortisol ) and using plans that regulate those levels and encourage fat loss. Interestingly, when I asked about CICO, the response was that it's a bit of an outdated approach and neglects the factors that complicate weight loss. (My wording) I pointed out that eating to their plan would by nature put a person with a calorie limit so it would still fit CiCO but essentially it's the same thing I always think which is that while weight loss is the simple CICO formula, nutrition and body biochemistry (?) is not so simple and what we eat and the macros therein affect us in many ways. And thus adjusting those levels can contribute to function and health (and weight loss) in many ways. Soap box rant over. I'm going to follow their plan since it's fairly close to my current approach anyhow and it gives me free access to fancy measurement metrics every two weeks and I'm a data nerd.

Female, 5β, 66 years. Goals β finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW β 162.2, GW β 160.8, UGW β 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)

Have been good about snacking though β Iβve got a new cross stitch project on the go that Iβm super excited to do and have to have clean hands so stitching has been winning out over snacking.
09/11 β 162 β Sun is finally out so it will be a working outside day. Tracked all cals. yesterday but no exercise. No LNS though.
09/12 β 162 β Warm up exercises, 3 hrs. outside work, no LNS but did not log all.

09/10:209.8 Hardly drank any water yesterday and hardly drank any water today. I ate 2 snacks yesterday evening and even though I had the calories for the 2nd snack I wasn't hungry and I only ate it because I had the calories...need to work on that.
09/11:209.4 Was busy at work again and didn't drink as much water as I should have. Went out to lunch today and met with my strength coach.
09/12:208.5 Had a great workout yesterday, but the dog woke me up early this morning so sleep wasn't great. It was a busy week in court this week, so I left work early today. I'm going to take the dog on a short hike this afternoon as it looks like this will be the last sunny day for awhile.
09/13:208.7 Even though I had another night of horrible sleep, I still went to the gym at 6 this morning. Movie and dinner tonight, so I wanted to make sure I got my workout in this morning.
09/14:208.1 Went out to dinner last night and going out to a movie today. I'm kind of surprised about the drop in weight today because I thought there would be instant water retention from dinner last night, and the fact that I didn't drink much water yeseterday, but it could also show up on the scale tomorow. Goal is to get water in today.
09/15:209.2 Uptick is due to movie popcorn and lack of water. Strength coach today. It will be raining all day so plan is to watch football and do things around the house including finish putting up pictures over the fireplace.
09/16: 208.5 There goes some of the water weight. My husband started up again on MFP about three weeks ago, he hasn't weighed himself since he started, and this morning he weighed himself and realized that he had lost 15lbs! He also started weight training with his PT. I am very excited for him.

Hi everyone. I am hoping to get back on track this round. The last 3 rounds have not been my best and I have just been maintaining around the same 5 pounds or so. My birthday and TOM will happen in this round so I am expecting pretty much the same results, but hopefully I can get my healthy/low calorie eating skills back on track. Not really looking to lose seeing as I will probably stall for 5-6 days and have 2 restaurant meals out for my bday. Thought about not posting at all this round, but then I really would go off the deep end and I don't want that to happen. So I am staying here, posting, and being accountable for my actions.

09/10 - 146.5 up a bit more than I expected this morning, but not mad about it. When I started this in July of 2018 at almost 180 pounds, one of my only goals was to be in a healthy BMI and to feel better about myself when I turned 40. I have 5 amazing kids (ages 20 to11 years old), a wonderful husband, and have so much to be thankful for in my life, but I did not like what I saw in the mirror a year ago. I have not reached my ultimate goal of 135 (which has been changed multiple times in the last couple of months), but am very happy with my progress so far. I have lost around 35 pounds and am currently working on my last 10. Maybe I will be there for my 41st birthday next year, lol. Thank you everybody who has supported me and helped me along the way with my good and bad days. Happy 40th bday to me!!!!
09/11 - 143.8 this is fro dehydration and way to much alcohol. Did have a really good birthday though. Should be up tomorrow I am assuming.
09/12 - 145.8 I figured plus we went out last night for dinner and our reservation was originally at 7:30, but did not get seated until 8:30. So late dinner plus 2 margaritas waiting to be seated and 2 beers with dinner. Officially done with my break and back on the wagon.
09/13 - 143.8 Had a good day yesterday and I am getting back on track. My TOM should be here any day so I am figuring I will stall, but as long as I can get back into the groove of things and then I can shake things up next round. A little over a month on my "diet break" and I am only a couple of pounds up from where I was so I am not mad at all.
09/14 - 143.2 Iβll take this. Iβm hoping to have another pound or so of water weight. Hopefully I can stay on track today. The weekends are a killer for me.
09/15 - 144.8 stayed on track, but may have been a little more sodium than normal. Sundayβs are my hardest day of the week. Letβs see how it goes.
09/16 - 146.3 DARN-IT! I was doing so well, lol. The chips and dip in my fridge got to me yesterday. I almost beat the craving, but I eventually gave in. TOM should be arriving today to, so this may be a little bit from that to. 3 more days to get back down to 143 or maybe even 142. Crock pot chicken tacos and beans for dinner tonight, so should be able to stay on track.

09/10: 204.2! Coming down again from my frustrating jump up at the end of last round. Hopefully releasing water weight. Trying to stick well to my food and exercise goals and trying to drink lots of water to reduce water retention. IDK if that's actually true or not, but I remember hearing somewhere that drinking more keeps you from holding on to water weight as much. Had a good day of work today, hoping to be more productive in that sphere as well. Was letting depression get the better of me the past couple weeks and my productivity definitely took a toll.
09/11: 205... Well, I just don't know why. Had almost no appetite so did not overeat yesterday at all and yet here we are with a bump. Nothing to do but push forward... Keep sticking to it and hope for some progress. I knew losing weight with PCOS is tough so I just need to be tougher.
09/12: 203.2! Idk why yesterday I was so high and today I'm so low, but a win is a win, so I'll take it! Going to ride the wave of progress today and get some good work done, exercise hard and stick to my food goals. I made a keto pizza last night with almond flour fathead dough and it was pretty decent. I hope its leftovers make a nice lunch
09/13: 203.2! Wahoo! Staying level! Got some intense exercise in and did a good job of sticking to my food goals. Didn't get a lot of work done, had to take a half day to get to spend some time w my partner before he leaves for 10 days this evening. We played pool so that's been fun to learn
09/14: 202.8! Omygosh! So happy π went for a really long kayak and saw loads of otters and seals. My first time seeing otters, so amazing. Was hard to focus my camera on them with the strong winds blowing me away. Had a great time and ate very healthy before and after.
09/15: 202.2!! Wow! Did lots of chores. Trimmed my hedges and now my forearms are ready to explode. Eating healthy and trying to be productive with chores today
09/16: 202! Really happy I havent had a pop up yet. Fingers crossed I stay down. Had an intense workout and got lots of work done. One of those days where I was so busy working in the lab, I forgot to decontaminate and go eat/drink/take any break whatsoever. Will try to drink a lot on my commute home and eat a hearty dinner when I get home to make up for the lack of food today

11: 221.8 Still going strong with my eating choices. Haven't gotten back to exercising yet. I thought I'd start a couple days ago, but I think I need to start the day my kids go to their dad's. Maybe I can get a few days in to restart the habit while I don't have so much other stuff to juggle.

09/10 β 187.4 β Up to start, but no surprise. Yesterday was exhausting, and I didnβt make the best food choices. Did much better today. Walked to the lake with my grandson after school, delighting in the easy conversation and the beauty of the late summer meadow. Now Iβve got the kettle on for some herb tea and will grade a few more assignments after I post this. Hope to get enough done that I can go down to the beach for a bit tomorrow.
09/11 β 186.0 β That looks better. Somber morning, but I did get to the beach after class. Didnβt get much walking in, but I had a lovely lunch with my mom, sister, and daughter.
09/12 β 185.2 β Another nice drop. I suppose itβs the rest of the water gain from earlier in the week. No time to walk before the rain started, but I logged and met my calorie goal.
09/13 β 184.4 β Surprised to see another drop, but I did have a pretty big water drop in the first few days after my long vacation in June. During that trip, I got a lot of extra exercise most days to offset the extra calories. After shedding retained water, it looked like I might even have lost a bit during my 3 Β½ weeks away. This past vacation wasnβt very active, but I tried to keep an eye on portion sizes and balance the indulgences with some lighter meals. And it appears to have worked! Itβs reassuring to see that I can maintain some good habits and accountability even during a break from logging and daily weighing. Thatβs really motivating!

09/16 β 186.0 β Post-road trip bounce. I had a great weekend visiting my son and celebrating his birthday. I can easily pass on most cakes, but my daughter-in-law is a fantastic baker. Her wonderfully moist, subtly spiced carrot cake with cream cheese frosting was worth every calorie! Didnβt bother trying to figure out calories or log, but Iβm back in my own kitchen and back to the routine today.

9/10 - 155.5 - after 2 days of not weighing, itβs nice to see this drop. My SO thinks Iβm not eating because Iβm basically just eating OMAD. Iβm eating when Iβm hungry, just not as much as I used to and not giving in to all of the cravings. Craving fish, so thatβs whatβs coming out of the freezer for today.

9/14 - 154 - Let me just say WOW! Wasnβt expecting that!! Iβve been trying to be super good the last 3 days, but the stress of work makes it harder. Actually went to the cafeteria with a friend yesterday & chose not to get anything, despite the temptations. I feel like Iβm making progress mentally too.

09/10 121.9 Fast start to the round! A 1.3 drop is likely a water whoosh (particularly after the drops in last round at the end), so expecting weight tomorrow will be back up! (will enjoy the drop for now LOL) Ate lunch out and tried to guesstimate, and may end up being over for the day on calories. Dinner tonight was from SunBasket (which provides total macros, but not for the ingredients) - I did not use all of the dressing/oil so that may balance everything out in the end! Good day on exercise.
09/11 122.6 up as predicted, but really on track and part of my typical weight loss pattern. Girl Power this morning and spin for cardio later in the day. Having pasta tonight so need to preplan carbs and fat for the day to try to stay on track.
09/12 122.8 Some DOMS after deadlifts (starting at 95 lbs)
09/13 122.4 Latin Dance and express cycle class for cardio
09/14 122.4 Xtrain + workout Stage 2A from Strong. Over did wine and had a great dinner out (was low carb at least other than the wine) so treated last night as a cheat night. Nice to see weight did not
09/15 122.2 Xtrain - focused on increasing average power during the cycle half of class (increased over previous week and up to a PWR of 3.6 - best yet!)
09/16 122.4 Busy with work so catching up on posting for the last few days! Weight has been hovering in the 122.X's for the last several days after initial whoosh. But gain from yesterday is muscle according to scale, so will take that as a plus! Girl power this am (working on bench press primarily (starting at 55 lbs), but also did a lot of quad work with walking lunges. Spin class for cardio this evening. weight training often leads to a slight bump (DOMS, water retention with muscle repair) and dinner tonight accidentally had too much salt (needed to replenish some after spin class though :-) but calories should be good for the day so will just wait and see what tomorrow brings!

Hi Lisa! Have you tried dandelion or orange peel teas? I'm not plagued by TOM any longer, but they worked wonders for me for years! Hope it helps5 -

Hi. My name is Trina. I've been back on MFP for a little over a year now, am down 69 pounds and just 2 pounds from my revised goal weight! Closing in on those final pounds!! I skipped town at the end of Round 86 to head north, visit my mom and drop my middle son off at college. Mom travelled back with me on the slow dilly dally route. She was going to stay thru my surgery, but....surgery date finally got scheduled for 9/24. So she will fly back to Connecticut tomorrow, my husband will take a week off after my surgery (double mastectomy) and then my mom will come back for 3-4 weeks just before he goes back to work. I have been exercising and eating mindfully the last two rounds, but haven't been logging food. I should get back to that, but I was happy to see that I've been sticking right around 129-130 the past week. Good luck everyone!

09/11 131.5 Bloated today plus lunch out and no steps yesterday plus I felt awful.
09/12 130 Feeling much better today. Went for a hilly walk this morning!
09/13 131.5 A bit bloated. Did and steps ate well yesterday.
09/14 130 Back here again. Lots of exercise yesterday, but too many cookies. I ate pretty weird because I was chaperoning the band. I brought a cheese stick, 3 hardboiled eggs and peanuts, and then had some cheese (and crackers) and cake when I got home.
09/15 130.5 Probably cookies from Friday...also had more cake for my son's ongoing birthday. I went to zumba....but ended the day a bit short on steps!
09/16 132 Went to a "Taste of the City" event yesterday. Didn't eat THAT much, but boy did I feel full all day, and definitely had some carbs. I'm assuming it will be back down tomorrow.
