Round 89 – September 10 to 19
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 162.2, GW – 160.8, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)

09/10 – 161.8 – Happy to see a 161 this morning. Not much exercise yesterday, raining again so painted the trim in my office. Have been good about snacking though – I’ve got a new cross stitch project on the go that I’m super excited to do and have to have clean hands so stitching has been winning out over snacking.
09/11 – 162 – Sun is finally out so it will be a working outside day. Tracked all cals. yesterday but no exercise. No LNS though.
09/12 – 162 – Warm up exercises, 3 hrs. outside work, no LNS but did not log all.
09/13 – 162 – No indoor exercise but several hours outside, no LNS and did not log but kept cals reasonable.

09/12 81 kg (+0.1kg) Did a lot of exercise yesterday and ate around 1600 calories.
09/13 81 kg (+0.1kg) I am been doing blogilates 100ab and glute challenge these last days. My body is sore! Think I am going to try to eat more low carb-meals from now. In my experience it is usually easier for me to stay to my calorie goal if I don’t eat to many carbs.
09/14 ??kg I did not have access to a scale yesterday.
09/15 81.6kg (+0.8kg) I walked over 10 km on both friday and saturday. So I am happy with that. I was eating out a lot and it is impossible to count calories then. Did chose the healthy options, but I am still bloated today from the wine I drank yesterday.

I'm new here, my first round. My personal challenge is to beat my personal best of losing weight 18 weeks in a row. I did that by eating the same thing most days. That corresponds to 12 rounds.
Tuesday 10th 87.6 salt affected, waist 102.5, I ate well but there was too much sugar, I didn't exercise, that'll happen on Sunday
Wednesday 11th 87.0 I ate pretty well, although again it's sugar which is the problem
Thursday 12th 87.0 I didn't eat particularly well, my intake was higher than maintenance
Friday 13th (!) 87.2 after affects of yesterday's splurge, I treated myself because I am moving out tomorrow and feeling unhappy about it
Saturday 14th 87.2 I ate alright but probably higher than maintenance, moving out and not happy about it

09/10: 136.8, have dinner with a friend tonight and a tennis lesson so hopefully the additional exercise of a lesson will combat some of the eating out aspect of the day.
09/11: 136.6, woke up with a dry throat so have a feeling I picked something up from my niece when I babysat her. Today have a family members birthday dinner out at a restaurant I really love, but might just go with soup to better my odds of getting well. Officially have a 25.9 BMI so only .9 to healthy. I started in the 32s I believe so what a difference 10 months is.
09/12:136.1, officially have a cold so didn’t go to the gym yesterday and won’t go today either. Going to sleep today to try to kick this as fast as I can
09/13: 135.9, so sick of being in bed but feel better than yesterday so I think it’s working. I have a concert on Sunday that I really hope I’m going to be ok for!
09/14: 135.7, I’m still not 100%, but hope to go back to working out a bit tomorrow or Monday
09/15: 135.7, feel much better today, but woke up very thirsty so will prioritIze water today. It’s been very warm here so might try to get some of the liquid in with popsicles for my throat at well.

Re: "eating back calories", I NEVER do that, as the calories almost every source lists for calorie expenditure are so off-the-mark. The "eating back calories" model sinks a LOT of people on MFP. Unless you are a hardcore athlete, I wouldn't recommend it.
I agree - just seeing calories burned can be an incentive to overeat. I turned mine off... even the calories logged thru my Fitbit, which are likely more accurate, don't count into my day. I also reset my daily calorie goal just slightly above my BMR... If I eat at the MFP recommended 1200, I am starving. Even at 1400, I was not seeing consistent results. I think I've found a plan now that works and doesn't leave me susceptible to cravings or binges. MFP is just helping me track, which is critical. Plus, finding friends like you... that's where MFP's value is for me. 🥰7 -

09/10 -200lbs- I am ordering my new scale today so I can monitor my weight better. Got my walk in early this morning because it is going to be 95 degrees here today and it doesn't cool down until after dark. I am not generally a morning person but I have to admit that the slight crispness in the early morning air is very nice!
09/11 -199lbs- Walk was a bit slower today. I am counting this as a rest day. Calorie intake and logging was good yesterday. I am thinking about joining a gym because winter will be here eventually and while I love my walks I hate being cold!
09/12 -199lbs- My new scales should be here today! I felt really shaky yesterday. Don't know why. I did make sure I ate back some of my exercise calories and nutrition looked pretty good...I do feel better today and had a great walk this morning. I am worth this effort and so are YOU!
09/13 -197.1lbs- Thank you, new digital scales for that drop! HaHa! I still want to lose another pound during this challenge. I feel good today except I have about a hundred things that need to be done and I need to stay on top of healthy meal planning!

My goal is to get back to my lower calorie goal and start losing more than water weight.
09/10 298.8 Guess I was wrong, there was still some water weight to be lost! Today will be my last maintenance day of this set. I’m planning a day or two of eating at maintenance calories here or there for special occasions now that I know that I can stay on plan more often than not.
09/11 299.2 A bit of a bounce up, but dinner was high in sodium so I’m not surprised. Back to lower calories today. I’m ending the maintenance break at only 3 pounds higher than I started it at. I don’t think that’s too bad at all.
09/12 297.4 Who knew that I still had water weight to drop? I did pretty well yesterday staying on track. It doesn’t hurt that I’ve decided that I’m not going to be as aggressive in my weight loss goals for the moment. I know that I can be if I want, but I think that led to the binges and struggling in August. I still plan to lose, but I’ve set my calorie goals for a little higher than I did before in hopes that it will lead to fewer binges and less struggling. If it doesn’t work out I can always change things.

I did better yesterday with snacking (as in, I didn’t), but a friend gave me a gorgeous eggplant, so eggplant parmigiana for dinner. Yummy, but cheesy and therefore salty and caloric. Salads today! I also want to say that, though I haven’t been responding much as I scurry off to paint my house happy colors, I do read through everyone’s posts. Thank you for the inspiration and sense of community. You 10-day challenge people are the best.

I haven't yet conquered my late-night snacking impulse. Aaack. I didn't do this for years, but have gotten back in the bad habit. I will try to get past this one night at a time. I'd knit in front of the tv but am sure my kitten would want to help! Maybe I can just sit on my hands. I'm thinking of giving intermittent fasting a try -- stop eating at 6 or so until breakfast. 09/11 191.6 (-3.0) ok wow! That's quite a woosh! Got back to my workout program yesterday and food was a little on the low side. I've been drinking a tonne of water (like 150 oz.?) But I feel dehydrated this am. Strange. I was feeling kind of bloaty and puffy this am so didn't expect the drop but I'm glad because I was starting to get nervous that this wasn't going to work for me. (I know CICO is science and thus works for everyone, but the time it takes to see the trend and the bouncing weight levels makes me think it's not working and then I get sloppy and then it really doesn't work. Lol)

A great day yesterday but I missed my longer evening walk waiting on customers (expected ETA was 5:00 PM) who arrived at 11:30 PM instead. I did get in a small walk around my property, not straying too far from the office lest they pull in. Yesterday’s stats: 1434 Calories In / 2810 Calories burned. 28 Net Carbs. 17,258 Total Steps & 7.3 total miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 2 hours & 48 minutes. I woke up wide awake & refreshed. However, I hope to get more sleep tonight as I do think this hurts my weight loss & metabolism. 0.4 lb loss is almost a ½ pound so I’ll take it. 09/10:209.8 Hardly drank any water yesterday and hardly drank any water today. I ate 2 snacks yesterday evening and even though I had the calories for the 2nd snack I wasn't hungry and I only ate it because I had the calories...need to work on that.
09/11:209.4 Was busy at work again and didn't drink as much water as I should have. Went out to lunch today and met with my strength coach.
09/12:208.5 Had a great workout yesterday, but the dog woke me up early this morning so sleep wasn't great. It was a busy week in court this week, so I left work early today. I'm going to take the dog on a short hike this afternoon as it looks like this will be the last sunny day for awhile.
09/13:208.7 Even though I had another night of horrible sleep, I still went to the gym at 6 this morning. Movie and dinner tonight, so I wanted to make sure I got my workout in this morning.
09/14:208.1 Went out to dinner last night and going out to a movie today. I'm kind of surprised about the drop in weight today because I thought there would be instant water retention from dinner last night, and the fact that I didn't drink much water yeseterday, but it could also show up on the scale tomorow. Goal is to get water in today.
09/15:209.2 Uptick is due to movie popcorn and lack of water. Strength coach today. It will be raining all day so plan is to watch football and do things around the house including finish putting up pictures over the fireplace.

After reaching a 75lb loss, personal and family stressors became way too exhausting back in June and I practically LEAPED off the wagon. Sad to say, but comfort food was my only solace w/ all my time and energy dedicated to everyone other than myself. After a summer of very little exercise and LOTS and lots of carb and sugar consumption for sanity's sake, I've regained 19 pounds ... all in my midsection, hips and thighs of course .... uggghhh.

Hi everyone. I am hoping to get back on track this round. The last 3 rounds have not been my best and I have just been maintaining around the same 5 pounds or so. My birthday and TOM will happen in this round so I am expecting pretty much the same results, but hopefully I can get my healthy/low calorie eating skills back on track. Not really looking to lose seeing as I will probably stall for 5-6 days and have 2 restaurant meals out for my bday. Thought about not posting at all this round, but then I really would go off the deep end and I don't want that to happen. So I am staying here, posting, and being accountable for my actions.

09/10 - 146.5 up a bit more than I expected this morning, but not mad about it. When I started this in July of 2018 at almost 180 pounds, one of my only goals was to be in a healthy BMI and to feel better about myself when I turned 40. I have 5 amazing kids (ages 20 to11 years old), a wonderful husband, and have so much to be thankful for in my life, but I did not like what I saw in the mirror a year ago. I have not reached my ultimate goal of 135 (which has been changed multiple times in the last couple of months), but am very happy with my progress so far. I have lost around 35 pounds and am currently working on my last 10. Maybe I will be there for my 41st birthday next year, lol. Thank you everybody who has supported me and helped me along the way with my good and bad days. Happy 40th bday to me!!!!

09/12 - 145.8 I figured plus we went out last night for dinner and our reservation was originally at 7:30, but did not get seated until 8:30. So late dinner plus 2 margaritas waiting to be seated and 2 beers with dinner. Officially done with my break and back on the wagon.
09/13 - 143.8 Had a good day yesterday and I am getting back on track. My TOM should be here any day so I am figuring I will stall, but as long as I can get back into the groove of things and then I can shake things up next round. A little over a month on my "diet break" and I am only a couple of pounds up from where I was so I am not mad at all.
09/14 - 143.2 I’ll take this. I’m hoping to have another pound or so of water weight. Hopefully I can stay on track today. The weekends are a killer for me.
09/15 - 144.8 stayed on track, but may have been a little more sodium than normal. Sunday’s are my hardest day of the week. Let’s see how it goes.

09/10: 204.2! Coming down again from my frustrating jump up at the end of last round. Hopefully releasing water weight. Trying to stick well to my food and exercise goals and trying to drink lots of water to reduce water retention. IDK if that's actually true or not, but I remember hearing somewhere that drinking more keeps you from holding on to water weight as much. Had a good day of work today, hoping to be more productive in that sphere as well. Was letting depression get the better of me the past couple weeks and my productivity definitely took a toll.
09/11: 205... Well, I just don't know why. Had almost no appetite so did not overeat yesterday at all and yet here we are with a bump. Nothing to do but push forward... Keep sticking to it and hope for some progress. I knew losing weight with PCOS is tough so I just need to be tougher.
09/12: 203.2! Idk why yesterday I was so high and today I'm so low, but a win is a win, so I'll take it! Going to ride the wave of progress today and get some good work done, exercise hard and stick to my food goals. I made a keto pizza last night with almond flour fathead dough and it was pretty decent. I hope its leftovers make a nice lunch
09/13: 203.2! Wahoo! Staying level! Got some intense exercise in and did a good job of sticking to my food goals. Didn't get a lot of work done, had to take a half day to get to spend some time w my partner before he leaves for 10 days this evening. We played pool so that's been fun to learn
09/14: 202.8! Omygosh! So happy 😊 went for a really long kayak and saw loads of otters and seals. My first time seeing otters, so amazing. Was hard to focus my camera on them with the strong winds blowing me away. Had a great time and ate very healthy before and after.
09/15: 202.2!! Wow! Did lots of chores. Trimmed my hedges and now my forearms are ready to explode. Eating healthy and trying to be productive with chores today

Hi. My name is Trina. I've been back on MFP for a little over a year now, am down 69 pounds and just 2 pounds from my revised goal weight! Closing in on those final pounds!! I skipped town at the end of Round 86 to head north, visit my mom and drop my middle son off at college. Mom travelled back with me on the slow dilly dally route. She was going to stay thru my surgery, but....surgery date finally got scheduled for 9/24. So she will fly back to Connecticut tomorrow, my husband will take a week off after my surgery (double mastectomy) and then my mom will come back for 3-4 weeks just before he goes back to work. I have been exercising and eating mindfully the last two rounds, but haven't been logging food. I should get back to that, but I was happy to see that I've been sticking right around 129-130 the past week. Good luck everyone!
