09/30 – 184.6 – Big post-weekend bounce, thanks to the yummy (and salty!) clam pizza my husband and I shared last night. I think I’m finally getting used to my body’s response to extra sodium, so I’m trying to take those temporary water gains in stride. To be honest, when DH suggested pizza, my first thought was about how the salt would affect Monday morning’s weigh-in. But I’m glad I said yes. We had a relaxing evening, and the water weight will be gone in a couple of days.
10/01 – 183.4 – Voila! Water gain from the pizza is gone, and I’m back to my Round 91 starting weight. Late meeting, but I didn’t want to do take-out again. Only managed a tiny walk (15 minutes) after work, but I made it home in time to roast a spaghetti squash and throw together a quick veggie chilli to top it. The leftovers will buy me some time for a longer walk later this week. Stayed under my calorie limit even with a LNS of a lemon bar and tea – “fuel” to help me power through tonight’s stack of student essays.
10/02 – 183.4 – Bonus beach day after my morning class – it was just too nice to sit inside grading journals. Walked for 2 ½ hours, most of it through the sand and surf. Met my daughter and her friend for (diet) root beer floats and still came in under my calorie limit. Banking the extra for the weekend.
10/03 – 183.0 – Glad to be moving down. Rain all day, so I caught up with grading instead of walking. Met my goal for logging and calories.
10/04 – 183.0 – Cool morning. Walked for an hour, then ran errands. Lunch out and a big gooey chocolate cookie after dinner put me a little over on calories, but I logged everything. I’ve got my grandsons coming tomorrow, so it will be a busy day. Turning in early so I’ll be well rested and ready for adventure!

9/30 - 154.5 - starting to settle into life with my oldest baby here. I’ve missed having time with her and she’s going through a stressful time, so we’re going to work it together. She has done keto in the past, and felt better, so I’m hoping she will do it with me now. Today we had a nice dinner out. Shared a plate at my FAVORITE Mexican place, and ate all the non-keto & enjoyed an “adult beverage”. Junk food is out now. We both have a lot to accomplish in the next 2 months before my lease ends!

09/30126.4 **I'm in maintenance?!** Is this real?! Yes, I now find myself here, having revised my original Ultimate Goal Weight upward from 123 because I feel (and look, I think?) good at around 127. My original UGW was based on what I could recall from before I gained weight, though I now recall that I was approaching a bit too skinny at 5'7" and 124. I'm very small boned, but my current weight feels comfortable, so I'm going with that. What now? Where's my diploma and graduation party? Ha.
Okay, the plan is to *continue* (1) Logging and weighing food (2) Monitoring calories and experimenting with a slightly higher range IF I gain consistently (3) Eating between 12-8 p.m. What got me to maintenance should keep me in maintenance, right? I will also *begin* (4) Gentle toning exercises. C'est tout!
10/01126.4 First, I'm proud to report that I started my toning yesterday by doing a few slooow squats every time I got up to go to the bathroom. Second, I realized that the insights gained over these months of highly introspective mini-journaling here in this group should be revisited in maintenance, or I risk losing them. So starting tomorrow, I'm going to start combing through my old rounds (all saved on my phone) for insights/still-relevant epiphanies. I know it'll help me stay focused, and hopefully, will help someone else. Reading everyone's posts sure helps me, anyway!
10/02 125 A retrospective from the end of my first round: (3/23/19, Round 71, at 155.4 lbs) "My final weigh-in for this round, and I'm down 2.4 from my starting weight! Yesterday I exercised but didn't eat super healthy other than a salad. However, I stayed within my calories and hit my macros better than usual, so the lesson for me is the "perfect" day doesn't exist, nor does it need to in order to make progress...For the first time in my life, I think I'm going to let patience and persistence win over impatience and defeat. This is going to happen slooowly, but it's going to happen!"
Take home: If you're struggling right now, remember that slow is okay! Patience is a HUGE part of getting where you want to go.
10/03 126.2 Not a retrospective, but a great idea from the Maintenance forum: pick up something of equal weight to the weight you've lost/want to lose! I lost 30 lbs-too much for me to pick up-so I had my husband put a bag of dog food in my lap. Seriously? I was carrying that around?! I already have mobility issues! Try it. So you've lost "only" 3 lbs? Grab a 3-lb weight or a few jars of spaghetti sauce or something and do a few laps around the kitchen until you really get sick of it. It's not nothin', right?
10/04 125 A retrospective comment: (3/24, Round 72, at 152.6 lbs) "I feel like tracking on MFP has revealed that holy grail of successful weight loss: moderation. I'm finally empowered to enjoy treats in moderation, guilt-free. Other big lessons so far: I must practice patience (this is all gonna go way more slowly than I'd like!), and I can't freak out when the numbers on the scale go up or plateau. It's all part of this nonlinear process." Take home: I can eat what I want! Caramel cheesecake? Sure, but just a thin sliver and *savor* it. And track everything!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 91 (round 23 for me ) I'm in for another round, not quite as much holiday weight lost last round as I'd like due to my own sabotage towards the end, I am always so annoyed at myself after a binge, don't know why I let food rule my life!
Onwards and upwards in a new round - Just 20 days to go before our cheeky pre-Brexit break on The Algarve, must get these extra pounds off for then ! I can if I stay strong !!

09/ 133.8 – yippee a good drop for the start of the round, only managed 1.88 miles yesterday due to the persistent rain, but stayed on plan (difficult on Sunday with roast dinner), but only 23 calories over and all other macros in green. See if I can lose another pound by the end of the challenge.

10/01 - day 1 - Oof, I forgot about the arm exercises. But did it! And it feels good to finally get back into the groove of things.
10/02 - day 2 - Woke up sore from yesterday, which I liked :-)
Ok, day two was nice, slightly easier than day one. And it seemed shorter as well.
10/03 - day 3 - yikes, only did half the session. Like my heart isn’t in it anymore... I feel like I get bored so easily these days. And I must say I had a long day as well, and did the session when my energy levels were low.
I will do my session in the morning tomorrow. No sad feelings :-)
10/04 - day 4 - yeah, no, it’s definitely boredom. I miss the weight training. I shall finish these 10 days just because, but then look to start Stronglift :-)
10/05 - day 5 - done. No issues. I’m really uplifted by all the progress everyone here writes about. I love this idea of focusing « only » on 10 days at a time. 09/30 - 19st 0.5lb (0.5lb loss) - A good day overall! Busy day at work so lots of walking, and was quite conservative with my calories. Will be repeating my couch to 5k run from Saturday tonight, determined to do it all (unless I get chased by another dog!)
10/01 - 19st 0.3lb (0.2lb loss) - Aaaaargh!! I mean, a loss is a loss but I am soooo close to the next stone barrier. And once I see 18st on my scale I NEVER want to see 19 again. Did my repeat c25k run last night and it was amazing. My fitness has improved so much since I started. I mean I need to keep at it, but five weeks ago I never would have believe I could run for eight minutes non-stop, twice. And I didn't get to that insensible stage of losing my breath either. 💪💪
10/02 - 18st 12.5lb (1.8lb loss) - Yesssssssssssss!!!! Fully anticipating a bounce back tomorrow but for today, I'm going to enjoy this victory!
10/03 - 18st 12lb (0.5lb loss) - So that uptick didn't come today, although I'm sure it's just around the corner. I hope I can stay under 19st when it comes though. I had a wonderful non-scale victory yesterday - I completed W5R3 of couch to 5k which is 5min walk, 20min run, 5min walk. Possibly the longest I've run in my life, 100% definitely the longest as an adult. I did it! And I felt great doing it! It was hard but not impossible. I am so proud of myself, and so impressed by the increase in my fitness in just five weeks. This success seemed utterly inconceivable then!
10/04 - 18st 11lb (-1lb) - Hooray! I am only ½lb away from a 3stone (42lb/19kg) total loss! I so hope I get there in the next few days, I know I'm due for a little bump up but I don't want one! 4lb loss for Round 91 so far so right on track for my goal. 🤞

09/30:203.4. I will be pretty strict for this week. Hoping to lose 10lbs in the next 3.5 weeks before vacation

My first round! Not sure what to expect.
Goals:
Reduce calorie intake to < 1500
Maintain my exercise plan - 3 x 90 minute swims, 2 x 3 mile outdoor walks, and 2 x 2 miles walk/jog treadmill
Keep the carbs as low as possible < 30 grams

10/01 - - cut the cream out of my coffee, came in at 1519 calories, 42 net carbs and got in a 90 minute swim
10/02 - 102.9 k
10/03 - 101.7 k (probably water loss but I will take it!) 1735 calories, 29 net carbs and walked 3 miles outdoors, felt super bloated at the end of the day but work up feeling good. Here is to another good day!
10/04 - 101.1 k 1315 calories, 17 net carbs and ran 1 mile followed by leg workout. So far so good!!!
10/05 - 100.9 k 1379 calories, 11 net carbs and 60 minutes swim. Made up for it with intensity this time! Felt it. The scale is moving in the right direction finally!!! That said - its lowering the calories and carbs that has made it happen. Keep telling myself it isn't magic!!!

09/30 190.2 (+2.4) man I'm bouncing all over the place! Still have this cold so maybe I'm retaining water? We will see what happens tomorrow.
10/01 189.8 (-0.4) yesterday was brutal. Sick still. Went to the metabolic clinic for my check in and apparently the 6lbs I've lost in these two weeks are solely water. Super disappointing since I felt like i was making progress. Guess I gotta double down.

10/03 187.6 (-1.2) the clinic results have me wondering if I'm just losing water still. I don't see how it's possible since I was fairly low carb to begin with. I'm down a total of 10.5 lbs since Aug 12 or 7.5 weeks. Yesterday I didn't eat much. A stuffed pepper, an inch of pepperoni, a chicken stir fry (no rice) and a protein shake. I wasn't hungry and I had a lot of energy so maybe it's ok?

09/30 -191.9- I used to panic if I had an uptick in weight. I wanted a fast solution and I took even a small fluctuation as a failure on my part which then led to failure on my part. Now I know fluctuations are normal and I am doing well if I trend downward over time. Stick to the program and it will work!
10/01 -191.6- I went walking yesterday and it is so hot here in KY, still in the 90's. Come on fall temps!

10/03 -190.1- My back and legs hurt after walking last night. I swear I think it is the hot temps that are to blame. Thankfully, the weather is about to turn fall-ish around here!

Round 90 was the worst of the the last few rounds. I’m going to keep joining though and keep trying. I need to get my diet under control and start doing some form of exercise again. I think I need to update my excel sheet and start tracking my numbers again that was motivating me to see the trends going down.

09/30 290.2 I wasn’t expecting that big of a drop today.
10/01 290.6 I expected a little bounce when I had chicken soup for lunch. I’m sure that it will be gone in a day or two and will hopefully take my cold with it.
10/02 289.8 I’m still fighting my cold but I’m managing to stay on track. This is the lowest that I’ve weighed in nearly 16 years. I was about this weight when I met my husband and a little higher than this when I got pregnant with my middle child.
10/03 288.8 I had a lot of energy yesterday, but my appetite was low. I got my new exercise bike yesterday and used it right away. I only did 20 minutes because I didn’t want to over push myself. My plan is to do 30 minutes a day.
10/04 289.0 I’m feeling dehydrated this morning. I don’t think I drank enough for how active I was yesterday. I’m a little sore and still fighting the last of my cold so I think I’ll take a rest day today.

Did really well in the last round. Hoping to finally hit a new decade this round. I am so close to my ultimate goal, but it seems so far away at the same time. I have to be so careful with everything to be able to lose at this point, so I am going to work really hard. My goal is to hit 139 at least a couple of times this round and continue to bring my 10 day avg down at least another pound.

9/30 - 145.9 not off to a great start. We drank a lot yesterday and did a lot of snacking on foods that I normally wouldn't eat. Tons of carbs/sodium and beer were consumed all day. Tailgating and watching the Cowboys game with the hubby made for a great Sunday though. Now to get back on track and get somewhere this round. I am getting to old to party like we used to, I feel terrible today and I am just hoping to get my water in. I have a feeling it will an early night for me.
10/1 - 146.5 I have no idea what's going on. I had a medication change that started Saturday, so maybe I am holding onto some water or something or maybe this is the rest of my Sunday's bounce. I know I did splurge a little to much, but geez, I don't think 5.6 pounds worth by any means. I better not see it go up again tomorrow, it will eventually drop, I just have to be patient.
10/2 - 143.9 water weight is my enemy! Hopefully I will be back down tomorrow all the way. Was on track all day yesterday accept I did have a flour tortilla with dinner. Other than that excellent day and so far on track today.
10/3 - 143.2 I think I would have been lower, but had to eat on the run last night for dinner. Hubby and kids wanted pizza which I can usually get away with. Of course the pizza restaurant we chose did not serve salads (even pizza hut has a salad), I was shocked. So I went with 1 slice of veggie pizza and a couple of chicken wings. I thought for sure that would be fine. Usually if we order from our local place I can eat a salad and a couple of bone in wings and be well under my allotted dinner calories. I ended up 200 calories over, 40 fat g over, and 2000 mg of sodium over. I don't know what this place does to it's wings, but I would have been better off eating a couple slices of pizza. I was shocked when I went home and logged my dinner. So water and clean eating is on the menu today.
10/4 - 142.0 Feeling extremely bloated and uncomfortable all day. My stomach still isn't 100% cooperating with the new meds, so hopefully bu next week I will be better. I am exactly where I was last Friday. I am still fighting to get into the 130's, but I think it's going to take longer than I thought.
10/5 - 141.5 I’m good with this. Almost back down to my lowest last week. I just need to keep working and doing what I need to do.

09/30: 235.2 - I ate way too much Chinese food yesterday. I got my workout in today and am trying not to munch on everything. Not a bad Monday.
10/01: 235.6 - bloated and gross feeling. Haven't eaten the best in the last few days.
10/02: 236 - not been eating the greatest but trying to stay within calories. Hormones and bad food choices = water weight.
10/03: 234.6 - I didn't work out yesterday and over ate. At least the scale is lower than yesterday. I need to get back on the ball. I'll try to do better today.

09/30, 141.5, bought nutritious food, planning my meals so I don't get hungry and overeat. Threw out the wine, and am drinking fruit water instead.
10/01, 141.5, stayed within calorie limit, no booze. Ate that healthy food, and gawd was is boring. But it's just 10 days.
10/02 140.5, didn't overeat, and didn't drink. I struggled today, it was a long work day, then train was late, and it took so long to get home. I was exhausted, and just wanted a glass of wine and some easy takeout. A hard day has always been the perfect excuse. But I didn't want to give in after just three days, so I made chicken, kale salad and brown rice, yogurt for dessert. I'm glad I stuck it out. Now I'm taking some Tylenol and going to bed.
10/03, 140.2, ate a lot a scraps today, a little this a little that, so lost count of calories, but don't feel like I went overboard. I realize this is a process of learning to change habits.
10/04, 140.2, I've shifted my diet to more vegetables, which is keeping me full, and I'm stretching my morning walks out a bit longer every day. So glad I stopped gaining weight.
10/05, 139.6, so relieved to have made it below the 140's. If I can just keep it there for the rest of this challenge. I'll be happy.

30: 222.0 I expected a gain this morning, maybe not quite so much though. I went to a fundraising meat raffle at a local bar and grill. Drank some red wine. I opted to cheat ordering deep fried pickles. Figured chicken wings would be a decent choice considered the menu options, but they had breading on them (usually bone-in wings don't around here). It all added up, but I had a lot of fun. I am glad that I don't frequent places that have an entire menu of unhealthy foods though. I'm also glad this is at the beginning of the round rather than the end.

Walking today may be an uncomfortable outside walk because it is so hard for me to leave the cabins on Fridays. Especially during a peak season & hunting season is now in full swing. 10/1: 223.6 (-0.6)/18.9 (-0.1). Spent the day at Magic Mountain with my 78-year-old dad. The guy LOVES roller coasters. I was feeling a bit nauseous by the end of the day, partially because I'm still recovering from illness the week before. Still, super-fun day; I walked a ton, and I am pretty sure I was under on calories when considering exercise.
10/2: 224.6 (+1.0)/19.0 (+0.1). My eating has been a bit squirrely the past couple of days. I probably ate twice as much as I "should" have last night, including some dessert. There's been no huge harm done at this point, so I'm going to focus on limiting the duration/intensity of this little "lapse" (meaning, cutting that $#!+ down in its tracks, RIGHT NOW). I am going to the gym tonight to lift weights and do some cardio.

9/30 - 154.5 - starting to settle into life with my oldest baby here. I’ve missed having time with her and she’s going through a stressful time, so we’re going to work it together. She has done keto in the past, and felt better, so I’m hoping she will do it with me now. Today we had a nice dinner out. Shared a plate at my FAVORITE Mexican place, and ate all the non-keto & enjoyed an “adult beverage”. Junk food is out now. We both have a lot to accomplish in the next 2 months before my lease ends!
