10/20: DNW- Did too much today and just didn't really weigh in.
10/21:206- I let a little loose yesterday. Went to Disneyland and walked a lot. Didn't have as much water and ended up having sushi for dinner with my cousin. I hope I can get through this week with at least some progress.
10/22: DNW- Spent the night at my boyfriends since he finally got a day off. Kept dinner simple and I thought we would make it in the gym together last night, but think we were both out of it. I'm feeling a lot better today, especially after he told me he can tell I've slimmed down a little. Honestly, hearing that made me so happy! I'm meal prepping when I get home today and will be pushing myself to get back in the habit of the gym tonight.
I'm a little nervous not knowing my weight for today, but hoping it hasn't gone up.
10/23: 207.2- Ugh this is no good! I had a feeling I went up, but didn't think it was by that much Plus gym didn't happen last night. Not sure what's wrong with me, but I cannot keep my eyes open and just need sleep. I need a break, all this running around, driving everywhere, doing things is draining me! It shouldn't be an excuse though, I need to start getting serious. Ate kinda bad last night, not gonna lie. Need to finish meal prepping and start logging my meals again.
10/24: 207- Baby steps. Yesterday was bad! I had the worst migraine and am so thankful for Advil. My wisdom teeth pain I think is the main reason for the migraines and it's starting up again now. I'm just too scared to get them removed, and with work I don't think I'm able to take the time off. Last night I couldn't do anything. I felt like a mess and just want my energy back. I keep sleeping funky too; knocking out with the lights on, double pillows giving me neck strain, etc. I really am taking baby steps in the right direction though. Don't want to push myself too hard and get sick. This sucks but I'm trying.
10/25:206-Woohoo! I'm so proud of myself for being on top of my stuff yesterday. Andddddd I pushed myself to go to the gym last night I popped an Advil, got my healthy food shopping done, and went to the gym. I did 30 mins cardio and some strength for my arms, didn't want to push more than that. Stayed under 100 net carbs and had 51oz water (baby steps) I feel so cruddy this morning, with the migraine not going away STILL and for some reason I'm running to the bathroom all morning.
ALSO I bought my bf the same scale I have because his needs to go in the trash and never see the light of day again. Hope everyone's Friday is going well

For extra exercise I raked and hauled leaves and pine needles for 64 minutes and I took a 3.5 miles walk inside the school during the rainy drizzle yesterday evening for 76 minutes walking 3.0 mph. Total extra calorie burn 800.
10/24 …..188.4 ….. A normal fluctuation on the scale. Very sore from the last 2 days of yard work. I can barely bend over and there is still so much to do before the predicted snow by Tues/Wed. Ugg. It could at least wait until the leaves are off the trees! Yesterday’s stats: 1168 Calories In / 3113 Calories Out. 39 Net Carbs including a new recipe of stuffed peppers using cauliflower rice. 25,318 Total Steps & 10.71 total miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 7 minutes and woke up feeling lazy, sore and tired. I did yard work for 62 minutes, took a walk inside the school for 96 minutes at 3.0 mph, took a neighborhood walk for 34 minutes at 2.5 mph and I did misc. cardio exercises for 39 minutes. Total extra calorie burn 1226. No wonder I am in pain!

Yesterday’s stats: 1402 Calories In / 3201 Calories Out. 34 Net Carbs including Spaghetti Squash. 27,306 Total Steps & 11.55 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours (missed the morning ones doing paperwork). I slept 5 hours & 31 minutes. I walked for 128 minutes at 3.0 mph inside the school where I was making a “presence” to support the “pink out” game for breast cancer awareness in my community. I did yard work in the afternoon with more raking & hauling for 137 minutes. Last night after closing out my mfp I did 21 minutes of low-impact aerobics. Total extra calorie burn 1578. I’m hoping to continue with the yard work today. My property is large.

10/20: 222.8 (+1.0)/18.8 (+0.1). I went to my niece's birthday party last night, and FOR ME I was okay. I had some drinks, I ate a little more than I wanted to (late night grazing), but I was generally okay. If I can get through this weekend with a pound or less gain, it would be a success. I'll be going to the gym today, and we're going back for leftovers this afternoon. I will keep things under control when I'm there. And I'm going to push myself at the gym.
10/21: 221.8 (-1.0)/18.7 (-0.1). I worked my plan to perfection yesterday. I went to the gym in the morning with my wife, ate a very light lunch, then went to the in-laws to have leftovers from Saturday's party. I stayed in control for the most part, plus I avoided both alcohol and dessert while I was there. Dinner was also very light last night. This is the first time in recent memory that I ended a weekend at the same weight I started the weekend at.
10/22: 221.2 (-0.6)/18.6 (-0.1). At this point any lower number is the lowest weight I've seen in quite a while. I'm going to try not to get too excited when I see them, but it really has been a struggle to get "here." Lots of ups and downs. Maybe I'll celebrate a little (in my head), while continuing to do everything I've been doing (eating better, hitting the gym 3x/wk, playing basketball when I feel healthy enough to do so). My wife put her arms around my "belly" yesterday and told me she notices that it's smaller. I'm continuing to notice positive changes when I look in the mirror. Gym tonight, then I watch the Laker game (first game of the season!).
10/23: 219.6 (-1.6)/18.5 (-0.1). WHOOSH™!!! The last time I went under 220 (after being above), I took a picture and posted it on Facebook. This was a barrier to me before, and it's acted like a barrier to me during my time back in this challenge as well. It's always hard for me to remember that it really takes a while for things to "come together" in this fitness/healthy lifestyle thing. I still find myself getting upset/happy on a day-to-day basis more than I would like to. Don't get me wrong; paying attention to the day-to-day is VITALLY important. But today I can step back a little bit, get a more broad perspective, and say with confidence that THIS IS WORKING. I can say that because: 1) my weight is dropping, 2) my clothes are fitting better, 3) I'm getting stronger at the gym, 4) I can see my muscles again (they're growing), and (5) I am visually noticing some of the other changes in my body (shape). The horribly frustrating part of this is that my "gut" is the last thing to go. While it's definitely gotten smaller, it's still prominent, and likely will remain that way until I get closer to 210 or 205. I'm going to keep doing this the right way; when I do, I KNOW that it works. Sunday night is going to be a night out with drinking. I'm trying to get myself in a good place BEFORE this happens (understanding that I'm not likely to like my weigh-in the next day). Sorry about the long post!
10/24: 219.4 (-0.2)/18.4 (-0.1). Dinner last night was a splurge, but I was still under in my calories. Which brings me to my next subject - time to take this to the next level. I've got my workout routine pretty much down. Basketball is in my life. I'm "taking care" of myself in some important ways. It's time for me to start cutting out some of the unnecessary carbs: bread (especially in sandwiches, which is something of a weakness for me), tortillas, rice, and all sweets (except maybe dark chocolate occasionally and certain berries). I've also done really well in the past when I've cut soda completely out of my life, but I'll hold on to that for the moment. I need to do some shopping to prepare for this properly, but I am going to give it a go starting Monday.
10/25: 219.4 (0.0/18.4 (0.0). I went to the gym last night, but I wasn't feeling quite as energetic as I have been. I had a moderately heavy dinner (quality-wise), but I did okay with portions. Even before my weigh-in I noticed that my energy is a little bit down today. Again, it probably started last night. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's probably related to "having visitors" this weekend. That means I have to clean everything, because I basically married my mother in this respect (no one can know that we don't live in a house that is perfectly clean, all the time). I get it, I just don't like it. Hmm. I also went yesterday to see a mental health professional for the first time in more than ten years. Anyhoo... basketball is tomorrow, and I think my foot has healed enough for me to play. I'm going to keep plugging along!

Still no kitchen - old one gone, new one being delivered Tuesday but then husband still has to fit it so will be a while still.... Last round without a kitchen went well so hoping to continue as I left off. no kitchen has made me very planned and very focused just buying what we need when we need it.... Lesson to be learned here I think!

10/22 - 133.9lb (-0.6lb) YAY!!! Back in the 133's (in the UK this is 9.5 stone so for me a big milestone!) Just got here before my holidays in August and had a mini target to get back here by my grandsons birthday party on 2nd November so made it with time to spare. My next mini milestone (apart from making sure the weight stays off of course) will be to get under 130 by end of November (end of JGM10 Round 96) Feeling positive today (new kitchen being delivered today too!) So we are eating out tonight - have allowed for it in my calories for the day - but usual eating out issue of salt and carbs (Pizza Express night at the girls request) means the scale may be up a bit tomorrow - but that's OK.

10/20--207.6 I have been having digesitive problems over the last couple of days, but I'm starting to feel a little better. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't feeling well and then I realized I had been snacking on some crackers that contained an ingredient that I am sensitive to. Ugh!
10/21--207.4 Strength coach yesterday. It's expected to rain most of today, but hubby and I are still planning on going out for a trail walk with the dog. Hopefully, there will be a break in the weather when I get home.
10/22--207.6 Went out for my c25k run today. There was a pizza lunch today at work, but I decided ahead of time to bring and eat my own lunch, so that I wouldn't be tempted to eat any of the pizza.
10/23--207.2 Went to strength coach today--tough workout. Digestion is getting better.
10/24--207.4 Great workout yesterday. It's supposed to be a sunny and crisp day, so my plan is to go out to run W2D3 of C25K tonight.

10/24- 72.9kgs. alright I had a very bad day yesterday. What went wrong ? Firstly I was out and did not have the discipline to stop myself from buying too much from maccas. I mean, I did choose a healthier option (chicken wrap) than normal but I didn’t have to eat those chicken nuggets. Secondly my mum keeps giving me food even though I haven’t finished yesterday’s food so here I am scoffing all the food just so it doesn’t become old. I really need to either stop doing that to myself or ask mum not to cook me anymore food if I want to lose weight. Previously for me to lose weight, I have always stopped Eating her food because I have no control how much I eat her food (it’s too good!). And she have no sense of portions (I’ll ask for one serving and she’ll give me three)!
10/25- 72.5kg. The numbers going down...but why am I doing this to myself ?? I’ll be good all day then come dinner time, I’ll stuff myself with junk. Last night was pizza and lasagne.

10/20 - 143.9 up 2.4 pounds overnight. That is what 3 meals at restaurants in 1 day looks like on me. Didn't eat bad, but the sodium destroys me every time. Oh well, I had an amazing day on our day trip driving around and looking at the leaves changing colors with my hubby yesterday. Well worth the couple of extra water weight pounds.
10/21 - 144.6 Yikes! I don't think I deserve this, but ok. Cleaned house, did laundry, and meal prepped all day. So maybe I am just dehydrated or something. We will see tomorrow. Have my meals planned today and drinking my water.
10/22 - 144.6 Decided I needed to do something different, because I am just stuck. I can not lose these last couple of pounds so I worked out for the first time yesterday in years. I literally hurt everywhere and cannot sit down without cringing my legs hurt so bad. So I'm thinking that is why there is no change in my weight today. I will do my workout I had planned today, but I will not be doing it with a smile. This is my plan for the next 30 days to see if I can jump start my weight loss again. If not I am out of options and I may just decide the last 5 pounds is just not worth it. So 1/30 down, only 29/30 to go!
10/23 - 143.9 Still crazy sore. Did not do my exercises that I had planned. My legs just hurt to bad. Hopefully today I will get something in. but I am still not 100%. Meals planned today, but going out to dinner tonight for my son's 20th bday. Already looked at the menu and I know what I am going to order. Was under calories Monday and Tuesday, so still fighting the good fight.
10/24 - 144.6 great dinner out and almost at calorie limit. Over just a tad, but did have a bloody mary and a beer. Your first born only turns 20 once, so no regrets. I will eventually get back down.
10/25 - 143.9 Of course I am back here. Can not seem to get anywhere this round. Have only had alcohol one time in the last 5 days and have been under calories 4 out of the last 5 days. Some how I am still higher everyday this week than I was last week. Who knows what is going on? I am skipping happy hour with friends tonight, because I do not want to drink and I know if I go out I will. One Friday isn't going to kill me and I am exhausted. I think it's a movie on the couch kind of night. I have chicken tacos in the crock pot for dinner and will do mine over lettuce instead of doing tortillas. So should be on track the rest of the day and finish strong.

Starting challenge late and have gained a bit since the 17th, the last day I weighed in. Had some depressed days and didn't make good food choices or go to the gym at all but I'm back at it now! Hoping to lose 2.8lbs in the time I've got left in this challenge, just to get a bit lower than my lowest in round 92 when I was still on track. And 88's a nice even number to stop on kinda lol I find multiples of 11 pleasing too. But the main thing is starting over, and getting back into a healthy routine again, numbers aside.

Ate waaay over my goals on the 23rd and the 24th. Like 2500-2750 cals! I'm surprised I only gained one pound. It's looking like I won't beat my record low from last round seeing as I only have 4 days left. But once again, starting over, going to try my best to not binge on junk, stick to my goals and go to the gym nearly everyday again. About to head to the gym now and my eating today is so far so good. Can't change my mistakes but I can make these next few days really count and reach my final goal in round 94 still. Hi. My name is Trina. I missed the last couple of rouds and I missed you all!
I had a double mastectomy for Invasive Lobular Carcinoma on 9/24. Happy to say that I am back at pre-surgery weight, and back up to regular walks. Unfortunately I can't do much else, since I can't bounce, lift my elbows above my shoulders or lift more than 5 pounds. Unfortunately the cancer was fairly large. I was told no chemo, and possible radiation, but due to the size I will get to do both chemo and radiation. Hopefully that doesn't lead to No-hair-vember!

I love to bake, but it's always been the gateway to losing control, because I prefer my own baked goods to anything store-bought, and I tend to eat a *lot* of dough along the way. Round 92 was an interesting round.I bounced about quite a bit, what with a meal out, and then a subconscious relaxing because I hit my annual target. REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.

10/20 – 183.4 – Back where I was on 10/1, but I’m not really surprised as I haven’t been putting in as much effort as I should.
10/21 – 183.0 – Gorgeous day, so I opted for a longer 70 min. walk rather than a household chore before class. Got a bit of grading done and caught up on student email before heading to my daughter’s for a delicious dinner cooked by my grandson. Came in under my calorie allowance even with the pumpkin cake I ate for breakfast!
10/22 – 182.6 – Rainy day, so no walk. Did a few small chores instead, but didn’t get as much done as I’d like. These chilly grey days just seem to sap my motivation. Met my calorie goal though and even got a little grading done. Forecast for tomorrow is better, so I should be able to get out and walk.
10/23 – 182.4 – Long busy day, but I got my walk in and stayed under my calorie limit. Did some laundry and took care of some of my “to do’s” on campus. Too tired to focus on grading but I’ll be up early to get some of it done before class.
10/24 – 182.4 – Up early to finish the grades before the first day of midsemester conferences. I wound up taking a two-hour nap when I got home, but the day was so lovely that I tied on my sneakers and took my pup for a walk in the park. With the sun low in the sky behind me, I mused on my long slender shadow – maybe a hint of a future me? 😉 Met my logging and calorie goals again, but chores will have to wait for tomorrow.
10/25 – 181.6 – Slept in a little this morning and woke up with a headache. I’m guessing it’s the dry air and the dust now that we’ve switched the heating on. Skipped the walk and picked my mom up to do some shopping. Big dinner, dessert, and a really nice Bordeaux wiped out my deficit today, but I logged it all and will try to get back on track tomorrow.

I'm so discouraged; after 6 months of weight loss I hit a plateau and now I'm gaining again. Binge eating came back tonight (see: over by 1600cal!). I think I'm panicking because I'm about to lose my OT who has helped me through my weight-loss journey, and I'm self-sabotaging because I don't believe I can continue being healthy without weekly therapy.13 -

Oct 26- 149.2 Well at least I’m trending down. In my head I knew my loss would slow dramatically the closer I got to my goal but I had thought it would be the last 10-15 not the last 25-30. It’s taken some time to adjust my mindset. Focusing on how far I’ve come is as important as where I’m going. Adding on goals to be faster, stronger more flexible not just scale numbers.11 -

10/21 -186- Vacation is over but my husband will be off for several more days starting Wednesday. I made it through pretty good. We ate at some places that had poor food choices but I just chose the best I could and didn't stress too much about it. I lost 1.9lbs and 2lbs was my goal so I am happy with that!

This is my 3rd round. First one went very well. The second one I was away from my scale and stopped using the diary the last two days. I am back for my third one with some simple goals: 1) Weigh and 2) Use the Diary Daily 3) Sticking with 2000 cal / < 20 carbs and my workout plan.

10/21 - 100.7 k - 1865 c / 4 net carbs (!!!) / no exercise beyond running around with my kids at a swim meet.
10/22 - 101.1 k - Good grief! The scale is moving the wrong direction. 1865 c / 19 net carbs / no exercise. Maybe no exercise is part of the issue. That and my husband's amazing grilled pork ribs... My action plan - fast 16/8 for the next few days and get back to the pool.
10/23 - 100.7 k - 1747 c / 22 net carbs / no exercise. A little bump in the road. It has been harder to get in the workouts the past few days. But I have a good workout planned today. Swimming in a meet this weekend for the first time in 30 years! So I have taken a few days to rest and know that Friday will be another good workout with an adrenaline filled weekend.
10/24 - 100.4 k - too few calories - 948 c / 15 net carbs / great 90 minute swim. I just wasn't hungry. Nerves? Still, happy with the scale. I think fasting 16/8 has helped quite a bit.
10/25 - 99.9 k - Yeah! Made my goal from round 92... I am still hoping to his 99 k by Tuesday.
10/26 - DNW - 1735 k / 30 c / swim 60 minutes I didn't get on the scale yetserday. I was so happy to have come in under 100 k I don't think I could have handled a bump! I am sure I will go up and down as per my usual pattern and this is ok. I am away for the weekend as well. But back on the scale Monday for sure.
