Or how about the old “please send prayers! Something terrible has happened” but don’t ask me questions and I’m not giving any details yet I need to post that cliffhanger.

“Y’all silent prayers needed but please respect my privacy and don’t ask me about it”🙄🙄🙄.. I cringe every time.. lol

True.. but why be cryptic in the first place? I hate when people fish for *kitten*... annoys the *kitten* out of me!

I think people who update and inform social media all day long about every minute of their day and every aspect of their life tend to scream “I’m insecure!!!”. It’s just the impression I get when I see people who do that.

I see this a lot of Facebook. And sometimes I think maybe social media is the only social life they have and it kinda makes me sad. Or maybe they don't have jobs so they're bored and it's the only way they have to interact with others besides their cats and lizards. 🤷‍♀️

Hey now, just because I talk to my cats and non-existent lizards doesn't mean I don't have a life.

P.S. Not everyone who is unemployed sits around posting to FB and social media all day.

Tbh, this afternoon I pulled into my driveway, got out of my car, and proceeded to have a five minute conversation with my cat who was sitting in the open upstairs window. We just meowed back and forth. I started it and she kept answering me.

Hey, they know. You may not think they know or care, but I insist that cats can and do care about their "humans".

They definitely do. My previous cat was very protective of me - he growled at anyone who came near me, including my ex 😂 but with me he was just the most darling little lovebug

I have to go with the overuse of filters. (And I don't say that to judge anybody who does use a filter or when we have fun using the silly filters) I just feel like I'm looking at a picture of a person who isn't comfortable in her own skin and it makes me sad. And then below it to read all the comments from guys "wow, you look great" which just reinforces the use of blurry glamour filters. It kind of makes me want to punch somebody.

I have mixed feelings about it. I understand the desire to hide wrinkles, uneven skin tone, dark circles. I wear makeup. I get it.

And the men gushing. Are they being nice? Trying to ingratiate themselves? Fooled? Are they disappointed if they meet in person?

Bam. Thank you. I post in our dedicated (now) thread to filter use, but yes.. it is disheartening to see what you are describing in the regular selfie thread. Personal opinion, of course.

When a person is uncomfortable looking you in the eye when they speak.. sometimes they are just shy or might even be telling a lie but sometimes to me it feels like there is something about their face they are insecure about.

I once dated a girl with a lazy eye.

    It was great.

She could look me in the eye and describe the house at the end of the street at the same time.

I agree with this for the most part.

But, sometimes I have trouble making prolonged eye contact sometimes but not always because I feel insecure. Sometimes, a look can transfer energy that’s very intense, and I’m sensitive to that......that’s all.

Not sure if that makes sense to anyone.
