Help out an old lady reach a top shelf at the Grocery?
Leave it alone.
Donate 3 million dollars for medical equipment in a Children's Hospital?
Go ahead, put your name on the building.

If you do acquire them through quest or somehow defeating me, they are +20 to wind attack, but lower fire resistance a bit2 -

We've reached an agreement of sorts.1 -
CanesGalactica wrote: »Okay, dumb kid story time:
Once upon a time, I was extremely insecure and liked to blend into the background as much as possible. I was an overweight, unattractive teenager compared to my peers, couldn't wear makeup and hung out in baggy clothes. That is what I became known for (depressed art kid aesthetic sans makeup).
When I transitioned to college, I decided to throw it all out the window and start fresh since no one at my school knew me as I had moved states to attend. I started dressing like the photo below. Still never embraced makeup (unless glitter counts as makeup), but was very "out there" compared to the average college kid (at the time).
Point is, did I get stared at and a bunch of rude/mean comments? Yep. Did I get people approaching me, talking to me about what I wore and being amazed that I could wear it as "regular" clothing? Also, yep. I wore the clothes like someone would wear makeup. It was my makeup, more or less, only outlandish. But it got people talking, for good or ill. And it taught me that what I was wearing as a security blanket of sorts others thought I was wearing because I was secure in my self-image and just didn't care. And honestly? It did become that way by the end of my four years, but it didn't start out that way.
What was nice was that it gave people permission, more or less, to approach me, to start a conversation with and engage with me (even if it started off with bad intentions). And in the end? We learned more about one another. I learned more about perception in those four years than I had before.. or since. So many things that you admire might come from a place of insecurity.. and so many things you see as insecurities may not be at all. You really just can't know.
What's really amusing to me is when you see "your style" become more mainstream. People wearing cat ear headbands like it's totally normal.. meanwhile, I'd been doing it for ages. Things that were seen as weird or unsavory are no longer seen that way (think about tattoos and some body piercings). They're becoming commonplace.
It's just an interesting bit of observation.
Sorry, story time over!
I love this story.

Saw this topic on another forum, and the answers were fascinating.
Thoughts?
From when I'd noticed this discussion on the board, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to broach this subject, only since last Friday <enter> Colourism = insecurity; A term of reference I'd not realised existed until I felt inclined to investigate what it means when someone assumes to invalidate someone's identity (eg unblack), in a conversation.

I am insecure and I will hold my hands up, probably everything i do "screams insecurity".
From a very early age I was told I was the fat ugly one who wouldn't do anything with my life. I got married and was told I was fat and ugly and no one would want me if I left my husband. So yes insecurities was instilled in me practically all my life. I realised my EX husband was the insecure one that's why he turned that around on to me so I wouldn't leave him.
I realised I am me, I am a good person whatever I look like.
Fat....I can lose weight
Ugly....simple don't look at my face
I wouldn't do anything with my life....I have got 4 beautiful children, who are 26, 20, 19 and 3 who I am very proud of that I raised to be respectful, good, honest people.
I know insecure people and I believe these insecurities are a product of people other people whether family, partners, co-workers, being bullied at school and no one has the right to make anyone feel less than what they would like to be treated themselves. I find people demand respect but give no respect to others and it is a two way street.
We shouldn't beat someone down for being insecure, we should encourage people to be proud of who they are and their achievements however big or small. I believe everyone has insecurities in one way or another maybe it is showing them or admitting that we have them is the real problem.
We live in a society where females whatever age should look a certain way and if we don't we get punished by being slated for then trying to look that way in whatever means we can, life is hard without these added socially acceptable pressures.
These are just my opinions based on my own experiences and other people I know.
