    You: hi!

    Me: hello!

    You: how are you?

    Me: fine, you?

    You: good, thanks.

    silence

    You: How was your day?

Me: Oh you know, same ol, same ol. Thanks for asking. Yours?

You: it was good. Did some stuff.

    Me: oh good.

    silence

Me: so, I’ll talk to you soon.

You: yeah, good. Let’s keep in touch.

Perspective!🤔 I have this exact conversation on my phone right now..
I have it virtually and irl Every. *kitten*. Day. If I try to interject some odd tidbit of real conversation the party of the first part cannot relate.

Yep- same!! Makes me question why I hold onto such shallow relationships? I think next conversation with them I’ll just screenshot the one before- cause it’s literally going to be identical! I like your thought process- next time I’m going to throw in the most random thing to say- it’ll either make the convo better or finally end it all together!!🤣

Or when you give some real conversation, they respond in a short exchange with mere disinterest.

Ugh.. yep, that’s my favorite! I can definitely be a “wordy” talker so I don’t expect to be matched word for word. However, if I write a paragraph & only get back a word or two then it tells me all I need to know about the value that person places on our relationship! ( 🎶 Thank you next... 🎶 )

Heh, just reading this post exhausts me and reinforces my retirement plan of just walking into the woods with a splitting axe and a book

Hmmm.. the temptation to just say nothing and look weird or talk about the first random thing that comes into my brain and sound weird...or to just follow the usual small talk format...and still look weird.

Accidently opened my anniversary present. Not completely opened, but enough to realize it wasn't something I had ordered. He usually never buys anything on Amazon, so when he does he's supposed to give me a heads up I so I don't accidently open it.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's one of two things I had on my wishlist, but not sure which ones and I won't peek at my list.
We're supposed to go to universal studios Hollywood on Halloween, but I'm concerned with all the fires and air quality.
Hope the families over there are ok.

Adorable @gift. My mum's friend lives in that area. His asthma has returned from the poor air quality he thinks. The air quality is about normal there for this time of year, I suppose.

You should. I'm still working on Billy Bob Thornton is the brother to Timothy Olyphant.

I tried saying that Gordon Lightfoot was related to Brian Cranston and Chris Pratt.

Just sitting and thinking , that when life knocks us down , it feels like the entire universe is putting all the force together to knock down real hard but reminding myself it's life and we don't give up ever

That's the attitude. I'd decided a long time ago to always have a chaser ... A little safety net. Grounds me ... Heals me ... A quick recovery pick me up.

Nah-uh ... She's blessed with great genes and obviously leads a disciplined life. I'd wager Salma Hayek would look gorgeous sans the fame or the billionaire husband.
