Round 96 - – November 19 –28
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 164.4, GW – 163 something, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)
Last few rounds I’ve been ever so gradually creeping up. I think I have turned that around though. Have a concert the beginning of Dec. and have to fit into my choir outfit (which I wore in spring though not very comfortably). Could buy something new but it has to be all black which I never wear otherwise and this is my last year before moving away. So, motivation to be less laid back about losing.

Last day of this round is Thanksgiving morning. Looking to get back into the 130's and see 138.xx before Thanksgiving, maybe!
11/19 - 142.0
11/20 - 142.0 Sorry I haven't been around. My life took a crazy turn last Friday and I am barely getting it together today. I finished out the last round yesterday and just barely caught up on every bodies progress in round 95 today. I did weigh everyday just never could get time to post. My 18 year old son totaled his car on the freeway on Friday. 2 cars hit him and neither one of them stopped. He is fine, not even a scratch on him, so that is the most important thing. We are now looking for a new car for him and trying to get the insurance and everything settled. On top of all that I woke up Sunday with a lot of pain going down the right side of my body and ended up in urgent care. I had that same rash back now for the 3rd time this year. The first time in April my Dr told me it was a spider bite, the 2nd time in July she told me it was a staph infection, this weekend I was told it was shingles. So for almost a year I have been dealing with this stuff coming and going and it has been shingles the whole time. I had to start the anti-viral meds today and hopefully this will be the end of it. So my weight is up about 2 pounds from last Friday, but I think it's due to stress, being sick, and new meds. Hopefully it will be back down in the next couple of days. Uggghh, I feel better now that I have ranted a little bit, lol.
11/21 - 140.6 at least it is down a little bit. Medicine is making me super sick and have no appetite at all. Hoping I feel better tomorrow and can get back on track. Trying to catch up on this round now, but am still behind!

@CamandJarvis, @Quiltingjaine, @musicsax Thank you. I am indeed grateful that my daughter was unhurt and that I was able to spend some time with her yesterday. You’re right, Jaine. The car can be replaced. Our children, no matter what their age, are infinitely precious.
@CamandJarvis Moving can be stressful, but sounds like you're making an exciting change. Hang in there!
@tinabambina29 Hope all goes smoothly tomorrow and that you have a quick and easy recovery.

Day/Weight/Comment
11/19 – 176.6 – It’s always nice to see a drop at the start of a round. Tuesday is my busiest day this semester, but a workshop and a last-minute commitment made this an especially tough one. No time to walk, but I met my calorie goals.
11/20 – 176.6 – Took my daughter out to lunch today for a little "mom TLC." She hit a deer on the highway last night and, although she wasn't injured, she was tired and shaken. She's also without a car. No walk and over on salt, sugar, and calories. I won’t be surprised to see a bounce in the next couple of days, but that's okay. Back on track tomorrow.
11/21 – 177.2 – As predicted, there’s that bounce. Small, but motivating. I stayed on track and met my goals today, including the walk. I had to really push myself to go, but the park was lovely in the hour before dusk and before long I could feel the tension dissolve.

@kimp7985, Welcome to JGM10D! I know, it is humbling to put your actual start weight on blast to strangers, let alone family. My highest weight was 260! When I returned to logging on MFP my weight was 253. You'll do just fine and there's plenty of support here. Take the time to learn about yourself, your body, your habits, your thoughts, emotions. What's working for you and what's not, don't quit on yourself. Sometimes it's a struggle, but never give up. YOU ARE WORTH IT!
@jenn990205, How horrifying for your son! It is a blessing that he came away unscathed. Glad to hear he's okay. From that stressful event to shingles, smh. Stress can cause shingles too. I hope that it is a somewhat mild case. {{{Hugs}}}
@quiltingjaine, keto white chicken chili, sounds nummy, lol, as my DGS says. We need to start a recipe sharing day on JGM10D!
@shunggie, Yeah, no more walks in the dark! Exercise is important, but safety first.
@deepwoodslady, You've really been increasing your exercise. That's great!
@arlak21, "...lowest I've weighed in 17 years." Fantastic!
@huevosverdesysam, (formerly oldephatguy?) If so, I'm sure glad that you didn't leave altogether!
@Dorgle690, My motivation is my health! Come on now, you can do this!
@HoopsGuy72, Congrats on your shirt size NSV! It's always a good feeling to fit into the smaller sized clothes in your closet. You're well rested now, so I know you're ready to get back in the gym!
@MadisonMolly2017 and @TerriRichardson112, ❤
Terri, you have consistently chipped away the 150's. Looks like you'll be solidly in the 140's for the new year.
@beachwalker99, Oh my gosh! Glad that your daughter wasn't injured from hitting the deer. They can really tear up a car. They are dangerous during rutting season. My oldest son hit a buck and totalled his car when he was a teenager.
Time to clean up from dinner now. Back later. Soup was great! Cauliflower and Leek.

** ROUND 96 **
Round # 25 for me
Goal the next ten days:
1.) NO fried foods – 1/8
2.) Reach 6500 step goal – 2/6
3.) Go to bed before midnight – 0/5 (bankers hrs: 10:30 to 7:00)
<<<Round goal weight: 389.8 >>>
Day/Weight/Comment
11/19 394.8 0.0 – I am going to shoot for getting in the next decade this challenge. I need to work on getting in to bed by midnight more the next 10 days. Only 2 times last challenge. Lowered my goal to 5 this time. I am logging good. That is like taking a bath every day for me, so doing something more challenging for me that I need to stop that I have been letting creep back into my diet too much. Not a lot, but more than I would like.
11/20 394.4 -0.4 lbs.
11/21 392.6 -1.8 lbs. – It felt good to be able to move my ticker again on MFP! It had been a while. Staying the course. Two days in a row that I got in my steps goal and a few walks. Eating pretty good. I have been trying to get in my 8 glasses of water and I finally got in 8 glasses today! It has been a while since I did that. The little cup at the end of my diary is helping. I have been averaging 6. Because of my incontinence issue 8 to 10 is about all I can do if I don't want to be up all night. I have a hard enough time with sleep as it is, so I do not want to be up and down every hour and half because I had too much water. Have a great weekend if I am not able to get back on tomorrow. I am at year end at work and it is a very busy time right now and when I get home, the last thing I want to do is get on a computer. Keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:

My journey … "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbs.My highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs.
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)

Day/Weight/Comment
11/19 134.4 – 11.9 miles walked yesterday, all macros in green.
11/20 133.4 – yeay!!! happy dance, at least for now !! 12.27 miles walked yesterday, I really need to keep my mileage in double figures as many days as possible to make by year total of 3300 miles which I have done the last two years. My daily average so far this year is down – all due to outside influences, weather, my elderly father and his maiden aunt both had several weeks in hospital and due to their dementia need a relative with them almost all their waking hours, oh and did I mention the weather? So much rain this year for days at a time . I should not complain, I really feel for those people that are flooded out in their homes, such a dreadful situation. Still life happens and I'm trying to play catch up. All macros well in green
11/21 133.8 – 12.23 miles walked day yesterday. All macros well in green.
11/22 134.4 – yoyo!! Only 3.29 miles walked yesterday, mostly chasing my 19 month old DGS around (Granny day!).

Date – Weight in of the morning– Summary of the previous day:
11/19 152.8 (-1.6) 1194 cal, 4310 steps, very surprised by this drop but who am I to complain I did feel like doing a happy dance this morning when I saw the scales as it's the first time in 10 years that I've seen 152.x which is under 70kg!! 😉 On a different subject,I’m painting my living room at home, which isn’t the best of ideas in winter, but it’s keeping me active and stopping me from snacking in the evenings! Today I’m going to the gym at lunch time and painting the 2nd layer on the ceiling this evening. Food is generally on track and I've downloaded an app to remind me to drink more water.
11/20 153.4 (+0.6) 1268 cal, 14.283 steps, 3.85 km run. A good day all over yesterday. A slight gain today but not too worried. I spent a good month oscillating between 154.x and 153.x so I’m hoping now that it’ll be between 153 and 152 😉 Nothing special planned today but the usual and painting this evening.
11/21 153.4 (0.0) Status quo, food was on target but I didn’t do any major activity than paint my living room after work in the evening! I’m going to the gym for a short workout during my lunch hour, tonight more painting and that’s about I !
11/22 152.2 (-1.2) way over on calories, 10013 steps, 3km run. Great loss but I think it’s a fluke and I’m pretty sure it’ll be up tomorrow. I had cake yesterday and some chocolates so it’s bound to go up lol Yesterday evening I went for a quick run and then continued painting the living room till 10pm. I’m hurting all over I think it’s due to the painting not the run lol I should be finished by tomorrow, I've had enough of painting now Then I have the weekend to clean and put everything back in place. I’m going out tonight so that’ll be hard, I think I’ll plan a good dinner so I’m not hungry. It’s a board games evening which is normally chips and beer, I’ll have to bring some healthy options but it’ll be hard to resist!

Ultimate Goal- Maintain 130-135
Goal for this round is to get my average down by any number. I’m working on building lean muscle while blasting fat, so my scale isn’t moving much right now. But one of these days it’s gonna do a dive.

11/19 177.2lbs! Holy hell - this has GOT to be from eating out 4 days in a row, even if I am trying to make good choices. I'm sure I've had more sodium in the last week than in the prior month. Also, very little sleep these last days: 4h13m/58. This is not a great start to the new round, but better than ending it like this!
11/20 177.2lbs 6h16m/80 - training this morning... I am not letting this get in my head.
11/21 176.3lbs 6h33m/77 - it may not be a whoosh, but at least it's coming off. Good lesson to learn early on in my gym challenge... severely limit restaurant meals. NSVs help, too... a pair of workout capris are loose now - like, I can't wear them for cardio loose, or I'll lose them. 😉
11/22 176.8lbs 6h47m/82 - frustrated and upset. Will talk to my trainer, maybe cut my calories. B is not a happy camper right now.

Round 96
As 2019 winds down my goal wt for Jan 1st is 262 which would give me a loss for the year of 15 lbs. I think that will put me in a good spot heading in to 2020. I will be 55 in a couple of weeks and it would be awesome to hit my goal wt this year and finally have a handle on this weight thing. A pound a week in 2020 will put me there. Good luck everyone and have a great round.

11/21 - DNW - At BF's house, no scale. I was trusted with a coworker's borrowed large trailer to tow BF's beloved motorcycle and his riding lawnmower over to my place for temp storage until he can come get them once he's settled in Texas. Made me feel so amazing to be able to do that, even through rush hour traffic. Reminded me of being back on the farm. Confidence boost for sure. Its the little things but I really needed something to be proud of during this rough time. This weekend will be just packing. Parents coming to visit next week, first time in a year I've seen them. And they're bringing my puppy! (she's 8 but she's a puppy) so I'm sure to eat a lot of my mother's lovely cooking and cuddle with my pup. Mentally preparing now for that.

Previous Day's Comments11/19 - Well, long story short, I got inspired by BF moving that I decided to purge my own house (the kids and I can help him purge and pack. If I move, I'm on my own). That turned into "I just made this mess, now I have to sort it" which turned into "oh my! its past my bedtime and I haven't eaten dinner or showered!" So I only had one meal yesterday and that was a piece of lasagna. Oops. Today isn't much better since I didn't cook to bring anything so I'm eating the last can of soup I have as backup at work. More purging tonight which is keeping me active and it feels really nice. Plus, trash goes out today so I can finally clear the pile by the door (trash can was full). Hopefully I don't donate too much more stuff or I won't be able to take it all in one trip! One room down (minus the things that I'm selling) and just one more big bin to sort and room 2 is down. All that's left after that is living room, kitchen, and bedroom!
11/20 - This seems a little more accurate as I actually had more than one meal, unlike Monday. Still not so great on water, but better than I was before. I desperately need to go grocery shopping but I'm so tight on money I'm not sure how to pull it off. BF's tonight as I sold my desk and chair I haven't used in 2 years. Its only $20 but that's a tank of gas in my work car! Too bad I have to deliver. At least I can stay with BF and spend some more time with him while he's here.
11/21 - At BF's house. Probably will be again tonight and through the weekend so no chance to weigh in. As long as I stay on track, I'll be content. Coordinated moving a bit more. Financially, it's gonna hurt. And I might have to drive the truck down while he gets a uhaul and dollies my car so he can save money not going back and forth on his own while trying to work. I'm okay with that! Any chance to go to Texas, I'm game. Will be difficult food and water wise, but I've got a couple weeks to figure out how I'm going to manage. The 11 hour drive alone to come back will be horrible, though.

R96 Goal - To get back to eating healthy food and being more active. Hopefully lose a few pounds.
11/19 - 213
11/20 - 212.3 I'm in Australia so it's night time here. I had a good, healthy day although I was at work and I always eat less at work.
11/21 - 209.4 I won't do a Happy Dance just yet. My weight has a habit of messing with me.
11/22 - 209.2 I was pleased enough with the scales that I willingly spent the whole day cleaning. Then we had (homemade) pizza for dinner. I know...it was not a good idea. I chose mushroom, capsicum, sundried tomato, basil and chilli. I stayed away from the, very tempting, bacon and pepperoni that my kids added. I also went really light on the cheese. Hopefully I won't have huge regrets tomorrow
