19: 205 Nice start to the round 🙃
20: 204.3
21: 204.5 Fitbit says TOM tomorrow. Expecting I'll see a drop in a couple of days, as it's my usual pattern with hormone shifts.
22: 203.4 Pretty sure this isn't hormone related, but with the timing it could be. @tiabirdie56 It really seems to be! I've done LCHF before with success, but cutting out grains and sugar completely is doing wonders. I feel better than I have in a very long time.

NEVER GIVE UP! You can surprise yourself! I have.
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

11/19 122.5 Gym day today. My Art Quilt group has it annual holiday potluck tomorrow and I have no idea what to take. Last year there were too many desserts and no LCHF entrees.
⭐️On this date last year, weighed 131.0, I watched what I ate and how much during multiple potlucks, 3 holidays (Thanksgiving and 2 Christmases with family) and other random celebrations. I did hit 133.0 a couple of times but was at 133.5 on/ New Year’s morning. I had determined that I did not want to go back where I had been and was mindful. You can do it!
11/20 123.5 Heavy workout day at the gym yesterday. I know I’m getting stronger, I just wish I felt I was. I made Keto white chicken chili for today’s potluck.
11/21 122.0 My potluck dish was a hit!
11/22 121.0 DH woke up sick yesterday. I spent most of the day reading a book a friend loaned me. When we went out to get his meds, I got 2 grande lattes with heavy cream at that famous coffee place (it was happy hour day) and that was how I broke my almost 22 hour fast. I continued to “enjoy” (not so much) that coffee for the rest of the day. UGH! Hardly ate any supper. Feeling much better today. Fasting until dinner. (It’s in print so now I have to, right?)7 -

Round 96 - – November 19 –28
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 164.4, GW – 163 something, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)
Last few rounds I’ve been ever so gradually creeping up. I think I have turned that around though. Have a concert the beginning of Dec. and have to fit into my choir outfit (which I wore in spring though not very comfortably). Could buy something new but it has to be all black which I never wear otherwise and this is my last year before moving away. So, motivation to be less laid back about it.
Day/Weight/Comment
11/19 - 164
11/20 – 164.2
11/21 – 164.2 Weighed the last 2 days but didn’t record as I had a trip to the city and interruptions yesterday. Exercised yesterday but stayed up late. Only small piece of cheese for LNS though.
11/22 – 163.8 – Happy to see this. Ironic that a year ago I would have been sad to see this number because I was dipping into the 150 somethings but still have to remember that I got down there once so I can do it again and keep going.

@dogdazerover, @huevosverdesysam, @oldephatguy, Which ever name you choose to be, STAY! I DO understand getting fed up with MFP.
Many times during the past year, I've gotten so frustrated, I've felt like chucking it and using a different app, but I like the people here, so I stay. Besides, I've invested way too much time with over 300 recipes entered on this website, using it for 8 years. Easy to just click and add to my diary. But, yeah sometimes, uuuuuuggghhh😠

11/19 …..185.8 ….. A very good day yesterday. I was hoping for another drop on the scale but it maintained. Got to this weight on a whoosh so I guess I have to let it get comfortable before it moves down again. Yesterday’s stats: 1004 Calories In / 2780 Calories Out. 40 Net Carbs. 21,201 Total Steps & 8.97 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 12 minutes. I walked at 3.25 mph for 97 minutes doing school-hall walking and I walked for 32 minutes at 3.0 mph with a planned walk around my property. Total extra calorie burn 750. I prep cooked yesterday a bit. I have invited my cousin & his son over for a Mexican dinner tonight. I will be mindful. Good luck everyone on this round. The progress I am seeing from all of you is phenomenal!
11/20 …..184.6 ….. I am thrilled with the scale reading but feeling a bit guilty about it and feeling, also, that I don’t deserve to be rewarded for bad behavior. Made a nice Mexican dinner for my visiting family (hunting season) and ate handfuls of those chocolate tipped candy corn I had on the table for them while I was cooking. I ended up with a teeny tiny dinner to make up for it. Thankfully, all the protein in chicken quesadillas and ground beef & bean tostadas have lots of protein so at least I wasn’t hungry when I went to sleep! I won’t do that again anytime soon, though. It skewed my general low carb plan but the calories were okay. Yesterday’s stats: 1153 Calories In / 2829 Calories Out. 133 Carbs (ouch!). 19,172 Total Steps & 8.11 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours (due to dinner guests) and I slept 4 hours & 25 minutes waking up refreshed. I walked at 3.5 mph for 101 minutes at the school, and I walked 32 minutes at 3.0 at home for a total of 809 extra burned calories. Better choices today is what is on the menu! I’m thankful to God for shining down on my scale.
11/21 …..186.8 ….. A little too much indulgence with visiting family but activity was very good. Yesterday’s stats: 1826 In / 3172 Calories Out. 210 Carbs. 25,480 Total Steps & 10.82 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 2 hours & 3 minutes due to tummy aches from food overload. Lesson Learned. They are still visiting until Sunday, but I won’t do that again on that level! I fit in a lot of exercise during their two hunting sessions. I walked for 97 minutes burning 523, I walked for 59 minutes burning 324, I walked for 40 minutes burning 177 and I danced for 19 minutes burning 118. Sample song- “Centerfold” by J. Geils”. Total extra calorie burn 1142.
11/22 …..185.6 ….. I tried to “shake it up” a bit yesterday to speed up my recovery on the scale and it worked. Less planned exercise but I did take one long walk (2 hours). In diet, I ate lower carb and calorie than I have been lately and made each bit count with GOOD HEALTHY choices. Yesterday’s stats: 1030 Calories In / 2926 Calories Out. 21 Net Carbs. 22,028 Total Steps & 9.32 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 7 hours & 49 minutes to make up for the night before. Wonderful! I took a 2 hours walk in the school halls for an extra burn of 699. Have a great weekend everyone!

Last day of this round is Thanksgiving morning. Looking to get back into the 130's and see 138.xx before Thanksgiving, maybe!
11/19 - 142.0
11/20 - 142.0 Sorry I haven't been around. My life took a crazy turn last Friday and I am barely getting it together today. I finished out the last round yesterday and just barely caught up on every bodies progress in round 95 today. I did weigh everyday just never could get time to post. My 18 year old son totaled his car on the freeway on Friday. 2 cars hit him and neither one of them stopped. He is fine, not even a scratch on him, so that is the most important thing. We are now looking for a new car for him and trying to get the insurance and everything settled. On top of all that I woke up Sunday with a lot of pain going down the right side of my body and ended up in urgent care. I had that same rash back now for the 3rd time this year. The first time in April my Dr told me it was a spider bite, the 2nd time in July she told me it was a staph infection, this weekend I was told it was shingles. So for almost a year I have been dealing with this stuff coming and going and it has been shingles the whole time. I had to start the anti-viral meds today and hopefully this will be the end of it. So my weight is up about 2 pounds from last Friday, but I think it's due to stress, being sick, and new meds. Hopefully it will be back down in the next couple of days. Uggghh, I feel better now that I have ranted a little bit, lol.
11/21 - 140.6 at least it is down a little bit. Medicine is making me super sick and have no appetite at all. Hoping I feel better tomorrow and can get back on track. Trying to catch up on this round now, but am still behind!
11/22 - 138.7 This is a new low for me, but I definitely think this is a false low. I have barely eaten anything in the last 2 days, because of the shingle meds. I am on. They don't make me sick or anything. I just have 0 appetite and even the smell or look of food disgust me right now. I am also exhausted, I have not slept in 2 nights because of all of this. I am hoping to go to bed early tonight and maybe feel better tomorrow. I had a very mild case, so the pain isn't that bad at all. We will see what happens the rest of this round I guess.

P.S. I wrote little notes to about 10 different people about their situations and thanked everybody for all the wishes and thoughts on a word document. When I went to paste it in here I accidentally deleted the entire thing. My mind is just not all here right now, lol. So in short I really appreciate everybody sending all the love my way. Maybe I will get it together tomorrow. Hope everybody has an amazing weekend!15 -

I wanted to thank everyone for all the love and support! I was going to thank each of you individually, but I was behind and reading comments on my phone and I have not figured out how to read posts and make comments without losing my place! But I really appreciate all your prayers and positive energy. The first chemo treatment Wednesday went well. I even took an hour leisurely walk in the afternoon. I couldn't sleep much at all Wednesday night though...the steroids kept me up. So I felt a bit crappy Thursday morning, but by afternoon managed a long and fairly decent paced walk. Today I felt good til about noon and then started feeling a bit off...I'm hoping it is just my imagination worrying! Thanks again for all the good wishes!

Hi. My name is Trina.
This 10 days may well be a bit of a mess. We are going to a new restaurant for dinner tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday and my start of chemo tomorrow! Chemo starts tomorrow and could lead to loss of appetite and/or comfort eating and I think they may give me some steroids, so that would also complicate matters! I'm still trying to get down to 128, before officially starting to maintain, but mostly want to get and stay under 130.

11/19 394.8 0.0 – I am going to shoot for getting in the next decade this challenge. I need to work on getting in to bed by midnight more the next 10 days. Only 2 times last challenge. Lowered my goal to 5 this time. I am logging good. That is like taking a bath every day for me, so doing something more challenging for me that I need to stop that I have been letting creep back into my diet too much. Not a lot, but more than I would like.
11/20 394.4 -0.4 lbs.
11/21 392.6 -1.8 lbs. – It felt good to be able to move my ticker again on MFP! It had been a while. Staying the course. Two days in a row that I got in my steps goal and a few walks. Eating pretty good. I have been trying to get in my 8 glasses of water and I finally got in 8 glasses today! It has been a while since I did that. The little cup at the end of my diary is helping. I have been averaging 6. Because of my incontinence issue 8 to 10 is about all I can do if I don't want to be up all night. I have a hard-enough time with sleep as it is, so I do not want to be up and down every hour and half because I had too much water. Have a great weekend if I am not able to get back on tomorrow. I am at year end at work and it is a very busy time right now and when I get home, the last thing I want to do is get on a computer. Keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:
11/22 391.2 -1.4 lbs. – Staying on track. A little over calories. I did not get in my steps. I am logging it all and no fried and/or fast food. All the same for me. Goal to at least maintain another weekend. I was looking at my scale app and I have not gained weight in 8 days and that is a record I want to keep going for a while. I know it will not last forever but hey I can keep it going as long as I can right lol You all are helping me keep my head in the game. Thanks for being here and have a great weekend!! :flowerforyou:

My journey … "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbs.My highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs.
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)

Round 96 (my 18th)
It’s crunch time for my students, so I’ll be holding extra office hours and workshops to help them get caught up before Thanksgiving break. This round, I really want to push myself to get out and walk, as I could use the mental space as well as the exercise.

Day/Weight/Comment
11/19 – 176.6 – It’s always nice to see a drop at the start of a round. Tuesday is my busiest day this semester, but a workshop and a last-minute commitment made this an especially tough one. No time to walk, but I met my calorie goals.
11/20 – 176.6 – Took my daughter out to lunch today for a little "mom TLC." She hit a deer on the highway last night and, although she wasn't injured, she was tired and shaken. She's also without a car. No walk and over on salt, sugar, and calories. I won’t be surprised to see a bounce in the next couple of days, but that's okay. Back on track tomorrow.
11/21 – 177.2 – As predicted, there’s that bounce. Small, but motivating. I stayed on track and met my goals today, including the walk. I had to really push myself to go, but the park was lovely in the hour before dusk and before long I could feel the tension dissolve.
11/22 – 177.2 – Rainy day, so I did some household chores before picking my grandsons up from school. Opened a bottle of wine for the grown-ups and made a salad to go with the kids’ choice of take-out for an easy dinner. Bacon pizza and pinot noir put me over my goal (but still under maintenance). With all the holiday prep ahead, it was a relaxing start to a busy weekend.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 96 (round 28 for me ) I'm in for another round, can't believe how many I've completed already! I need to continue losing my cheeky pre-Brexit weeks holiday gain. Day/Weight/Comment
11/19 134.4 – 11.9 miles walked yesterday, all macros in green.
11/20 133.4 – yeay!!! happy dance, at least for now !! 12.27 miles walked yesterday, I really need to keep my mileage in double figures as many days as possible to make by year total of 3300 miles which I have done the last two years. My daily average so far this year is down – all due to outside influences, weather, my elderly father and his maiden aunt both had several weeks in hospital and due to their dementia need a relative with them almost all their waking hours, oh and did I mention the weather? So much rain this year for days at a time . I should not complain, I really feel for those people that are flooded out in their homes, such a dreadful situation. Still life happens and I'm trying to play catch up. All macros well in green
11/21 133.8 – 12.23 miles walked day yesterday. All macros well in green.
11/22 134.4 – yoyo!! Only 3.29 miles walked yesterday, mostly chasing my 19 month old DGS around (Granny day!).
11/23 134.4 – 9.77 miles walked yesterday, all macros well in green, scale will eventually catch up on good habits!

11/19 - 110 kg // I gained weight during round 95 but I built some great habits, like exercise, drinking water, and tracking what I eat. I also stopped adding milk to my coffee because milk just started tasting really sweet. Black coffee with no sugar is also super sweet BTW. Getting used to the taste. I'm trying to cut added sugar. I do use dairy but I'm trying to use it sparingly.
11/20 - 109.5 kg
11/21 - 109 kg // been eating less. Sticking to calorie goals went from 6 slices of bread a day go way less than that.
11/22 - 109.5 kg
11/23 - 109.1 kg Can't wait to get under 109. 😀 My appetite has been nonexistent. I'm eating less which is good since I was saying way too much for way too long.

UGW - around 140 pounds - may change.
R96 Goal - To get back to eating healthy food and being more active. Hopefully lose a few pounds.
11/19 - 213
11/20 - 212.3 I'm in Australia so it's night time here. I had a good, healthy day although I was at work and I always eat less at work.
11/21 - 209.4 I won't do a Happy Dance just yet. My weight has a habit of messing with me.
11/22 - 209.2 I was pleased enough with the scales that I willingly spent the whole day cleaning. Then we had (homemade) pizza for dinner. I know...it was not a good idea. I chose mushroom, capsicum, sundried tomato, basil and chilli. I stayed away from the, very tempting, bacon and pepperoni that my kids added. I also went really light on the cheese. Hopefully I won't have huge regrets tomorrow
11/23 - 208.6 Very happy. I had a healthy eating day but I need to drink more water.

Day/Weight/Comment
11/19 177.2lbs! Holy hell - this has GOT to be from eating out 4 days in a row, even if I am trying to make good choices. I'm sure I've had more sodium in the last week than in the prior month. Also, very little sleep these last days: 4h13m/58. This is not a great start to the new round, but better than ending it like this!
11/20 177.2lbs 6h16m/80 - training this morning... I am not letting this get in my head.
11/21 176.3lbs 6h33m/77 - it may not be a whoosh, but at least it's coming off. Good lesson to learn early on in my gym challenge... severely limit restaurant meals. NSVs help, too... a pair of workout capris are loose now - like, I can't wear them for cardio loose, or I'll lose them. 😉
11/22 176.8lbs 6h47m/82 - frustrated and upset. Will talk to my trainer, maybe cut my calories. B is not a happy camper right now.
11/23 176.8lbs 8h2m/91 - I want to cry. Or scream.
