Happy New Year Challengers! I am back from a great trip to South America where I did not count calories but did stay very active. I actually hiked 13 miles up and down a steep trail. I think my weight loss from the last challenge helped my with my confidence!

Goals for this challenge: Keep logging, daily exercise, expand my palate into more veggies and add back strength training to gain muscle. I really focused on cardio and just learning how to log and now I want to focus on strength and macros. Looking forward to all of our successes here!

    Highest Weight: 160
    Current Weight: 150.2

    12 Week Goal Weight: 137

    Weigh In:

    12/30/19 - Vacation
    1/6/20 - 150.2
1/13/20 -149.8 – ran 6 miles yesterday which made me hungry so I ate a pancake, boom. Win some, eat some. Now back to reality and need to lose the vacation mentality when it comes to drinking. :s

I don't know how tall you are, but looks like you've lost a lot already and it *does* get slower at lower weights. Don't lose motivation - you're still losing, after all! Also, do you measure anything other than weight (inches lost, body fat etc)? If you've changed your workout routine, perhaps you're gaining muscle?

@Katie9399 I agree with @josefinejem you've done AWESOME! If my memory is correct you've already lost over 50 pounds and your only 25 pounds away from your "ideal BMI" weight which many people could argue is a little too low. (many studies disagree with only focusing on that one number) And if you don't believe me that's ok listen to @josefinejem she's been there done that! You can't get discouraged because you give me courage. This isn't just the latest trend it's the rest of your life...hang in there my friend you're doing great!!!!!!!!!!

Somehow lost two pounds in moving my calories up? Not really sure what's going on there but I'm not here to complain about it, just means I can increase my maintenance limit! Your progress this week is looking fantastic everyone! Well done so far, keep up the good work

What do you do to lose your weight??[\quote]

My motto is eat less, move more. I walked off 35 of my 40 pound weight loss. Just walking, well, lots of walking. It’s only recently that I’ve added strength training because I hit a weight loss plateau.

I also don’t eat gluten (makes me sick), red meat, pork, soda, sugary sweets or high fat things like mayo. I try to keep my calories below 1400.

Just keep trying and the weight will come off.
