I feel like I'm doing everything right - drinking water, calorie deficit, counting macros, getting enough vitamins, sleeping, exercising, etc. - but the scale is going the wrong way. Meanwhile, my run is getting faster, and I'm losing inches, so I'm trying to not get discouraged. I just feel like I'm too heavy/early in my weight recovery journey for my muscles to start outweighing fat already. Even though the metrics tell me I'm gaining muscle and losing fat, the scale can be such a mental downer. So I set an appointment to get my body composition measured at the end of the month.7 -

You are down 4.4 pounds in three weeks. That's not the wrong way! Do you weigh daily? I recommend it. Use a tending app to separate the signal from the noise. I think you got it right that you're too early in your journey to really see a pattern. Keep doing what you're doing. You are on the right track.
Also, be aware that if you are exercising a LOT, you could be seeing water weight associated with muscle repair. You won't see muscle mass this quickly; that's almost given unless you're really new at it.3 -

Moving my weigh in to Monday. I dropped even lower but I had probably food poisoning for 24 hours recovered some of that today. ( makes me think of the line “I’m one stomach flu away from my goal weight “. I have had a solid week because I have been run off my feet at work (I hit cardio level for half an hour during one task today )

It's amazing how small changes in routines, can make or break progress. Hang in there everyone. Keep taking as good a care of yourself as you're able, restart and recommit every day and don't get discouraged if the scale doesn't move downward. Did you eat good food today? Did you get some exercise, move your body? Did you do something today that contributed toward better health? Can you feel good about what you did for yourself, your body, your dreams? Enjoy it. Be proud of it. Even if it's just itsy bitsy steps (like showing up here). Everything is a process. We're in this together and we can do it.4

Lost 5 pounds in the week by using MFP food diary, walking and a ride on Sunday. Think my metabolism is so slow these days I'll not drop much without adding some cardio.7 -

Original start Weight: 178lbs
Jan start Weight: 165.4 lbs
Jan Goal Weight: 163.4 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight: 135 lbs
Jan 1 : 165.4lbs. I gained a two pounds over the two week holiday with family and friends but still lost one lb for the month. Looking forward to getting back to a exercise routine again.
Jan 8: 163.0 lbs. Yay, already met this month's goal, hoping to hold or loose more. this is the lowest I have been in over 5 years.
Jan 15: 164.0 lbs Ok, we all knew that was to good to be true. Super hungry this week but I don't seem to loose if my calories are not under 1200 and I get in over 10,000 steps. Which is hard because of the below zero weather. But still on track for goal. I have found that eating from noon to 8 pm also is working at helping me loose.
Jan 22: 162.8 lbs Fluctuated a lot this week hoping to hold or go under.

Jan15: 216.4
I will have to re-adjust my Jan goal from 215 to 212. And then continue to drink my water and record my food.
Jan 22: 214.2 Hit my original goal, looks like I might just make my readjusted goal by the end of the month.
