Hubby worried now his job cannot be done from home (Construction). Weight of the world on his shoulders so Didnt say anything when he turned the nice healthy meal down for cake instead.
JR chose to wear underwear 🩲 after 2 accidents wanted the diaper. (2 diapers saved today!) so far saved (7 diapers total). Found cloth diaper inserts for his underwear 🩲 with built in rubber liners inside. Even if the Coronovirus subsides this spring I still need to potty 🚽 train either way. If it doesn’t will be glad to have these. Hoping they arrive ! Not a time for a lost package 📦 or a seller who wants the money but not to send anything. Will be watching the mail for them!
JR uses 7 diapers a day a box lasts 12days sz6. So 7 diapers is a days worth saved!

It's cancellation day on the news. Sounds like a Nationwide snow day. Or month. I wonder what the chances are that my flight to Tucson will be cancelled in two weeks. I just looked up the airline and they say I can rebook later this year. But the whole point was to get a dose of early spring sunshine. I better call the ranch and see what's up. So sad to cancel.6

Mary from AZ/MN - I feel your pain. One day I can be 5 pounds lighter or heavier than the day before. This is due mostly to water retention/loss. I weigh myself every day. As long as I stay within my window of 5 pounds, I am generally OK. However, I track it too and if I see a trend upward for a period of a couple of weeks, I take quick action. And watching calorie intake is key.
I'm at my lowest weight since high school and in the best overall shape and tone and I still look in the mirror and am unhappy. I don't think that will ever change because it just....is. I just appreciate every compliment I get, say thank you, move on, and try not to let it get me down. I like seeing muscle tone. I like being a "small" or "extra small" in vanity sizes. Those little things keep me lifting the weights and running the miles and watching what I put in my mouth. I also avoid buying food that sabotages my food intake.
But I also splurge often and I don't beat myself up over it.

Mary The only thing I can think to avoid the fluctuation is to weigh yourself every morning and if your weight is more than 2-3 lbs over your weight goal, activate your plan. You are certainly capable of that kind of discipline and if I understand you correctly, it would make you happier to have tighter control. The other idea is to try on your "skinny jeans" every day. When they're hard to button, time to buckle down for a week or two.

Karen in Va-we’re good.We have heard there’s confirmed cases in Williamsburg as well as Yorktown. But I think we’ll be fine as I hope y’all will be too.

Wash your tablets and cell phones often.
All schools closing in Ohio starting Monday until at least April 3. No large gatherings with a few exceptions. Suppose to go to banquets next two weekends. Guess we are wait and see. Craziness.......Feel badly for families with young kids.
Funeral to go to tomorrow night. It is a stop and go as we know the son but didn't know the deceased. Then will stop at store for a few things.
Tired tonight. SIL actually stayed at shop until 3 and helped me out. Husband actually did dishes for me tonight. I am heading to bed. Throat hurts bad today. Btw- it and my mouth have been sore since December.
Hugs!
Love!
Stay safe!

Hard to read this, but important. I already think when they quote the number of new cases I mutliply it by 10,deaths too. I think so much is under reported. Some deaths from flu might really be COVID-19. On the news tonight they said they have 8000 tests in California and 40 million people. It is more deadly than the flu.
I think it is important to know the symtoms so if you suspect you may have it STAY HOME! Here is U.S. there are not enough tests to find out for sure.
It can start like a cold...Then you get a sore throat with a cough. Then it gets and in lungs and the cough can get worse and you can get short of breath. Hopefully your body can fight it off. If not time to call doctor and you may need to go to the hospital.
What they are trying to do is keeping the number who get sick at the same time down so the medical system can handle the influx. You just have to look at Italy to see what happens if we do not all work together to slow this virus down.
I did read today that those cities that took extra measures by closing schools and eliminmating large gatherings faired better than those that did not during the Spanish Flu.
The Spanish Flu indirectly effected me in that my mom was born in India in 1918. She was taken care of by Iahs (not sure how to spell) She was told she had a number of them because many of them died from the flu. This also created the discord between the Indian population and the British Government because of how the British Government handled the Spanish Flu in India It was part of what lead to India working towards Independence. I never thought about this before in this light until I read this as I was reading about this flu.
I am slowly eliminating the teaching jobs I have scheduled. It is hard especially because some were requests , but I think it is for the best. They might close schools here too but I don't want to wait. DH has cancer and one kidney. Not worth the risk.
The times I go out I know exactly what I need to get I take a wet wipe with me and have started wearing safety glasses. I do not wear glasses. It might be time to get out my mask that I used when doing asbestos work at son's home. It is rated 100. It looks like a gas mask and at least has pink cartiages, so I could start a fashion trend. It is easier to breath through than a N-95 disposable mask. It is also can be worn more than once. It was quite a bit more expensive to buy at the time too!

NYKaren ... thinking of your daughter at Geneseo and SUNYs decision to go remote with all classes. When will she be home? How does this affect her graduation?
My son at Lipscomb in Nashville has just learned that Spring Break, which was to begin tomorrow and end on the 22nd has been extended to the 30th and classes will then be remote indefinitely from them on. He is not in a dorm, but an apartment this semester so at least his Dad and I don't have to deal with that. Some of his "classes" are performance ensembles. How do you do those things remotely? He's supposed to graduate May 1st, but now, who knows? And there's another tornado warning in Nashville tonight! Like they need that on top of it all.
I confess that all the closures and ramped up news breaks is starting to even affect this "half is glass full" gal. It is sad to see so many events cancelled. Praying that this virus runs its course quickly and that we learn what we need to learn and move on.

Hello everyone,
Tonight I had baked parmesan tomatoes. I liked them along with the chicken breast I baked. I only put the parmesan cheese from a can on them as I forgot the basil and parsley. So now I'll have to make them again. I love my tomatoes. Getting ready for seed planting. Softball season is now in practice mode for the next 2 weeks. This is one sport I enjoy watching.
Not much else is going on. I did finish cleaning the pantry and reorganizing it AND put the rest of Christmas away.
Just put up the ceramic Easter items.
See you all tomorrow.
Sleep tight.

Tina- I weigh myself everyday until I over eat then I don’t want to look at the scale because I know I will be unhappy! I need to give myself the 5 pound window and not stress over it. I mentally know that I can’t gain 5 pounds in one day that it probably is water retention but it freaks me out!
Karen VA I like the skinny jeans idea! Better than the scale. I’m in a weight loss challenge now and I don’t want to let my group down. I think that is a problem from being middle child! Or, I am a perfectionist!
Mary from Arizona/Minnesota8 -
Karen in Virginia yes she can!
Her and daddy clowning around!💖
I have a suggestion ladies. I know we all want to be helpful, but let's decide to become self informed. Every area is different. Some more extreme, some not so, regarding the Contravirus. This is a place to become motivated, to find help in our weight loss journey. If we become stressed about this, we are not good for anyone, especially ourselves💖.
This thread written out of love.

I just made a date to go to an art museum on Sunday. Hope the virus doesn't shut it down. The website says they are open. So far.4

Rebecca Athena looks more like you every day she’s such a happy baby. I love her eyes so expressive. Yes the virus has taken over so fast already. All we can do is lift each other up as a team as we stay healthy to strong like Women before us for what’s to come. Ideas 💡 on how to turn stuff into as healthy as possible dishes to new exercises for those who’s gyms are shut down or can’t go because their watching grandkids who’s school are closed temporarily can be helpful.
Even how to blow off steam to find the silver linings is needed for many now. Will pull through .
Plus stress leads to stress eating 🍽 no sleep 😴.Which is a vicious cycle! I ate cake 2 days now with butter frosting..a colon condition no -no !

Stress is not the right word for how I feel about all the info coming to me from this site about the Covid-19. It is graditude. I am grateful for all the info that others are sharing about this because it has helped me make good decisions for my health, for the health of my family, and for the health of our health care system.
I was so grateful that Amber posted those pictures from China becasue it gave me time to figure out how I was going to respond to this health threat. I apprecited knowing about the testing because now I know I have to do what I can to stay healthy, and it helps me make better decisions on how I will engage with the outside world. I am grateful to Macha for posting easy to find resources that make it easy to answer questions I might have.
Because of all you I feel I am prepared as best as I can be to be part of the solution to this threat and also how to best protect myself and my family. It also makes me feel I am part of somethig bigger than myself.
We are already in it together as far as this virus is concerned whether we want to be or not.
Already it is touching so many areas of our lives social, financial, health.
Rather than thinking of it adding stress to our lives we switch the paradime and think of it as another challenge we have faced together in this group. Deaths, divorces, major illnesses, loss of jobs, loss of relationships, mental illness...
We have faced these major challenges together and come out on the other side with love and stronger because of sharing on this site.
I said it once before yes one focus of this group is weight loss. I believe we have gone past that to to become a group that works on motivating us to become our healthiest self.
Yes and please keep sharing all the happy moments too grandchildren, dogs, art, flowers, scenery, dancing those feed the soul. We especially need those right now. So thankyou for sharing
Thank you to all of you here and a big Kindergarten hug to all.
Time to get those 7-8 hours of ZZZZZ.

All potty training advice welcome right now! I’m needing every avenue I haven’t tried yet. He’s definitely not like Daughter y too big for the tiny pots (got a adapter for the big potty extra cushion he’s sitting on). He feels wetness he rather have the diaper than stay dry so far. Being a picky eater M&Ms are out
