Wow! I thought I was keeping up, but apparently not. I was 300 posts behind.
I've been doing better with the walking - I got over 20,000 one day and have been averaging around 13,000 since I asked for the boot.
I worry about my son. His place of business employs 1500 people and they have been open most days. they shut down Friday a week ago because one employee tested positive for COVID-19, they sanitized and went back to work on Monday. They are now shut down again for cleaning because another employee tested positive. So far, he's healthy but we've told him to stay home.
My hairdresser finally shut down - the week I was due for a cut and color. This is not going to be pretty by the time my next appointment rolls around. It may be time to go natural! I'm glad I stopped the nail thing a while back. The eyebrows, though. I'm glad there's nowhere to go.

Good morning pals. I saw a funny this morning that said, “finally we will get to see everyone’s real hair color”. But not if you don’t leave the house. Lol.
Penny- love the beautiful picture. As a southern girl I don’t think I could survive where you live. Even Colorado was too cold too long for us so we retired in Texas.
All the babies are growing so fast. Love to see their pictures.
I agree we are lucky to have space to be outside. We see a lot of golf carts driving by in the late afternoons.
Take care my friends, this could last awhile. Have a purpose everyday so you are busy.

PENNY ~ Glad you are out of self quarantine but sad about your fall. I just imagine how much your daughter must enjoy her time in the forest.
PIP ~ Congrats on your amazing run of logging.
LUCY ~ Darling photo of you and the baby.
KAY ~ We are all going to be hurting for hair cuts and coloring. I am glad I have what I need to color my own hair. Guess some of our men folks will be getting shaggy too!
I grew up in the country about 13 miles from the nearest town. It felt very lonely a lot of the time. I now really enjoy the time I can sit on my front porch and watch all the walkers, joggers, and traffic going by.
I recently purchased my granddaughter a dress on Amazon. It arrived several days ago and I left the package alone hoping it was not contaminated. This morning I opened it up and see that the dress is in vacuumed sealed plastic and came from China. I will just let it sit for now and won’t open the wrap. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Am I being too worried?

Amber I am sorry for you and your family's loss. I was heartened to hear she had loved ones by her bedside.
Big virtual hug to you.2 -
Thanks for those of you who checked out my site. I was late with updates this month but need to finish the recipes I’ve started and mulling over a blog about CoVid and Bottomless Lakes!
I’m more upbeat now that my infection is gone and the sun is out so great news on my mental front.
Funnies from a video chat with my grandson.
Smile everyday, everyone!

DH and I had a lovely session of singing with the stuff our teacher had recorded for our singing group. We can hear him singing and playing the piano and he gives us the songs to sing along with him. It was great fun and we sung our little hearts out!
Now to do some dancing tomorrow!!!!

Rebecca: We visited Whidbey several years ago. We were considering retiring there. It was my impression that the western side of the island was arid and windy, while the eastern side was sheltered and more gentle. Sometime after our visit, parts of the western side of the island fell into the ocean. Yikes! :noway:
Pip: I looked me up—this is day 2725. That is 7.46 years. I’ll happily keep chasing you. You’re a champion.
Penny: Your home is in a beautiful place. What a lovely photo.
Breakfast is nearly ready and I need to do my part. Have a great day.!

I think a lot of people decide to retire here. But most are here in Oak Harbor, then the rest scattered around Coupville, Anacortes, and Langley. Our huge trees shield us fairly well. Spent 30 minutes waiting in line outside of the commissary. We arrived there at 8:30, waited until 9 am when the seniors can shop. 75 people in at a time, so at least it wasn't crowded inside. Here's what I looked like.
I was smiling under it too.😁

I sanitized my groceries too. Have a sterile area, place bag on it and take out each thing to wipe down. If you can, take it out of the box to store. Twice as long as normal but hey that's our new normal.

Thankyou. Hopefully my 79yr old Aunt who heading that way is going to help not ask for all the valuables claiming their hers like she did to me after my mom passed on. She brought the RV so she not planning on leaving quickly.
President of USA 🇺🇸 now saying WEAR MASKS ,bandana,scarf,T-shirt around your head, anything!! So hoping folks listen. Wear gloves too!

I made my mask bigger and now I can get my hair in there too. The filter is a 1500 Filterate and it filters out viruses. I like it because it is more comfortable then the N-95 Mask, I can fit all my hair in it. It is more comfortable to breather than a N-95, the filter is protected so even if you touch it it does not contaminate the filter. It not have some aluminum metal holding it in place that you have to fold back and I covered with foil tape. One comment I got was to make sure it did not contain fiberglass. I wouldn't think a furnace filter would not contain fiber glass I will be more careful as I get filters for son's house. The filter I used does not contain fiber glass. We have hot water heat and ductless AC so it is not an issue for us.
I wore this when I went to PO today I wanted to get one of these to my niece and her daughter. For her son I made it a bandana. I said I could make either for her DH. just let me know.
I do have a N-100 mask but it makes me look like a bug. I did get strange looks when I wore that one.
When I am walking outside and keeping social distance don't wear it.

I tried to post my video washing my hands I couldn't get it to post. I did get it on Facebook so if you want to see it you can go to my timeline. Still not sure why. It is rare that I post a video so I suppose that is why. I recorded this on my Chromebook and usually I post photos from our desktop.2

SuziQ “Gertrude” Defarge your micromanaging coworker! Are your eyes the same color?
Heather HAH. It would not break my heart if the mosquitoes all starved to death. Just sayin’
Amber So very sorry to hear about the Skagit Valley Chorale. No cases had yet been reported in the county. No one was coughing or appeared ill. Everyone brought their own sheet music and avoided direct physical contact. 45 of the 60 tested positive so far, at least 3 hospitalized, 2 dead. A bitter lesson for all. Prayers for your aunt and all her family’s peace.
Karen thanks for the virtual choir. When I shared to our church’s group page, I peeked at the video of the How do do this. Need more tea but looks possible.Lanette After the gold rush trio. Wow.
Tere look forward to hearing how your Zoom happy hour went.
Margaret so glad to hear your son walked all the way around the lake. The more he does that the better!
Kylia that Chris Mann parody of Adele’s “Hello” made me laugh AND cry. His “My Corona” is just plain funny Tracey Snow? On top of everything?!? :noway: I see that policeman making LOTS of arrests
Lisa and Okie Joe and I were just saying the same thing, how very fortunate we are to have landed here in rural southern Oregon on 15 vertical acres when this pandemic hit. Not still in the Bay Area or even in Boise or any densely populated area. Makes up for no ICU or Trader Joe’s.
Allie are you thinking your dogs could pick the virus up from the dogs belonging to infected folk? Scary!
Pip 8+ years, Brava! Wish you had a magic wind deflecting bubble you could ride in.
LuciB the pic!
Penny invisible ice is one of the reasons we no longer live in Idaho. Hope your bruises fade and heal quickly and that no damage was done to your glasses or bones. Hope the dogsledding companies can start a GoFundMe to tide the dogs over. If they post to the customers that had to cancel, perhaps …
Kay 20K+ steps, inspiring!
Suebdew “… real hair color”
Rita thankful to hear your UTI is cleared up. Hooray!
SuziQ that quarantine wardrobe meme could be me except the stain is from Cheetos, the chocolate crumbs are missing… and who can wait ‘til 2pm for wine?
Rebecca ROFLMAO! How can anyone wearing such a mask be so very beautiful? You ROCK!
Margaret, likewise you are so beautiful in your niqab/burka. Gives me a less negative perspective on wearing headscarves. Thanks!
Joe is watching the Three Stooges which makes me want to vacuum
Oops, here goes the Robert Waldinger Maintaining Relationships livestream.

Just checking in. I enjoy reading daily and appreciate the smiles and laughs I get from the sharing. It’s hard times across the world right now and this group is a positive supportive place and I’m grateful it’s a part of my day.
Grateful for so much....enough to eat....a comfortable house....I’m healthy and so is my husband.... I have Ella to walk with me.... my sister has 3 more chemotherapy infusions and she’s tolerating them...we can’t visit but we talk everyday.... Life is good.
Last day of March and just stayed at the same weight all month. Hope I do better in April.
Thank you all for the pictures and helpful sharing.

I’ve had a good day shopping and chatting with our neighbor. Her son has been working in England for several years. He was sent home to her house in Oregon. He is still working for his British employer from here. She’s happy to have him at home for a while.3

Tried to get an online delivery, but they are only delivering now to the extremely vulnerable as defined by the government's list. I am just elderly. Oh well.
I went on to Amazon and hunted about for things that are unobtainable locally. I found crunchy peanut butter, not my usual brand, but heh, and extra virgin olive oil. The only thing I really need that is hard to get is unsalted butter.
Then I put in an order for AF beers and AF wine from a website that specializes in AF. Paid a bit more, but if it stops me drinking ...... Alcohol sales in the UK have gone up by 33%.
Our very local mini supermarket was completely out of everything this afternoon. Bare shelves. Luckily I am well stocked up. I only went in because I was next door at the pharmacy, collecting my BP medication. The girl serving me couldn't find my prescription at first because she couldn't understand my carefully spelled out surname. Grrrrrr! She had to write it down after two tries and check it with the boss. Of course, it was there all the time and it was my second visit to find it. I had put in two requests. I was very kind and thanked her. I'm sure they are very stressed. It's all laid out with taped off areas for queuing and a boxed area for waiting.
I know I am very lucky, so try not to agitate myself. Not always easy. I'm not patient, nor tolerant of incompetence. But I know I am not on the front line.
Love to all who are having to deal with this at close quarters.

Oh Barbara, you dear friend are too kind. Amazingly enough people at the commissary gave husband and I a wide berth. " Oh no um ma'am you go first ". Husband's mug shot.💖
His glasses kept fogging up!

Dr. Katie: I encountered my hair dresser at the grocery store. She owns the shop and has many worries. The Governor of Oregon required beauty shops to close. She’s out of work and her stylists are also out of work. They might be entitled to Unemployment Insurance depending on whether they’re employees or independent beauticians who rent a chair. I don’t know the answer to that question. :noway:
I am starting to feel restless due to lack of exercise. There is no yoga, & the fitness center is closed. I can't go horseback riding. It is chilly enough outside that I don’t particularly want to go out for a walk. We have recumbent bikes in the garage and a trainer that can be used by either of them to ride in place. I think it is time to get the clutter stuffed somewhere else or thrown away, and the terra-tryke back in the business of improving strength and stamina and burning calories.
Has anyone heard from Rori?

Good morning pals. I saw a funny this morning that said, “finally we will get to see everyone’s real hair color”. But not if you don’t leave the house. Lol.
Actually ... that was one of the things I bought a few weeks ago in preparation for this time. I figured if I was going to have time on my hands, I'd dye my hair again.
