A lot going on here. Created a work space. If everyone recalls I've been putting off getting rid of the desk for years. It was the first thing Chalrie and I built together. Maybe my subconscious knew this day was coming.
I took of the top half off of the desk. It will be carried to the curb tomorrow night for bulk trash pickup. Second picture is my new remote workspace.

This would have been my first day for my dude ranch trip. Oh well. My deposit is good for two years, and American airlines gave me credit back. Not real happy about the credit. It doesn't seem like a good time to plan another trip so i might not use it by the end of 2020.

Thank you everyone for photos of your darlings, with skin and fur.
Love Heather, in the UK, where it was snowing today. Didn't settle, but what a contrast to last week! Xxxxxxxx6 -
Barbie: We do have excellent husbands. I count my husband as one of the biggest blessings in my life. The other blessings are our children and grandchildren.
Heather: I hope you eventually get your refund from the cruise line. I hope it doesn’t take too long. :flowerforyou:
One of our neighbors decided the lawn needs mowing and used his push mower to do it. That goes above and beyond the call of duty. Our landscape person lives in an area that is under quarantine, so he can’t come until things improve. It may be “a while” and that falls in the "who knows when" category. We are fortunate to have good neighbors.

Started puzzle for husband
Some of my completed coloring. Not sure what I will do with them yet.....

Laundry going. Bed remade. Am I the only one that forgets that last load in the dryer until the next laundry needs to go in? Posted a couple things for husband. I too watched church online. The power went out right at the end of service! Luckily the washer and dryer had already stopped! Was out for about an hour. All is back to normal. 😎
Break over!

Hello Ladies!
Today I discovered that my Weather Channel phone app is providing local Covid-19 updates. Even though I vowed not to look at the numbers, I couldn't help myself. It appears my county now has 358 confirmed cases which is ... get this ... +562.9% increase since last week!! My county includes the city of Buffalo, but is largely a suburban and rural area. Sadly, we've had 5 deaths so far. So, yeah, I'm paying attention to social distancing.
I regularly take Aleve for arthritis ... I've discontinued it for the time being and so far I'm doing pretty well. If, by the end of this, I can get off of even an over the counter medication, I'll consider that a win!
I have been losing weight, but then I have also been cleaning and doing more than usual since everyone is home. I do need to get outside. We've had storms all day and it's clear now, but we still have standing water in the yard. I envy those of you who can start outside work. We're hoping for later this week.
I have to take my oldest son out on Wednesday for a medical appointment ... his implanted medicinal pump needs refilled. It is not something that can be delayed ... it will cause severe withdrawal symptoms that can lead to pulmonary failure. I'm getting antsy thinking about it, but will take every precaution and then some.
Today we had "church" through Facebook and shortly here I will be watching my dear friend's daughter get married through a live-stream. There will only be the bride and groom and their parents. So very sorry to see plans get derailed. But in my opinion, getting married has never been about a wedding, it's about a relationship. They're going to try for a party/2nd wedding again in late September.
Thanks for the laughs and the photos ... keep them coming!!

I decided to go to the mail box today to get the mail from the last 3 days. When I got back inside, I was short of breath and all chugged up. The pollen is terrible here.

You were right it is too early to push son to do a baseline. I still can do distracitng techniques to slow him down and set a boundary about smoking in front of me. He did that twice yesterday as we went on our walk. He was just going to throw his cigarette butt into someones yard. I did insist he had to properly dispose of it.
I also watched as he made his own cigarettes. I asked him numerous questions about the process. At least he has to make them instead of just buying them. Although if he bought them at $10 a pack versus the $2 a pack to make them it might slow him down a bit.
After he makes them he then fills a cigarette case. So I can do my own rough baseline now how many times he smokes when I am there . If I see what is in his case I can get an idea too. Seeing the case is a bit trickier. I will just observe for now.
So right now I will work on getting us going for walks as much as possible and getting good food into him. If left to himself he would go out at every opportunity. I have been cooking for him and I think that is helping him too.1 -
Joining the happy parade - although Levi looks like he's not too sure. He and his daddy are sitting in the Camaro his daddy's rebuilding.

My Aunt doesn’t like the word COVID-19 or Phemonia so she lumping my Aunts previous phemonia y COVID-19 together with the word she finds more desirable. She’s released negative now into hospice care at home but isn’t expected to survive this still. She also doesn’t like the words died, die, death, etc so it’s dressed up with a bow. I’m more say it like it is!12 -

I am glad to know I am not the only one not sleeping; although I wish you all could sleep. Sometimes I go to sleep for an hour or two then wake up. Seems like I just can’t settle down. Can’t read due to my eyes and nothing on tv.
Did my first ever on-line grocery order today. We will see how that goes.
I have been cooking a lot trying to “fatten up” my DH who lost 13 pounds while he was sick.
Looking forward to the IHeart concert tonight. Stay safe, stay in touch and know you are loved.

Did Chris Freitage’s Power Hour DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do Les Mills Training Cardio DVD
M – thanks so much for posting that link again. LOL the seagulls. Your experience would have a life-long effect on me, too.
Well, I didn’t go to SC today. The thing that made me think twice was the fact that there was a stay at home order in one of the counties that I need to drive thru and I think another county in SC. I don’t know just how serious they can be. I don’t have any desire to have a misdemeanor on my record and a jail term. Plus Vince (and Jess, though she won’t admit it) were worried about me. Also, there seems to be a problem with the pump to the pool, air is getting in. Vince wanted me to help him try out a few things.
Dropped off these soda lids for this one lady. The school uses them. I just left them on her porch. Then off to Aldi, I really thought my list for there was longer so I went to WM. Then home. Am making yogurt right now and I think I’ll use it for pops (the yogurt and OJ concentrate.) I know Jess likes the pops and so do I. Totally forgot to get Gatorade for Vince so had to stop at Food Lion.
I tell you, my hands are getting so dry from washing them that I’ve started keeping some hand lotion next to the antibacterial soap
Kylia- same here about the breadmaker. I hadn’t used mine in like 10 years so I sold it. Now I’m sorry I did
Bought a bag of chocolate chip cookies. Jess won’t eat the homemade ones, only the store-bought ones. Personally, I’d rather the homemade ones, at least you know that decent ingredients went into them
Haven’t heard from Rori in a bit. Hope everything’s OK by her
Luci – thank you for that lovely pic
Amber – I’m so so very sorry. It’s good that they notified you.
Vince is still trying to figure out how air is getting into the pump. To be honest, I wish he’d call a pool company. They probably have the equipment. But he’s of the opinion that he wants to do things himself, he doesn’t want to call them and pay like $75 an hour to do what he can do. I think if they would do it faster.
As far as that money that Lisa was talking about, Vince asked me the other day if we were to get it, could he buy a new TV. I told him only if we can get some of the landscaping done. I know that he wants to do it himself, but I also know that it would take forever and probably wouldn’t look that great.

"Foster fail"?
Beautiful kitty!

Machka Richmond Animal League's foster volunteers are not allowed to have their own indoor pets except in service animal situations. If you are a foster family, you give up all the kitties or doggies when they are adopted, and then you get more animals to foster as soon as there is a need. This kitty was a "foster fail" because they just couldn't give him up. Now they can't foster any more animals. But they have the best audacious purrmonster fetcher leash-loving gregarious kitty I have ever seen. Your boy Rhody sounds as if he has similar personality traits.

I love the Aunt E's Stove story.
I saw my son yesterday. We did a safe garage exchange - frozen dumplings for eggs. He said Grandpa has been 'much better' about staying home this last week after Grandpa got surprised when his favorite restaurant temporarily closed. Son gently took him to task for grousing about it and told his dad he was glad the restaurant was closed. Got a text from Grandpa yesterday saying he was already sick of his own cooking. https://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/eat/t1959.gif

Carol I am ready to get into a new routine, too. I can keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Got to get on with my new life. Just have to figure out how to cope with Grandchild Withdrawal Syndrome. Figuring out Google Hangouts. Seems pretty easy.

Lisa I tend to be an Eeyore. Goal in taking "The Science of Well-Being" course is to become more Tigger-ish. I am braver than I think and stronger than I feel.

Kim Glad your wait on the phone paid off! And that you didn't get cut off or transferred.

bananas I kinda get how your retiring friend feels. After almost 30 years with one company, I'll be going out with a whimper instead of a bang.

Heather I hope Saga comes through for you. I am glad they called. I would still put it in writing as a follow up letter to today's phone call, so Saga's records don't mysteriously reflect that you agreed to a voucher on March 29, 2020.

Had a NSV today.. My plan for my meal was to heat up the last of my roast chicken I had in the freezer. I would say its less than 4 ozs worth, so I got out some steak bits from a meal I fixed for the guys earlier in the week. So my plan was to make the chicken spicy with some taco seasoning for two tacos. And then the steak bits also about 4 ozs worth, I would fry them up with taco seasoning and put in a burrito. I cut lettuce and mixed diced tomatoes and onions in both meats. Well what surprised me is when I got to the point of eating the tacos, I told Lee he could have the burrito. I hadn't made it yet, so I am actually listening to my body and stopping before I am too full. I had cut about 2 cups worth of lettuce, and I put some Kraft ranch dressing to mimic sour cream in my tacos. I opened my eating window with yogurt and walnuts before I chowed on the tacos. Last night as I was saying goodnight to eldest son I spied him eating some spicy curly Fritos kind of wonderful, so I asked him to save me a handful. Normally I would have eaten a handful as I saw them, but I was 6 hours into my fasting window, so I didn't. Little behavioural changes, all nice. Then I rested for 30 minutes processing good food. After 20 hours eating makes me still a bit tired, but it passed fairly quickly, and I have my second wind. I decided on a nice hot shower, and shaved. Normally I wouldn't bother because that long in a shower makes me lightheaded, but not anymore. Last week I put my hair in low ponytails by my ears and cut ✂✂✂ them off!! Now I have a nice bob, and even though the back is a bit messy, I like it. Whenever the salons DO ever open up I will get around my ears and neck area cut short. Anywhoooo hope everyone is having a nice weekend.💖

meant to say I can't keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I don't understand why I am unable to edit some of my posts.4 -
Rebecca Your hair is wonderful. No matter what you do with it, it's thick and full of body. That bob frames your beautiful face wonderfully. BTW, I think Athena looks an awful lot like you.
Nice NSV. You are rocking OMAD.

Just popped in to say hi.
Coping fine, and staying home isn't that bad, as the weather is fine at the moment.

Thanks! I had been watching a LOT of hair cutting videos. There's a moment of "ah jeez there's no going back now"! I hope sometime this summer we'll be able to travel down to visit with son, wife and sweet Athena.💖
