@Snowflake1964 I would be so stressed out in your job right now. I give you much credit for the important job you do keeping our elders safe! Sending you hugs and love, my friend!
@teigansdad Congratulations on hitting your goal weight! You kicked *kitten*! Nice!
@clicketykeys What an awesome compliment your student gave you! I can remember the teachers who had an impact in my life still, and I'm 60 years old! Happy belated birthday!
@maryrobinson40 I often wonder if you realize how beautiful you are! Not only when I look at your picture do I see a beautiful woman with kind eyes, but those eyes are a window into a beautiful soul! You make a difference to so many people's days. I just hope you know that! I love you my sister....
I know there were more people I wanted to reply to by I didn't write it down so just know I think of you daily and love you all.
My husband, brother and mom got here late Thursday night and my brother went back home on Friday. He lives in Minnesota so still had almost a day's ride ahead of him. In the meantime, we have a 26' Uhaul truck with another 12'x6' trailer packed to the ceiling to unload. My kids had originally planned to help us unload, but with this stupid COVID-19 *kitten*, none of them are able to help...one son has a high risk girlfriend and is in lockdown so as to not bring anything to her. My other son is plant manager at a pallet factory and they are so busy right now that they have all kinds of temporary help coming in daily and the help are NOT clean people--it's just the nature of the work--spitting on the ground, everyone grabbing nails out of the same bins, etc. He is so afraid of spreading something to his family that at the end of the day he strips down at his back door before going in the house, throws his clothes immediately into the washing machine and goes straight to the shower before even going near anyone. He is afraid to come help us because he could very easily be a carrier and he doesn't want to be responsible for getting me, Tim or my mom possibly critically ill. My daughter, well....she's up north at their cottage hunkering down with her boyfriend who is immunocompromsed also. So the truck has sat for 3 days now and has to be returned tomorrow empty. It's very stressful. We're picking away at things a bit at a time but I don't know if we will be able to do the final push and get the big heavy stuff today or not. If you are the praying kind, we could use a prayer right about now so we don't hurt ourselves, get sick and for successful offloading!
Just for Sunday- Journal every bite
- Drink a ton of water!
- Be patient. Be kind. Don't snap out of frustration.
- Look for positives and be grateful. No not dwell on negatives
- Find time for self care today
- Remember to take time to breathe.
- Lymphatic massage tonight
WOTY: Persisence
Peace and blessings to everyone! Stay well my friends!

JFT Goals for Sunday, March 29, 2020
Log everything today
Be mindful of everything I eat or drink
Back after a very long absence and back to my old starting weight. Realized I was letting this pandemic give me the perfect excuse for eating my way thru every day. So with a mental slap upside the head, I decided I need to get back to eating healthy to stay healthy.
One change from "before", is that my 26 year old granddaughter is now living with me and she stockpiles cheese, chips, cookies, etc ... all stuff that it's difficult for me to resist. When I was alone, I could buy only the "good stuff" for 2-3 days so there was nothing to cheat with in the house. That's not the case now so it's going to be much more challenging.
Baby steps, I guess. Eat better, log everything, drink water! Be mindful of everything. Baby steps for now.5 -

Thinking of you all in these strange and difficult times. Sometimes I think my daily goals are silly but other times I appreciate that they are a routine in these uncertain times. I guess we can only keep plodding away and doing our best 😊. Hugs!5 -

- Spend time with Matt
- Read one chapter Actually read 4 before bed. Lol. I wasn't sure about this book but last night's chapters sucked me in!
- Write one chapter Just couldn't get into it.
So every April, July, and November there are NaNoWrMos which stand for National Novel Writing Months. April starts it off for the new year and my friend does them pretty religiously every year. She convinced me to join her this month because they have an option for an editing word count instead of a writing word count. The problem is as of last night I still have 5 chapters left to write before I could type those two magic words (The End). So I would need to pound out those 5 chapters before 4/1. Well, this morning I wrote one almost as soon as I woke up. After I post my goals for the day I am going to write another one. So I'll have three days to write three more. Then I'll be all set! So let's see if I can do this!
That's literally the only thing that's been happening in my life that's of any importance. Matt started talking to a former friend of his, who he got mad at a few months ago, again. They've been playing video games a lot the last few days. But the times that they aren't playing we have been listening to a podcast that we really like, trying to get caught up to the current episode. I think we still have about 100 episodes to go. I'm hoping that we can reach it by the time the quarantine is over.
Okay, anyway, here are my goals for the day.
JFT, 3/29/20
- Cook taco stuff for dinner
- Write at least 1 more chapter
- Read at least 1 chapter
- Unload the dishwasher
It is pretty late in the day to post these but they're simple so I can probably get them all finished before bed tonight.4 -
Keep busy and productive.
For all those essential workers still going out there....

Thank you @PackerFanInGB ... I love you too and I love all of you my beautiful sisters and handsome brothers.
At first it nagged at me that the brothers of this family don't chat with me. Then I thought... Well maybe because of the cultural language thing when I said I love my brothers that perhaps the guys thought I meant "African American" only. Then ... LMBO I got over myself altogether.😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 SOMETIMES the mind can take me to strange places. No one cares about those things in THIS group. I say brothers and sisters because we're all of the human race and I love you and care for you as I love myself. My hopes are that every goal set and every challenge taken will be achieved to the fullest.
I'm absolutely thrilled at how many join and can't help but stay because of the goodness, support, positivity, and acceptance that's found here. The pull and push= " COME ON YOU CAN DO IT! YOU'VE GOT THIS! WE'RE HERE FOR YOU!" DON'T GIVE UP... All of the beautiful encouragement any person that chooses to can want.
😀😍❤❤❤❤ I LOVE JFT FAMILY TEAM!!!

My granddaughter is struggling with this whole self isolation thing. She misses coming to visit, she misses pre school and she misses grocery shopping with her daddy. She actually ended up peeing her pants this week twice. 😓. My daughter posted this today and it made me cry. We FaceTimed and it was ok, it’s just not the same.

Almost a clean sweep of my goals, yay! Quiet, productive day again. Went out for a drive in the mountains. Figured we couldn’t infect or get infected if we stuck to our car (and drive carefully to avoid accidents). Was nice to see tall green trees. A colleague reminded me that my plants haven’t had water for a long time now (at least 10 days, honestly I can’t remember...might be 2 full weeks). I may need to go grab them and bring them home tomorrow night. No time during the day—10 hours of video calls scheduled. They keep talking about “work slowing down” and “people not having enough to do”—I don’t see that happening for at least 6 weeks! Sure hope we can consider getting back in the office in 6 weeks. Doubt it will be sooner...
🙏Thank you to all who are on the front lines of this. The rest of us will do our part to support you, to get you the supplies you need, and to stay away from each other!🙏

Monday.... ugh.
Well yesterday went well.. from a goal standpoint. All met. Had two bad workouts. Not sure if fatigue, or calorie deficit catching up. Sleep for the last three nights has sucked. As I was tossing and turning I realized the common denominator was that I did drink some beer. Stayed within 1-2 each night but maybe that’s enough?
Monday goals
400-500 calories in green. No more than that
Drink more water
No beer or booze tonight.. even though I’m planning on grilling chicken tonight and y’all know thoughts about grilling and beer
(Gotta get some good sleep)
Easy sufferfest.. push back the hard efforts need to recover legs

Oh poor little girl!
I hope she's starts to cheer up soon!! What're they doing about the schools and preschool s over there?
Our schools are sending work via google classroom and they're doing it for Marley too (but her preschool is attached to the school). Marleys teacher has posted videos of baking and reading stories and posted some work for her to practice writing her name. And we can post them back. Her new assignment is to sing "Hey Diddle Diddle" and act it out with puppets or draw a picture or just sing it!
And we can post pics/videos back to her teacher.
Marley at the minute is poorly though, she's not been able to do anything. She keeps taking herself to bed and stuff.
But I can imagine that if it's just a stand-alone preschool (not part of a primary school) I can imagine they wouldn't do that sort of thing. I don't known for sure because I didn't manage to get Casey a place before all this kicked off. She's supposed to start in April but Ive not even got her a place yet.

@Snowflake1968 - Awww...I'm sure you miss your sweet girl! My heart goes out to these little ones who have had their lives upended and to their parents and grandparents who can't fix it. My grandsons are struggling too, and I hate that I can't be with them to give them hugs and some TLC. I think that picture captures how a lot of us feel right now. Take care4

JFT Goals for Monday, March 30, 2020
Log everything today
Be mindful of everything I eat or drink
plan to stay with baby steps for the next few days ... way too much "junk" in my kitchen and since I have limited will power my main focus will be to eat it, log it, get rid of what I can. I am starting to do the Leslie Sansone beginner walking video; I can barely get through 10 minutes. So, that's also being incorporated into my baby steps. I'd like to be able to walk outside in warmer weather. I do need to do at least one load of laundry which means going downstairs. Still need to be careful on stairs with the bit of virtigo I have. OK ... time to get busy!

- Journal every bite I didn't yet, but will after I post my goals. I remember everything I ate!
- Drink a ton of water! Well, maybe not the WHOLE ton, but a lot...
- Be patient. Be kind. Don't snap out of frustration. I tried. I really did. May have gotten snarky a few times though while we were unloading mom's UHaul and moving stuff into the house.
- Look for positives and be grateful. Do not dwell on negatives.
- Find time for self care today
- Remember to take time to breathe.
- Lymphatic massage tonight Also wore my compression sleeve and glove all day and my arm feels much better today.
We got mom's UHaul and 12x6 trailer unloaded yesterday, got all the furniture in the house and put tables, dressers, etc., together and moved all the boxes into the appropriate rooms or into garage for future sorting. Was a busy day and I didn't take the time to journal my food, but I didn't eat much so will do it now. I hit my step goal by not even leaving mom's house yesterday too!
Today is Day 3 on a new medication one of my physicians started me on for weight loss. It is to jump start my metabolism because she thinks my lack of hormones from anti-cancer meds is partly to blame for my body not burning calories as it should. It's not something I wanted to have to do, but I really need to get healthy because my glucose numbers are rising and my cholesterol numbers need help too. The med actually suppresses my appetite and revs my metabolism and on Day 3 I've already dropped 3 lbs. That could be from moving so much yesterday and just water weight so the jury is still out...
They've begun talking about furloughing people at our organization, so I'm guessing we will hear more about that this week. I'm not sure if I'll be one of the people furloughed or not at this point but part of me hopes I am because the rest of my team has kids at home and I think my husband and I are better set to weather the storm financially. Plus being considered high risk, I really do not want to leave the house unless absolutely necessary. It might be nice to spend some of this isolation time getting projects done around the house...I've start a list. The longer I'm home, the more stuff I notice to be done.
Just for Today / Monday
1. Journal every bite
2. WATER, LOTS of WATER & decaf tea
3. Lymphatic massage
4. Knee exercises
5. Gentle chair yoga
6. 30 minutes of intentional activity
7. Gratitude Journal / Inspirational Readings

@Bex953172 - this is so hard for the littles, they just don’t understand. Each province here is doing different things, I’ve only kept up with Alberta. K-3 will be doing 5 hours a week of online classes. I’m not sure how that looks or the details because Jonah told me tonight they haven’t received their email package yet. Michaela was in preschool, and they aren’t doing anything. They actually are being refunded their money.
Today was just a rough day, home (car problems again), work (everyone was miserable, residents and staff alike), then home again because Michaela was having a rough day again. I pray tomorrow is better. I wish that Alberta and Canada would just institute Stay at Home orders so we could get this done and over with! People are too selfish and won’t stay home.
I’m not even pretending to have goals or anything right now, I don’t have the energy for it. It was so bad today that I had Wendy’s for lunch and McDonalds for supper.

Peak frustration day. The kind of day that would send me to food though seriously I had no time to pig out if I wanted to! Tomorrow will be another, hoping for relief on Wednesday. It’s just a job. And I have to be very happy I have one as others are losing theirs. Perspective, need to maintain perspective! At least I snatched a walk while I could, and did some strength training. Them pics are epic!!
It's so sad that preschool aren't able to anything! If you'd like I can see what resources or websites have been posted on Marleys class page for activities and you could forward it on for her! If that's something she'd like to do? Maybe keep her occupied to stop her feeling sad x3 -
The last two days have been awful. I didn't realise the clocks went back and yesterday and the day before everything was just so out of time!
Breakfast was so late it was nearly lunch, then it was like okay so we have lunch now? And then Out of no where it was time for the kids to go bed and we hadn't even done dinner yet?
So we made something super quick and got them to bed but then I felt super awake like it was morning!!
And then me and ash didn't get to sleep til 3am!! But I set my alarm for 9 but didn't have to get up til 10 because the kids slept in too! So they must of had a weird day too lol!
It was like having 12 jet lag .. because of one hour lmao!!
Hope everyone is well!!

Giving myself an F for monday.
Monday goals
400-500 calories in green. No more than that❌
Drink more water❌
No beer or booze tonight.. even though I’m planning on grilling chicken tonight and y’all know thoughts about grilling and beer
(Gotta get some good sleep)✅
Easy sufferfest.. push back the hard efforts need to recover legs✅❌
Went over calories (darn my wife’s potato salad)... I probably could have at least come out in green but I got 1/2 hr into a easy workout and I just had to stop. Felt dizzy...weak and just didn’t have it... dissecting this I’ve seen it coming. Last weekend I had to stop on the trainer as well.. but still went out after and rode outdoors. I think the biggest part is sleep but also think work stress and over training an issue. I think it’s time to back off the trainer for a few days and focus on recovery so I don’t dig myself into a hole. Already last night after I got upstairs from my “failed” training episode I went right for my wife’s homemade banana bread... had two servings... then two butterfinger minis. Luckily Sara was there and kinda kindly pointed out I was being self destructive.
Sorry for rambling.
Tuesday goals
Stay green even if just one calorie
No banana bread I think it might be a gate-way food 🤔
No beer or booze
No trainer today
P90 workout

@PackerFanInGB - glad your mom’s moving is done. You must be exhausted!
@teigansdad -“gateway food” is a good term. I’m going to start using it. 😆

Yesterday was a weird day. I went to the grocery store at 7:30 and by the time everything was cleaned and stored away it was 12:00! I was paranoid about everything that came into the house. I disinfected everything that had to go in the fridge. Any pantry item, I took to the basement to sit for the next 3 days. I’ve read that the virus can last that long on cardboard. I immediately put my clothes in the wash and took a shower. Is anyone else taking these precautions or am I just paranoid?? At least I have everything I need for a while and won’t be leaving the house again anytime soon.
JFT TUESDAY:
- Log food
- Stay green
- Homeschool
- Laundry
- Dishes
- Finish my yearbook page
- Exercise
- Set up zoom dance class for E
Bunny challenge: 10k steps in nice weather or an indoor workout when I can’t get outside

You're lucky she pointed out you were being self destructive lol my partner joins in on the snacks!!
I think the other day in bed we managed to both scoff down a big bag of share crisps, a big bar of mint aero, a bag of chocolate pretzels and a bag of sweets lol!!!

Lmfao! I love your totally OTT shopping/cleaning trip! And I will admit, yes, it does sound crazy.
However, have you seen them people who have bought massive bunkers that are like fully equipped in case of apocalypses or WW3? Like they've had them for years. Well I used to think they were crazy.
But guess who's not getting coronavirus lmao!!
So I bet they're the ones laughing at the world now lol!!
So crazy cleaning or not, you're keeping safe! So don't worry
If it's makes you feel at ease, then it's worth doing
