@Candyn617 Oh my gosh! Congrats! @Terytha I needed some too....I ordered them online...I have to do that anyway as they still don't carry my size in stores...I didn't go down in cup size but went from a 40 to a 38!
The store I order from shut down their online store too.7 -
Hey everyone! I kind of fell off the end of last month's thread too. Like so many others I am trying to figure out working from home, homeschooling my two young children, and still taking care of myself and not losing my mind.
I haven't weighed myself in a week or so and the last time I did, it wasn't great. I seem to be treading water at best, or swimming upstream at worst.
I start off everyday feeling optimistic and determined not to binge, but the afternoon rolls around and I'm restless, so I eat way too much of some stupid snack as I make the kids a snack tray to eat.
Then I stop logging and just eat whatever for the rest of the day.
That's the bad stuff. The good stuff? Well, there is plenty, actually. I have a treadmill and I've been running on it 4-5x a week. I did yoga 4x last week. I have been avoiding alcohol, which is a total downfall of mine, I only enjoy wine 2 days a week or so.
other good stuff- I still HAVE a job, at least for now, and I can do it from home. I recognize how incredibly fortunate that is and feel grateful everyday. That is one less stress. It might be hard to do my job with my children hollering in the next room and without a dedicated work space at home, but my employer is incredibly tolerant and supportive.
Yesterday I took a stab at making a family schedule- put up a giant white board and everyone put their daily goals on it- what kind of exercise they want to get, what kind of work they will be doing, what chores everyone is responsible for. It worked pretty well! I'm feeling happy about that.
Anyway. I'm going to have a good health day today- treadmill, yoga, food logging, and avoid alcohol. Then I'll be back tomorrow to weigh myself and set April goals.

Hello everyone!
Those are some crazy times we are in atm. But on a positive note, being home everyday means I have no excuse to not cook haha so I’ve been keepi positive by trying out different recipes and new meals.
Last weekend was really tough for me mentally. And I needed up eating pizza Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 🤦🏼♀️ But I can only move forward and both yesterday and today I picked myself up and get back in the kitchen! 💪🏻
I’m hoping to just keep trying my best, and not sabotaging myself. I’d love to loose around 3kg (or about 6lbs) in April just because I think I can do it! 🙌🏻💪🏻

I didn't weigh myself this morning... overslept and was in a rush. I officially weigh on Friday's so I'll just use 3/27 as my April start. I keep a tracker of my month end goal weight and actual and for the 3rd month, my month end goal is 312. I really hope I can hit it finally. Friday was supposed to be a cheat day which turned into an entire crap weekend thanks to my inability to tell the boy "no" to junk food. April, I will do better and that's no fool!

Hello, ladies! I’m new to the group and would love to make new friends! Both on and off of here. Add me and let’s get over this hurdle together!!!! Let’s get this damn bacon off of our backs!!!!
• Age: 26
• CW: 243.4
• GW: 160 even!
❤️ I’ve had 2 kids and am 5 months postpartum. I am ready to snap back into my pre- baby physique!
❤️ Luckily my fiancé and I are stable enough to afford a home gym in our garage so we have a NordickTrackElltiptical, Spinbike, a ton of dumbbells, and a bench with stability balls. Since we’ve been on quarantine, I have been adjusting my relationship with food and now that I have, I’ve incorporated 40 mins of HIIT cardio every morning during my fast (I intermittent fasting as well) and my trainer told me to add in 1 hour of weight training with 4 sets of each workout with exactly 12,10,8,12 reps. So far I’ve lost 3.6lbs but I have a ways to go!
❤️ WE CAN DO THIS!!!
-Message me, I’d love to add some new friends!10 -
Thanks @RavenStCloud for the new thread. I'm so ready for a new month. So many wonderful new and old faces that I'm happy to be on this journey with. For all the new posters feel free to send a friend request.

March ended up being a maintenance month for me. I didn't start out with that intention but along the way feel into place. I think taking the break really helped mentally although in the beginning of realizing that was happening I felt frustrated and angry with myself. Today has been like a I'm a little flower poking through the soil and ready to bloom. I feel lighter, refreshed, and ready to tackle things again. Normally I would have went with 190 for my monthly goal but for my own mental state I going for 192. I know last month I missed a lot by not regularly checking in and only logging but now ya gotta put up with me again lol.
@CupcakeCrusoe I love the idea of a just lose goal for the month and easing up the stress of it all if needed. I hope you have a fabulous month.
@RavenStCloud I know being so far from family is a huge stress for you right now. Do all you can to stay in touch daily with calls, facetime, texts, etc. I think the feelings of not being in control is right in our faces. I mean we really never are in control but at least we can pretend a little better about it. Hugs
@Terytha I know you can change weight class this month. It would be sweet if the pizza/popcorn combo was found to be a magical weight loss key. I would be all over that.
@shalanne The bike rides in such a beautiful place sound wonderful. All that matters is getting around the hurdles whether it be jumping, walking, or crawling under them.
@Candyn617 So happy for you!!! You've have been dedicated to reaching your goal and all the work is paying off. You can't see it but I've got a big for you. Keep moving forward.
@AlexandraFindsHerself1971 Great work on getting close to goal. Your March was a full one with all the house stuff etc so kudos for staying on track. I agree with holding off on house showings for as long as possible. Hopefully it won't be too far out for that and also for all the legal name issues you want done.
@lilann1961 I know weighing may be scary but go ahead and do it. It'll be ok and don't worry about being kind to yourself during this time. Do what you can and that works for you in the now. I think Raven picked an awesome title for the month too.
@kayonaise2 I'm so sorry your boyfriend was hit with virus. I can only imagine how scary and stressful that was for y'all. Taking care of him and keeping you healthy is the most important thing. I hope he is improving. Hugs
@MuttiNM I'm glad your pain is improving. If advil is helping much try naproxen and alternate heat/cold packs. I have sciatica and that combo helps a little on the worst days.
@BrownSugar174 "My goal this month and every month for the rest of my life is to maintain a solid mental state of mind" is awesome goal!!! Hoping we all can be blessed with that one.
@aliciap0116 You can accomplish your bday goal and party hard with an at home Mexican buffet.
@shorepine Your doing so many good positive things. All those will help you stay above water and make it to the end of the pool. As for the late snacking maybe you could hold off when your first meal is. That way you can have room for a snack when the kids get one but not be apt to overeat. Also fix up some of your favorite snacks that work within your calories to have then.
Alright ladies let's tackle this month with strength, kindness, and clarity.
13 -
@bluffgirl67 It's so good to see you back! Thanks for the tip about naproxen and heat/cold packs. I don't have any naproxen in the house but I'll try to get some next time I'm out.3

It is funny how different days can be from one another when there is no routine like going to work. Today I got up and got dressed but ended up reading much of the day. At least I have a series I like now. I did make a great pot roast. I got a new enamel cast iron pot last fall and it worked great. I logged and came here and I even went for a walk. I think I will have upped my water today by the time I go to bed. We are finally going out shopping for groceries tomorrow. I haven't been out for weeks. My husband has gotten a few things we needed but I haven't been out since the beginning of March when we stocked up for 2+ weeks. With left overs it has lasted well. However this time I haven't planned for 2 weeks of meals but we do have some leftovers still and we aren't out of all supplies. I feel more concerned than I did then.
I read all your posts but have only replied to a few. I think I am musing over things right now.
@Candyn617 Congratulations on reaching Onderland!
@Terytha sometimes your body needs to know it isn’t starving and then it lets go of the weight.
@MuttiNM Naproxin/Alieve works well for me for both muscle and arthritis pain or when I have pulled something.
@shorepine I love the whiteboard
@bluffgirl67 what difference a day can make. You do sound like you have a new start.

@mmccloy12, @aliciap0116 and @bluffgirl67 - thank you for the good wishes! He's so much better than he was - he can actually get out of bed for a few hours now. I think it's going to be a long recovery though, and he's lost over 20lbs in 2 weeks.
@shorepine I know that feeling when tracking just seems too hard at some point in the day. It's so often been my downfall. Is there any little reward you can give yourself (even something small and silly like a sticker on a chart or a tick on a to-do list) if you track everything even if you go over the day's calories?
@bluffgirl67 I love your image of being "little flower poking through the soil and ready to bloom". It's such a happy, lovely thought.8 -
Congratulations @pamiede and @Candyn617 ON ONEDERLAND! I'm so proud of your success.
And I'm proud of all of you for showing up and doing this right now.
I'm having a day where I want to eat everything and suddenly my anxiety is out of control.
My mom and dad came over here (!) and caused a whole lot of noise and trying to talk to me while I was trying to telework (!), and let the cat out where he promptly got lost (!) and the baby is screaming and I don't know why (!) and my mom, who decided completely on her own a year ago to move out 3 hours from me, is now having to actually move out there and is already pulling the "we miss you" thing (!).
Like, I get it, mom, follow your dreams of a nicer house, but then please do not guilt me for the logical consequence of your actions. No I will not take two kids under 5 three hours away every weekend. Especially not right now, when you and we both need to be isolating.
And she brought a package of lofthouse cookies and Easter candy, now, when I'm ravenous, and my daughter is singing jingle bells on repeat and I'm just done with today already. The baby screamed through last night (teeth, I think) and I've been working since 4, and after this I relieve my husband for childcare while he works and I just want to nope right out of everything.
I'm going to get off work, take the kids for a walk, and go running later. Today is still salvageable if I stick to my planned dinner.
ETA: I'm sorry, that was such a whine. I did do one thing semi-okay: while I was still ravenous after cookie and candy, I remembered the physiqonomics guy's advice about snacking: if you're hungry and have to eat, pick something with protein or fiber. So I hit up some deli meat.
Thanks for "listening," you guys. Today hasn't been great.20 -
That sucks @CupcakeCrusoe!!! Sounds like madness, you did well on the deli meat. Hope everyone takes it down a notch, it'll happen xx3
-
So I got the first pair of new kicks because it was definitely time..and I love the colors!
This pair I just ordered are for walking because my hubby and I are putting in 20 miles a week now and the extra cushion is wonderful!

I've lost over 3 lbs in 3 days. Needless to say, the form of my anxiety right now is not eating enough.
I'm trying to force down some food at least. Treat myself like the sick: any nutrition in any form is better than nothing.
But it's hard. I don't feel like doing anything. I don't want to eat. I want to crawl into a hole and hide.14 -
@BrownSugar174 I love those Brooks! I wear Brooks myself for running- I went into a running store and got fitted one time and they recommended Brooks for my feet. You are making me want to get a new pair, I could use them as I've been logging a lot of miles lately. That might be a fun purchase for this time.
@bluffgirl67 I'm glad you are back and I too love your analogy of feeling like a little flower poking up through the dirt. It's spring, after all! I hope that feeling sticks and that you feel back in the swing of things. I felt the same way at the end of March, myself.
@CupcakeCrusoe I'm so sorry about your mom descending on you, bringing cookies, and sharing her anxiety about moving away. And not to mention, the baby crying/teething. I hope your day improves. Make sure to get out for that run to clear your head.
7 -
I had a better day yesterday. I did all the things I was going to do- I logged my food, I didn't really binge, I hopped on the treadmill and I did yoga. I also worked from home for 8 hours and still found a little time to spend with my kids after work, we walked down to the mailbox together so I got a little fresh air. Our driveway is a quarter mile long so there and back is a half mile, and it involves a huge hill so although it's a short walk it's power packed.
I weighed myself this morning and it is disappointing to see that I have gained a bit since I last weighed, but it feels good to have taken the plunge by getting on the scale so I can monitor what's going on. The gain could have been worse, really, I have been good about keeping my activity level up.

I'm feeling frustrated and a little sheepish because I was so gung ho last month about making it into the 190's and was on a good track (even weighed in at 200.8), but then well, March happened. And we all know what that has involved. A new month feels fresh and health definitely seems to be a priority right now.

@KeriA I'm glad you are using home time to do things you enjoy like reading. I think waking up and just having an unplanned day is a good thing. Your food plan is normally on point so even without having a couple of weeks listed out I'm sure y'all will have wonderful meals.
@CupcakeCrusoe What a morning you've had. I hope this afternoon is less stressful and you can find calmness during your run. Great job getting the bit of protein in to help with the hunger.
@BrownSugar174 Those are adorable!! You are doing great getting so many miles each week. Keep it up.
@Terytha Sorry your anxiety is so high. Eat high calorie junk if have too. What matters right now is getting enough calories in any form.
Today has been a good one so far. Just finished up my strength training and am happy to report I was able to use my 5lb kettles. I was worried that I would need to drop back down bc it had been awhile and my hand strength stinks.11 -
@CupcakeCrusoe - You have had a day. Deli meat is the perfect substitution for binge inducing food. Good thing your prefrontal cortex managed to seize control of your amygdala for a moment of clarity. Plus Lighthouse cookies are so not worth it. You made the right choice. And Moms... sigh... especially when they act like children. Hang in there!
@bluffgirl67 - Welcome back! I missed you!
@Terytha - (((Hugs)))) I feel that way too sometimes. (except I keep eating).
@shorepine - I'm so proud of you hopping back on the wagon.10 -
So, some of you may have read my intro in the March thread but in case you didn't....
I was in a gnarly head on car wreck Dec 2018 and was in the hospital/rehab til March 2019. I had 22 breaks including both ankles - which are sore every day. Anyway, I signed up for a free 14 days of BeachBody On Demand thinking I'd do the Country Heat workouts.... Has anyone done them? Think my ankles would allow me to do the program? I need to get some moving in at home during this time so any suggestions would be nice.
Also, I'm 5lbs heavier than I was on Friday so I need to get back into better eating while I'm stuck home alone all day, every day14 -
@CupcakeCrusoe I had issues with Halloween last year but had forgotten about Easter. Sorry you had a hard day.
@BrownSugar174 I love Brooks (made in Seattle). I love these.
@shorepine glad you had a good day and I hope a whole month of good days for you
@bluffgirl67 sounds like a good start to the month. You are right I will be fine with what meals I planned - you really have to cook half the meals you need if you make enough for leftovers plus that way we could adjust to what they had and get that.
I tried to check in here a movie ago but I got kicked out and it seemed like MFP was offline. So here I am posting late again. At the end of yesterday I looked on my bullet journal and I realized I had done everything on my list of to do’s. It was a better day than it seemed like. I even sketched my husband who was sleeping on the couch before going to bed.
Well he and I braved the outside world early this morning for Senior shopping hour. I wanted to go to my favorite grocery store but he wanted to go to his. It was not too crowded and we got most of the stuff but not the thing that we went there for instead of COSTCO. It went well then we went where I had wanted to go to get the things we couldn’t get. It was clean and emptier and better stocked since it was still early. I was hungry and tired after we finished.
I had a good day that actually felt like a good day. I even got on my glider for 15 minutes. I figured I might as well get exercise while listening to the Phit n Phat podcast. My water is improving some. So then I took a nap since I had gotten up so early to go to the senior shopping hour. I told my husband to decide which leftover to heat up. He also made a salad to go with it. I have been cooking so much we had 3 choices of leftovers. Tomorrow we will have lamb burgers. I try to stay away from beef. My system doesn’t sluff off iron and lamb actually has less iron than beef or turkey when I checked.
Take care and stay safe all.10 -
Friday weigh in day!
31 years old
5'4"
SW: 207
3/31: 196.2
4/3: 192.6 (-3.6) 😳
March goal weight: <196.2
UGW: 145
GOALS:
💮Lose weight. ✅ Welp that escalated quickly. I finally finally got a half decent night's sleep last night.
💮Move every day. ✅ So much moving. Yesterday I installed a baby seat on the back of my bike so we could all ride, we rode, and then I went running. We've been outside more as a family because of this whole thing.
💮Be kind to myself. ✅ Today I have pre-logged: an enormous smoothie and protein bar, a cheese plate of sorts, and pizza and a cookie. All within calories. I'm very excited. Fingers crossed I don't get super hungry.
Weight loss wise, I'm doing okay all of a sudden! I might even make the 180s this month. But no formal goals, because then that adds pressure to it that I don't need right now.10 -
Ugh, had a real fail of a day yesterday. It was one of those days when I was inexplicably and disproportionately starving. I ended up snacking, then snacking some more, then giving up on tracking altogether, then having a mini binge.
Trying again today. If I can track everything, that will be a success. If I can also avoid getting graze-y or bingey, that will be a victory.15 -
I'm down another pound to 272, which was my goal for last month and, as Boyfriend said, "It's within statistical variation", so I'm good with it. This despite a milkshake last night. (shakes head, laughing) Bodies are crazy.
We're going to have carnitas today. I have a pork shoulder to cook for that. Once I wake up. I always do refrigerator cleanout lunch on Fridays, so I'm not sure what lunch will be but it will be something.
I just really can't believe that I have lost this much weight and that it's so straightforward. I normally buy the smaller bags of cat litter because that easily works out to one bag per box. But all there were were the larger 20 pound bags, and when I picked one up, I really realized, no wonder I feel so much better! That's a lot of weight to not be carrying around any more! Despite everything, my mood is better, too, and I'm even sleeping deeper. I'm really excited and not a little scared to see what another 20 pounds will do for me and how I'll look and feel.
16 -
@kayonaise2 - so sorry to hear about your boyfriend, and glad to see through it all you somehow didn't get it yourself! It really is confounding, trying to figure out who is getting hit hard by the virus and who is not. Hoping for a quick recovery for him. Stay hydrated, keep coughing to get that junk out of his lungs.
@KeriA - I listen to Phit-n-Phat when I'm doing my workout, too! Not the walks or running. For those workouts I really need the music, to keep my body moving while my mind wanders. But I can count reps and listen.
@BrownSugar174 - I love my Brooks sneakers, too. My go-to running shoes are the Brooks Adrenaline GTS. But I also tried the Asics Kayano-Gel, and those are the ones I'm currently wearing for runs. They both have "Guide Rails" technology which helps with overpronation. My knees do much better when I run with either of these models. One of these days I'll get myself fit-tested!
@CupcakeCrusoe - you aren't kidding about the mystery of weight loss. Days you think you'll be up and you're pleasantly surprised. And then the opposite. Good thing that you didn't completely cave to the mom-pressure!
@Terytha - sending hugs to you. I don't know if this will help, but one of the things that helps me is establishing a very basic routine. Something like showering and getting dressed every day. It doesn't sound like much but if you're starting to get down it might keep you from going further. I see some people are excited about working from home in their sleepwear. I know I'm not a person who can sit in PJs all day, not having showered in a few days, and still feel good about myself.
@bluffgirl67 - You had a rough March, that's for sure. All we can do any day is meet ourselves where we are. Some days we can do more than others. I will still always say, in terms of scale and body measurements, maintenance is still work. You hung in there and basically maintained. Whether intentional or not, there is likely something about you that has changed that you could do that today when maybe in the past you would not have. And it's something to be happy about.
A little late to the party, but better late than never! Was quite busy this week, we had a big virtual nurse training day yesterday. Preparing for it was a bit complicated. We compressed a 16-hour in-person training into 4 hours. That's hard for someone like me, since I am a detail-oriented person. It was really really hard!
Height: 5' 6"
SW (09/08/2019): 239.2 lbs
April SW (4/1/20): 172.6 lbs
April GW: 168 lbs
GW: 150 lbs (then reconsider)
I can't not set a goal - another nurse thing! So my goal is to lose 5 pounds. In my heart, I will be happy with a loss of any kind. I've come too far and I am getting too close to my goal weight to treat myself poorly if I don't hit a weight goal. A goal as a target will help keep me on track - the whole, "Shoot for the moon; even if you miss, you land among the stars" idea.
So, other goals:- Keep running, keep increasing distance. Without the pressure of an imminent race, I can advance at a slower rate. I had been planning a half for later in the year. The postponed 10-miler is now scheduled right in the middle of most of the Philadelphia area's half-marathons. I suppose if I train for the half, I'll be ready for the 10-mile run!
- Reinstate a regular core workout - backing down to a goal of twice a week.
- Start doing other strength workouts - lower and upper body - twice a week. Luckily, I have a set of weights up to 12 pounds at home.
- Start organizing my home. Right now it's kind of a disaster. Nothing new, except with the pandemic hoarding I've got stuff crammed everywhere.
- Stay sane, somehow.
- And as always, keep taking care of my skin. Oh, it's so, so horrible.
Thanks as always to @RavenStCloud for setting up the thread. Please stay safe and healthy, everyone!7 -
Gm I hope everyone is healthy and doing well in these uncertain times. I have not been reading or posting for a while. I have only been logging in my exercise and meals. Today I have been reading some of the past posts, and they may have been a misunderstanding, which I need to clarify. I work in a hospital as a Patient Liaison, most of my patients are cancer survivors who needs to come into to the hospital to have tests perform to keep tract of their diseases. I don't work or am I one of those braves souls that works with COVID-19 patients. Therefore, I think it is wrong for people to keep praising me for a job I am not doing. I also wants to thanks those brave Doctors, Nurses, Technicians and back up staff members that are on the front line fighting this battle to keep us safe. My daughter works as a L&D Nurse and they are expectant moms that comes in that are positive for the disease so I think she qualify as one of those brave souls. I pray that God will keep us all safe and healthy in these troubling times. Everyone have a great weekend.

Hi, I've just read through all your posts! And replied to most, but then lost it before posting! So will try again tomorrow. I'm feeling tired, its been 7 days in lockdown, this am I had to go to the shop, I still forgot to buy a few things, which I forgot to put on my list! Have a great weekend!9

I don't know if anybody read what I last wrote in March, that I was barely eating because of my anxiety/depression. But it seems to have helped to have written down what was going on with me. This week I started doing my Zumba again... and I'm eating again. So I think that's the 2 lb increase... I'm pretty sure it's the sodium, so no biggie. Hopefully I don't spiral down again... it's no fun. Anyways... be safe everybody!! :flowerforyou:11 -

@CucakeCrusoe glad you had a better nights sleep and it helped.
@kayonaise I hope today was better
@AlexandraFindsHerself It is so nice to hear how you can really feel the difference.
@mmdeveau You have the goal thing right. We set goals to know where we want to be and they are supposed to be a bit aspirational but they are not supposed to be to beat ourselves up if we don’t make them. Not that I can see that some months we can let them go. But really not gaining/maintenance is a worthy goal at times.
@Curveybaja55 I think anyone working out there and especially in healthcare deserves our thanks. I finally went out to the grocery store yesterday. The cashier was very seriously working and she was older like my husband and I. We finally had her smiling near the end just by making her realize we appreciated what she was doing and when she forgot to add in the coupon we said don’t worry about it. I am appreciative of those staying home. We need to work together and appreciate those who are doing that. However there are some doing very heroic work like your daughter.
@changeforeverlj shoping now is an exhausting task. I was tired all day yesterday afterwards.
@Lasmartchika I think the eating again and Zumba will be good in the end. When you don’t eat enough the metabolism slows down and it takes a while for the exercise and eating right to work.
I made a dish earlier this week that was a go to when I 1st went back to work and it was fast but my daughter loves it. It is healthy in that there is spinach and lean chicken but it also involves pasta and cheese. I have been eating the leftovers for lunch and it makes me hungrier than satisfied. I have some then I have my orange and I am still hungry. Glad that is gone. Today I had what was on my plate left over from last night of the pot roast and that was enough. It was not much but I was fine with that. I had my orange and I was fine. I went for a walk after dinner so that makes 3 nights in a row after not getting any exercise for days. Let’s hope I can keep it up.

Last week I joined TWO-erland 🤩 and achieved my goal of losing 10% of my body weight. I'm really proud of myself and I feel so good! When all this quarantine started I said, "Corona you can have my freedom, but you can't have my weight loss journey." So, I've stuck to logging and, honestly, it is keeping me sane 😜 and helping me see the longer vision! 🙏
☀️APRIL GOALS☀️
. get outside everyday
. stretch my body during the evening news
. isolate physically, but keep in touch socially
. create a vision board for my time of isolation, to help me ADAPT
Have a great month everyone! 💎 We are worth the effort! 💎13
