๐ฎ Hello, ladies!!!๐ฎ
๐ฎ We are continuing to commit to our health, even with everything that's going on in the world. Over the next month, how you care for yourself may change, but the reason behind it will remain the same!
๐ฎ Mental health has always been a large part of weight loss, but in the next few months, it may take a larger role in some of our journeys. We are in an unprecedented time and whatever steps you need to take to make sure you get through this are going to be the right ones for you.
๐ฎThe key word for April is "adapt." Some of us may have to scale our goals back. Some of us may be able to set larger goals than we planned. No matter where you are in your weight loss journey, remember to cut yourself some slack this month. The main goal for everyone in April is to get through it safely!
๐ฎIf you need to take a step back from your usual exercise routine or change up your meal plans, that is one hundred percent okay. If you need to step back from this forum completely, we will see you again whenever you are ready/able to return.
โชIf you've never been here before, please know you are welcome to join at any point in the month. All you have to do is post something, and then BAM!, you're one of us.
โช In this group, we post our weekly and monthly goals and provide support and motivation to each other as we share our triumphs and our struggles. This group is all about accountability.
โช All are welcome and, if you think you belong here, you do! No matter how much you currently weigh or how you measure (or don't measure) your weight, we'd love to hear from you.
โช Victories, both scale and non-scale, are great to hear about, but, conversely, we know that weight loss isn't all sunshine and roses. If you're going through a rough patch, please feel free to be honest and vent your heart out. The struggle is real and we're all here to support each other!

APRIL! Thank you so much, Raven. โค๏ธ
April is going to be a new normal for me. I'm not going to set my goals as loftily as I did last month, as a way of giving myself some grace during this difficult time. This is hard enough without my making it harder.
31 years old
5'4"
SW: 207
CW: 196.2
March goal weight: <196.2
UGW: 145
GOALS:
๐ฎLose weight. Any weight. Be lower on 30th April than 196.2. Use this time to try to get to the bottom of emotional eating. Any resources anyone has in that way are welcome.
๐ฎMove every day. Sometimes that might mean running, sometimes that might mean taking a walk or bike ride with the kids. Sometimes that might mean making extra trips up and down the stairs. Move. Every day.
๐ฎBe kind to myself. If anything weight loss related is stressing me out, this is permission to do whatever I need to do not to stress about it. If that means weighing in less often or eating more often at maintenance, so be it.
Have a safe and healthy April, everyone! I'm rooting for all of you. ๐ฎโค๏ธ๐ฎโค๏ธ๐ฎ19 -
Thank you @RavenStCloud for starting the new thread! I am proud to say I have followed since September and I truly believe finding this lovely group of ladies has kept me going and inspired! Looking forward to the new month with you all! March was a tough month! Will post new stats in the morning! Have a great day ladies!! Hugs!! ๐15

My goals for the first week of April are going to be pretty simple. I'm setting the bar low because I need to get back on the horse and I'm hoping some easy victories will help get some of my mojo back.
1. Record all my food
2. Cut out foods that may be contributing to acid reflux
3. 30 mins of exercise everyday/leave my apartment at least once a day
The last two weeks have been rough, I have to admit. I'm half a world away from my family and, while I am a little worried for myself, I'm mainly worried for them. This has put me in a bit of a funk and led me back into some unhealthy eating habits. But it's time to concentrate on what I can control, and what I can't. So this month I'm choosing to be kinder to myself and my body.22 -
Hi ladies I'm new to this group and would love to add some friends ๐

My goals for this month are pretty simple
1. Work out at LEAST 3 days a week.
2. Move more, stand instead of sitting or just get up and walk around for a few minutes.
3. Log EVERYTHING
4. See a steady weight loss of any amount from week to week.
Good luck to everyone, stay motivated we got this๐๐ช๐16 -
Hi everyone! Here's hoping for a better April. March was... well, it was a yikes from me.
Quick intro:
Name: Amber
Height: 5'6
Age: 32
SW: 276
GW: 150
CW: 191 (I love those even numbers, so satisfying.)
I wanted to hit 190 by the end of March but alas, I plateaued. I'm gonna try pushing myself a bit in April though because there's a waypoint I really want to hit.
April GW: 185
Which would put me at an overweight BMI for the first time since I was too young to drink legally. XD
Some other goals:
- Drink more water
- Do some kind of exercise, even if it's only for 15 minutes, 3 times a week. I miss the gym.
- Try to move more generally. My back hurts since my home office is just my couch.14 -
Height: 5'7"
Highest Weight: 254
End of December Weight: 246.7
End of January Weight: 244.7
End of Feb. Weight: 242.2
End of March Weight: 240
April Goal Weight: 235
Overall Goal Weight: 165
Joining in for another month! This month will be one of my busiest at work (along with May) so I will be getting more exercise in each day. If I stick to eating well, I should be able to drop 5 lbs this month despite my trend being closer to 2 or 2.5lbs the past few months. If I don't meet that goal, it's not the end of the world though. My main goal is to stay healthy this month and try to keep my anxiety levels in check.
Happy to have this group and I know we will get through these trying times with each other's support!12 -

April goal weight - 249
I have no excuses this month. Iโm a teacher and doing distant learning that is all made by my district. My husband has a federal job and is home until mid May. We have all the time in the world right now to exercise, meal prep, and focus on getting healthy!
April Goals
Exercise at least 30min a day
Meal plan
Get my kids involved with exercise - we all got bikes yesterday so I see many bike rides in the future.17 -
Height- 5โ 5.5โ
SW: 260
CW: 234.8
GW: 125-140 I will be reassessing once I hit 140 and go from there.
April goal weight: 225, letโs see how that goes though!
Iโm a stay at home mom, so I really have no excuse ever, but I find it difficult to workout with my kids bothering me.
April goals:
1) workout at least 3 times a week for at least an hour a day, hopefully up to 5 days by the end of April
2) focus on loging food
3) make healthier decisions and stay away from junk food, because it is my weakness.
4) start using my bullet journal
5) work on a low carb meal plan and snacks.12 -

Goals for April:- Lose 100 pounds from Starting weight - get below 186.5

- Get comfortable with a 5 mile run
- Increase highest mileage to 8 miles
- Accurately log my food
- Stay well

Age 46
SW: 250 (End of December 2019)
End of January: 243.2 lbs
End of February: 236.2 lbs
End of March: 228.8 lbs
1st GW: 200lbs for a London trip at the end of July
April Goals:- Walk for at least 30-60mins a day
- Get my bike dusted off and go for a ride on the weekends
- Food pep lunches for the weekends, not just work days
My biggest hurdle is exercise at this point. I was doing cardio and lifting weights 5 days a week, and now I am doing nothing. I love to walk, but I get shin splints pretty badly when not on a treadmill with shock absorption. Perhaps its time to get the old bike out and fixed up for a bike ride. We live very close to orchards, farm lands, and a river. I bet it would be a beautiful ride. And my last goal is so that I have lunches ready on the weekends. I prep for the work week, but have nothing I feel like I can eat on the weekends, so I just don't eat.
I feel like my goals are a bit of a step back from where I was in the beginning of March, but its ok. Still moving forward regardless of the hurdles that I am presented with.11 -

Iโm not settling a lofty goal because I recognize my weight loss has slowed as I approach my goal. I was losing 10 lbs/month. Now itโs more like 5 lbs a month. And thatโs ok as long as Iโm losing.
My fitness goals for April are to contact walking 2X a day. By the end of the month, I hope to increase the distance to 4 miles/day.16 -

Iโm so glad thereโs a new April group to follow on from last month, thank you Raven for setting this up. This group has been my saving grace by keeping me accountable and by seeing everyoneโs progress and challenges it helps to keep me motivated.
Goals for April:
- Iโve planned out a weekly workout routine that I hope to stick to. 3 days of running on the treadmill and a HITT session and on the other 3 alternate days a 45 minute Tae Bo session. Since starting my journey Iโd been doing the Lesley Sansone videos and they helped heaps but Iโve reached a point where I feel I need something a bit more challenging.
- Need to try to move more. I do 10,000 steps daily (sometimes a bit less). Itโs hard with a 6 month old baby who I bottle feed and likes to be held to sleep. But I will try to move more each day.
This month will be challenging for us all but weโve got this! We can do it!9 -

CW: 257.6
GW: Onderland 1st, maintain for a few weeks then 150 lbs.
April Goal weight: 252
My April Goals are:
1. Get enough sleep and improve water intake
2. Log weight, food and exercise and stay under calorie goal
3. Get close to lower 250s this means my highs and lows get and stay below 255
4. Get some exercise 6 days a week and up NEAT clean
5. Make healthy foods at home
I post weight when I have a new low. I am happy with my March loss at 1 lb per week. If I could keep losing an average of a pound a week I would be fine with that. However I am going to set my goal to 5 pounds each month.10 -

I just started doing this. Actually I used to do something similar before bullet journals were called that when I was an artist I used my journal for everything. Sketching, scheduling, to do lists, shopping lists etc. Now I am doing this online. I used today to set April up.

Height 5'5"
Weight 209
April goals:
Quit eating like there's no tomorrow.
Exercise a little every day.
Stay clean.
Adapt to using the food in the house rather than my special "diet" foods. This might be a good time for me to learn that I can eat anything if it is in moderation.

Happy April 1st Ladies!! I am standing here in my bathroom with tears running down my face, tears of joy!! I stepped on my scale for Day 1 weigh in and I am officially in Onderland!! Its probably been 15 years since I have seen any number that started with a 1!! I stepped on my scale 4 times just to make sure the number was real. Here are my stats:
Sw: 288 (mid April 2019)

Gw: 144? TBD.
4/1: 198.2

My goals are basically the same, log every meal, every bite or sip every day. Move more and get my water in! Have a wonderful day ladies! ๐23 -
@Candyn617 That's awesome! Well done! What a great way to start off April! Congrats on all your hard work!!! ๐๐๐9

Age: 47
Height: 5'7โ
Starting weight: 296 (1/1/20)
Current weight 273
March goals:
Weight down to 272 by April 1. Eh, I'll take it. I'll probably go down tomorrow or the following day. Close enough. [
Gym four days a week Well, I can't do THAT thanks to COVID-19.
Full yoga routine daily at home I've been managing that about half the time. I really need to work out a good time in my day to do it, because I don't quite have one currently
Fit into the size 16's, XL shirts, and XL pants by the end of the month! Done! I'm still able to wear the 18's, so I'm wearing them out around the house and hitching them back up a lot, lol. I need to get another pair of 16 jeans. I'm not quite into the shirts; they fit, but they're a little more bodycon around my muffin top than I'm mentally
comfortable with, so they're still not quite in circulation yet.
April goals:
Weight down to 264. I shouldn't have a problem with this, really. I just eat right and drink a lot of water and it does what it's supposed to. It also helps that I'm in a nice feedback loop where I feel better as I lose, so I move more and do more, and thus lose more.
Full yoga routine daily at home
Bodyweight routine if not able to gym. This falls under the same issue as yoga; I think once I work out WHEN to do it it won't be a problem.
Obtain size 14 jeans to have available for the next drop. Fortunately yoga pants fit through two sizes. And maybe by the time I have to get new yoga pants I can go out and shop for them!
In other goals, we've tabled the showing of the house/open houses until the stay in place orders lift. Yes, real estate counts as an essential industry, but the last thing we need is for someone with any sort of respiratory ick to come into our house to see it, who walks into Girlfriend's bedroom (Girlfriend has asthma and COPD) and sneezes on her desktop. So we're going to wait til the end of the month and see where things are. I don't really mind, as I have touchup painting to do and I will do a better job if I don't feel rushed. I have the house pretty well staged, and it makes us all happy to live in a clean, pretty house, so it is okay the way things are.
Admittedly, I'm not THRILLED with the fact that I have a benign tumor in my neck that's not going to get removed any time soon. And we've been talking about marriage, for reasons of legal protection and medical decision-making (he is terribly scared about his mental health), and of course the courthouse is shut down for the duration. I also had some legal name change stuff that I wanted to do before we got married, and I can't really start on that either, beyond asking the lawyer to prepare the documents for submission when the court opens. (Alexandra is not my legal first name. I want it to be, and I want to legally be Alexandra when I marry Boyfriend. I'm not getting rid of the others, just tacking Alexandra on the front.)

It wouldn't let me edit my post so I will just add that I have lost 30% of my starting body weight! When I started my journey last April I would have never dreamed this was possible. The overall number I have to lose was (and still is) overwhelming that I have to focus on small goals. On to the next 10%. Have a great day!!16
-
I ate half a pizza with half a bag of popcorn for lunch yesterday and dropped 1.2 lbs overnight.
I will never understand weight loss. :0
But well, guess I'm actually starting April at 189.8. I'm soooooo close to 185. And I badly, desperately need bras but every store is closed. Go figure.14 -
I am in for the month, but April is going to be exactly the title of the thread...adapting. I am struggling a bit trying to juggle working from home and ensuring the kids are learning. I have already found myself eating more. It isn't bad food, but the snacks have less time in between.
I am terrified to weigh myself, so hoping to at least get my water intake up to where it should be and ensure I am standing and walking "somewhere" each hour. Gonna be a long month, but I am grateful my family is healthy and I have a job that allows me to work from home.14 -
Hi all! Sorry I fell off the thread last month, as Iโm sure everyone can relate to right now, life got a little crazy. My schooling is all online as well as working from home. The step-kids are out of school, so itโs been a balancing act trying to figure school, work, and family out at the moment. I emotionally ate more than I wanted to in March, but Iโm not beating myself up. No one couldโve prepared us for the way life is right now, but Iโm ready to get back on track!
SW: 272
CW: 242
GW: just out of the 200s first
April Goals
*I love what @CupcakeCrusoe said, I just want to be lower than 242. Thatโs the goal weight for April
*move EVERY day. I am home literally all day, I have so much time, thereโs absolutely no reason I canโt get movement in.
*complete 30 Day Shred...I ordered it so I have something to follow. I need structure when I workout, so I hope this helps.
*drink more water!
12 -
It feels good to start a new month! The second half of March was spent caring for and fretting over my very sick boyfriend - he's a healthy 30 year old, but coronavirus has hit him hard. As a result all excercise and tracking went out the window but I lost more than 5lbs through sheer anxiety!
My numbers and goals for April:
I'm 5'3
SW: 15st 4.5 / 214.5lbs
CW: 14st 8.8 / 204.8lbs
GW for this month: 14st 6.8 / 202.8
GW for this year: 13st 5 / 187lbs (or as close to it as I can manage)
Final GW: 10 st / 140lbs
- Establish a new exercise routine, now there can be no swimming or dance class. I'm thinking more running and a more serious commitment to yoga.
- Get back into the tracking habit, and once I've done that, stick under my calories on a regular basis.15 -
Congratulations @pamiede and @Candyn617 on reaching onederland! What a terrific accomplishment for each of you!8
-
@Candyn617 Oh my gosh! Congrats! @Terytha I needed some too....I ordered them online...I have to do that anyway as they still don't carry my size in stores...I didn't go down in cup size but went from a 40 to a 38!4

@kayonaise2 prayers for your boyfriend to recover. What a scary thing to go through. Hope you are safe as well.6

Weigh-in Wednesday
Highest weight: 435 (11/1/18)--lost 50 lbs. by the end of 2018 but got off track and gained back almost 31 lbs.

April GW: 254.2
GW: 160 (then reevaluate)
Weekly exercise goals:
- exercise bike 5 times per week - 5/5; the times were shorter than in the past due to the pain in my right leg
- short walking videos twice a day 5 times per week - 5/5
- strength training 2 times per week - 2/2 (upper body only; didn't do lower body/legs this week)
- chair yoga 3 times per week - 3/3; added a new exercise this past week
The pain in my right leg that started 2 weeks ago Monday continued through this week. It seems like it's continuing to get better. I eased back into the exercise bike, starting with just 5 min., then 15, and then at 20 min. for a few days. Before this I usually did 40 min., sometimes up to 60 min. Today I'm going to see how a 30 min. ride feels. If that is okay, I'll stay there for a few days and then try 40 min. again. I didn't do the leg weight exercises just because I was being cautious. I probably could have done them after warming up a bit. I'm not sure if I'll attempt them this week or not.
@speyerj You mentioned taking Advil for the leg pain. I tried that but it did nothing for this particular pain. It's not in the muscle or joint so I'm not sure what it is. I've never had a pain like this before. Maybe a nerve thing or something else? As I mentioned last week, it currently goes away after walking for a bit so that's kind of weird but I'm grateful it currently doesn't hurt all the time and I can still get some movement in.
Hope we all get through April safely and without going stir-crazy!

Just a few comments; work has been busy this week!
@kayonaise2 sending prayers and hugs your way. I hope your boyfriend recovers quickly and that you stay healthy.
@Candyn617 congrats on making it into Onederland and losing 30% of your starting weight!! So inspiring; I am proud of you.
@KeriA I just love that you are using this uncertain time to get back to basics and doing what has worked for you the past.
@mmdevaux regarding your post on the March thread - thank you for sharing how you are feeling. It is completely natural and I would be disappointed as well. We are all human and adjusting to our new reality. And tell the guy at the gym you missed seeing him the next time you run into him. It wouldn't be too forward under these crazy circumstances and could give him the courage he needs for the next step!
@RavenStCloud thank you again for setting up this amazing community for us. I am grateful you are safer now even though you are worried about family. I wish our government had done more, earlier, to manage this crisis.6
