I am in for the month, but April is going to be exactly the title of the thread...adapting. I am struggling a bit trying to juggle working from home and ensuring the kids are learning. I have already found myself eating more. It isn't bad food, but the snacks have less time in between.
I am terrified to weigh myself, so hoping to at least get my water intake up to where it should be and ensure I am standing and walking "somewhere" each hour. Gonna be a long month, but I am grateful my family is healthy and I have a job that allows me to work from home.14 -
Hi all! Sorry I fell off the thread last month, as I’m sure everyone can relate to right now, life got a little crazy. My schooling is all online as well as working from home. The step-kids are out of school, so it’s been a balancing act trying to figure school, work, and family out at the moment. I emotionally ate more than I wanted to in March, but I’m not beating myself up. No one could’ve prepared us for the way life is right now, but I’m ready to get back on track!

April Goals
*I love what @CupcakeCrusoe said, I just want to be lower than 242. That’s the goal weight for April
*move EVERY day. I am home literally all day, I have so much time, there’s absolutely no reason I can’t get movement in.
*complete 30 Day Shred...I ordered it so I have something to follow. I need structure when I workout, so I hope this helps.
*drink more water!

It feels good to start a new month! The second half of March was spent caring for and fretting over my very sick boyfriend - he's a healthy 30 year old, but coronavirus has hit him hard. As a result all excercise and tracking went out the window but I lost more than 5lbs through sheer anxiety!
My numbers and goals for April:
I'm 5'3
SW: 15st 4.5 / 214.5lbs
CW: 14st 8.8 / 204.8lbs
GW for this month: 14st 6.8 / 202.8
GW for this year: 13st 5 / 187lbs (or as close to it as I can manage)
Final GW: 10 st / 140lbs
- Establish a new exercise routine, now there can be no swimming or dance class. I'm thinking more running and a more serious commitment to yoga.
- Get back into the tracking habit, and once I've done that, stick under my calories on a regular basis.15 -
Congratulations @pamiede and @Candyn617 on reaching onederland! What a terrific accomplishment for each of you!8
-
@Candyn617 Oh my gosh! Congrats! @Terytha I needed some too....I ordered them online...I have to do that anyway as they still don't carry my size in stores...I didn't go down in cup size but went from a 40 to a 38!4

@kayonaise2 prayers for your boyfriend to recover. What a scary thing to go through. Hope you are safe as well.6

Weigh-in Wednesday
Highest weight: 435 (11/1/18)--lost 50 lbs. by the end of 2018 but got off track and gained back almost 31 lbs.
SW: 415.8 (4/17/19)
3/25: 264.8
3/31: 262.8
4/1: 262.0

April GW: 254.2
GW: 160 (then reevaluate)
Weekly exercise goals:
- exercise bike 5 times per week - 5/5; the times were shorter than in the past due to the pain in my right leg
- short walking videos twice a day 5 times per week - 5/5
- strength training 2 times per week - 2/2 (upper body only; didn't do lower body/legs this week)
- chair yoga 3 times per week - 3/3; added a new exercise this past week
The pain in my right leg that started 2 weeks ago Monday continued through this week. It seems like it's continuing to get better. I eased back into the exercise bike, starting with just 5 min., then 15, and then at 20 min. for a few days. Before this I usually did 40 min., sometimes up to 60 min. Today I'm going to see how a 30 min. ride feels. If that is okay, I'll stay there for a few days and then try 40 min. again. I didn't do the leg weight exercises just because I was being cautious. I probably could have done them after warming up a bit. I'm not sure if I'll attempt them this week or not.
@speyerj You mentioned taking Advil for the leg pain. I tried that but it did nothing for this particular pain. It's not in the muscle or joint so I'm not sure what it is. I've never had a pain like this before. Maybe a nerve thing or something else? As I mentioned last week, it currently goes away after walking for a bit so that's kind of weird but I'm grateful it currently doesn't hurt all the time and I can still get some movement in.
Hope we all get through April safely and without going stir-crazy!

My goal this month and every month for the rest of my life is to maintain a solid mental state of mind. Whatever I need to do to achieve this I will do. From reading to biking to walking to yoga to staying within my calories to turning off the news to limiting my social media to cutting the hedges a few times...a day😂😂...I’ll do it.
Let’s continue moving forward ladies❤️🥰8 -

Just a few comments; work has been busy this week!
@kayonaise2 sending prayers and hugs your way. I hope your boyfriend recovers quickly and that you stay healthy.
@Candyn617 congrats on making it into Onederland and losing 30% of your starting weight!! So inspiring; I am proud of you.
@KeriA I just love that you are using this uncertain time to get back to basics and doing what has worked for you the past.
@mmdevaux regarding your post on the March thread - thank you for sharing how you are feeling. It is completely natural and I would be disappointed as well. We are all human and adjusting to our new reality. And tell the guy at the gym you missed seeing him the next time you run into him. It wouldn't be too forward under these crazy circumstances and could give him the courage he needs for the next step!
@RavenStCloud thank you again for setting up this amazing community for us. I am grateful you are safer now even though you are worried about family. I wish our government had done more, earlier, to manage this crisis.6 -

The store I order from shut down their online store too.7 -
Hey everyone! I kind of fell off the end of last month's thread too. Like so many others I am trying to figure out working from home, homeschooling my two young children, and still taking care of myself and not losing my mind.
I haven't weighed myself in a week or so and the last time I did, it wasn't great. I seem to be treading water at best, or swimming upstream at worst.
I start off everyday feeling optimistic and determined not to binge, but the afternoon rolls around and I'm restless, so I eat way too much of some stupid snack as I make the kids a snack tray to eat.
Then I stop logging and just eat whatever for the rest of the day.
That's the bad stuff. The good stuff? Well, there is plenty, actually. I have a treadmill and I've been running on it 4-5x a week. I did yoga 4x last week. I have been avoiding alcohol, which is a total downfall of mine, I only enjoy wine 2 days a week or so.
other good stuff- I still HAVE a job, at least for now, and I can do it from home. I recognize how incredibly fortunate that is and feel grateful everyday. That is one less stress. It might be hard to do my job with my children hollering in the next room and without a dedicated work space at home, but my employer is incredibly tolerant and supportive.
Yesterday I took a stab at making a family schedule- put up a giant white board and everyone put their daily goals on it- what kind of exercise they want to get, what kind of work they will be doing, what chores everyone is responsible for. It worked pretty well! I'm feeling happy about that.
Anyway. I'm going to have a good health day today- treadmill, yoga, food logging, and avoid alcohol. Then I'll be back tomorrow to weigh myself and set April goals.

Hello everyone!
Those are some crazy times we are in atm. But on a positive note, being home everyday means I have no excuse to not cook haha so I’ve been keepi positive by trying out different recipes and new meals.
Last weekend was really tough for me mentally. And I needed up eating pizza Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 🤦🏼♀️ But I can only move forward and both yesterday and today I picked myself up and get back in the kitchen! 💪🏻
I’m hoping to just keep trying my best, and not sabotaging myself. I’d love to loose around 3kg (or about 6lbs) in April just because I think I can do it! 🙌🏻💪🏻

I didn't weigh myself this morning... overslept and was in a rush. I officially weigh on Friday's so I'll just use 3/27 as my April start. I keep a tracker of my month end goal weight and actual and for the 3rd month, my month end goal is 312. I really hope I can hit it finally. Friday was supposed to be a cheat day which turned into an entire crap weekend thanks to my inability to tell the boy "no" to junk food. April, I will do better and that's no fool!

Hello, ladies! I’m new to the group and would love to make new friends! Both on and off of here. Add me and let’s get over this hurdle together!!!! Let’s get this damn bacon off of our backs!!!!
• Age: 26
• CW: 243.4
• GW: 160 even!
❤️ I’ve had 2 kids and am 5 months postpartum. I am ready to snap back into my pre- baby physique!
❤️ Luckily my fiancé and I are stable enough to afford a home gym in our garage so we have a NordickTrackElltiptical, Spinbike, a ton of dumbbells, and a bench with stability balls. Since we’ve been on quarantine, I have been adjusting my relationship with food and now that I have, I’ve incorporated 40 mins of HIIT cardio every morning during my fast (I intermittent fasting as well) and my trainer told me to add in 1 hour of weight training with 4 sets of each workout with exactly 12,10,8,12 reps. So far I’ve lost 3.6lbs but I have a ways to go!
❤️ WE CAN DO THIS!!!
-Message me, I’d love to add some new friends!10 -
Thanks @RavenStCloud for the new thread. I'm so ready for a new month. So many wonderful new and old faces that I'm happy to be on this journey with. For all the new posters feel free to send a friend request.

Cardio/elliptical 3/week
Strength and Yoga 3/week

March ended up being a maintenance month for me. I didn't start out with that intention but along the way feel into place. I think taking the break really helped mentally although in the beginning of realizing that was happening I felt frustrated and angry with myself. Today has been like a I'm a little flower poking through the soil and ready to bloom. I feel lighter, refreshed, and ready to tackle things again. Normally I would have went with 190 for my monthly goal but for my own mental state I going for 192. I know last month I missed a lot by not regularly checking in and only logging but now ya gotta put up with me again lol.
@CupcakeCrusoe I love the idea of a just lose goal for the month and easing up the stress of it all if needed. I hope you have a fabulous month.
@RavenStCloud I know being so far from family is a huge stress for you right now. Do all you can to stay in touch daily with calls, facetime, texts, etc. I think the feelings of not being in control is right in our faces. I mean we really never are in control but at least we can pretend a little better about it. Hugs
@Terytha I know you can change weight class this month. It would be sweet if the pizza/popcorn combo was found to be a magical weight loss key. I would be all over that.
@shalanne The bike rides in such a beautiful place sound wonderful. All that matters is getting around the hurdles whether it be jumping, walking, or crawling under them.
@Candyn617 So happy for you!!! You've have been dedicated to reaching your goal and all the work is paying off. You can't see it but I've got a big for you. Keep moving forward.
@AlexandraFindsHerself1971 Great work on getting close to goal. Your March was a full one with all the house stuff etc so kudos for staying on track. I agree with holding off on house showings for as long as possible. Hopefully it won't be too far out for that and also for all the legal name issues you want done.
@lilann1961 I know weighing may be scary but go ahead and do it. It'll be ok and don't worry about being kind to yourself during this time. Do what you can and that works for you in the now. I think Raven picked an awesome title for the month too.
@kayonaise2 I'm so sorry your boyfriend was hit with virus. I can only imagine how scary and stressful that was for y'all. Taking care of him and keeping you healthy is the most important thing. I hope he is improving. Hugs
@MuttiNM I'm glad your pain is improving. If advil is helping much try naproxen and alternate heat/cold packs. I have sciatica and that combo helps a little on the worst days.
@BrownSugar174 "My goal this month and every month for the rest of my life is to maintain a solid mental state of mind" is awesome goal!!! Hoping we all can be blessed with that one.
@aliciap0116 You can accomplish your bday goal and party hard with an at home Mexican buffet.
@shorepine Your doing so many good positive things. All those will help you stay above water and make it to the end of the pool. As for the late snacking maybe you could hold off when your first meal is. That way you can have room for a snack when the kids get one but not be apt to overeat. Also fix up some of your favorite snacks that work within your calories to have then.
Alright ladies let's tackle this month with strength, kindness, and clarity.

@bluffgirl67 It's so good to see you back! Thanks for the tip about naproxen and heat/cold packs. I don't have any naproxen in the house but I'll try to get some next time I'm out.3

It is funny how different days can be from one another when there is no routine like going to work. Today I got up and got dressed but ended up reading much of the day. At least I have a series I like now. I did make a great pot roast. I got a new enamel cast iron pot last fall and it worked great. I logged and came here and I even went for a walk. I think I will have upped my water today by the time I go to bed. We are finally going out shopping for groceries tomorrow. I haven't been out for weeks. My husband has gotten a few things we needed but I haven't been out since the beginning of March when we stocked up for 2+ weeks. With left overs it has lasted well. However this time I haven't planned for 2 weeks of meals but we do have some leftovers still and we aren't out of all supplies. I feel more concerned than I did then.
I read all your posts but have only replied to a few. I think I am musing over things right now.
@Candyn617 Congratulations on reaching Onderland!
@Terytha sometimes your body needs to know it isn’t starving and then it lets go of the weight.
@MuttiNM Naproxin/Alieve works well for me for both muscle and arthritis pain or when I have pulled something.
@shorepine I love the whiteboard
@bluffgirl67 what difference a day can make. You do sound like you have a new start.

@mmccloy12, @aliciap0116 and @bluffgirl67 - thank you for the good wishes! He's so much better than he was - he can actually get out of bed for a few hours now. I think it's going to be a long recovery though, and he's lost over 20lbs in 2 weeks.
@shorepine I know that feeling when tracking just seems too hard at some point in the day. It's so often been my downfall. Is there any little reward you can give yourself (even something small and silly like a sticker on a chart or a tick on a to-do list) if you track everything even if you go over the day's calories?
@bluffgirl67 I love your image of being "little flower poking through the soil and ready to bloom". It's such a happy, lovely thought.8
