j29t, awful about your package being stolen, can you get a replacement? so glad your friend is getting better, that's great news!!Yesterday I tried those exercises I mentioned from the senior health group but it was too tame for me, I need it to be more vigorous so I'm going back to Fitness Blender. Went on an hour walk today, yay, since my GSD, Eleanor didn't lag behind. I'm so hoping/praying it's allergies & not something else. We have vet appt wednesday for a second opinion. Wecome new member Carol. I'm so bad at remembering everyone's name on here, lynnchristy, I don't know how you do it lol. We got our stimulus check today . I'm going to order a new bed. When our daughter moved I got my grand daughter's twin bed & I feel so bad that the dogs who used to sleep with me can't now so I can hardly wait. I really needed a new bed. Husband has back problems so he has to sleep in a separate bed. I did okay yesterday food wise, went over a little with some popcorn but not bad1

@Evamutt I contacted Amazon thru chat right away and they have replacements on the way already. I'm always happy with their customer service and hope my packages were just delivered to the wrong apartment number and not stolen. Perhaps someone in the building is wondering why they got sunscreen and protein bars.2

@j29t I'm glad to hear that. I don't have much to say. We took Eleanor dog to the ponding basin today to run, I'm going to the store, I need to color my hair & make our green juice today, otherwise it's a quiet day. oh, yesterday I went to visit our youngest son & family. We visited in back yard & I wore my mask. Our middle son is sure he has the virus minus the fever. He's been home sick for a week. Him & his wife work in the hospital I used to work at. He hasn't had to go to the hospital so far2

Good Morning everyone! So happy, first hummingbird sighting of the season yesterday afternoon and he's back again this morning. I usually set the feeders out 4/15 but it was just too chilly, so didn't get them set out until last Sunday. Maybe Spring is finally here.5

I went to Costco yesterday primarily to get canned dog food (Costco limited it to one case per customer) and ran into my Sunday walking friend who agreed to buy a case for me. So now I don't have to go back there again for 24 days instead of 12. Today I go to the grocery store for the first time in 25 days. We ran out of eggs and tortillas and are getting low on many other staples.

So today wrote letters to my 4 year old grandchildren , I am planning g to do it weekly with activities for them to do this weeks activity is to make bunting for VE day celebrations and colour a map in to learn about capital cities both recieved them and loved it so now planning next weeks letters.
Also drying parsley, sage and chives. No walks as it's raining here in the UK but playing games with the dogs ie hide and seek.
Have a great day everyone4 -
I am home from an exhausting trip to the grocery store. I was well organized and found almost everything on my list. I had to call my husband twice to ask about brand substitution for some items he wanted. There were two items I had hoped to get at the grocery store and couldn't so I stopped at Walgreen's after and found one of them. Now we are set for another 25 days or more. Part of what makes it exhausting is wearing a mask which makes breathing difficult. I have great admiration for people who wear masks all day at work.
annliz your plan for your grandchildren sounds great.

Good morning everyone!!! We have sunshine today woohoo!!! I got the hostas planted in my neighbors yard yesterday. Her husband had put all these really cool rocks in they had gotten buried over time so dug those up planted the hostas then reset the rocks. Turned out good. Also planted lupine in there. Today I’m going to play in my neighbors yard on the other side of me. Planting flower seeds in the planter and digging up dandelions. We have a doves nest in our curly willow!! It’s cool to watch them. I hope yous don’t mind about me talking about my gardening. I just love it so much God has given me the strength and energy to do it . It’s my peaceful place with Jesus. Annaliz23 that is so cool what you are doing with your grandchildren. Great idea!! Barbican I’m with you it is exhausting to go to the store! It is difficult to breath through the mask I have to keep telling myself it’s ok you can do this I pep talk myself all the time!! Everyone have a great day God be with yous!!🤓🌹🦋🌷💖6

Hey there! Hope you all are well. Idaho started the first phase of reopening today. Retail stores, churches, day care centers and youth activities can resume. Crossing my fingers that everything goes well. I will continue to wear a mask when needed and maintain my distance, but otherwise I'm resuming normal activities.2

Good morning everyone,
I am 65 and once again on the roller coaster of yoyo dieting, this time I am doing it with the help of a dietician, my doctor and a psychologist they are going to try and work out why I lose lots of weight and then put it back on. Due to the Corona Virus appointment still a month away, just wondering if any of you had used this type of assistance before
Thanks in advance

If you round up, I think I'd qualify for 60 and up. I will be 58 this year. Copied from my home page: Restarting with mini goals: 1 - Water Challenge; 2 - Reset Weight for today; 3 - Joined a new Bible Study FP4H group online; 4 - Starting to exercise again (oh I'm outa shape); and 5 - Showing grace and patience to others and myself!4

Welcome. I haven't used professional help but it has been useful for people I know. I made health and fitness my top priority ahead of family, socializing, wondering what other people think, etc. I walk for recreation and entertainment. I don't use food for recreation. I seek every opportunity to be active. I read about nutrition and am active on more than one thread on MFP with other like minded people who are supportive and encouraging. If you round up, I think I'd qualify for 60 and up. Welcome. Starting with some small achievable goals is a great idea. Water, spiritual support, being active, and being kind will help to get you where you want to go.

Hello, all, and welcome to new participants!
I haven't posted much, because not that much happens in shelter-at-home for solo me. I'm still overall in weight maintenance mode, but with the goal of ultra-slowly losing a few pounds (at half a pound a week or preferably less). With no restaurant indulgences, that's been easier and going a little bit faster than before isolation. Down below 130 this morning, for the 2nd time in two weeks . . . and those were the first times that's happened since Feburary 2018!
Definitely not getting enough exercise, though, and need to work more on that . . . which should be a little easier as we're getting some warmer weather. I haven't been able to row, because my rowing shells live in a club boathouse, and that's been closed under our state's shutdown orders (because it's a facility in a public park). Just a couple of days ago, it was opened for one person at a time to be inside.
Because that means rowing my own racing single (12" wide at the waterline!), that being the only boat I can carry by myself (26' long, so quite awkward, but only about 31 pounds). I'm going to wait until the water warms a bit more before going out: I don't need to experiment with swimming alone in a cold river, and with racing singles we always say "it's not 'if you flip', it's 'when you flip'" . I don't have a dry suit, and I outgrew my kayaking wetsuit (well "ingrew" would be more accurate, I suppose - it's huge to the point of being nonfunctional).
So: Rowing machine, weights, etc. at home, if/when I work up the ambition. I'm being pretty good lately about doing a bit of daily yoga and stretching, and that's about it for formal exercise. Plenty of yard work and stuff needed here, though.
Some of you have said you like my flower photos before, so here's a new one from my garden. They call these "pink" daffodils, but in real life they're more of a peachy-apricot kind of color.
Best wishes for health and a lovely Spring to you all! :drinker:

This morning, I had to put my sweet Shirley dog to sleep. We've had her since she was 5weeks old till now at 15.5 years old. She was my best friend. We were so close & have been through a lot together. She was doing ok with her arthritis. I had her on suppliments including turmeric. I took her last month to get laser treatments for her arthritis, which helped a lot but this past Friday she just stopped eating & panting alot. I couldn't even give her the pain pill. We're going to miss her so much!!!7
