Went way down after stay at home went into effect. Just not motivated to move. I must get my MOJO back!! Have a good weekend everyone! My journey … "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbs.My highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.*One of my major goals is to get my BMI under 40 (260 weight) so I can have surgery on my knees *12 -

4/27 119.5 Very surprised because I made a rotisserie chicken yesterday and ate most of the super salty skin. YUM!

4/29 120.5 Apparently I got caught up in life yesterday and didn’t read the board. Bad experience at Walmart grocery pick up. Girl refused to put on mask, young man (employee) said he was going to “kick your *kitten*” to my husband who was outraged by the girls attitude. Today we are supposed to have a record breaking high for April, 102 degrees!
4/30 119.5 Well, I ate very strangely yesterday. A lot more veggies than usual and an adequate amount of protein. But when I got on the scale this morning it said 109.0 - I haven’t been that light since I was 4’6” in 5th grade! - I knew that was wrong. I got on 3 times and finally got a reasonable weight. May be time for a new battery! TWC app says we hit 100 in our area yesterday but the official temp fell short of the record. Another chance today - it was 82 at 7:30 this morning but it’s cloudy now.

5/2 118.0 I just wasn’t hungry. We had a nice salad for dinner with ham, chicken, cheeses, and eggs. Our daughter and son-in-law #2 remarried yesterday evening. A friend set up a Zoom meeting so friends and family could watch.
I love Zoom. My congregation and WW use Zoom for programs and meetings. I went to a tea party and a memorial service on Zoom. When you say your daughter remarried. Did she remarry because she had divorced her husband? I have friends who had did that or just had another ceremony to celebrate their love and/or anniversary. Just curious. I am always intrigued with ones who divorce and remarry. The one couple who did that is doing quit well the 2nd time around! It has been over 5 years I know.

@MurphmomSparkles - I used to exercise in the mornings for many years. The key to morning workouts is you have to get to bed on time. Otherwise you will never be able to pull away for the bed. Once you get into the habit of going to bed early and getting up early it will become a habit and your body will get used to it. But it takes discipline to hit the sack on time. Wish you the best!!5

04/30–176--Baby steps beginning today, right? Back to work on what I know is good for me.
05/01–174—I figured yesterday’s uptick was salt and expected a drop, but am SO thankful for it. I did hit my water goal yesterday, which I haven’t been doing consistently for months. Yesterday doesn’t make it consistent, but it’s a start back in the right direction. Did well with food choices too. I’m slightly encouraged by the feeling that, for one day at least, I was able to be back in control of what I put in my freaking mouth!
05/02–173.4—Got in all my water yesterday, did well with food, and also got in two miles of walking after dinner. Steps: 11,206. Yesterday felt good, and a comment that @quiltingjaine made was dead on—One Day at a Time. I think it’s clear that I’m a food addict and have been my whole life, really. I’ve had a relapse over the last 8-10 months, but it’s time to give up those bad habits again and make new ones like I had done before. I did it once. I can do it again.

@UTMom81- Yes you can do it again!! I am a foodie also and a former binge eater. Good job on not regaining all of your weight back. That means you are doing something right. I agree the quarantine is not kind at all. But we can overcome it. It is just going to be harder than it already is. You got this!!6 -

04/27: 140 (+.4) Lol. Burned 850 calories doing a 3 hour bike ride and I gain weight? Maybe just working through the 3 liters of water and electrolytes I drank. Had pasta for dinner and some margaritas but don’t think it was over calories. The body is truly just a chemical reaction.

05/01: 232.0 (-1.2)/19.8 (-0.1). Hi everybody. I've missed you all, and this place. I've been trying to dip my toe back into the idea of getting myself healthy again, with little success. It's frustrating to have gotten (again) so close to my all-time highest weight. Every time this happens (my relapse), I initially (for a while, actually) beat myself up for getting into this place again. It's easy to forget how stressful life is right now for just about everyone, and how it might be a decent idea to give myself a break. Especially when I look in the mirror. I've been tracking my food successfully now for a few days, but not being able to go to the gym or play basketball has significantly inhibited my ability to perform enjoyable exercise activities. I bought some home gym equipment (rowing machine and sliding gravity weight-lifting machine) at the beginning of COVID-19 lockdown, but my motivation to use it has been sporadic.
05/02: 230.8 (-1.2)/19.7 (-0.1). Six days in, 7.6 lbs and 0.9 BF% down. I still don't think this is sustainable (check that... I KNOW this is not sustainable), but already my massive gut (from 4/26) is looking better. I know that it will be harder to notice a difference later, so I'm appreciative of this moment, where things are moving fast and it's easy to see. I've been doing really well at staying within my calorie goal each day, even with "splurges." Last night I had a beer with dinner, but I planned on that earlier in the day by reducing my snack intake. It's early, and there will still be ups and downs, but being here works (community support and friendship). Counting calories works. There's simply no reason for me NOT to be here. I like being here. AND I love all of you for being here, too. I'm going to work on integrating some exercise into my daily life at home.

Round 112 - April 27 to May 6
Female, 5’, 67 years. SW – 166.2 GW – 165.5 or lower, UGW – 140.
Goals: continue with 12 hr. IF, 5-6 glasses of water a day (I drink lots but it tends to be tea. I limit the black/green to 4 lg. mugs), complete my tracking every day and get some kind of outdoor exercise unless it is raining – in which case indoors. Did not do well on the exercise the last couple of rounds and it shows – a steady creep up.
Missed a lot of days last round – have been getting morning phone calls from kids checking up on us and then get busy with my day. It is great to talk to them though especially when I’m not talking much to anyone else.

04/30 – 167.2 – So our router decided to have a fit and we had no internet for a couple of days. Quite interesting actually. I found that mentally I went back to “before internet” and carried on. I ate just as usual so have no idea why the sudden jump up. I’ve been working outside every day but it’s just clearing off perennial beds so not really all that much exercise.
05/01 – 167 – Doubt if I was within cals. but not much over - had a snack in the evening. Short time outside yesterday as it started raining but today is looking beautiful so hoping to get in lots of outside exercise digging out weeds and grass around my bushes.
05/02 – 166.8 – Tracked all and found I was at maintenance. No IF – around 9:30 suddenly I’m starving, had a couple of graham crackers and 2 pieces dried fruit and ½ strength hot chocolate. I’ve found though that I can’t win this battle and snack in the evening – just have to ignore the stomach until it gets used to no evening snacks again. I did put in a solid 3 hrs. digging out grass and weeds though for exercise (probably why I felt I “deserved” evening snacks).

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back walking!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

04/26 …..204.3….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND Weight was inflated due to travel & Chinese food the day before. Therefore, my hope is to lose a full 2 pounds (or more) this round to be at a 0.1 deficit (or more). If the travel yesterday caused suspected water weight, this, at minimum should be attainable.
04/27 …..203.2 ….. And there goes the water from the Chinese Food two days ago. Now, to work on the weight gain. Goal: 202.3 or less. I worked hard yesterday doing a mix-up of movement and exercise. Very sore knees over the past couple of days due to some of my exercise choices so I’m keeping an eye on that. I pray today will be a strong day. It is Sunny & beautiful today with no rain expected until after 8:00 PM tonight so I plan on taking advantage of that. I will be traveling tomorrow for carpeting about 200 miles away each way. Carpet sales were prohibited until May 1st so I’m getting my butt out there to get the 7 different pieces/sizes that I need. Good luck everyone on this round!

04/29 …..208.4 ….. Are you flipping kidding me????? Yes, I double-checked the scale several times. Travel yesterday consisted of no snacks, a light lunch and a small dinner I split into two portions (brought the other one home). High sodium Thai dinner with real rice (not cauliflower) so I know I’m retaining some water but this is crazy! I did eat the other half of the dinner at about 1:00 AM (about 3 hours before I went to bed). Today is cold, very gloomy and depressing with lots of rain. I will be indoors all day but I will be walking my hallways, using my ski machine etc. Lots of Parsley tea for me today! It was a long trip and when we arrived I could not even bring home the carpet. They did not have enough of the color/style I chose so they have ordered it precut in my sizes (I need 6 pieces). So next week will be another trip. Better choices next time!
04/30 …..207.9 ….. I peed all night so the water is shedding from the travel food. Traveling 3 times in the past week has made my journey a little rough this past week, but moving forward and soldiering on. I am going to work on some cleaning projects today in my house so I will try to stay fairly active but sorting clothing and going through paperwork does not involve a lot of steps so I will try to fit in some sets of other things. Yesterday I managed to burn an extra 858 calories with exercise. It is cold and rainy again here so I’ll be staying inside.

That resentment you feel is completely normal. AND, when you're able to get past it (which you will, eventually, at least for "moments"), you'll find this journey a lot more comfortable. It's so easy to get caught up in negativity in the moment of a bad weigh-in, and it's sometimes a lot harder to take a step back and notice your progress over the longer journey, no matter what the scale says on any particular day. Seeing the big picture more regularly can bring serenity.

04/29 - 126.3 Obviously the extra 100-200 cal over my cal goal on the 27th and then no sleep on the 28th didn't negatively affect my weightloss. I'm very happy about that. As long as I keep up a little bit of activity throughout the day, I should be able to include my nightly craving for extra sharp cheddar lol
04/30 - 126.3 I'm not too worried about the scale not moving. I ate popcorn last night and I use a grotesque amount of salt in mine lol As long as I drink lots of water today and continue as normal I'm sure the scale will drop tomorrow.
05/01 - 126.3 again. Yesterday I went waaay over my limit. I ate taco bell, Hawaiian pizza, but it mostly had to do with the entire bottle of wine I drank. Just happy I maintained instead of gained.
05/02 - 129.2 YIKES I ate almost 900 over my goal but went on a 2-mile run followed by a mile walk to cool down. I'm hoping it's mostly water along with food weight. Guess we'll see tomorrow.

04/27 - 65.7kg, yay, back to where I was a few days ago, sticking to counting calories and walking
04/28 - 65.6kg, ate a "big" dinner which was not that comfortable even though within calorie limits...
04/29 - 65.3kg, a nice drop, most likely will not be sustainable through tomorrow and I'll see a bounce up
04/30 - 65.1kg, a delightful surprise this morning and well deserved because I've been so diligent :-)
05/01 - 65.1kg, thank goodness no bounce after eating what I thought was too much for dinner last night
05/02 - 64.9kg, made goal, but will there be a bounce? Yesterday was great for food choices.
05/03 - 65.3kg, no difference yesterday with eating well, didn't walk as much, should have had more water
