Hey everyone, if you want to share stories, feel free to add me. I would love to see your journeys.
Starting Weight May 1st: 306.2
I started Keto in the middle of April(15th) and was 321 pounds at 5'8". I am pleasently surprised about this loss and interested to see where it goes. I am also loving the lack of tummy troubles since starting this style of eating so... I may be on to something.
I would LOVE to be solidly under 300 again. 290 would be amazing, and if I hit it, I am treating my self to this amazing part of shorts from Torrid.4 -
And 268 this morning.
Of course, I had the cat walk on me, pause, survey her domain from my shoulder, and then get off the bed onto the nightstand and begin Pushing Things Off. (sigh) So I got to start my day an hour early. Thank you, Nyx.
We're going to the food service store to get another case of tiny bags of chips, and see if they have a pork tenderloin I can cut up. I like to cut my own chops, and someday I'll go take a class on butchering to learn how to take a primal cut down the way I want to do it.2 -
Hi everybody, I am new and i would like to be part of your group. English is my 2nd language so I apologise in advance if what I write sometimes will not make sense😔
I am 52 yrs old and have type 2 diabetes.
I have never posted anything anywhere, so I hope somebody read my post.
be safe and take care☺

I am delighted to say goodbye to April. What a no good very bad month! I'm guessing that those of us still in lockdown are finding new and creative ways to climb the walls! I keep assuring myself that safe is better than sick but it would be nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
On a positive note, I managed to eek out a <4 lb loss in April despite way too many Zoom cocktail hours and way too little exercise. My ankle is still very problematic but telemedicine can only go so far so until I can get an xray and an in-person consultation with an orthopedic doc I'm still sidelined from doing much more than hobbling around my apartment with a pair of walking sticks. It's all rather discouraging but I am optimistic that May will bring much better things to all of us.3 -
Total April loss: 5 lbs (April Finished weight 230)

So I kind of expected this - it is my first weight gain and it took 5 months of losing to hit it. I had a couple drinks last night and that always leave me a little heavier the next day. Eating over the weekend was not the greatest. Hoping to get back on track this week. Of course I also forgot my lunch at home today so I have to grab something from the cafe. And there isn't much in the way of 'good' food. Maybe I'll do a grilled cheese or oatmeal.
Hope everyone is doing well out there.2 -
@celticck77, I am expecting the same thing this week. My weight was definitely up over the weekend, so I doubt it will change too much by Thursday. I'm suddenly having a hard time doing what I was previously doing. I'm trying to chalk it up as a phase...and hoping it will be a short one.3

Hi folks, I’ve got about 90 lbs to lose. So I’m in!
My name is Josh. I live in central PA, USA. My long term goals are to get down to a target weight of what I was in college (220 or so). Right now I’m a little below my highest weight (in 2018 I hit 340) at current weight of 312. I joined a gym in 2018 and was on a bit of a roll swimming and stationary bike. Now I’m stuck at home floundering. I got down to 300 but I’m back up. Other than the health reasons for joining MFP I also have a family and want to be able to run around and do sports with them, I want to do a triathlon some day. I’m also a Christian and my faith means a lot to me. I can’t help but think of the scripture that says “physical training is of some value...” and even thought the point is that spiritual training is more valuable it certainly also means that being in shape is meaningful too. So that’s me
I know some of you have been in the game since January, so I’ve got some catching up to do. I’ll see you at target weight! I’d love to hit it by December 31st 2019, but I’d also be happy to hit it in early 2021. I’m just not happy staying where I’m at. I’ll plan to check in weekly on Tuesday. Thanks!3 -

Am currently relaxing my calorie limits for a few days; I have a tooth that has decided to go bad, and currently am developing a gumboil. So I'm going to feel rotten and be on a soft diet for a few days, because I know by Friday all he'll do is drain the boil and give me antibiotics and schedule me for the root canal at a later date.
Apparently now I get anxious if I DON'T log my meals. Habit's a crazy thing.3 -

Well, half a pound is better than nothing, I suppose! I am now 1.9 lbs from my first goal, and at this rate it could take 4 weeks or more to reach it! It's been a very busy week for me with work, but I managed to get in at least 40 minutes on my treadmill each day, although some walks were not too vigorous because I walked during Zoom meetings where I could not huff and puff and get all sweaty. I hope you are all having a great and healthy week!4 -

I've got to try walking during a meeting. Sounds like a good way to complete two tasks. 💡1 -
Got my immediate dental issues fixed (and half my mouth and tongue is numb, so no lunch for me), and today I stepped on the scale and noted that I am exactly thirty pounds from where I started in January, and I think that's pretty cool.3

I'm sorry, I haven't been on lately, I've been right out straight this past week. Just got caught up.
I want to welcome Josh, Venesia, Tiffanylynn1024, shygazer and rysella - WOW !! I am so excited to have you join. This is your first step, the next step is accountability, not to us but to yourselves. We welcome you all with open arms like fellow brother and sisters. It's up to you to come back and check in your weekly weights, no matter if it's good or bad, there's NO judgment here. We are walking this road together.
Jennifersusan - Your doing great !!
Eppen5 - I feel your pain, I was only able to loose 4pds in April. Although it's better to loose something than gain everything. I have no problem being called a looser ( in the right text ).
This month the temps "were" in the mid-sixties, the daffs and tulips are coming up, I'm catching ( or I should say running out ) of things to do around the outside of the house, so I told my husband that I will be starting to go up north ( into the White Mts. ) and start cleaning up around my parent's house and take the tarp off the camper up in the woods and start cleaning up around the camp. Sunday I went up and raked the lawns around my parent's house, which took me till noon, the arm I just had operated on in Jan. got a good work-out, then I went straight up to camp. What a MESS. If anyone has a camper or a camp in the woods, you know what a mess it is when you first see it in the spring, the amount of leaves and sticks and branches from the trees ( especially pine trees ), I just stood there shaking my head, it looked so over whelming. I had to move branches out of the way just to get to the camper, I pulled the tarp off it and unloaded the car with the camping gear. I re-tarped the wood piles and was recovering some other stuff I had in the wood line and I caught my foot and fell backwards, striking my head on the point of an old stump, just behind my right ear. O.M.G the welt that came out on my head was wicked. I called it quits at that "point". I didn't even realize that I never stopped for lunch, I tend to do that a lot during the summer, which is not good. Your body needs fuel to keep burning, during my last large weight lose I made sure to eat something every two hrs. toast for breakfast ( never was a breakfast eater ), baby carrots at 9:00am, yogurt at 11:00am, fruit at 1:00pm and 3:00pm, sensible dinner at 5:00pm and a sensible snack at 7:00pm.
Wednesday I went up north and stopped by the cemetery to clean up our family lot for Memorial day, then to my parents house to clean out my mom's flower bushes, there are 14 in all, I got 7 done and left at noon and headed for camp. I started picking up brush and mowed the leaves down on a good part of the property. The mowing back and forth just to mulch the leaves down was awesome exercise for my upper body, I worked up a good sweat.
Yesterday - same as Wed. except this time when I got to camp I started picking up 90% of the sticks, branches and mess, I spent about 4hrs continually bending over time and time again. WOW, does my butt muscles and lower back hurt today.
Spring is over, we're back to winter. snowing all day today, temp is between 27- 32.

Thanks for the welcome ladycop! I’m happy to be on this journey. I get so distracted with life sometimes that I pretend not to notice when I’m gaining weight and losing fitness. The last week and a half have been a good start to getting back on track for me.
May 5: 312
May 12: 310.4
(Also starting doing planks every day with a goal of 60 minutes planked this month. 31 minutes so far! And another goal of walking 3 miles a day, 5 times a week. Since coronavirus came around I got pretty sedentary, so it’s nice to feel the burn on my legs again and I’ve done 3/5 this week)2 -
Hi! Hope it is not to late to join?
If not, starting weight 5/11/20 - 298

I am back tracking food, weighing food, measuring food and drinking lots of water. I am looking forward to getting more healthy, not feeling run down all the time and just being more confident!2 -
Hi I'm Jodi from IL I just want to say I am well into the 200 club I weigh 257 I have been a yoyo Dieter for years I work as a CNA at an assisted living place and I also work as a home care worker for one of the home care agencies I have been a CNA since 2005 I went up on the CDC.gov websight and used the bmi calculater on there and discovered that my bmi is dangerously high it is 40.5 which puts me at an even higher risk for critical illnesses so I am telling myself that now is not a time to procrastinate about losing weight and I am looking forward to seeing good results5
-
Can I join? My name is Alexis and I weigh 213.2 pounds. This is the heaviest I've ever been and about 15 pounds came during the quarantine. I need to lose weight but always lose motivation after a week. Seriously, I'll download apps and do at home workouts but a week later I just stop. I joined a gym today. I always feel pretty self conscious there so I'm trying to motivate myself to actually go. I was the only woman there and the only obese person there. There were about 5 men on the other side of the room and they were all in shape. I felt awkward. This time I'm trying to get into some fitness communities to keep the motivation going.4
