I have been frustrated by this continuing yo-yo, gaining, losing the same few pounds. And then, only down by the tiniest amounts, like .2. Yesterday, I decided to go back to a basically keto-based diet. Not totally, but get rid of the things I crave: sugar, white flour and stick to things like berries for fruit, etc. stick to two, good meals, and up my water by a lot. Down 1.2 today. Yay!

I'm proud of myself! But my tom is coming up and while I'm not gonna cave to my cravings, I still usually tend to gain, so I'm preparing myself for it. I'm so excited! I haven't been this dedicated to weightloss in a long time. This time I'm not stressing over it and I'm not restricting myself from anything (had panda express last night and mcdonalds the week before). Keep it up everyone. We can do it!

I had a salty dinner last night so I'm almost sure that has an impact on my numbers today. Also, on Saturday I pigged out :o but I didn't cheat myself! I logged in everything I ate to hold myself accountable. I went over my calories by about 750-yikes! Then Sunday I said I would walk at least 10k steps and I didn't do that either. So this past week I went over my weekly calorie range but still had room to lose some weight just not my target goal. I'll do better this week :)

Also, someone on here mentioned Team Body Project-thanks for that! I actually started last Tuesday and have been working out everyday. I like that it's low impact but trust I am definitely sore! I don't log any workouts though, I only account for my daily steps. Keep up the great work guys!

Hi Ayesha! Although you had a big dinner on Saturday you recorded what you ate and continue to do well! That is a huge accomplishment. Before using MFP, I would have a big dinner and then give up because I had gained weight. You are doing all the right things! 👏👏👏

I am impressed by the 10K goals. Before this quarantine had me working from home, I struggled to get 7000 steps with my desk job. Now I struggle to make 5K. This week my goal it to hit 7K at least 5 days.

Nice goal! I have to push myself so much to increase my steps!

Thanks! Weighing in and logging every day has really helped me to not be overly concerned about a few lbs of weight gain. I know the overall trend is down and I'm sure I'll be back down again in a couple of days! And I don't regret my salty meal!

I have upped my water intake so much that I may as well move my isolation home office from the dining room table to the bathroom because I am wearing out a path on the floor, although that won't be great for Zoom calls! (Who saw that video on FB? LOL) ... Seriously, I think I can feel a difference in everything from drinking so much water, even my skin and hair. Regular water bores me, though, after a while and I can barely choke it down, and I LOVE water, so my daughter and I have started buying Polar 100% natural flavored seltzer which has 0 everything in it. Did someone in this group mention some good zero sugar/carb flavoring to put in water to kick it up a notch? I can't remember but please mention it again, if so. Thanks, and rock on, all. You are such an inspiration. <3

Hi AASlender, welcome to the group!😊

I started my journey on 4/25. I haven’t had any sugar or alcohol which are trigger foods for me and make me overeat. I can’t even have bake goods that are made with sugar substitutes. That does mean that I won’t have them for ever but it has worked for me. A lot of people have success with Keto but it is too restrictive for me. I prefer to do low carb. Instead of pasta, I eat spaghetti squash or soy noodles. However. I’ve had two slices of pizza for a meal (I had a salad before to make me fuller). I have Ezekiel bread every day with breakfast. I drink about 90 oz of water a day and walk 5 days a week. Posting everyday helps me to feel accountable. I track my food everyday. We can do this!😊

I would like to join your group, I'm a little late, but I have to start somewhere....
I was doing really good until the pandemic really hit home, and I had some medical issues (not covid related) and I let myself slip back into old routines. I will do my first weigh in tomorrow.
