I have the "ball in my court" with a friend from high school right now. He has no clue but he's absolutely blowing it
doing something annoying and I'm actually pretty mellow about stuff you'd think I wouldn't be. What drives me absolutely nuts is the stupid thumbs up emoji, maybe it's an age thing but it seems so dismissive! Of course I do it back all the time now, I'd rather be flipped off. that's what I'm taking it as.

I dated someone who lol'd me to death. When I told him his nickname was lol ...he started to thumbs up me 😂...so we are no longer dating

    lol

    😑

    You’re pretty

    👍

Haha, is that the new version of friend zoning?

No, in my experience it's just a difference in communication...and, personality.

typically if u wanna sisterzone a girl you just have to flip the script and tell 'em the same things they always tell guys. only you gotta make sure and throw in mentions of the other girls occasionally like you're asking for advice or whatever.

    they hate that.

Sounds like alot of words for an emoji driven dating scene

the best dating advice i ever heard, if you're a guy at least, is that- if you can say it in a single word then say it. otherwise try not.

Probably not the best advice...LOL came back asking what happened, why couldn't we be together...

hey those are fun to just send out randomly when you're bored sometimes

You try to Dm, Mfp, and keep a Sec RxR from blowing sky high next to an O2/Driox plant and look this smooth while doing it... 😎😂

I always get grief for being succinct

means you're doing it right then i think

Nah I'm still *kitten* it up somehow, promise

My sister hates it too. How do you feel about lol?

I had to update this as I'm reconsidering it now! I was at the dentist and he kept talking to me and I caught myself giving him a thumbs up, yikes! I thought to myself how I didn't have a choice with my mouth being worked on. Then I remembered him saying how hard it is for him to text because of big fingers, maybe I'm not getting how it's a pain since I'm 5'5 and not over 6 feet? Not sure but I'm thinking twice now.

Being LOLed to death is annoying too, I have a friend who does this and have no idea what is LOL-worthy most the time. LOLed AND thumbs up is awful!

For me it would be if he's NOT willing to go to the garlic festival!

Even the slightest hint of meanness towards me when he’s drunk,
    I’m out.

When they respond with "K". WTH, you're too busy to add an O in front of it?
