    5/11: 253. I got down to 242 before christmas, basically maintained until spring break (when the shutdowns started and in person school stopped) and gained 10 back. It's time to start taking this serious again
    5/17: 251.4. Good loss this week. Went out walking every day, 3-5 miles. Going to try to get at least 5 days in this week, if not all 7.
    5/23: 249. Down 4 lbs so far this month! Increaced my daily walks to 5-6 miles and went out 6 days this week (one day was just a mile walk to Walmart for a few groceries and back).
    5/31: 250.6. Up a little. It is what it is.

    05/01 – 207.7 Good luck everyone!
    05/06 – 204.9 Traveling today, which is never good in the food OR exercise category. I will try to maintain some degree of self-control and dignity however, being from a very very small town, entering the city is mind-blowing and temptation is on every corner. I’ve got to stay cool.
    05/09 – 204.8 Making progress but traveling today which will be a set-back in both diet and exercise. I’ll work hard to mitigate any damage all week. It’s my birthday on Mother’s Day so I am going to give myself the present of progress!
    05/13 - 205.1 Notsogood after travel this past week but I’m back and stronger than ever!
    05/20 - 204.3 Better, but still not up to my standards. Working harder is in my future.
    05/27 - 205.0 Better than my starting weight but higher than my previous weigh-in so my plan is to turn this ship back around! I guess I may have indulged a bit too much for the US holiday weekend? No excuses, time to make more changes!
    05/31 – 206.8 A bad weight following travel. More travel expected on the 1st. Ugg. All days in-between I am staying as mindful as my will allows. Most days good.

    One benefit of daily weighing for the last few years is seeing how my cycle impacts increased water weight. Twice a month like clockwork: around day 3 of TOM (lasts a day or two) and right around ovulation (can last a week!).

    Not too shabby! My goal for this check-in was to move back to the 130 lbs mark after last week's gain. Gotta celebrate the small victories!

    Next goal: Top goal for next check-in is simply to continue the downward trend. Bonus points if I hit the next target of 129 lbs.

    Call to action & next steps: To help me get there, this week I'll aim to increase my daily steps by 1000 and be sure to do 45 min of exercise (cycling/lifting/walking) for at least 5 of the 7 days (any combination as long as I keep moving for 45 min!). I exercise daily but sometimes I only have time for 10 or 15 min. This week, I'm prioritizing making time to meet my activity goals. Hopefully, my commitment to this small change will help me be successful with the next check-in!

    Also, thank you all for continuing to check in! Seeing your progress is inspiring and helping to keep me accountable! Together we go farther!

    6/6: 248 down 2.6 from last week. Actually exercised less this week due to high temps in my area and a sore ankle, but I also drank much less alcohol and much more water. Tip: go ahead and have a glass of wine with dinner (if you can) and when your glass is empty, start filling it up with sparkling water. I drank 2 liters of water after dinner that night.
