For the first time in I don’t know how long, I had a picture taken of me from the back that I didn’t hate. I actually like the picture. Considering where I started... I feel pretty good!
Some pictures... I’m not at goal yet, but I’m getting close!
Made it out to try on some capris and store hasn’t been getting new stock and was half empty. Good news: sale! Bad news: hardly any summer clothing. I’m right at the awkward cusp between petites and regular sizes, but I found my regular size in petites, so one pair of capris purchased!
The NSV is I bought a pair of regular high waisted jeans. I have no idea if they’re still “in”, but I see a lot of girls around here wearing them. I never thought I would bc I have terrible memories of the baggy giant “mom butt” these jeans produced in the early 90s. But I now feel pretty confident (also helped that these were a size down from my regular size). Now I just need to figure out what to wear with them!

The jeans look great! The fit is definitely important in high-waisted jeans to avoid the "mom jeans" look, haha.
I had purse and car keys in hand 3x times this weekend, ready to head out the door to buy "garbage." It was a rough weekend with personal / family problems, and I got busy and kept my mind off things and didn't binge on junk food. I'm proud of myself.
I have a few from the past few days. 1. I've had 3 or 4 compliments on my fitness level since Friday. 2. I've been able to push myself to work harder since the gym reopened. I think part of it is that I have known one of the trainers at my gym for several years, and just knowing her and how hard she works out is subconsciously motivating me to work harder. 3.As a result, I used 30 lb dumbells for my bicep curls today and 40 lb dumbells for my dumbell chest press today. Both for about 10-12 reps.
My most recent NSV is taking a selfie with my daughter and seeing dimples again! I have hated how I've looked for so long and I actually don't hate this picture and my dimples are back. Can't remember the last time I saw those, I know it was when a Bush was in office! Even the fact that I was willing to take a selfie is a NSV in itself. I really needed that motivation, too. Have been becoming complacent recently, so thank you God!
What's your recent NSV?
I can wear my size 30 (European woman size) pants my mom bought for me about 2 years ago for the first time ever!!!
My skirts feel more comfortable. Even though I haven't lost that much weight since lockdown turns out I've lost a couple inches off my hips and waist, so that exercise is paying off in a different way!
I bought a size 6 of my favorite brand of jeans with hoped that I could shrink into them eventually (wanted some inspiration in the closet). They came today so I tried them on to see how far I have to go. THEY FIT!!!!!!! They are a bit stretchy, which helps, but I don't think I've ever worn a 6. I went through puberty and immediately into a 10 and then 12s and 14s, and sometimes 16s.
I moved form obese category 3 to 2! I can definitely feel the change already!
Such a great feeling!! Congratulations!!
Thank you! It definitely is, although it hasn't quite landed yet. I'm finally feeling good enough to do some actual exercising that isn't it stretching. It's been terrifying but I'm sure I will be able to do normal workouts soon enough!
In a size ten (uk) top this morning, and dress yesterday. Even though I know that's mostly the fabric and cut (I'm a 14 really, going off measuring tape) I'll take the win!
A few from me:
I moved from starting at stage 3 obese to stage 1 obese today.
Starting UK size 22 and now a size 16/18
Started T25 and didn't have to use the modifier for all the exercises (about 50/50 at the moment)

So I guess that we ran a little faster (I don't do fast, in fact, most people can probably walk faster than I can run).
