Quiet week for me here, worked out often but TOM weight is holding on till probably Monday as per normal.
I am off work next week for a stay cation and plan to come on a bit more frequently. I hope all you guys have a fab weekend.
I am very happy to extend this group!

We're in the same boat! I hate how much TOM throws off my weight... It's really hard to stay motivated. I'm hoping by Tuesday or Wednesday next week I will be able to see my "real" weight again.

Great! We’ll extend the motivation to August 31st. Please think about your next goal and you can share it with the team the first week of July. Do you have any ideas for the new name? I believe I have to contact MFP customer service to change the group name.

My weigh goal is 15 lbs by the end July. I may be very close as I am now at 12 lbs lost. I may be one or two lbs short as I am not able to workout. We’ll see where I end up. I am still happy with weigh loss. This group has helped me so much! 😊💪

Correction- my weigh goal is 15 lbs by the end is June (145).
  • I'm struggling. I'm still walking on the treadmill 1-2 times a day, but food has been hard. I've not been able to get back to 206, but I've been maintaining 208s. And while the treadmill hasn't really much help me lose weight, I feel its helped with my shape. My hips don't feel or look as wide. Thats a bonus.

I'm working Sunday clear thru this coming Saturday, so 7 days in a row. I was offered overtime and couldn't pass it up. I've got all my lunches and snacks figured out and I'm now working on my dinners.

My newest problem though is that I've developed a blister under the toe closest to my big toe on both feet and they hurt! Im thinking that this is either from walking weird, my shoes, or possibly athlete's foot. My feet sweat terribly and I'm in my shoes and on my feet 12+ hours after my morning walk, working 8 hours, then walking on the treadmill again. My shoes seem to fit okay and they ventilate well, but maybe they're the problem.

I'm disappointed in myself for not making the 15lbs, or any where near it really, but I'll have to jump in on the next challenge (if there is one) and try again.

It’s ok not to make the goal each time. It’s not ok to give up totally. It’s just gonna take longer than you wanted it to.

And long term it is better to lose weight slowly in terms of keeping it off permanently

Hello, everyone! I've been away but I'm back! Had a pretty regular week and gearing up for repacking the essential only stuff we unpacked since we are moving June 29th. I'm cooking ahead and freezing for that week. Today's Father's Day and I'm planning to be careful.

@Paz922 Thanks for extending the motivation goal deadline to August 30! New name: What about Twelve Down by August 30? I've liked the name of this group. You're essential in helping us all out!

@cupcakesandproteinshakes Hi, there. You sound like you're having some challenging times. I admire the extra hours you're volunteering to work. It takes a lot of stamina and determination to do what you are doing. Remember the fable of the tortoise and the hare? The slow but determined turtle won the race with the speedy but careless hare! You can succeed with your determination, but also take a look at the challenges you have at present with the long hours of work. Don't beat yourself up. You can overcome this period. Having had knee surgery, I'd like to recommend the stationary bike over the treadmill which is easier on the joints and the feet. Maybe you can consider this one day. You might want to check in with your doctor as to what is recommended to alleviate the blisters.

Can anybody tell me how to insert emojis? duuuhh....! :# I get symbols but no faces???

    Here are the stats:

    SW: 156.8 5-27
    CW: 148.3 6-21
    GW: 130

    Have a good Sunday!

I’m so happy about this extension. It has taken me 6 weeks to get in a groove. Now I’m swimming and really working out as well as logging faithfully so I am hoping to see some real results. I was bummed about “failing.” Now I can try again!

I've somehow managed to get close to my lowest (206) weight without exercising. I've just been eating only what I've logged and for once it seems to be working. Now, TOM is supposed to show up in a few days and I'm not looking forward to that. I've noticed that my sodium intake has been a lot less, so that may contribute to the loss, so im going to keep watching my sodium intake (Ive been at about half of what mfp suggests) and see what happens...especially thru that time of the month.

I haven't been on the treadmill in a few days, Id gotten blisters on my feet so I've been giving them time to heal. But I think im going to start back up tonight.

Ive also recently downloaded the HasFit app. Has anyone bought the year subscription? I see that they have many free workouts on the app (and youtube) but if you pay monthly/yearly they have like 30 day plans and stuff. Id really like to do that, but if anyone has any feedback that'd be awesome!

    Hi all
I have had a deliberate maintenance week. Lockdown restrictions slightly easing in the uk. Went to see my mum and the weather has been lovely and so I just wanted some ice cream and wine .My deficit is so small that it’s easy to wipe it out and so better not to be stressed hence diet break.

Scale up to 137 but I expected that. Will go back to a deficit on Monday. I currently have a small hangover from that 3rd glass of wine. I just needed to let off a little steam after being stuck at home mainly since the end of March.

This week was an accidental maintenance week for me...I’m okay though because I’m flexible on my goal and just need to lose at least 4-5 more pounds by August 31st to meet my first goal.

I bought a few new tops online and they look really good and I feel like I’ve made a lot of non-scale goals in terms of confidence. I’ve hated wearing shorts and tank tops even when I was really young because I hold a lot of weight in my upper arms (and have broad shoulders) as well as inner thighs, and I have a lot of stretch marks on my thighs because I’ve been anywhere from 88-135 pounds within 7 years.

I also woke up today at 7 am to go on a 4 mile run! I ran every day in March (but was eating poorly and wasn’t focused on weight loss goals) but stopped for all of April and May. I’m surprised I was able to build up to 4 miles again after about 5 runs within the past two weeks.

Everyone else who maintained or gained this week - we got this ! Don’t beat yourself up and just keep going and be proud of the progress you already made! And everyone who lost - amazing too ! I’m excited to see what July looks like for all of us :)

Hope everyone is doing well! I agree we should definitely extend the group! I love the accountability, motivation and support everyone offers here! This is an amazing group and I enjoy reading about our struggles and our accomplishments!! We are in this together and it isn't such a lonely road! We all have similar issues at one point or another. I'll make my July goal 8-10lbs. I have definitely changed my lifestyle and eating habits over the past 2 months. I feel like that has helped. I did feel like I was at a standstill for a bit which is always discouraging. I tried not to let it get me down and just kept on keeping on and it paid off. Here's to another successful month for ALL of us!! 🥂
