I’m sure there is more to focus on but I’m going to stick to the basics. ❤️6 -
🌸🌸 Obstacles don’t have to stop you. 🌸🌸
If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up.
Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

@Bex953172 - My daughter gave up on the homeschooling as well, the battles that were occurring was wreaking havoc on all of their mental health. She has gotten Jonah reading more, and he has made some things with his Grampie that has taught him measurements, he plays some games that require math skills so he's learning, just in different ways. He also started riding a bike, with stabilizers (we call them training wheels) and without. Previously he felt that a bike was a death trap and wasn't willing to learn.
I'm so happy you and Ash have turned a corner with depression, it is a terrible disease. I had a cousin lose his 28 year old son to suicide last week, he was a new father and it devastated everyone.
@SERmom3 - what a lovely picture of your girls! I can almost smell the grass! I will join you in your no chip challenge except for when we go camping the 17-20! I'll also add no Coke except for camping and after I finish the little cans I have at home this week. That will make such a difference to my waistline!
@AJB1014 - I agree that these little computers we hold in our hand need to be set aside. My biggest problem is in the evenings Rodger watches a lot of shows I don't like so I scroll through MFP and Facebook killing time. Once he goes to bed I watch some shows I like, but still end up on them because it seems that's when all my friends get chatty and start texting. How did you make out with the bookcase?
@ZizzyBumble - I'm so glad you'll be reunited with your husband. That was a long time under stressful circumstances when you could have really used him for support.

Falling off...
So vacation started and honestly I feel like the last week or so I’ve been falling off track.
Up until yesterday I had at least been still training like a animal even though I was over caloric goals... still think that’s not a good idea to meet my overall goals, some of it is emotional self destructive behavior as the local race season keeps getting cancelled locally due to COVID. Then when they did finally have one I was on travel day for vacation and now I’m no longer leading the series ):
To make matter even worse our vacation plans changed... didn’t go to Vermont because the guy we were renting the lake house from was not allowed to rent to us due to NC being a higher COVID population. We used our time share to get away and here we are in New Bern NC... which I have to say sucks . The rci place we have is great but everything is running 1/4 capacity. Also crappy weather and no access to trainer or gym...
I’ve busted my butt to get in best shape of my life and feel like i am watching it slip away.
Gonna set some goals again. Try to dig myself out of this funk.
Don’t even know what day it is but Today’s goal
No M&Ms
Try to do some sort of physical exertion (maybe a HITT workout w/ the gorilla bands?)
Two beers max
Stay green
Fruit as my snacks and not junk foods6 -

Tbh it was tough mentally, I think I prepared 3 days worth of stuff and I knew, right at the moment, I wouldn't hack it. So I did things you said too lol got them in the garden planting stuff (Casey's got a beetroot growing lmao) got them riding bikes etc. Got Marley fully potty trained night and day now lol!
And yeah I'm glad we're out of it, 6 damn years. I'm sorry to hear about your cousin's son, that really is so so sad
I'm lucky I never got to a point where I actually did anything, in fact I never had any intention of hurting myself but it doesn't stop you thinking about it time to time.
I think for me it was just like living in constant low-level despair. I could smile and say hello to others like at the school gates but underneath it all I was just living in this constant despair, that just never went away. For me that was bad enough, so for those like your cousin's son, I can't even imagine how it must feel.5 -

@Bex953172 BEEEEEXXXXXXX!!! I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU!!!!!! I missed you so much and have thought of you often! I'm glad the girls are doing well and that you and Ash have turned a corner. That's a really huge step!
So I've been gone a few days. I'm have a really hard time staying consistent. I did so well for like a full year in '17 I think and then since then, I've just haven't been able to. I hate it because when I was coming every day I dropped 30 lbs. Now I have 50 lbs to lose and can't keep myself doing the same things every day. It probably has something to do with the fact that I don't have much of a routine anymore. Although, now that Matt is back at work I've generally been getting up early with him and not sleeping until the early afternoon like before. That's been really nice. And we've both been going to bed early so I guess that's a step in the right direction, right?
Yesterday was the start of July's Novel Writing Month. My goal is 25k words which I'm pretty sure I'm going to knock out of the park quickly. I wanted to make a goal that I could achieve fairly easily and this I definitely can. I finished my outline and flushed it out decently well. I've gotten over 6k words written in two days. I wrote a bit this morning and am going to write some later this afternoon probably. I also should do some cleaning today too. Lol. I haven't done much recently.
JFT, 7/2/20
- Post
- Clean off kitchen table
- Gather laundry
- Perform ovu test
- Write another 1k words
- Clean off grill plate
- Actually cook dinner5 -

It's definitely due to the lack of routine! And getting into a routine is hard on its own!!
Maybe in 2017 you did do well, I did too til Casey decided to rent my womb lmao!
But since then, Im sure you've just had $h!t going on! Wasn't most of last year took up by Matt's mystery illness? And then he gets back on his feet then boom. Coronavirus. So basically poop hit the fan again so if I'm really honest, I'm not surprised at all that you can't nail down some proper routine because there is no routine!! Everything is different and we all know how hard it is to change routines!
Give it some more time, and some more thought and you might just see places where you can alter things despite all the craziness going on in the world!

@mytime6630 JOANNNNNNNNNNN! I've been so worried about you and hoping all is well! So happy to see you posting!
@azulvioleta40 I haven't seen your post yet, but it sounds like you've not been feeling well. I'm glad you are back and hope all is well!
@ZizzyBumble I'm SO sorry to hear about your mum. Hugs and love, friend. xoxo
I have so much to read up on, so I'm sure I'm missing many of you, but please know I've been thinking of you all! I'll catch up later tonight and try to take notes!
Thank you for the caring comments about the loss of my job. I'm working through it day by day, trying to do one thing at a time and put one foot in front of the other. I'm trying very hard to find medical coverage at a reasonable price, and if I can find that, then I think I will be able to just retire early and be done with it all. That would be so exciting, to be able to just spend the days enjoying life with my husband. But first, one step at a time and we will see how it all works out.
I hear there is a pic of baby Ray on here, so I'm going to have to dig until I find it!
@Bex953172 I cannot believe our baby Casey is already going to nursery! Where does time go?
@SERmom3 I love the picture of your girls going on picnic! Thanks for sharing!
More later.....(As I go back 12 pages and catch up... lol)

Thu 18: 149.2🤔
Fri 19: 149.4 🤓 I was wondering if this uptick is connected to the fact that I have started interval walking/jogging to get my steps in. I did a little research, and sure enough, there it was, in black and white. When you start jogging, the muscles hold on to fluid for muscle repair. Can be several lbs, and it sorts itself out when the body acclimatises, so I'm sticking with it until it settles down.
😂 Just when you think you have it all sorted, one little change throws it up in the air again. I'm guessing that this is temporary.
