I guess I didn’t post yesterday. We traveled to the campsite yesterday. I walked In the morning. Had a pretty healthy dinner, then a few too many drinks.

Today has been busy. Got up at 6:00 thisMorning and walked. Then we rented kayaks and had to paddle them from the marina to the beach, ~45 min. Spent the day at the lake, and then had to paddle the kayaks back to the marina. I’m toast!

No real goals today but relaxing.

I absolutely love kayaking. Its like the only watersport (? Is it a sport?) I've done!
It was only a rental too just whilst we were on holiday. We were staying on an island called Kalymnos. But we got a boat over to Telendos, and on there there's basically a very small beach and there was like maybe 3 or 4 businesses on there. So we would go and have lunch over their in the restaurant because it was just so peaceful and beautiful but you could rent kayaks to go out on between Telendos and Kalymnos. I remember from the first time trying it I loved it lol!

There's a lake right near me where you can go kayaking. Funnily enough ive never been. Cant imagine it would be as nice as the Agean Sea lmao!

@Bex953172 - I never would have dreamed the sugar! Maybe that’s what makes them so addictive.

@HEGoddard0928 - sounds like a great day yesterday.

Good day health wise. Stuck to eating plan, got in my walk. Only did part of my weights set. Having an issue with feeling nauseous when exerting this week so taking it easy.

Tomorrow we were supposed to get appliance deliveries (washing machine and garage fridge both broke last weekend) but I didn’t get a call. So I will have to eke out at least one more day with my currently clean clothes (or hand wash this weekend...was hoping it would get here first!).

Thanks for the support, everyone. It’s really nice to have this group to “talk” to. 😊

@littleblackskirt - I would struggle with a deal on chips (crisps 😉) too! So hard to resist. I would also log all my chips and typically have room for them In my daily calories, BUT that one ounce of chips is more that 10% of my calorie allotment. I have found it much easier to stay green this month without them.

    THURSDAY:
    - Log everything🟢 / stay green🔴
    - No chips🟢
    - Beach trip🟢
    - Pick up bday dinner and treats🟢
    - Prep for tomorrow’s bday poster/wrap presents🟢
    - Laundry🔴 / dishes🟢

Beach trip was fun and exhausting, but my middle daughter had a great birthday! Today is my youngest girl’s bday. We’re going on a bike ride. This is the first time we’re trying biking as a family. The youngest just learned to ride without training wheels back in March.

Funny, all the talk about McDonalds, because that’s what my daughter picked for her dinner tonight!

We’re planning a bday party this weekend, so I have a lot to do this afternoon to get ready for it.

    JFT FRIDAY:
    - Log everything / stay green
    - No chips!
    - Bike ride
    - Pick up B’s dinner and cake
    - Order cupcakes!
    - Make shopping list
    - Clean!

    JULY CHALLENGE:
In an attempt to refocus this month, I’ve decided to try and give up chips. This will be extremely difficult. I eat them almost daily. They are my weakness. I’m using a bikini as my emoji, since that will be a goal for next summer!

I am so excited for the day I can do a family bike ride!!
Saskias learnt, Marley has training wheels but she's far off from riding she has basically zero balance and trips over her own feet lol!
And Casey is obviously no where near close. I'm hoping though, when marley can do it properly that I can always stick Casey in a seat attached to the bike or something!

Well done on your no chops challenge! You're almost halfway! Keep going!!!

Not dietary lol. Years ago, I didn't know they existed, I doubt there was a McDonalds anywhere near me.
Now, I'd have to do a 25 mile round trip to get one, and it's situated in a housing estate, not in the town centre where I might pass it when shopping. Just doesn't seem worth the effort, I dislike going into town anyway!

Really omg lol! There's one 1.2 miles from me and one about 10 miles (but again a mile from previous house) lol!
Do you live in a remote area then kinda?

Fri 19: 149.4 🤓 I was wondering if this uptick is connected to the fact that I have started interval walking/jogging to get my steps in. I did a little research, and sure enough, there it was, in black and white. When you start jogging, the muscles hold on to fluid for muscle repair. Can be several lbs, and it sorts itself out when the body acclimatises, so I'm sticking with it until it settles down.
😂 Just when you think you have it all sorted, one little change throws it up in the air again. I'm guessing that this is temporary.

@kuhl50 - I hope that you get your delivery today and that they just forgot to call.

@littleblackskirt - I wish I had never had McDonald's, but man they are good fries! I grew up in an area that didn't have McDonald's or any fast food places actually as well. It would have been a 100 mile trip to the closest one. It was in 1986 when I moved to Ontario that McDonald's and I became fast friends. Then I moved back to NB in 88 and they still didn't have one, but then moved to Alberta in 96 and there is one on every street corner. I have two within a 3 minute drive from my house.

@SERmom3 - You are doing an incredible job with no chips! I need to mark down my days like you, maybe if I could see my streak it would help me keep it up. I avoided them again yesterday though! I hope your daughters enjoy their birthdays. My girls were 2 days apart, I remember well those joint parties.
I found some years worked better than others, some years the 2 year age difference seemed huge and other years not so much.

@pridesabtch - Hope you get some time for a nap today.

I am so glad today is Friday, I need a break.

      ❤GOOD MORNING EVERYONE
      It's Been A Long Time.
Posting in case you all have forgotten what Mary looks like... Lol.

Mary!! I, too, just jumped on today after a long long time to see how folks are doing. So happy to see you on here  . You have made great strides! Maybe you're up on some weight, or have stayed the same, but the fact that you have more stamina is huge. The important thing is that you are making progress. Just this week I repurposed to get back on the journey and finish my weight loss race. I have re-focused, am ready to sacrifice, track, and exercise even more than I have been---I started Monday and have lost two pounds. Again. LOL. But this time it feels like when I was intense. I haven't been hungry but I've had to battle through cravings. I had gained back 10 of my 30---I am not going back to my Egypt!!! I want to push through and get this done---I'm 58 and we want to live the rest of our days thriving and moving, don't we?! Loved seeing you on here. I think of you and the others often. Peace and joy .

      😍😁🤗🤗👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏 LMBO OK I think I have EMOJI'd out. Wait. One more😂
Yes ma'am. Awesome seeing you back. We're good for each other. I will be 56 on JULY 20.
Girlfriend you are so right about "not going back to Egypt". I feel ya.
Living is my motivation. Living on top of the world used to seem unattainable. As you know, everybody's not meant to have everything. But we all can have something. I want my better, greater life. I want and that's out of order of what David said in Psalm 23. The Lord is my SHEPHERD too. He's the Keeper of me. And while worldly things aren't necessary for HIM, He knows what we have need of here and it's for the asking. And when opportunities present themselves we go get it. And at times we have to get up and create our own opportunities. We have what it takes in us to make things happen and meet the needs we have. I am swinging these flabby arms and bouncing this belly girrrl. The struggle is real, but the pounds are going down.
CONGRATULATIONS on your return, THANK you for your show of love and sending this girl a shout out. Have a God Blessed weekend BEAUTIFUL lady.

Another inch of rain overnight & this morning (rain barrels FULL), had time to squeeze in dog walk after rain stopped. Had crazy busy (for me) work at home day. TGIF! Finally a chance to post JFT.

      Recap R 7/9
      1) Wake hubby early & transport his vehicle/him to/from car shop :)
      2) Move hourly / stairs breaks (basement to 2nd floor) / 5 somethings :s
      2) Search for halibut recipe / make couscous salad / net cals green / 14c water :( but supper delish
      3) Work from home / review audit request in preparation for tomorrow's call = 2x :)
      4) 4 home chores :) / maybe walk dog or x-train in evening? no energy, very hot & humid, thunderstorms moving in
      5) Unplug 9:00 ??? / floss  / retainers  / set alarm (walk dog early) raining anyway

      JFT F 7/10
      1) Walk dog 3.76 mi 1:05:23 cooler but at least 90% humid  happy dog & happy me
      2) Move hourly / stairs breaks (basement to 2nd floor) / 5 somethings
      2) Eating up leftovers / net cals green / 14c water
      3) Work from home / 9 a.m. call w/ JJO / 10:15 call w/ LTC guy / Facebook Live noon / submit daily & weekly status reports & update Project Status s/s

      2020 Goals:

      4) Take measurements & log on MFP monthly (I stopped as weight plateaued & went up) = 2.1.20 / 2.29.20 / 4.1.20 (forgot 3.31.20) / 5.1.20 (forgot 4.30.20) / 6.3.20 (forgot at ME again)
      5) Exercise 5-6x per week (minimum 4x) ~ mostly walking but include weights/circuit & other x-training
      6) Participate in race events ~ have planned 7 5Ks and 2 10Ks at minimum = Frenzy on the Fox 5K 49:36 ave. pace 15:29 / Seroogy's Valentine 5K 46:26.7 ave. pace 14:47 / Badger State Brewing 10K virtual race w/ dog on 4/2/20 1:44:16 ave. pace 16:33 / Prevention virtual 5K Fun & Fit Team on 5/2/20 I walked 3.48 mi w/ dog in 1:01:10 ave. pace 17:33 / RonaRunOff 5/16/20 virtual walk 5.08 miles with dog in 1:23:15 ave. pace 16:23 / 100 Miles Challenge fundraiser (per fitness tracker) & completed 5/18/20 / Bellin Run 10K virtual race w/ dog on 6/6/20 1:41:03 ave. pace 16:14 dog definitely slows my "race pace"
