    I’m sitting in my garden and just had a close encounter with a ruby-throated hummingbird who hovered about 2 feet from my face for a few seconds. Several gold-finches are flitting around the Black-eyed Susans, coneflowers, and sunflowers, and sparrows are picking up nesting material (aka weeds and grass) I pulled out of the beds and tossed on the lawn. And no lawn mowers! Just birdsong and cicadas. Off for a walk now, and I have today’s menus all planned. Have a lovely Friday, all.

    Snacked a little last night — popcorn — but I’m keeping calories under control. I’m itching to dig new beds in the garden but we’re under a heat advisory the next couple of days so maybe not. I’ll get an early walk in, though. Yay, Saturday!

    Muggy Sunday! At least there’s a breeze. My garden seems pretty happy! Be well, everyone.

    Ok, back on track. It’s a gorgeous day here, so I’m off for a walk, then working on taking out lawn on the side of the house. Planning to fill it up with mostly natives plus some colorful annuals (sunflowers, zinnias....). The less lawn, the better— that’s my motto! 🌻🌸🌱

    Another beautiful day unfolding here. Right now I’m sitting in my garden watching hummingbirds courting, a bunny munching clover, sparrows redecorating a nest in the maple, and listening to a hawk I can’t spot in the bright sky. I really should get up and do something. Oh wait! I am doing something! Have a lovely, everyone.

    Aww, come on. I almost didn’t record this! I know this is water — can’t gain 2 lbs of fat in a day — but I don’t know why. I haven’t had a high sodium day in a while. So frustrating. My fat cells really do think this is about where we belong, apparently. Gaaa! I really want to hit <180 — or close — this round and I’ve stayed on track for the most part. Going to beat up a few bags of top soil in my new garden bed.

    Skipped RND#108-RND#119 - I struggled during this work-from-home isolation. Ate too much, didn't work out enough. I am.just glad I didn't put on MORE weight. My gym is open, so I'm back and working out... and generally feeling less depressed and more positive than I had since the world went insane back in Feb & Mar. Hope you all are hanging in!

    7/16 163.0lbs, 35.2%bf; 6h38m/85 - good sleep! Mostly a great workout, but got a little light headed at the end. The rest of the day was busy. Glad to be getting back on track!
    7/17 162.4lbs, 35.0%bf; 6h28m/81 - up for bit in the middle of the night - again. A little sore.
    7/18 164.2lbs (?? why ??) 35.5%bf; 5h45m/71 - slept straight through, but clearly not long enough. Out early doing yardwork since it will be SO hot today.
    7/19 163.6lbs, 35.3%bf; 8h18m/91!!! Got up a couple times during the night but was always able to get back to sleep.
    7/20 162.8lbs, 35.2%bf; 4h16m/59 - well, that certainly isn't good rest. It's too hot.
    7/21 162.8lbs, 35.2%bf; 6h50m/84 - better! So frigging hot! 🔥
    7/22 162.6lbs, 35.1%bf; 6h36m/77 - struggled with sleep again. Had a good workout and did better with my eating.

    @fmfdfa2020 - Thank you! I lost most of it in 2018 and then just kind of maintained/gained a little back in 2019. So it definitely hasn’t been a perfect journey but I’m Hoping to actually reach my goal weight in 2020.
