7/28: DNW, been a little out of sorts after a fabulous bike wreck. Took a week off of everything. Appetite was crazy, exercise was forbidden (concussion & Contusions everywhere), and it was TOM. I honestly just didn't want to look at the scale. Tomorrow I take the blinders off and assess the damage...

Round 121 goal: Maintain (0.0) (adjusted from 2.0)
7/26: 235.2 (+1.6)/20.2 (+0.2). I had some company over last night (social-distancing on the outdoor patio), and I had a "cheat-meal" and three drinks. The meal was more of a quantity issue than quality; I'm going to treat it like the "slip" it was. I have another "outing" this evening (outdoor social-distancing visit) with my wife at my brother-in-law's home. I'm not sure what we're eating, but I'm going to go into it with portion control (and no more more than a drink or two) in mind.
7/27: 235.8 (+0.6)/20.2 (0.0). I went to with my wife to my brother-in-law's yesterday, and "it could have been worse." I had a couple of drinks, I ate reasonably (probably 1.5 times what I would have had if I was alone), and it's really hard to stay on target when I'm not completely in control of everything. Spending time with others twice in a short weekend (every other weekend is three days for me) is unusual. I'm going to be 100% on-plan for the next five days (including this one). Let's see how long it takes to get back to where I was this past Friday. I'm adjusting my goal for this week, hoping that I can end up where I started at the end of last challenge.
7/28: 234.8 (-1.0)/20.1 (-0.1). It always feels good to see the scale move in the right direction. I stuck to my plan 100% yesterday, I had lots of water, and I got lots of rest. My back is feeling MUCH better, although it's "tender" in one spot that does not make much sense to me. I used Salonpas on it a couple of times, in that one spot, but I haven't used it for at least four days. It remains very sensitive in that one spot, but not sensitive in a "back pain" sort of way. It feels almost like I had a really bad sunburn, but only in that spot. Nothing is swollen, and the area has no discoloration or redness. Maybe it's time to contact my doctor.

Yes! I did it!! Getting under 140 has been a major barrier for me for over a year! I’ve just been bouncing up and down the 140s/150s. I’m 30 years old and haven’t been in the 130s since I was 18!15 -
Ready for round 121 {58th for me}
OSW 88KG
RSW 59.15 kg (-28.85kg) or {-63.6 lbs}
I reached my ultimate goal of 58kg in round 118 then totally sabotaged myself ending up the biggest I've been this year! Goal this round is to finish at 58.x kg. Also starting a new training regime for a month so I'll see how that affects weight and measurements
07/26 60.1kg...late night wine and nuts on top of no activity . Not like the new me. Today will be better
07/27 61.25kg before workout but still not good. Starting new exercise program this week. Let's see how it goes. Similar pattern to last week. Need to stop weekend excess
07/28 61.0kg before workout (60 kg after!) which is all about heavy lifting. Looking to get leaner and stronger even if weight doesn't go down much.

About me:I love learning about food and everything about it; from the way it acts in the body to learning to cook a new recipe. I went to school for nutrition (got my bachelor's) but I didn’t become an RD because it didn’t feel like the path for me. I guess I wanted to keep it as more of an interest instead of a career. I then went into public health to further my education and I currently help medically complex patients by connecting them with community resources to improve their health and life. I enjoy helping family and friends when they ask for advice related to food and nutrition. Plus, it helps me brush up on what I spent so much time learning!Previous days’ entries
I’m here because when I’m not paying attention to what I eat, I start to gain and feel uncomfortable in my body. For me that results in frustration and a lot of other emotions. It has also increased my cholesterol in the past (It’s good now as far as I know thanks to diet and exercise). I have a family history of diabetes, heart disease, and all that fun stuff. So, I want to prevent that for myself by getting a hold of my food habits now.
I’m always open to conversation about food and nutrition, so feel free to reach out to me!07/26 117.2 Starting at the same weight I ended in round 119 thanks to eating a whole lot of salt on Friday after our hike. As semblances of normal life start creeping back in like takeout food, I find it harder to resist. Especially when it’s right in my face (Like my in-laws ordering takeout and wanting us to eat upstairs with them). I have a hard time saying no to those things because I enjoy them. One positive is that I feel like I did well last week and made a huge volume of summer squash to go with a minimal amount of Chinese food I ended up eating (maybe 1 cup worth of General Tso’s chicken, one chicken finger, and ½ cup pork fried rice, a fried dough ball, then a mountain of sautéed zucchini/summer squash). That method worked pretty well, I felt satisfied afterwards, but it took a while to feel full. I wanted to eat more but resisted.
I know I said going into this it would be tough because the lower you go the harder it is to get to the goal number at my height. I just need to remind myself of that and keep on chugging because I love the changes I have seen and feel very comfortable in my own skin. I just don’t want to feel uncomfortable again…which can happen if takeout becomes a habit.
So cheers to a new round with a new focus and challenges of not letting takeout food get in the way of my success.
07/27 117.2 Solid start to the day with a good soccer workout before the 100 degree plus humidity weather rolls in. I made a new batch of granola yesterday and added some crushed up brown rice cakes to it to add some bulk without a lot of calories. I’m excited to try it with my fruit and yogurt for breakfast.
It’s CSA pick up today and I got an email saying there will be peaches in it, so I’m very excited to try those! I love in season and local peaches! They are so so yummyyyyy! We’ll also be getting kohlrabi which will be fun to cook with! I love kohlrabi just sliced and munched on raw. So much yummy produce is really going to start rolling in and I’m so excited about it!
I’m also feeling refreshed after my mini vacation last week of having Wednesday to Friday off work.
07/28 118.0 Salt is not my friend. Had Thai food last night and wasn’t over on anything numbers wise. Done with takeout for a while. My husband really wanted it last night and I caved because it sounded way too good as I was really hungry at the time. Bleck, now I pay. Hoping the water weight doesn’t stick around because it doesn’t feel good being all swollen. I felt it in my fingers and face this morning and hoping it fades.
Besides that, we went for a really nice walk this morning at around 5ish miles and it included blackberry picking! So that was fun coming home with about a pint of wild black berries to accompany our CSA blueberries, apples, and peaches in the fridge. I have healthy food all planned out for today and planning to stick to it.

07/28 …..209.8 ….. One of the many things I’m going thru right now is the health of my very last pet, my cat Reeces. She is just over 20 years old . Diagnosed about 8 months ago with kidney issues (mild liver issues too). Her health began deteriorating severely and rapidly over the weekend. Her weight dropped quickly and I’ve been having to dropper feed her water, flavorless pedialyte and lactose free milk. No vet open on the weekends in this rural area. She began to do a little better on the eating front and is eating bits of cat food too, but her weight is down to 4 pounds (usually about 5.5 in her older age). I know that suffering does not always equal pain. For sure, sometimes suffering does not ever involve actual pain at all. So I will travel today to her far-away doctor who has cared for her the entire 20 years and, of course, I will discuss appetite increasing pills, antibiotics etc but I think I already know what he is going to say, so I am trying to prepare myself. I am a total mess right now. In the past 20 years I have had my children grow up and leave. I’ve gotten divorced and been a single mother. I’ve remarried for 15 years and then became a widow. I have had and loved many many dogs and cats (loving pets) in those 20 years. I’ve lost parents, friends, my sister. But Reeces has always been here with me, through it all. My mainstay. Sorry this is so gloomy, friends. I am just beside myself. Please pray for whatever is right for her today. She deserves the very best treatment or send-off, whichever is necessary and humane at this time.

7/26: 171 nice round number to start R121
7/27: 170.1 Glimpse of the "0" back from last round. Lots of gym activities for me over the weekend. A bit worried going into the week. The gym is not as ready of an option with my work/sleep routine; and mother-nature is dishing out extreme heat which doesn't work out well for me walking outside during my lunch time. Tune in tomorrow to see how I resolve this activity quandary!
7/28: 169.8 Blessed with a cooling rain so a nice evening for my walk. Can't credit the BIG 3 oz loss solely to that. All I can say is don't mistakenly take a magnesium supplement instead of your crazy pill on an empty stomach. In a desperate attempt to keep what is likely not a fat loss, I just got back from a fasted hour walk in the low 80's sunshine. Plan to take the pup on a shorter one when it cools off this evening--gotta stay on her good side.9 -

Yet again thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.

Goal for this round – re-lose those 2 pounds ! - get back to & stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, really want to keep the 10 days binge free! Day/Weight/Comment
07/26 136.2 what !!!! 453 calories in credit, but 23 carbs over – 9.79 miles walked yesterday.
07/27 135.6 – only 3.74 miles walked yesterday, (travelled up to take DGS#1 out for the day), hence 54 calories and 75 carbs over. DGS#2 placed on transplant list last night
07/28 134.4 – 9.78 miles walked yesterday, 623 calories in credit, all macros well in green. I am gutted; I am 2 years too old to become a living liver donor to DGS, but encouraging news is that so many of my extended family have also volunteered, lets hope that one of them is compatable and he holds on till a suitable donor can be found – he is very ill now

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 121 (round 53 for me ) I'm in for another round (of course!) – I need to just keep going! Yet again thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Goal for this round – re-lose those 2 pounds ! - get back to & stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, really want to keep the 10 days binge free! Keep calm, wash hands, be kind and follow all latest Government guidelines for C-19 virus.End of round 69 134.2 lbsKeep calm – we're all in this together!

@deepwoodslady - so sorry you are going through this with your very supportive rock of a puss cat - I am sure you will have the courage and love for her to do what is right at the right time. Your animal doctor will guide you in the right direction, sending you and puss lots of loving supportive hugs xxx4

@deepwoodslady - Prayers that you will know in your heart when time is right, and strength thereafter
@Shortgirlrunning - Congrats on being 30 as well as in your 130's. Good job!
@HoopsGuy72 --Please see a doc re: your back, especially because there are no visual oddities. It is 2020--can't be too careful!
@ltf271030 --Can I have your pie? I would find a way to make a piece of it a meal within my calorie goal each day until no crumb was left! (I would share with @_JeffreyD_ but he is busy crossing his fingers and trying to keep his mouth shut!--so funny!)

7/26: 220.6 Yesterday’s number was a big drop, I said then that a lot of it was probably water. Just balancing out today.
7/27: 221.4 My scale was acting weird last night (display light on and flickering when it hadn’t been touched since that morning) and I had to replace the battery this morning, so I can totally blame this bump on that, right? In all seriousness, I’m still lower than three days ago...still balancing out that big one-day drop, I guess. Follow the trend, not the fluctuations. It’s why I post the chart.
7/28: 222.6 Right...there’s no “just balancing out the fluctuations” or “follow the trend” here. I had a mini fast food binge yesterday, and I gained. Time to get back on track.

I would use my crossed fingers to pry my mouth open for a piece of pie. :-)5
