7/28: DNW, been a little out of sorts after a fabulous bike wreck. Took a week off of everything. Appetite was crazy, exercise was forbidden (concussion & Contusions everywhere), and it was TOM. I honestly just didn't want to look at the scale. Tomorrow I take the blinders off and assess the damage...
7/29: 171.4, not as bad as I thought it would be. I had a late dinner last night and with TOM, it is probably 170.x in reality. I can deal with that. Thanks for the "hugs" all.
7/30: 172.2, Well yesterday was awful food wise, I had 2 pieces of pie and some Great American Cookie cookie cake. Barely exercised. I gotta get back on board before I completely self destruct!
7/31: 171.4, Moving in the right direction despite my lack of exercise. The headaches are back so I'm guessing the concussion isn't quite healed yet. Grrrrr... No the less, I can do this. Maybe by the end of the round I'll be back to where I was at the beginning of the round. No harm no foul.
8/1: 171.0 crazy day today. Up at 2:00am, drive 2.5 hours, drop off surprise to my niece in quarantine then drive back. Had breakfast at iHop, so chances are good I’ll be over today. At the doc right now getting my hand x-rayed . Good news, just a bone bruise. Yay!

7/28 - 57.0kg, holding steady, not much walking because I'm dog-sitting 24/7 and she is not allowed to walk :-/

7/29 - 67kg, the heaviest I've been in a while. Had a pretty tough couple of weeks and can't do much working out because of an injury. Going to be more consistent with the light cardio and yoga that I can do though. I'll do my best to hold myself accountable!
7/30 - 66.6kg, looks like my body is getting rid of all the extra food I've eaten in the weeks before starting this challenge. Also happy to see that early dinner yesterday and just tea in the evening worked well! Really trying to get into the habit of not eating too late.
7/31 - 66.6kg, went out for a bike ride, but had some unhealthy snacks later on. Gotta remember it's not perfection I'm aiming for but balance and healthy results.
8/01 - 66.7kg, yesterday's eating caught up with me. Today was such a good day! Drank lots of water, did a light workout, ate healthy foods and had dinner early, then went for a walk. Feeling great ☺️

I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
July: focus is on improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale
Aims:
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅JGM10D ~|~ Round 120 🔹Posting weight and comments each evening.
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

07/26 - 326.9 - Huge uptick. Overate yesterday and my last meal got me sick and bloated. Not sure if it was undercooked (ribs) or something else, but I'll be preparing them differently next time.
07/27 - 329.0 - Strictly an excess of calories over the weekend. Prolly why I felt ill over the weekend (too much food). I'll be interested to see how much I drop by Saturday weight-in, since it normally reflects the largest, final, end-of-the-week drop.
07/28 - 324.2 - I knew it would drop, but with two small workouts (one aerobic, one weights), the drop was more than I hoped. I'm almost back to where I was Saturday morning. Sometimes you just find the *thing* that clicks and works for you. Over the years, like SO many, I've tried a variety of things. And then I just stumbled across intermittent fasting. I started with the standard 16:8 and slowly moved over to 20:4. I began watching Dr. Jason Fung, who is probably the formost authority on the subject and he spoke of alt. day IF. I worked up the nerve to try it. For someone that LOVES to eat, like I do, it was ALOT of nerve. I'm now starting my fourth week. Per Dr. Fung, there is no reason why the loss won't continue. Now down about 15 lbs. in those 3+ weeks. A little fast, but one by-product is that the loose skin gets eaten from autophagy/ketosis. And there are numerous other health benefits, too, not just the weight loss. I'm just very excited that something works that doesn't limit the foods I eat
07/29 - 327.7 - I always expect the uptick the day after eating. A little high since I drink so much in the morning, but I'm still OK since the weekly trend is down. I try to focus only on the Saturday weigh-in week over week.
07/30 - 323.5 - And the beat goes on... I'm gonna be close to making my medium range goal, but just losing 100 lbs. seems so distant.
07/31 - 324.6 - Only a 1 pound uptick. Looks like I might have a shot at making my goal for this round, IF I can get in 2 workouts before tomorrow's weigh-in. Made it to the gym this afternoon. Got a decent back workout in, plus 30 mins. on an eliptical (@ 75% heart rate 161 bmp max x .75 = 121 avg.)
08/01 - 322.6 - Not quite there, but I've still got 3 days. The good part is that the last weigh-in day is right after a 42 hour fast.

Literally went back on track one day before this started, so it's my first round!
I pretty much let it all go during the quarantine — exercise and diet. I was anxious, depressed, stressed out... Anyways, I'm slowly regaining control over my habits and I'm finally ready to set some health/nutrition goals.
This round's goals: track weight evey day; 1400-1600 calories (very small deficit); >100g protein;

07/26 - 83.4 kg (183.9 lbs) - Hit my goals with a few calories to spare Not exercising for now (will start in a few days).
07/27 - 82.7 kg (182.3 lbs) - Didn't hit my protein goal, ate some chocolate instead. It's okay, stayed within my calories, which is the most important part. Part of what made me quit in the past was trying to be too restrictive or beating myself up for not being perfect. So I'm practicing kinder self talk this time. Also, cravings will subside at least a little bit with time, these first days are the hardest.
07/28 - 82.5 kg (181.9) - Day went by pretty fast, nothing to comment really.
07/29 - 82.3 kg (181.4 lbs) - Went for a long walk. Forgot to update the weight here in the forum, but I am staying consistent with my goals for this round.
07/30 - 82.1 kg (181 lbs) - Went a little crazy on the bread. Calories still on point, but was about 5g short on protein 🙄 Anyways, weight will definitely go up with the extra carbs.
07/31 - 82.6 kg (182.1 lbs) - (told ya) Day went by pretty smoothly
08/01 - 82.2 kg (181.2 lbs) - I felt very sleepy most of the day. I cooked some chicken with veggies for me and my dad. He loved it Tomorrow I'll finally take some body circumference measurements and start working out again.5 -

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! hurts! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 121 (round 53 for me ) I'm in for another round (of course!) – I need to just keep going! Yet again thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !

07/27 135.6 – only 3.74 miles walked yesterday, (travelled up to take DGS#1 out for the day), hence 54 calories and 75 carbs over. DGS#2 placed on transplant list last night
07/28 134.4 – 9.78 miles walked yesterday, 623 calories in credit, all macros well in green. I am gutted; I am 2 years too old to become a living liver donor to DGS, but encouraging news is that so many of my extended family have also volunteered, lets hope that one of them is compatible and he holds on till a suitable donor can be found – he is very ill now
07/29 134.4 - 364 calories in credit, 3g fat over. DGS update; my niece's husband is a potential match for live donor, awaiting blood results and a scan on Friday, just hope the dear little one can hold on that long

07/31 135.4 - 4.5 miles walked, over on calories & other macros, also didn't get all water in; took elder DGS out for the day to a country park.
08/01 134.8 – 10.4 miles walked yesterday, 558 calories in credit, all other macros in green. More importantly a liver (or part of an adults liver) has become available for my tiny DGS – in fact he is actually in theatre as I type undergoing the major surgery to give him a future, so hopeful that this is successful. (Fingers and everything else possible crossed !)
08/02 135.6? - 10.22 miles walked yesterday, 430 calories in credit and all other macros in green. DGS liver transplant went really, along way to recovery, but he now has a chance, I'm so relieved and grateful for a wonderful surgeon, supporting team, the donor (RIP) and his/hers grieving family & friends . Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and good wishes, so much appreciated.

07/30 256lbs So am trailing the Rouvy app on my phone to see if it will make static cycling any more fun...and I’ve got to say it does make you more invested in the actual cycling and I did a lot more work than just sitting there at a constant pace. All in all still keeping to the plan and having faith.

07/28: 134.5 | Birthday was yesterday, so an impromptu visit from my parents was accompanied by an impromptu cherry pie. Along with testing out some other foods/recipes earlier in the day, definitely went over the calorie count. I didn't feel comfortable turning it away, but will probably just throw the leftovers away (sorry mom! It is very good, I promise!). Recommitting myself today.
07/29: 133.2 | Sort of recommitted myself; ate only half a piece of leftover pie. Had some great Mediterranean food from Aladdin's (regional restaurant chain based in Ohio, with some locations in surrounding states). Stayed within the calorie count, so gonna keep up that progress and ensure at least some weight is lost this round...

07/26- 185.2 had a great day worked out and spent the day by the pool so excited for this loss finally but worried if I can maintain it
07/27 184.8 finally some movement, eat less than normal since my stomach was bothering me. Took a day off from workout
07/28 183.8 another good day it seems, I am scared to believe it is true. I worked out and was under for my calories.
07/29 184.4 completed my work out and under on calories
07/30 184.4 went to beach and made sure I squeezed in arms workout before my sons baseball game. Eating was good but not perfect
07/31 184.6 good first half of the day and completed my workout but was really hungry and a little stressed and made poor choices after dinner
08/01184.4 I am pleased that I stayed the same. Took a rest day from workout and went out to lunch with friends and splurged a little.
08/02 185, completed strength workout and Long Beach walk and on point with calories but had a lot of sodium. Will try to flush it out today
