08/05 - 145.8 - I think that this is my 28th round, so it will be 280 days. 12 pounds lost in 27 rounds. Mostly a downward trend with around 5 rounds where it went up. Loving the accountability and the posts here.

Welcome! It's a great group of people and has personally made all the difference for me. It makes me want to continue tracking my food. It's also enjoyable talking with people on the same journey regardless of each person's number at the end of each round.5 -

8/5: 233.4 (0.0)/20.0 (0.0). I had some leftovers for dinner from the in-laws' visit on Monday; while delicious, it is NOT healthy food, nor does it fit within my current plan. I informed the wife I would not be partaking in any more leftovers this week. I feel right now like I extended my weekend unnecessarily, and I'm a little bit pi$$ed about it. I'm going to take that energy and get myself back on track. I felt an urge not to post yesterday (final day of previous round), because I was disappointed in myself (mostly my scale reading, I guess). I'm sticking with this, though. And sticking with it means weighing in and posting every day that it's feasible.

I was really into running last summer! (I currently enjoy walking and sprinting/running on grass and doing soccer related drills. Last summer, I realized my body is just not made for long-distance. I had too many injuries.)
What distances do you enjoy?1 -
JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 122 (round 54 for me ) I'm in for another round (of course!) – I need to just keep going! As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Goal for this round – I really need to take myself in hand and get a move on, these extra pounds are settling on me too easily and I don't like it; but I've only got myself to blame. So I need to try to lose 1.5 pounds ! Our bathroom is being refurbished now for the next 3 weeks; miles will be more difficult to achieve whilst the workmen are here, but I'll try to get an hour or so in before they arrive and then some in the evening around commitments with MIL's care. I know I've said it before , but I need to get back to & stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, really want to keep the 10 days binge free!End of round 69 134.2 lbsKeep calm – we're all in this together! 🏖🎡🎍🌳🍄 AUGUST🍄🌳🎍🎡⛱
🌾🎍🌵🌴🌳🏖🎡⛱🌳🌴🌵🎍🌾
Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
August focus: improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale
Aims:
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅JGM10D ~|~ Round 122 🔹Posting weight and comments each evening.
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ Working on it. Strength training has slowed progress, but that’s okay.
That's a WIN in my book!
2020
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! hurt! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

@quiltingjaine Thank you for posting the video on Carbs vs Net Carb. Very interesting. 🧐 I eat a lot of vegetables and seeds. Chia seeds and spinach are in a lot of my recipes. But I’m going to keep a closer watch on the Carbs. I’ll keep tracking 😊1
