13 yrs later, 50th birthday, 168 lbs:

Still have 10-15 lbs to lose but I finally got below 140 which I’ve been trying to do for a year so I wanted to share!

The pic on the left would normally be way out of my comfort zone.... but at 45 I’m not really bothered now, I’m not fully ok but feel better about it. It has taken a lot of discipline and commitment but today I finally hit 170lb (169.9 to be exact) it took me 20 months but these 2 pics are from this year, right is 01.01.20 and left is today. You can do this, stay positive, stay focussed, remain consistent and if people put brick walls in your way... knock em down👊👊63 -

This thread is my fave. So motivating! This is January - today, -10 lbs (141 to 131)..... about halfway to my body composition goals but feeling confident I can get there at this slow and steady pace 💪🏼

Crazy what 2 + years of a healthy lifestyle can do 😊 Remember: they are tiger stripes not stretch marks 😉...So, heck yeah, I’m going wear a two piece bathing suit at the pool 👙85 -

Great job! Tomorrow is my 1 year fitnesspal anniversary apparently....364 streak today, 2 lb from the goal weight I set a year ago, seemed like a good time to check out the community posts, and share my photos/journey; 80 lbs crept up on me slowly in a decade...it took 1 consistent, accountable and disciplined year to lose. If somebody is just starting and in need of motivation, I hope this helps.

Hi, I'm feeling very nervous as I've never posted before, let alone a before/after. I was browsing everyone else's pics and thought I couldn't post because I'm not at my goal yet. Then I realised what a visible transformation I've gone through and that I absolutely could still post!
What strikes me is not just my physical change, but change in attitude too. Even though at my very thinnest I look great, you can see that I used to be shy and lacked confidence, whereas years of experience have taught me to be much more outgoing, bold, and generally happier - despite not reaching my target yet (I would like to regain the 60kg number on the scale from my youth!)

Such an amazing transformation, very well done.5 -
Total loss of 5st 5lb (75lbs) in 7 months 😄, Starting at 18st 2.8lb at the beginning of January and having just gone past my goal of 13st 0lb on Monday. I'm thinking i will just carry on losing those extra lbs whilst im motivated to.
My fitness pal has completely proven that i can eat what i want, when i want, as long as im counting those calories! Im currently so happy, but going to reassess my target and potiently go down to 11st 7lb.
This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions and seemed so impossible at the start, it just goes to show what is possible when you put your mind to it!
Stay motivated and stay positive !

I have 8 lbs to go I want to be between 130 & 135 . I’m 5”1 Wasn’t easy but took me almost 1 yr. you can do it, I have been to many nutritional Dr’s but not one helped me all they wanted to do was push pills ! I have IBS so this has been a journey to eat healthier in addition to weight loss . I eat as much organic & grass fed meats as I can afford, use my food scale & only go out to dinner to eat anything I want 2x a yr my b-day & my grandma b-day . But I found my body doesn’t do well with sugar any longer . As I used to eat lots of chocolate & deserts .Has been whole life style change I’m feeling more flexible enabling me to exercise now . Never going back to fat thighs painfully rubbing together !20

Today is my one year anniversary!
In January of 2019 I went gluten free, in July of 2019 I visited the ER and found out I have gallstones. After meeting with a surgeon, he said I could avoid surgery for many years if I adjusted my diet—no red meat, no pork, basically high fat foods. So, in my attempts to not have surgery I started back on the weight loss bandwagon. What I didn’t realize on that day was how much I would enjoy being thin and in shape. Today, I can walk for miles and miles, even run-I ran a 5K! I can run up 50-60 flights of stairs without stopping, I have an incredible amount of energy, and I really like the way I look.
How did I accomplish my goals: Eat Less, Move More. It really is CICO, plain and simple. No need for Keto or crazy hard workout videos. Count your calories and walk.
Height: 5 foot 2
Starting Weight: 190 pounds. 2XL shirts and Size 16 pants
Current Weight: 124 pounds. Size Small Shirts and Size 4/6 pants
Original Goal Weight: 135 by today 8/8/20
New GW: 120 by 12/31/20
Total Loss: 66 pounds, 4 shirt and pant sizes
