This morning I went to an aerial yoga class on impulse! Literally signed up an hour before the class started and rushed out the door to cycle 10K to a studio I’ve never been to. The last time I’ve done aerial yoga was in 2014.
Feels great to feel impulsive, get outside my comfort zone and (somewhat scale related) not worrying about whether my weight would be a problem.23 -
I was able to paint my toes! My belly wasn’t in the way preventing me from reaching them!27

Realizing that the new clothes I got not to long ago to fit my new size is starting to fall off without a belt.17

Today I finally made Zwift Category B 3.3w/kg8

I picked up some athletic capris at the thrift shop. Couldn’t try them on because dressing rooms are closed right now, but I figured since they were a size small and stretchy, they would be nicely snug but not too tight, which is how I like my athletic wear.
Nope, they were too big. They are still wearable but the stomach gaps a bit. Can’t believe a size small of any sort would fit like that.21 -
Decided to check my blood pressure and it’s now in the healthy range of 115/75 compared to 5 months ago at 136/74!23

I made it through my first week without any energy drinks. Also, I have the right mind set. I've tried off and on to get back on track over the last year and wasn't able to do it. This time is completely different.18

Energy Drinks are so misleading. Many of them now are Zero Calorie, which means they provide the body with zero source of energy nutrients. While the higher than normal caffeine levels may spike alertness for a short while, Energy can only be provided by a calorie. Of which as I stated, the Zero Cal Energy offerings that are so popular, have none. Great job laying off of them!

I had the perfect food day.
Not only did I stick to my allowance, I hit my protein goal and I ate just over 5 portions of fruit and veg (made up of 11 different items of fruit and veg).
I always stick to my calorie allowance, but hitting my protein goal takes real effort on my part, and getting 5 portions of fruit and veg never happens for me. Today I made a concerted effort, I managed to balance my diary, and I enjoyed every mouthful.
For someone who grew up hating vegetables and stopped cooking for a decade for reasons, getting through one perfectly balanced day and actually enjoying it rather than tolerating it feels like a major victory. It gives me hope that I can make this lifestyle stick this time.
I feel really full too!25 -
My mind got around vanity sizing today which means the ENTIRE clothing section was my playground. For someone who doesn't like shopping AT ALL this is equally daunting and interesting.
While my intention was to pick up a simple semi-snug black cotton workout t-shirt, the women's section had nothing I liked in my size. On my way to the men's section, I stopped dead in my tracks...
'Would a child's shirt actually fit you right now?'
Turns out, YES. So I picked up the cutest shirt in the largest girl size (with a neon lightning bolt lol). Bonus: $8 (cheaper than the adult women's sizes).
Still, I traveled over to the men's section and while they didn't have black shirts I liked, there was an orange (#favcolor) t-shirt in 2XL which could have been altered into the cutest - errrm, in my mind - mini-dress. Alas, I don't have a sewing machine and I can't muster the chutzpah to ask my church-going grandmother to make me a dress that'll barely cover my cheeks so back on the rack it went.
So, the mere fact I can wear kids' clothing (within reason) and am thinking about mini-dresses (also, within reason) is today's NSV.21 -
@MaltedTea Oh yes, thinking about mini-dresses shows a huge amount of body confidence, which must mean you're not only looking good, but you actually believe it too. It sometimes takes a while for our eyes to catch up with our new bodies, so well done to you for actually seeing the reality of how good you look. Brilliant NSV.8

I grabbed a pair of shorts out of my closet and they fit perfectly. Later on in the day I realized they were a pair of shorts I had stuck in the back of the closet because they were too small.13

My latest NSV is based on clothing sizes as well - I was in need of jeans/capris, the ones I have are several years old and as of a year ago were too small, but now they are quite loose and baggy (whoop whoop!). Normally I am a thrift store shopper, and I used to be able to find things my size just by holding them up, but felt a bit lost because I had no idea where to start size wise. I picked out a handful of things only to find fitting rooms closed due to COVID and unlike other stores they hadn’t altered their “no returns” policy in any form to make it easier. The cashier mentioned that most people had just been trying things on over their clothes, but for jeans?? I balked at first, but after wandering a bit more trying to decide what to do I said screw it and tucked myself into a corner rack. Glad I did, because all but one pair were too big by inches!! I came home with one pair of size 6 capris that thankfully fit, kicking myself for putting back another pair of pants I thought for sure would be too small but now I wonder. Also picked up a vest for cold weather running in a size small (a little bit snug, but it actually zipped!) and a size small sweatshirt. Say what?!? Had to double check the tags!14

Think this is the first photo I've seen of you. You look like you feel AWESOME in both pics! Was the most recent route at 9:51 pace the same as the original one?
Thank you! It was along the same path but I don’t think it was the exact same route. Definitely overlapped though.5 -
I went for my first ever morning run today, because I knew I wouldn't have time to run tonight.
I doubt I'll be doing that again anytime soon (not a morning person), but at least I did it and I know it's an option when circumstances make it necessary.
I hate morning runs. I’ve been doing it all summer because it’s the only way to avoid running in 80-100 degree weather but I can’t wait for it to cool down so I can stop getting up so freaking early!

Today I went for ”a little evening stroll” with my husband. After we came back I realized there was a time this exact walking route would have been my long cardio workout of the week.22

My NSV was doing my grocery shopping today and constantly having to yank my pants back up!! They used to be tight a couple months ago yayyyy!14

I put on my marching band gameday practice shorts from college 10 years ago and they are only a bit snug.12
-
I was able to donate a trash bag worth of clothes that are too big for me now!
Not having the clothes will also keep me from wearing larger sizes and gradually going back up in weight. I love the way I feel and look now, so I don't want to lose that! Down a dress size for the win!19 -
I bought some new shorts online last week. Size chart said I was a 6 and I was very skeptical but ordered a 6 and figured I’d just have to return them. Well they came and fit perfectly! Two years ago I was a size 16 and don’t think I really believed I could ever drop all the way back down to a size 6 which I definitely haven’t been since my freshman year of college.21

Hey, same here! Two years ago I was about a 16 and am now a size 6 too. (: The only difference is that I was also a size 16 in college lol.9 -
Yesterday I went on a 20 mile bike ride. Today I restarted mfp after being gone for almost a year.16

I have needed to buy successively larger pairs of shorts each summer for five years, including this one. But since May, I've dropped a size, and today I pulled on a pair of old shorts and they are comfortable!11

it has been 2 years since I lost 30 lbs but today someone said you are still skinny mini, usually people dont pay attention any more (I miss that).10

Yesterday I did two 45 min water aerobics sessions with a friend. (So much easier with a friend!) I was worn out last night, but in a good way. Watching my stamina and endurance grow has been an NSV.20

Pullover knit merino jersey long-sleeve top from Costco bought for working out or yard work in cool weather always looked like a sausage casing so rarely worn. Put it on today to wear in the house because of a cool morning; now it fits well enough to wear around.17

Had a "food dream" for the first time in months, I've been especially hungry the last couple of days. I dreamed I was at a buffet with lots of desserts and food leftovers from a potluck, with no one watching. Even though it was all leftovers so I could have as much as I wanted, I was carefully surveying them and trying to pick one out that had a decent portion size instead of loading down my plate like I have before, in similar dreams. This represents a pretty deep change in the way I think, and that's my NSV. I also wasn't particularly upset in my dream, or worried, just matter of fact in wanting to serve myself a reasonable portion.21

today is 3 months exactly since I started mountain biking every day. I have only missed a couple days due to weather but still rode my spin bike inside. Total miles so far = 1708... Best shape of my life at age 55.32

Today, I hit my treadmill goal of 3.0 mph for 25 straight minutes I've been working on getting to that point for about a month now and finally made it! Best of all, I only started breathing harder than normal during the last few minutes, which means my cardiovascular health has definitely gotten better!30

Today I fit into my current goal trousers (EU size 46 chinos, down from size 54)
Next to conquer in my wardrobe are some grey trousers and navy shorts, both identifying as EU 44.13
