Dang...I don't know what the deal is but I feel like since there are fewer of us here now I'm more invested in this group, in you guys, than ever before! When I log in and see you guys have posted, I can't wait to see how you did. I swear I feel your triumphs and struggles like I'm right there with you! Just know you're not alone! Looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in. We got this!

We are still on July's thread @rmwb529 so we don't get new people when that happens historically.
Happy to see you posting and wondering how the tracking and new workout system is going for you. Curious to see if keeping on track proves the "you will weigh...in 5 weeks" will be true.
I personally have never made it anywhere close to 5 weeks eating and burning excess calories exactly the same as the day that it tells me that I will be 129lbs in 5 weeks if I keep up my current behaviour. Cheat days, occasional cocktails etc.

    MFP start weight Oct 28.18 - 191
June goal was 146.7 - Actual end weight 148.1
July goal was 143.4 (realistically I would be happy with 147.1 since I normally only lose one pound per month)
    August goal was 142.9
    September goal 141.9
    Ultimate goal: 112-115 - Age 59, height 5'2"

Wednesday July 01 - 148.4 - Up just a titch from June EW, but really pleased to be starting the month in the 140s for the first time.
Friday July 31 - 145.0 - The long weekend has started here, going to try my best to not derail.
    July - Lost 3.4 pounds

    Monday August 31 - 145.2
August Kind of a bust of a month, gained 0.2 from last month.

It would be great if we had a new month to post in for September. If not we can still keep posting here on the July thread.

Okay, parking here on the July thread again.

Tuesday September 01 - 144.9 - Staying the course and trying to be patient
Wednesday September 02 - 143.8 - 18 days until my 60th birthday - my goal was to be 130 which obviously won't be happening. MFP has been saying "137 in 5 weeks" since January of this year. Yesterday it said "133 in 5 weeks". 2 pounds in 18 days might be realistic, I am a very slow weight loser. Yes, I do plan to be indulgent over my birthday getaway, but not out of control indulgent after all of this hard work.
    Thursday September 03 - 143.7
Friday September 04 - 142.3 - Wow, super happy to see this number after all of my diligence.
    Saturday September 05 - 143.1
Sunday September 06 - 142.5 - 1.5 pounds away now from a 50 pound weight loss. It could take awhile, but I am definitely going to work at it.
Monday September 07 - 143.1 - Hit those 142s twice, so hoping to return there tomorrow.
Tuesday September 08 - 143.2 - On track, and sticking with it.
Wednesday September 09 - 143.6 - Went off track a tiny bit last night, dusting off and will work out extra today.
Thursday September 10 - 143.9 - Maybe I will see a drop tomorrow. Hope so.
Friday September 11 - 142.0 - Yahoo for the scale reading, but a terrible day historically. I was probably around 165 pounds back then before I started packing on the menopause pounds. I couldn't carry 165 these days as my body weight shifted around with age.

Super crabby this morning. Last Friday I was SO close to the next decade (170.POINT TWO!) I'm waiting to get back to! I did everything right...I tracked, I exercised, I drank my water, I did, I did, I did. Weigh in today...
170 POINT ZERO! You've got to be kidding me! I am so over this menopause crap!

Thanks for the explanation @dawnbgethealthy. It speaks to the stick-to-it-ness it takes to do this. SO many start but there are few at the finish line. It is hard! Here though...it's nice to know we're not alone.
@dawnbgethealthy - nice job! Dang. You gotta feel good about that! And it's only mid month! Yippee!
Also, about the program...my friend had a family member pass away tragically out of state so she had to leave town. Our plan is to start Monday.

Back on to that horse for you! Can't have all of that hard work undone.
Posting daily and tracking is key.
Hope that you are nicely settled into your new place now.

Back to my Sept starting weight. While I haven't seen a real change in weight, I have lost 5 inches since I started my workout challenge 10 days ago.

I love working out for so many reasons, loosen up the old joints, erase thoughts from my mind as I concentrate on the movements, and yes...a more trim body!

    Which workout are you doing?

Yes, I really wasn't able to start losing any weight until my menopause was over several years ago and the hormones normalized.
I was at 160.1 in January this year after all of the Christmas eating (I was 158 in December).
I vowed to get out of the 160s and never look back.
Here I am today really striving to get out of the 140s, even if it takes a couple of more months.
You are completely right, it is hard work indeed, and takes some attention and commitment.

You are so close to getting out of that decade! I am not sure what your goal weight is. So nice to see you posting daily again : - )

I am doing Nita Strauss Body Shred Challenge. She is the lead guitarist for Alice Cooper, a fitness buff, and all around awesome. She does these challenges a few times a year. It comes with a workout plan, some recipes, and nutrition info. There is a pretty cool community on Facebook which is really supportive.
I have been enjoying it and it is making me be active everyday when I want to be lazy. :)

I just saw a photo of her, shredded indeed!!! How long of a workout is it? How much does it cost?
Yep, having something that you look forward to doing is the key.
