Good morning everybody and happy Sunday! I'm trying to stay positive, but like everybody else, I am so worried for my family and friends on the west coast. Wherever you are, stay safe and stay informed.

    SW: 248 (1/1/2020)
    CW: 228
    GW: 200 by 2021
UGW: Under 170. But let's not even go there.

Starting weight for this round: 228lb
Goal weight for this round: 226 lb
End weight for the round: 224

    Day, Weight, Comment
    09/04: 228.2
    09/05: 227.2
    09/06: 227.2
    09/07: 226.4
    09/08: 225.6
    09/09: 225.6
    09/10: 226.2
    09/11: 226.2.
09/12: No idea. Did not weigh. Did not do anything. Did not go further than the bathroom actually. Sat in bed and read A Rogue of One's Own and ate too much.
09/13: 224. Is this a real number? I don't know. I don't trust the scale anymore and there isn't a truly flat surface in my whole house as far as I can tell. I don't "feel" down, I feel bloated and gross, which is to be expected after a day of doing nothing. Today I'll get a ton of exercise and try to make up for yesterday. Looking forward to the next round!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 125 (round 57 for me ) I'm in for another round (as always!) – I need to just keep going! As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.

Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !

Goal for this round – to lose a pound. Stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, keep the 10 days binge free again, it makes such a difference!

49 year old hoping to hit my personal goal weight by my 50th birthday (11 months).

I am so happy to have stumbled on this board. This is exactly what I need. Like minded people to help keep me accountable, 10 days at a time.

Ultimately, I'd like to lose 11.2 pounds from what I weighed this morning (8/12/2020). I realize that there are only a few days left in this round, but I am too excited to wait so here I am.

    Round 122 (2 Days) -0.6 Total 0.6/11.2 (10.6 to go)
    Round 123 -1.4 Total 2.0/11.2 (9.2 to go)
    Round 124 -1.2 Total 3.2/11.0 ( 8.0 to go)
    Round 125 -1.2 Toral 4.4/11.0 (6.8 to go)

@shunggie LOL Your remark made me wonder about the shopping cart I was pushing the other day. Water for friends, flavored water for DH, Tonic for me, soda for DH and friends. No wonder I was working so hard! 105+ pounds plus a few normal groceries. Friends order online and pick up at close Walmart. If they are shorted, they ask us to pick up when we shop 15 miles away at a WM where we feel compliance is better. They also add to their order if we need anything.

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

9/4 115.5 Just learned that DGS#1 is coming home this weekend. He works and goes to school in Phoenix.
    9/5 116.0
9/6 117.0 No TMI x 2 days. High carb day yesterday. Margaritas! Going to the neighbors’ for ??dinner?? at 5. Later than we usually eat and no idea what it will be plus she will be sure to send home leftovers - I understand it is a Filipino custom.
9/7 118.0 I track Monday morning weigh ins in another group and noticed this morning that this is the 4th first Monday of the month that I have been 118.0 What an odd coincidence!
9/8 119.0 I expected the carb loaded weekend to catch up. Did not sleep well. Out to lunch with the ladies today.
9/9 117.0 I had steak instead of gyro meat, no pita, but ate some of the fries. Trying to fast until tomorrow morning at 7:30 - 36 hours. If I post that goal in enough places, maybe I’ll be able to make it!
9/10 116.0 I’ve made it to 36+ hours of fasting. I feel so good! Had one brief period of hunger right before the 24 hour mark. I’m reading a book about fasting and in the little I have read, I have learned so much about it. All the good things it does for your body. Going for 42 hours now since I’m not at all hungry!
9/11 116.5 My fast lasted 38.5 hours. I will do one next week and make 42 my goal. I feel so good about this!
9/12 115.5 I just added Happy Scale to my phone. No real reason except I wanted to see what it would do with the milestone weights I entered - going back to my highest weight in January, 2008. This is day 2 of the new headache. I’m calling it a migraine caused by the smoke. I feel so bad for people on the west coast.
9/13 115.0 I slept until 10AM - practically unheard of! Headache is gone again. We may just have to keep the windows closed even if there is nice outside weather.

Don’t forget to join us for round 126!

    I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... :D...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! hurt! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle. THEN...I face planted on the sidewalk while walking. Messed up my face, wrist and knee...sigh...Must keep going, tho.

The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

    Heaviest: 192.2
    Round GW: 150.0
    UGW: 132.2

    09/02 - 152.0 at 4:00 a.m. ...got .9 miles in 22 mins. Knee wasn't happy...worked out w/trainer 50 mins.

    Round 125
    My Round 3!

    Jillian Age 34 and 5'1"

    HSW: 179.8
    CSW: 170
    GW: 130
Mini GW: 158 will get me out of the obesity category and into the overweight category according to the BMI.

    RGW: 167

    Round 123 (1): 179.8 to 176.4 (-3.4)
    Round 124 (2): 176.4 to 170 (-6.4)

🏃 09/04:170.0 This was excpected because I ate fried chicken. I never lose weight if I eat that, so not gaining is actually a triumph despite eating poorly. I will eat better today.
    🏃 09/05:169.4 Great day.
🏃 09/06:169.0 I'm still tracking and losing despite only tracking and not exercising. The lack of exercise is why my loss is slower.
🏃 09/07:169.8 Even though I stayed within my calorie limit at first, I stayed up too late. At around 2 AM, my husband got some Taco Bell, and I had one little taco. That was all it took to take away progress.
🏃 09/08::170.2 These numbers are going the wrong way, lol. I am not eating more than my limit. I do not want to reduce my calorie intake, so I better pick my Switch fitness games back up now. Maybe I should get the Boxing game to give myself some variety. It is harder to post here when I am not doing well, but I do not want to regain the 10 pounds I've lost, so I know it is important to be here.
🏃 09/09: 170.8 I did my Ring Fit Adventure yesterday, and I will play again today. At this point, I don't even care about the round goal. I just want to start going back down again!
🏃 09/10: 170.2 Well at least it's going back down!
🏃 09/11: 170.2 It didn't go down, so I'm not too disappointed. I know I'll break through this eventually! I got my boxing game today to add variety to my Switch Jump Rope Challenge, Ring Fit Adventure, and Just Dance. Ring Fit Adventure added planks as an exercise today and that hurt (in a good way)!
🏃 09/12: 168.8 That wasn't expected at all. There isn't any way I will get to 167 tomorrow, but if I can hold my weight right here, I will be happy. Now, I have no doubt that my Ring Fit Adventure is helping me immensely. I expected to gain actually because last night I had accidentally went 300 calories over my limit. I had a bowl of chili instead of the cup that I had allocated. Luckily, it didn't harm anything!
🏃 09/13: 169.2 I didn't go up too much, especially considering that I ate entirely too much sushi. It's still an overall loss of 0.8 lbs and I am being mindful of what I eat, which is something I haven't been able to say in a long time. It's time to exercise tonight and have a good first number for the new round tomorrow!

    09/04 143.2 lbs 753 Calories, 44 Carbs, 31 Net Carbs and 12,570 steps.
09/05 142.6 lbs. 1,305 Calories, 6 Carbs, 4 Net Carbs, 7,633 steps and 30 minutes water aerobics. Low Carbs today because I need to go SHOPPING!!! As you can see my weight is up and down but not over my goal of 145 limit. This is what I call maintenance. It’s a work in progress! 🤗
09/06 142.6 lbs 1,582 Calories, 68 Carbs, 65 Net Carbs and 6,791 steps. Carbs higher but I feel they are healthy carbs. Had a nice southern Illinois peach with yogurt and veggies today. Calories higher due a Low Carb dessert.
    09/07 142.0 lbs 1,448 Calories, 49 Carbs, 30 Net Carbs, and 12,918 steps.
    09/08 142.2 lbs. 1,259 Calories, 60 Carbs, 54 Net Carbs and 6,769 steps.

09/11 141.8 lbs 1,328 Calories, 76 Carbs, 60 Net Carbs and 10,609 steps. Carbs are higher due to the ice cream I just couldn’t pass up! 🍦. But I did enjoy every bite!!. I always seem to do this at the end of each round. But I think it will be ok not over in Calories.
09/12 141.0 lbs 1,627 Calories, 43 Carbs, 31 Net Carbs and 2,938 steps. Not much exercise today. Trimmed bushes before the rain started. We are in a drought, this was a much needed rain under a 1/2 inch. The most we have had for a long time.
09/13 140.6 lbs. 1,648 Calories, 71 Carbs, 55 Net Carbs and 12,527 steps. Not sure this weight will stick. But I’m happy with this round. ⬇️ 3.0 lbs.

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.

    Round 125
    Month/Day: Weight / Comment

09/04: 209.4 / Fittingly, starting off with my ten-day average from round 124.

09/05: 207.0 / I am a bag of water. (and other things) I think I have recovered from my previous long weekend, just in time for another weekend. Today I help my son and his wife move, so I should burn a few calories. Hope I don’t eat them back. DW will probably be in charge of the precious 3 yr old prince of the family. 😊 Those of you with grandchildren know what I mean.

Have a good Labor Day weekend everyone!

09/06: 207.8 / Even though I logged everything yesterday and got a LOT of exercise, I somehow inched up this morning. Probably because yesterday was a false low. This is why I like to track averages and acknowledge Non-Scale-Victories. Going to try to practice gratitude today.

09/07: 209.4 / Trying to think what may have caused this. Oh, that’s right, I ate a lot. I also rode my bike, but not enough apparently. Planned hike today with DS and family. I might ride some more too.

I just had an extension put on my bike handlebars to I don’t have to bend so low. It was hard on my neck, and my hands were falling asleep. Much better now. I also bought a bike helmet for myself and DW. Inspired by more than one “slip-and-falls” in our families lately. I look like a dork, but oh well, who am I trying to impress?

On a different note, DM (dear mutt) just brought a dead cicada into the house in her mouth. She did NOT want to give it up. DW had to pull it out.

    09/08: 210.4

09/09: 210.2 / As the weather gets cooler, I need to pay attention to my calories in-out balance. It seems like comfort food becomes more available and attractive and exercise becomes less available and less attractive.

09/10: 209 / Despite some amazingly poor choices yesterday, I still lost a pound.

09/11: 206.4 / Freaky weird. This will vanish tomorrow morning. Today is DS birthday and we are hosting supper with some carry-out Chinese food. (which of course is not really Chinese, but rather our Americanized concoction of salt, fat and sugar. Very yummy. I verified this during a trip to China in about 2008.)

    09/12: 210
09/13: 209.4 / Not a great round. Too many celebrations this time of year. Too little discipline.

    Day/Weight/Walking distance/Comment:

9/8 166.1 Walked 3.25 miles Holiday went well, bbq'd with roommate and her kids. Didn't overeat and I got in a good walk. I'm still not logging in on the weekend to update this. I took Friday off for a long holiday weekend. Ended up hiking 5 miles on Friday and 4 miles on Saturday. I'm surprised I'm not down a little bit more, sodium as always is my bugaboo. My boyfriend has moved closer to me in addition to changing jobs. All the things that made it harder to see him are gone. We're spending tons of time together and it's great. However, he likes that I've lost weight (mostly he likes what 500 miles of walking does to your booty) but he also tries to talk me into pastries. We're going shopping tonight and I'm getting fruit. He can have his cream pastries and I'll have a banana. It's all growing pains and figuring this stuff out. Happy Tuesday ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9/9 166.3 Walked 0 miles Rain, rain, rain. No walking last night or this morning but it looks good for tonight. I feel like I'm carrying a pound or two of water weight. Fingers crossed it will drop off sooner rather than later.

9/10 164.3 Walked 1.09 mile WooHoo the water is gone! Of course the rain is still here. It got me last night, I had to turn around after half a mile. Sinuses are bothering me and I didn't sleep well. The boyfriend's new mattress and I are not getting along.

9/11 164.6 Walked 3.0 miles At least I got my walk in yesterday, sprinkles didn't melt me after all. Stayed on course food wise, not worried about a .3 change.

9/12 DMW Walked 4.11 miles Good walk last night. Kept sodium low so yeah! Still fighting bf's mattress but I slept better than Wednesday.

9/13 165.2 Walked 3.08 Took the almost 3 year old with me on my walk. Took us an hour and 20 minutes by the time we stopped to looked at flowers, dog and dino prints in the mud, played hide-and-seek and picked up some cool rocks to show her grandma. I will say 3 miles pushing a stroller with a 35 pound kid is a lot more work than just walking 3 miles. New respect to these people I see flat out running pushing a stroller. Not sure why the weight is up. I've been good calorie and sodium wise. It's beautiful here today. I'm going for a long walk and fishing at some point.

9/14 167.2 Walked 3.01 Rough trail walk yesterday. Had to do a little rock climbing, nothing too hard but strenuous workout. No clue why my weight is up again today. I have been watching my calories and sodium. Maybe retaining water from tough workouts?

I will be back for another round. This will be my second since leaving in February and returning. This should be an interesting round. Hopefully it works out in my favor! Goal is to drop 2 pounds and be at or under 162.xx for 50% of the time.

    Rnd 124 SW - 169 EW - 164.3 (-4.7)

09/04 - 164.3 I stayed the same so I am probably done losing all of my water weight. Hopefully I can have another nice drop or 2 this round. I have some dental work later this afternoon, so I doubt I will be eating dinner. I hate going to the dentist and didn't sleep well last night because of it. I will be glad when it is done!

09/05 - 164.7 didn’t eat anything after dental work last night and woke up to shark week a couple days early. Hopefully will go down soon.

09/06 - 161.3 didn’t eat much yesterday because of my dental work from the day before and stomach issues. I’m going to stay on track today and hope I don’t see too big of a spike tomorrow after eating more today.

09/07 - 162.8 I am ok with this. Ate a little more than the last couple of days, but definitely not getting my water in. I can't drink with a straw and hate drinking without one.

09/08 - 164.8 I have no idea where this came from. I did go out and eat sushi yesterday with my kids for an early bday dinner, but didn't think I did this bad and it was my only meal of the day. I am on antibiotics for my tooth, so maybe between the soy sauce and the antibiotics I am retaining a ton of water weight. I know my ring was super tight yesterday and today, which was weird because even a couple of weeks ago when I was 8 pounds heavier it wasn't tight. I am also still dealing with shark week, so it could just be a combination of everything. I am hoping to see a large dip tomorrow. 4 days of eating hardly anything and not having any alcohol should pay off a little bit. Back at work today and have all meals planned.

09/09 - 164.3 I have no idea. It should have gone back down. Maybe this has to do with TOM or the scale is just taunting me right now. Either way I am going to stay on track. I really wanted to end this round with a loss. I can't believe I am back in the 160's after everything it took me last time to get out of them, but I will do what it takes to see the 150's again.

09/10 - 164.8 I am now officially frustrated! It has to be the antibiotics that I am on. There is no other reason for this jump the last couple of days. My ring is still very tight, but I am chugging water and nothing is happening. I will be done with them tomorrow, so hopefully I will see a loss before the end of the round. Oh well, it's my birthday and all of my kids will be coming over tonight. We will be ordering pizza and watching the first football game of the year. I have already made a big salad to go along with the pizza, so that will be my main dish. I have a small biopsy procedure tomorrow that will put me down for the next couple of days, so I don't know if I will be able to check in the, but will be fine by Sunday. 3 days left, we will see what happens.

09/11 - 164.8 super annoyed at this point. I'm eating under calories and drinking a ton of water. I had 1 piece of pizza thin crust, a large salad, and no desert for my bday dinner and still no movement. Last day of antibiotics so maybe I will finally start getting some movement on the scale. I'm going in for my biopsy procedure today. So we will see how I feel tomorrow. 2 days left of this round and may finish the same as I started. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

    09/12 - 164.8 still here

09/13 -164.3 uuugghhh not really eating a ton so hoping it goes down soon

9/4: 224.8 (+0.4)/19.1 (+0.1). My days have been really busy, and I'm finding it hard to find time to post right now. Just know that I'm still committed to this group, and to my journey toward health and fitness.

9/5: 224.4 (-0.4)/19.0 (-0.1). Thursday was my wife's birthday, and we had steak, wine, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Yesterday was apparently ALSO my wife's birthday, and she wanted to try gigantic breakfast burritos from a local restaurant. I did not eat lunch, and I barely snacked for dinner, because I was SO FULL from breakfast. I probably should have split the thing in two. TODAY is ALSO MY WIFE'S BIRTHDAY, as we're going to her family's home for some home-cooked deliciousness. What do I have to say for myself? So far, so good. It hasn't been perfect, but I'm minimizing the damage reasonably effectively. I'm also noticing, on my fifth challenge back, that the average body weight calculations I have been performing have actually been reasonably accurate, mirroring the program I've been using to graph my daily weight. I'm feeling pretty good today. (P.S. - I used my rowing machine yesterday for the first time in months)

    9/6: 226.8 (+2.4)/19.3 (+0.3).

    9/7: 227.2 (+0.4)/19.3 (+0.3).

    9/8: 228.0 (+0.8)/19.4 (+0.1).

    9/9: 227.0 (-1.0)/19.4 (0.0).

9/10: 228.8 (+1.8)/19.5 (+0.1). It was really tempting not to come back here. The past five days have been terrible weight-wise, and they have been very difficult overall. Work has been getting worse, and yesterday was probably the worst day I have had there in five months. The trend graph I have been using reflects all this. All the ingredients are there for me to just give up, and disappear. I haven't actually considered it, but it feels important to acknowledge this reality. My eating has been $#!+, but as I like to tell my clients, every moment is an opportunity to turn things around. I've been here a couple of months, and I have had a lot of success so far. I KNOW what I need to do. Today is going to be the day that I turn things back around. Exercise is OUT for now, though; I'm a few miles from some very bad fires here in SoCal, and the air quality is terrible.

9/11: 226.2 (-2.6)/19.2 (-0.3). Better. This feels better. I was on-point with my food yesterday. Time to start thinking about the weekend. So far, all I have planned is my brother-in-law and his girlfriend coming over for dinner and the Laker game. Food should be good - we're going to order in from a place that has really good salads, and I'll go a little light on food earlier in the day. There will be some drinking, but I'll limit it hard liquor, and I'll limit it to the equivalent of two drinks at the most (I bought the wife a bunch of scotch for her birthday, and I'm going to host a "tasting" for her with her brother). I'm happy that I decided to stick around. It felt good coming back to post yesterday.

9/12: 224.4 (-1.8)/19.0 (-0.2). So wildfire air (the air quality in SoCal right now is HORRIBLE) is preventing my brother-in-law and his girlfriend from coming over tonight, which means there will be no temptation this weekend, which means that I officially get to complete the amazing comeback I have made in the past couple of days to "salvage the round." At worst I should end up at my starting weight or lower, which was all I hoped when I started this round. I had a BIG rough patch, but it was more about circumstances (my wife's birthday, and the state of the world) than me lacking motivation.
