I work in a school. This year, for obvious reasons, we have had fewer treats in the staff kitchen, which has been helpful. But this morning our PTO brought in chicken biscuits to celebrate National Teachers' Day. I forgot that they were doing this so ate breakfast at home. In the past, I would definitely have eaten one of the chicken biscuits anyway, because they were there. But not today!
I had to google chicken biscuits, never heard of them! Probably a good thing
Yeah, really just a fried chicken filet sandwiched in buttermilk biscuits (to differentiate them from crunchy cookies for our non-American friends!). They are super tasty but didn't fit in my goal-based calorie budget for the day!
Just got back from running my second 5k in as many weeks without stopping to walk. Shaved a minute off of my time from last week. I wish the first 2.5k felt as easy as the last 2.5k. It's amazing how it can feel once you get into a groove!
Today I realized that after losing about 15 pounds, the chronic back pain that has hounded me for years has subsided to almost nothing. Maybe now I can bump my chiropractic visits down to once every other month!
I noticed that too. At 284 I had recurring back and neck pains. Now I can't remember the last time I had any. Used to be every couple weeks I'd catch a bout of it.

Feels good, doesn't it?
I love being able to stand up straight in the morning!
Ok so this is a bit scale-y: this morning MFP told me I’m 75% to goal! Of course I had to actually go to check what my supposed goal weight is, turns out it’s a bit lower than I remembered so that’s good news on my progress.

Such a great feeling! I hit that last week too. Back up a bit again now, but it's so great to know that being into the last 25% is really in sight.
Just yesterday I made the comment that I think another 10 pounds or so and I'd be naked. Well....getting ready for work this morning, not one pair of pants I own fits me any longer. Like not at all doable. I am sitting in my office today with jeggings on LOL. I will invest in some tights and pantyhose on my way home from work as I still have skirts that fit although it is getting a little too cool to wear bare-legged. Sooo nakedness is my NSV today!
Smaller jeans fit! And a cute pair of yellow capris. 😀
I have boxes of smaller sizes in our attic, and my DH brought one down on Friday. Not everything fits, but I’d say I’m definitely down a size. Hooray! And I’ve bagged up the larger ones to donate. They are getting to be too baggy/droopy.
Today was a lovely day, so I decided to walk to the service shop to pick up my repaired car, just under 4 miles at a average moving speed of 3.6mph (I stopped for a couple of crosswalk signals). Walking - a thing I don't do lots of - is the only thing I do that makes my Garmin re-estimate my VO2max and "fitness age". Just before my 65th birthday coming up next month, it gave me a little upgrade in both:
It's just an estimate, but it makes me feel good anyway,
My thighs no longer rub together and I am getting lots of compliments about what good shape I am in now. Down a size in pants. My face is no longer as full and my chin wattle is diminished.
While going through clothes, I found a beautiful, classic Liz Claiborne turtleneck sweater (probably from the 1980's when I was in my 20's). I remember I never wore it much because the neck always felt a bit tight to me. I was freezing yesterday and decided to put it on. It's so cozy...and the neck is loose!
3 months ago I bought a pair of 35 waist jeans because my 38's were too loose.
My NSV is that my 36's don't work anymore and my one pair of 35's is too big but doable. I have one pair of jeans I can wear. I'll probably go for 34's next...for the first time in over 25 years.
Fun NSV this past weekend and totally weird. With COVID and working from home, I haven't been driving much. We took a long road trip and I couldn't figure out why I felt strange. Then I realized I take up less room in the car. I could move around and can comfortably put my legs up and such. One weird thing, I had to lift the seat - I think there's less back there to sit on
I shared a selfie with a friend to show off a new pair of glasses and she said "you're so tiny!" Now I want to do my makeup and take another profile pic.
My favorite pair of comfy yoga pants that are at peak comfyness after being worn/sat in for a few hours...now were perfect right out of the dryer! No breaking-in necessary before becoming comfortable!

WTF, 47's not old!
I have to say that, I'm 46 3/4...
