Just Give Me 10 Days - Round 129

Round 129 starts off with a day of restaurant dining for early Anniversary (10/15). Something not faced in prior rounds. Should be fine as I am continuing with pre-track planning the best I can. Goal for this round is to try and finish under 145.0 which translates to -1.0. 59th Birthday is coming early next round and I am pushing to be under 145.0 for that occasion. Success this round will make that likely.

Round 129 – starting weight 145.8
10/14 – 145.2 Well yesterday, I survived well enough dining out (2 days early) for 37th anniversary. Pre-planned what I was going to order and tracked it ahead as well. Did not even look at the menu. Crossed my “base” goal calories, but did not exceed base + exercise. Ironic that my weight finally moved after several days of seesaw despite eating under target and exercising.
10/15 – 145.2 Happy with the number. I’m ok with no change. (Happy 37th anniversary today to me and Hubby. Already celebrated on the 13th as Hubby has to fly/escort his mother back to Florida today)
10/16 – 145.4 always a little back and forth! :P
10/17 – 146.2 Was making Halloween goodie bags and then had a sugar melt down. A totally untracked quantity. Over and done with. Move on.
10/18 – 146.0 repairing the damage
10/19 – 145.4 Almost back to 145.2. Still trying for under 145 for the 23rd.
10/20 – 145.2 I am just being teased this round. I need to not get bothered by the short term numbers and stay focused on long term goal of better weight and health.
10/21 – 144.2 WOW! What a pleasant surprise. These are the reasons why one needs to stay focused even when it feels like nothing is happening. I’ve stayed under my calories, exercised and not eaten back their calories, every day since Oct 1 (due to another challenge). We’ll see if it holds. Trying to be under 145 on 10/23, but more importantly 10/26, my 59th birthday.
10/22 – 144.6 Makes more sense. Still bodes well for tomorrow and the possibility of remaining under 145
10/23 – 144.4 Glad this morning was the final weigh in and I didn’t want mess up the round’s total, because last night I was having the urge for the munchies and I shut it down.
ROUND 129 TOTAL: -1.4

Day/Weight/Previous Day’s Comment
SW 220.3
10/14 220.1 Stubborn 20s! Just wouldn’t let go and let me enjoy my teens. Walked 4 miles, tracked, AF.
10/15 219.8 Walked 4 miles, tracked, AF. Met a friend for coffee/tea in the morning instead of wine in the evening. Changing things up!
10/16 220.1 Walked 4 miles, 1782 cal, 39 net carbs, 2 glasses of wine. Popeyes Fried Chicken sans biscuit/sides. Voted in person today … hence the wine.
10/17 219.3 Walked 1 mile (last 1/2 was in cold rain so dodged home), tracked, 2 glasses of wine.
10/18 219.5 Walked 3 miles, biked 15 min, tracked, 3 glasses of wine.
10/19 218.6 Walked 3 miles, yard work, tracked, Torchy’s Taco not been there since March before the lockdown! Torchy’s Tini, Taco in bowl no tortilla, chips, guac.
10/20 DNW @ fishing camp 🎣 No exercise, tracked, 3 glasses of wine. DH on vacation while we are at the camp … hoping to get more fishing and walking in this week. Also planning to do some repair work
10/21 DNW @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3 miles, fishing caught 17” speckled trout, tracked, 2 glasses of wine. Planned fish tacos for dinner but ended up with frozen pizza instead. ARGH
10/22 DNW @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3 miles, fishing but DH caught all the 25” redfish, tracked, 2 glasses of wine. Late lunch after fishing led to cheese and tostitos for dinner before I hosted bookclub over zoom.
10/23 DNW @ fishing camp 🎣 No exercise, fishing caught lots of 13-14” speckled trout (min is 15”) so no keepers. Late snacking lunch of deviled eggs, guacamole and Tostitos. Then 2 skinny margaritas for happy hour + 1 glass of red wine with steak dinner. Terrible day both calorie and net carbs in addition to no exercise.
Not sure where I finished this round. Plans to step on the scale when I get home tomorrow and assess the damage! Today is a new day … tossing out the leftover chips and plans for a low carb … no alcohol day today. Not sure I’ll get to walk since we are fishing this morning and then driving home 5-6 hrs this afternoon.5 -
44, 6' trying to maintain at 150. Have to track here for accountability. More water, more low/0 calorie snacks when starving.
10/14 157 This is a good start considering where I've been for the last week or so.
10/15 DNW
10/16 156.4 Happily surprised as I had dinner and breakfast out. Really trying to be conscious of HOW hungry I am and listen to my body better. MORE water!

ROUND GOAL WEIGHT: 138lbs.
ULTIMATE GOAL WEIGHT: 122-125lbs.
Previous Round
Round 128: 138-139 (+1)
This is a gain in pounds but yet I feel less dread about the scale. I committed to 10 days of daily weigh-one and I did it! The scale used to delicate my mood. By the end of my 10 days, it didn’t. Hopefully that will continue. I am going to try it again!
Day/Weight/Comment
10/14 143lbs. (But I didn’t panic!)
10/15 140lbs. (Better but it isn’t making me obsess!)
10/16 139lbs. (Every day the scale matters less and how I am eating and moving and feeling matters more...of course it is nice to see the number go down but I know I can go back up, too. Slow and steady!)
10/17 134lbs. (So this was good. But slow and steady. Slow and steady.)
10/18 138.5lbs. (Alas, this makes sense...it is “that time of the month” and sometimes on the first day it is a gain of 6 or 8! So this is something of which I am VERY familiar-ugh. The main goal for today is to get my daily run in and my exercises done. I won’t feel like eating but I won’t feel like moving either! Haha!)
10/19 137.5lbs. (Eating right, running even in the rain, just keeping on keep in’ on!)
10/20 138lbs. (This time of the month is like this. It will be okay. It will be okay. Goal this round was to get to 138lbs. Will I be there and stay there or below next round? Ah I don’t know...these plateaus are so hard. I have been through so many since starting this in 2014. I need to keep remembering I have lost 200lbs. And it has taken 6 years. And it has been so slow sometimes and up and down but ultimately the weight has gone down. They say the last 20 are the hardest. I don’t know who “they” are but they are right! I will just keep doing what I am doing.)
10/21 136.5lbs.
10/22 135lbs. (I don’t know where my post went from yesterday! So I am just trying to not let the scale rule my day. So when it is down, I don’t want to celebrate too much. And it is working. It is. Slow, slow, slow and steady. And tomorrow could be back up again, so that is all I will say! Still doing the 3.5 mile daily runs and the morning and bedtime exercise, still eating 1,200 calories except on my “high protein days” when I take in more calories (but still count every one!) not eating things with added sugar or meat since June 1. Slow and steady.
10/23 134lbs. Okay. Okay. Slow and steady. Thank you for this!8 -

Round 124 (2): 176.4 to 170 (-6.4)

Round 127 (5): 164.4 to 160.4 (-4.0)
Round 128 (6): 160.4 to 157.4 (-3.0)
🏃 10/14: 158.4 I didn't really want to restrict myself on any sort of food, but maybe, just maybe, I should make an exception for processed fried foods. They never sit well despite being ever so delicous. Lmao. It is only a pound and just gives me more to lose this round. I am ready! Today is Ring Fit Adventure Day! Due to all of these fluctuations, I will wait it out another round before I consider my mini goal of 158 achieved. I'm still on cloud nine just getting into the 150s. I almost can't believe how much I've achieved in only 60 days. I know this recurring thread has played a big role, so thanks to all who maintain it!
🏃 10/15: 156.8 I had steak and green beans for dinner yesterday, so I ate much better overall, though I did have Ramen noodles for lunch. I didn't, however, get to Ring Fit. It has been too long, so I will try to exercise today.
🏃 10/16: 156.4 I instictively started typing "16" instead of "15" out of habit. Lmao. I still haven't played my fitness games, yet, but I'm glad that my numbers are still looking good while I gather the motivation to play.
🏃 10/17: 155.8 Yahoo! I was a little worried because I had chic-fil-a, but it all worked out anyway!
🏃 10/18: 155.2
🏃 10/19: 155.6 A few ounces is really nothing. However, the real problem is my inactivity. I need to exercise today for sure. It's been almost a week.
🏃 10/20: 154.8
🏃 10/21: 153.6 I am surprised by such a low number despite the lack of exercise, but I still want to play my Switch fitness games. I don't want to lose all the strength I have been building.
🏃 10/22: 152.8 I was watching TV with my little toddler today. Mr. Rogers has good advice that doesn't apply strictly to children. He said that no matter how we change on the outside, we're still ourselves inside. That helps me appreciate what I am capable of accomplishing because of the weight loss and muscle gain instead of only how it changes my appearance (even though that is nice, too). I finally played my Ring Fit Adventure today. This was a great round except for my loss of stamina in my exercise routine. Previously, I was climbing up to 90 minutes of exercise a day, but I am back down to an hour today. That is OK! I remember when I started that I only lasted 20 minutes! 😂
🏃 10/23: 152.8 That's a wrap on this round with a 5.6 lb total loss!

I need to reassess my goal for 2020. Today I stand at 197.6. Can I lose 5.6 lbs by December 1st? My weight loss journey has slowed down. I know I have gained some muscle (no complaints) and today is October 12. December 1st is 7 weeks and one day away. I should be able to lose 5 and half pounds in the time frame and at least 1 more NSV. Who knows what it will be.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/14 I refuse to record what it said this morning.
10/15 199.3 Better but still not great. With the increased hunger I am trying the afternoon tea. Which is helping but it not great. I have been over my calorie goal (not including exercise) almost everyday for the past 2 weeks. Yesterday I was under. Where did my resolve go? She is missing replaced by this hunger monster. Drink water, eat healthy snacks, get in my walking and some planks…
10/16 198.7 TOM almost over and swelling going down. Had a good calorie day. 15000 steps Wednesday and Thursday yesterday 1564 in calories. Afternoon tea is definitely helping that monster. Plus I am eating a little more in the morning. A 450 breakfast will last longer than a 350 breakfast. I cannot skip breakfast. Favorite meal of the day.
10/17 198.4
10/18 198.7 still getting in my 15 minutes in the AM. Long walk yesterday.
10/19 198.7 doing well this weekend no change is better then uptick. Made some apple crisp this weekend. Very good no guilt.
10/20 197 This is my goal and has been been goal for a long time. I am officially overweight not obese. Let me keep the momentum going.
10/21 197.5 13355 steps 1662 calories Did not get a lot of burn during the day. However I was moving. Rain did not bother me last year because my hair was curly but now my hair is straight and I run from the rain.
10/22 196.1 Did not see that coming. Weather has been unseasonably warm the last few days. It is helping my resolve.Today marks 30lbs since Jan 1st
10/23 198.5 Moving on 0.5 lbs for round

😡 I think this bump is water and delayed response from two days of Greek food.
10/15 - 182.4 - 1286
A little better. I drank lots of water yesterday to flush all that salt. It’s chilly and rainy this morning, and we’re supposed to have a hard freeze tonight, so when the rain stops I need to do a few outdoor garden things. One will be to collect a bouquet before the flowers freeze! 💐 Have a lovely day, all.
10/16 - 182.4 - 1680
I need to get some high-protein breakfast foods that don’t require much morning prep time lined up. I love Bilinski turkey sausages, love eggs done almost any way. Sometimes I make my own version of egg McMuffin, but healthier. I used to make overnight muesli with egg whites and kefir — maybe I’ll make some of those. Left to my own devices, I’d eat a substantial breakfast, big late lunch, and skip dinner, which we do sometimes. Anyway, what do you eat for breakfast? I’m looking for ideas.
10/17 - 183 - 1463
That makes no sense, although my rings are tight so maybe water. Whatever. Happy Saturday, my friends!
10/18 - 182.4 - 1401
Yesterday was a good day! Writing, knitting, reading, painting kitchen-laundry room door (pretty green), goofing off. Perfect. I have an entertainment center I’m making into a pantry (not enough storage in the kitchen), so today’s the day we start on that. I’m excited to get that project done. Have a great Sunday, all!

Racing off to Mike the Cat’s annual check up!
10/20 - 183 - 1856
Cold rain all day yesterday, so no walk, but I plan to get out today. I don’t know why I had ice cream last night. Broke my 1400s steak. Sigh. I’ll do better today.
10/21 - 182.6 - 1274
Better. Hoping to finish the round no higher than last round in spite of my bumps up this round. I can do it!
10/22 - 182.8 - 1566
Shoot. Oh, well. I have lots to do today — painting some interior doors, working on my armoire —-> pantry makeover, Re-organizing closet, other nesting stuff. No time to snack! 🤓
10/23 - 182 - 1771
Ackkkk. But my average for the round is better. I really am well and truly stuck, and I’ve no one to blame but myself. I’ve made a list of small changes, and I’m going to try to implement one per week (retaining the previous weeks’ as well). Officially starting Monday for easy weekly tracking, but I’ll start today with “no excuses @ least one hour walking.” So off I go. See you next round.

@deepwoodslady Donna, how did that tomato soup and grilled cheese affect your glucose reading? That WAS my favorite cold weather lunch before low carb - a can of Campbell’s tomato made with 1/2 can of milk and grilled cheese with cheddar - but OOOH 😮 the carbs. I haven’t allowed myself to have that in over 3 years. I might allow it once this winter but, I admit, I’m afraid it could start me down (or UP) the slippery slope! You’ve got this, you KNOW what you need to do!1

Round 129 SW: 176.1 (on 10/13/20)
10/14 - 175.3 - I was up last round, so I still have a ways to go for an overall loss, but this is in the right direction.
10/15 - 175.8 - I can feel my fingers plumped up again, so I know I have a little water retention.
10/16 - 175.9 - I can still today feel my fingers all bloated, so for some reason I am really holding onto this water.
10/17 - 175.1 - Whoosh! I finally lost that water weight! And I’m back to the starting weight of last round, so I feel better.
10/18 - 176.9 - UGH
10/19 - 175.1 - I am getting dizzy on this roller coaster
10/20 - 175.8 - It was my husband’s birthday yesterday, so there was cake and his favorite dinner. Luckily, there are no more “food events” until Thanksgiving!

Day/Weight/Comment
10/14 133.4 - 9.82 miles walked yesterday, 278 calories in credit, 5g carbs over.
10/15 133.4 – 13.55 miles walked yesterday, 1001 calories in credit, all macros in green.
10/16 133.4 - only 4 miles walked yesterday running around with/after my 2 year old DGS, hence 525 calories over.
10/17 132.8 – yey, the scale moved !! 7.87 miles walked yesterday. 392 calories in credit and all macros in green.
10/18 133.8 (:( ) 12.75 miles walked yesterday. 428 calories in credit, but 27g carbs over as it was pizza night! Hope it bounces back down tomorrow!
10/19 133.4 – back to that same number again!! 4.38 miles walked yesterday, DGD & DS birthday celebrations yesterday hence 235 calories & 63g carbs over, a socially distanced bbq in their garden as we are all in tier 2, it was cold, but lovely to see them.
10/20 133 – scales are playing with and teasing me! 10.91 miles walked, 43 calories in credit, but 54g carbs over.
10/21 133 – 10.76 miles walked yesterday, 551 calories in credit, 5g carbs over, all other macros in green. Rain forecast all day today, don't know whether I'll get a window to get out!
10/22 134.2 - Going to really struggle to achieve my 3300 miles walked this year as I need to do in excess of an average of 11 miles everyday! Shame to miss the target, but when I look back over this exceptional year there has been so many obstacles, losing my Dad unexpectedly, Covid lockdown, baby DGS being so ill and then having to have a liver transplant, more Covid restrictions during second wave. I so hope next year is much more settled!! Still hope to exceed 3000 miles !
10/23 134.2 – so I've been off the rails, just so sick of Covid and not being able to see my family except outside now the weather is turning cold, having to social distance from them and not been able to give them a hug, it just got me the last 2 days. I know I should be counting my blessings so grateful that we are all ok & healthy especially my DGS 12 weeks on from his liver transplant, but I couldn't shake it off and so I attacked the chocolate amongst other things. I hope I've got it out of my system now, scales certainly weren't kind to me, but todays another day and I need to pull myself together. A new round tomorrow and I will be there, self pity moment over – sorry folks!!
KEEP SAFE EVERYONE . Keep calm – we're all in this together!

@UTmom81 The recipe takes a bit longer because you make the “noodle” but I have made the noodles ahead and refrigerated and even frozen them.

@musicsax I’m so sorry you aren’t able to touch your family but the baby’s health is paramount. A friend has a new (healthy) great nephew and was looking forward to the holidays to meet him but the family isn’t letting them come. So sad. I hope this eases up! Hugs and prayers!3

10/14 116.5 Expected, 1/2 Greek salad with gyro meat yesterday AF
10/15 117.0 In-N-Out burger for supper last night and I ate most of the bun for the first time in over 3 years. Virtual quilt guild meeting tonight. Getting together with friends for that. AF
10/16 119.0. No TMI x 3 days! ‘Nuff said except considering dynamite! Although I ate that bun the other evening, that isn’t responsible for all of this recent gain. I ate a LOT of veggies yesterday which were about 28g of my 33g of carbs. I’m so bloated that my shorts were uncomfortable last night. Still under my goal weight and back on the rails after this odd week. It’s all good!
10/17 117.0 Some TMI success. I was so stressed yesterday all day because DH left his phone in a neighbors garage Thursday night when he was fixing her sprinkler system. He was so obsessed about getting it back but she was not home or answering her cell phone. By about 7 PM I called her again and she finally answered. She located the phone and he went and picked it up. It was not a good day for me I did not go to the gym, I don’t even remember what I ate but fortunately logged as I slogged my way through the day. He needs a man purse but refuses! Clearly I am frustrated!
10/18 118.0 Scale gave me an ERR first so may need a new battery but it’s all good. Social visit with neighbors last night. AF
10/19 116.5 AF Planning to fast tomorrow if DH’s lunch plans work out. So much easier if I don’t have to make him dinner! 🥴🤪🤞
10/20 116.5 Gym yesterday and did my PT stretches for the first time and in weeks.
10/21 115.0 35 hours into my fast. Coffee, tea, water, and 14 oz of chicken broth yesterday. Feeling good. Gym today.
10/22 116.5 Stopped my fast after 42.5 hours. I think lack of sleep had something to do with feeling horrid all day yesterday. It was smoky again and I had a headache. It’s gone this morning.
10/23 116.5 What a great day yesterday - spent it sewing with a friend. Hit my macros and felt so good when I came home. Invigorated!! Gym today and possible dinner out. Picture of The Strip when I left my friend’s house at 5PM yesterday. About 15 miles as the crow flies.

The smoke wasn’t bad at Amy’s but our house is lower in elevation and by the time I went to bed, the headache was back.4

Day/Weight/Comment
10/14- 167.5 Not a good way to start out for sure.
10/15- 167.8 I am retaining a lot of water. This should go down in a few days, I hope.
10/16- 167.1 Going down! Its not right that I can gain 2lbs in one day but take days to loose it.
10/17- 166.8 Still going in the right direction
10/18- 166.8 Did not go up so that's a small win.

10/23 - 151.0 - Back to where I started! I wasn't expecting to be down this much today but I guess my fast did something (: Made it 16.5hrs no issues. My scale BF% was way up, though, and I still have visible belly bloat. Hoping that's the process of swelling before releasing happening. No other explanation to go from 32.3%BF at 152.6 to 35.4%BF at 151.0...I know my scale isn't the most accurate with BF but it definitely trends it fairly well. Except times like this, at least. Going to push for maybe a 17hr fast today? Gets me to 1230, perfect for a lunch break, especially since I JUST crawled out of bed. My body is sore from working on the car and its nice to stay in bed and read for a bit in the morning instead of immediately getting up. If BF is busy with work, once I get my water and morning coffee down, I'll take a bit of a stroll with the pup. Dinner tonight is made by BF for Fam (they're returning from transplant appointments this evening) with grilled chicken thighs, grilled potatoes with butter and bacon, and grilled asparagus with butter (and maybe bacon if I get my way!) I love when he cooks that (: Likely more working on the car, depending on when he gets free from work.
Previous Day's Comments10/14 - Normal fluctuation? Not sure. Food was way off yesterday. I was super hungry so I finished my fast at about 16hrs. But dinner I couldn't tell if hungry so I had a bit to eat but then felt really full about an hour later. Still learning my body's language, so not too worried. I knew it wouldn't happen immediately and I need to be patient and forgiving with myself. I will say, not tracking and being more mindful about food in general has been super freeing. The fairly consistent weigh ins have been an added bonus. Normally I'm constantly stressed about food, monitoring everything that goes in my body, and letting food control me. Now I let my body control it all and tell me what it needs and when. I've managed one challenge, my birthday, with fasting. Great results! Without it, I'd likely still be battling the weight gain. Next up starts Friday with camping. I won't have cell or internet service so I can't really track or post. As it is my birthday gift, I'm not a part of the planning of food and such, just which trails I'd like to hike and where I'd like to see within the park. Will be interesting to see how fasting and my body will play a part in all of this. Definitely will be a learning experience (:
10/15 - Shocking since I only fasted 15.75hr yesterday - my body wanted food and nothing was stopping those hunger signals! Also, a heavy dinner consisting of homemade spaghetti, garlic toast, and a caesar salad. Finished off the bottle of wine with FamWife we opened for dinner yesterday (1 glass each both nights). Today fasted 16.5hrs and broke it with Taco Bell. Its our guilty pleasure and its 30 minutes away so not common for us -- only when we go into that town for a specific reason. Today was going to the range. I could practice with my new(ish) 9mm and the boys could zero their rifles with the new scopes in preparation for deer season. Consolidated all the camping stuff we have on hand and packed that. Just need to pack Fam's stuff (including tent, air mattress for back of truck, and their sleeping bags), go shopping for the rest (mostly food), and pack that stuff up. I'm so READY! Hoping for 12hr fasts while out there. Body isn't quite fully fat adapted to be able to hike and such while fasting, no need to push it and cause harm. Here's where patience comes in -- hopefully I can stay content with the slow changes. The test will be whether my belt stays in the smaller notch after this weekend (once it dropped, it stayed down so far). I feel so much better without the constant bloat - hoping I won't undo all that. I'll see y'all Monday!! Have a wonderful weekend, all
10/16 - Taco Bell and Frito Pie for lunch and dinner didn't destroy me! I love this! And I was really low on my water intake, too. I'm surprised that alone didn't bump me up. I was hoping to sleep up until my alarm before showering but I was too excited. Good news - it left me time to weigh and post before BF even gets up! FamWife has to work half day, so FamHubs, BF, and I are going shopping for the rest of the foodstuffs we don't have once he's up and moving. She'll then have about 3 hours on the road to work before signal loss, which should be about her half day mark. Should get us there in time to see the little art town/old army base, take the (slightly, 10 mins or so) longer, more scenic route to our campsite, and set up before dark (we have to be there by 8 but aiming for sooner so we have daylight to get camp set up). I'm so reaaaady! See y'all Monday (:
10/17 - Camping/hiking
10/18 - Camping/hiking
10/19 - Well that was a crazy fun weekend. My legs are a bit sore (I'm not sure how I'm not hurting more) and I'm real tired even after a good night's sleep last night, but it was worth it. Only downfall is I'm so incredibly dehydrated. My lips are cracked and bleeding, which takes forever to heal on me. Definitely pushing water. We ran out of water at the campsite unexpectedly and everything was closed by that time. Ended up getting some for the drive home but it was so hard to drink anything fast, especially since pitstops to pee weren't common. Back to fasting today - not sure how long, I'll listen to body since the whole dehydration thing probably put more stress than I'd like on it. Maybe go for a walk later, not sure yet. Aiming for an easy day but know I need to keep moving or legs will get locked up and sore, eek.
10/20 - Still working on rehydration. Yesterday was busy busy busy. The coffee shop opened Saturday while we were gone so we went to work there yesterday and I HAD to try her latte and banana nut muffins (my fave), breaking my fast super early (13hrs I think?) Today, if we go there again, I'm just getting an Americano and no muffin so I can continue fasting. Late night last night so 16hrs ends at what is normally my 18hr mark - 1:30pm - hoping to make it that long today. Did a short jog/walk to the gas station yesterday but got me enough movement the bit of soreness I have is already fading, yay! Super duper tired today so not sure about activity - maybe if I wake up more and get a little energy. My fault for staying up so late watching football. Worth it!
10/21 - I had such a feast yesterday at dinner.... it was delicious but definitely stress induced. My work computer ended up crashing several months ago - took it in, they thought they solved the problem but gave me a loaner JUST in case. Not fixed, working from loaner. Well, yesterday I'm working on a report, get up for a small break to grab a snack and walk around the house only to come back to my computer crashed and overheating so bad I can't even touch it for longer than a few seconds. Now I have 2 broken work computers and work to do.... bit stressful. Does give me opportunity today to run errands and go vote early (yay avoiding lines and crowds! Fam have all gone to vote and said takes 10 minutes, in and out). Today is also the day my godson (2yrs old) starts his 3 days of appointments to be put on the transplant list for a new liver (due to PFIC) and the start of a potentially long anticipation period waiting for that call. Stressing won't help anything, but its so hard not to just a little bit. May I request prayers/positivity into the universe for my little man and all the family? Y'all are the best
10/22 - Holding on to some bloat. Dinner was a very heavy recipe but oh so delicious. Managed to get my minimum water goal in yesterday, finally. Aim to get there again today, if not more. Fasting only lasted about 14hrs so going to try again today for 16. This week has been crazy with food - especially since it seems people have been going out of their way to make me food in the mornings. Hoping to make it 16hrs today and tomorrow (at the minimum) so my body realizes its okay before the weekend. I hate having to think about food on weekends, I'd rather focus on something else! Plus, even doing 16+hrs for a few days rids of the bloat and heavy feeling which I'm so eager to happen right now. Haven't been able to get in walks lately and not likely to again today depending on when BF gets up and wants to head over to work on his VWBug. Fam is in Houston so we can work on it while monitoring our work without interrupting theirs (: it'll give me more movement than sitting at home, at least.

Good morning everybody happy Friday! Wheeeee Friday! My housemate wants to drive to the beach this weekend, which would certainly be an adventure. I love the beach, I love the water, I love the smell, and it has certainly been awhile! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, keep your distance and keep your mask up!

Day/Weight/Comment
10/14 187.2 I feel like I have been getting a little lax with my calorie allowances. I need to find some mojo and stick to my goal for several days in order to get the results that I want. On the plus side I am still (slightly) below my trend line. Est. Cals yesterday: 1827 due to wine and chocolate, when I started back counting calories I was leaving an allowance for these treats so I didn't go over, gotta get back there mentally.
10/15 187.6
10/16 187.2
10/17 187.8 Just hanging out here.. really surprised it's not worse considering it's TOM and I've been eating a lot more treats/calories. Hopefully the hormones will settle and I can resume a more stable path.. Trend is flatlining but I'll drink a lot of water today and preplan my food.
10/18 189.4 estimated cals 1486 I am guessing this bump is due to eating sushi for lunch.. rice and salt. Hard to get the calories right too.
10/19 188.8 estimated cals 1434 ready for the scale to behave itself now..
10/20 187.8 estimated cals yesterday 1534. My foot is finally feeling better so I'm going out for a little run/walk this morning.
10/21 187.2 looks like I have been maintaining this round. I am hoping for a little drop before it's all said and done. Estimated cals yesterday 1612.
10/22 188.6 LOL ya gotta be kidding me. We went out for dinner. I am so sensitive to salt apparently.. estimated calories 1826

Round 129
Age: 39
Height: 5’ 3”
SW: 163
CW: 148
GW: 140
UGW: 125
GW for this round: 146
Round 126 (1): 156 to 153.2 (-2.8 lbs)
Round 127 (2): 153.2 to 150.4 (-2.8 lbs)
Round 128 (3): 150.4 to 148.0 (-2.4 lbs)
Goals for this round:
- Lose 2 lbs
- Get out for a morning run twice and do Ring Fit the other days
- Do core strengthening exercises 5x (every other day)
10/14 - 148.0 - Starting off on a nice round number. Got new running shoes yesterday, and they feel great! I’d forgotten how big a difference good shoes can make for my knees and feet. Did the new core exercises this morning; here’s to a great round for everyone!
10/15 - 147.2 - Ugh, yesterday was HARD. I don’t know what the trigger was (lack of sleep? hormones? too much calorie restriction?) but I was SO HUNGRY all day. I wanted to eat everything in sight. I managed to mostly stick to my meal plan, but still indulged in some extra bites here and there. I’m happy about the scale going down, but I’ve got to make some modifications if I keep feeling like this. It’s not worth it and definitely not sustainable.
10/16 - 147.2 - Happy to hold steady after such a big drop yesterday. Still not sure what caused such extreme hunger, but I felt much better yesterday and today. Will be ordering out for dinner, so will need to plan carefully.
10/17 - 147.8 - Not surprised, for two reasons. One is that we had take-out pizza last night that was very salty - both kids woke up wanting water overnight. The second is that I’ve been tracking my weight with HappyScale (after seeing it recommended here!) and I can see that I generally have a bump up every 12-14 days and I was due for one. Knowing that history makes it a lot easier not to freak out when I see the number on the scale go up.
10/18 - 147.8 - High again, but it’s also now TOM, so again, not too surprised. Also felt very sore and heavy trying to exercise this morning. Just got to keep eating well and trust that the scale will go back down.
10/19 - 146.4 - There we go, back on track!
10/20 - 146.8 - Back up a little, but not too bad. Probably more accurate than the big drop yesterday. This morning was rough since the little guy woke at 4:00 AM - going to need lots of coffee today.
10/21 - 146.4 - And down again. Feeling good today - made some healthy pumpkin muffins for breakfast and the kids have actually been playing together nicely so I’ve managed to get some stuff done around the house. Happy Wednesday!
10/22 - DNW - Had an absolutely horrible sleepless night last night. Sorry, I’m sure you guys are tired (ha) of hearing me mention lack of sleep, but after practically zero sleep and facing a day of an incredibly cranky toddler I knew I couldn’t handle it emotionally if the scale went up too. Today will be a “get through the day” day - will try to limit snacking as much as possible and regroup for the end of the challenge tomorrow.
10/23 - 146.0 - Just in under the wire! Overall another positive round. I’ve promised myself a nice workout outfit once I get to 20 lbs lost (halfway point for my total desired loss) and I’m having a lot of fun looking at options. Managed to get more sleep last night and I upped my difficulty on Ring Fit this morning, so I’m feeling pretty good. Have a great weekend everyone and see you in the next round!6
