I did measures today and although it was expected I’m excited to have lost a bunch of inches! Even my stubborn calfs lost an inch! I can also see definite change in my progress photos.
Last night I had a small amount of candy and then I put the rest away and didn’t go back. I’m getting good at keeping treats in the house without them screaming my name at every turn.17 -
Additional NSV - my step average per day for 2020 is now 10 003. 10K average is my goal for the year, I think I can do it!16

Not eating even a SINGLE piece of candy this Halloween, bought some for the rest of the household and wasn't even tempted. I know people say "everything in moderation" though that's a concept I am still working on and I am still rather new in my weight loss journey so I don't feel comfortable jeopardizing my success at this point and triggering a binge. So, for me, not eating any candy was a really amazing and wonderful thing in comparison to past Halloweens' where I'd LITERALLY binge on an entire 80 piece of box candies and then some.22

I can now taste food additives. That's kind of an NSV because it's only possible because of my clean diet!15

First “let’s see where this road goes” longer bike ride. It wasn’t fast or pretty, esp with a near constant headwind the last 8 miles, but it’s done!21

I fast-walked 7 miles yesterday in 2 hours! Now, this may not seem like a big deal, and even to me it seems sort of small. You see, I've run 2 marathons and multiple half marathons. But a year ago I had ACL replacement surgery and have had to slowly build back up, so to me, it's a big deal! Of course, I'm VERY tired today and need a rest day, but that's part of the process31

I did 7 regular pushups yesterday!! I didn’t think I could even do one, let alone multiple in a row!20
-
I did a full Boat Pose for ten seconds yesterday!

Ran for 24 minutes straight yesterday. That is the first run interval of that length since before nerve injury 2+ years ago! Recovery continues!26

I've been able to pull my jeans down over my hips without unbuttoning them this week!18

Second week of waking up earlier to get a run in in the morning. The winter darkness has started to settle in and when it's so dark at 5pm, I have a very hard time to get out the door and run.19

My secret to late-night snacking? I have to record it in the next morning's food diary as a snack or breakfast. Being accountable to myself is the key.11

I gave myself yesterday unlogged to use food as a coping mechanism. That's not the victory.
The victory was that last night I prelogged today, got up today, and with relief ate a normal breakfast and am having a nice normal day on my diet. One day isn't the ruination of it all. I'm going forward with determination, focus, kindness, and love.31 -
I have NOT let any current stressful situations derail my health goal. Rather than eat my way through the left-over Halloween candy, I brought it to work to let other people enjoy it.19

Genius.
I will record late night excess in that days log, but it’s the stress of seeing the number go up that can make the whole thing worse. I don’t struggle with this hardly at all anymore, but when I do next I will use this tactic. Thank you for sharing!7 -
I've not worn my workout shorts since about September maybe. I popped them on today as I trying to find the motivation to go for a run and they're loose on me around the thigh. They've never been loose around the thigh. They've always been a little tight when I bring my leg up, but they don't pinch at all. My thighs are something I don't notice my weight loss in at all visually, so having this happen is really nice.26

I make a really healthy "ice cream" I can use as a meal. I mix up a cup of diabetic Slimfast shake powder with nonfat milk as usual. Either chocolate or vanilla flavor is good. Cool it down in fridge, this allows liquid to thicken. When cold, pour it into a bowl and add a cup of cut up strawberries, and put in the freezer until soft-frozen. It is delicious with the strawberries in it, and satisfies my ice cream craving without going over my calorie, fat, or sugar limits.17

I can do two full all the way to the ground push ups from my toes, not my knees! Sloooowly getting stronger.
Also, maybe a little controversial, but I’ve lost inches in my bust (which helps make the push ups easier) and noticed I’m not quite filling out one of my bras as usual!20 -
When i first started walking again, i walked with a cane. Then i walked carrying the cane. Now i think the cane is in a corner somewhere... I'm not sure.46
