I was working out daily for months—since a family member’s cancer diagnosis—up until very recently. Two weeks ago, I had to prepare my youngest offspring for surgery in a city 7 hours away. Even with the pre-op prep, I managed a run of no less than 5k every other day for a week. I spent last week between hospital and hotel room, keeping both offspring as comfortable as I could make them (hospitals during covid cannot allow minors in as visitors—even siblings.) What takeout I ate was healthy; that in itself is an NSV.
The bigger victory for me, though, is that I’ve built up workout time in the 3 days I’ve been back at my parent’s side with offspring. I’m back to 30 minute run, 40+ minute HIIT daily and plan to both build those times and to get up to daily yoga again.
Also, measurements haven’t changed in that half-month break.
So, huzzah! If I can get through the 2020 election, major surgery on a child and devastating parental news and still stay on track, I count it as a victory.34 -
I've switched from doing modified pushups/exercises to regular pushups/exercises! 😁💪🏽32

That's awesome! I wish I could do real ones.
My NSV is that I did a half-hour of Zumba today without feeling like I was going to fall over.

Got fish and chips for dinner, had tomato juice instead of coke and had salad with half as many chips. Filled in my day with walking instead of napping.25

Doing a 3 week progress picture; seeing the changes in my face and stomach.13

I saw my waist from the front, at last!15

So this is a NSV and an unexpected problem’
‘Problem’: I went to buy some knee high boots and found that my calves are so small now that the boots don’t even touch my legs at all so there’s a huge gap.
NSV: My DH said that it looked fine but I went to ask the sales lady’s opinion and she said ‘They look good from the side but looking straight on they gap because you have skinny legs’. She couldn’t see the smile on my face when she said that because of my mask but no one have ever said that I had skinny anything before in my life. 😷😎😀🤗

@Kaitie9399, Nordstrom carries a brand of boots that fit slender calves very well. It is called Aqua Diva. You might want to give them a try.5
-
@Kaitie9399 Maybe wear skinny jeans and have your boots go over them?5

My mom just shared with me that she went down two pants sizes. She credits it to me because I was the first in our family to start the weight loss journey and man it motivates me to keep pushing myself on my own journey!23

I have hated how I've looked for so long and I actually don't hate this picture and my dimples are back. Can't remember the last time I saw those, I know it was when a Bush was in office! Even the fact that I was willing to take a selfie is a NSV in itself. I really needed that motivation, too. Have been becoming complacent recently, so thank you God!
What's your recent NSV?

I found myself day dreaming while running on the treadmill. When I came to, I was a quarter mile past my goal. Usually I'm swearing....32

I have been tracking how far I've been swimming this year using a spreadsheet that breaks out distances by day, week, month, and year with averages and totals for each. I looked at my total yards today and found that I had broken one million yards this week. With my pool being shut down for two months during a global pandemic, that makes me even happier to have achieved it.19

so the other day I'm swimming in the pool like I do every day, and this tall and lanky gentlemen is swimming next to me, and I swear he was built to be a swimmer, great breasts stroke, smooth, fast, well after the swim he runs into me in the locker room and asks me about my water proof clock/timer, then goes, "YOU'RE A GREAT SWIMMER.... FAST!!!"
I melted, I know I'm not 28 any more but I used to swim on a team way back when and that just made my head swell up as I sucked in my gut even more!!!19 -

that's awesome so what are you doing in a day like 3,000 ? and how long does that take you, from one swimmer to another2 -
My jeans have been bugging the crap out of me lately. Riding up, twisting, drooping. UGH driving me crazy!
They were feeling too tight, but that doesn't make sense, because I've lost a ton of weight. They are hanging on me. Then I figure it out...
My jeans are hanging up on my hip bones. I found my hips! Them suckers are sharp! When I figured it out I got my wife to poke me with her finger, she thought I had some kind of growth. She was like, "what is that?!" I said, "It's my hip!" She about had to pick her jaw up off the kitchen floor. it was AWESOME!29 -
Had to buy new thermal (fuzzy lined) leggings because last years were coming down my bum.16

Activity trackers are really not that accurate. But Ive been following my progress on my VO2max according to my Garmin. It has improved drastically in 7 months and I just broke into the excellent category after my run today. I do feel really great during and my times are improving. I had taken a break from running for several months (Just walker and did hills) and pretty much picked up from where I left off. My pace keeps improving and control over my heart rate and breath.13

Mine too! Had to pass a newish pair of trainers to my son as they didn't fit 😁4 -
I definitely need to punch a new hole in my belt! Possibly even two?10

Ahead of training schedule this week, no gyms open, so home workouts on zoom with strong pals making up for it....lighter stuff but all the reps...feeling recovered and raring to go!10

Needing to buy new sets of uniforms because the ones I currently have are now to big. It’s a win physically, money wise...not so much.15

I couldn’t sleep after sending my partner off to work last night. I tried for almost 2 hours before deciding to get up and do some housework (3am cleaning is a real thing right???) then went out and had a ride on my young horse. I work 10 hours today (my roster is 14 x 10 hour days then 7 off) and I know by the end of it I’m going to be exhausted but the NSV is that instead of laying there tossing and turning, even though I knew I needed sleep, I also knew there was no way I was getting back to sleep so I got up and done something productive. Here’s hoping for a solid sleep tonight!12
