Hahaha! I'm going to beat everyone to the punch.
I'm up 5.4 pounds this morning after Thanksgiving.
The world has not ended. I can still fit my clothes. All is not lost. I have not sabotaged my diet fuhr-evah and evah. No gnashing of teeth or rending of hair.
I was 1974 calories above goal. I had a hella good time eating lots of yummy stuff yesterday, particularly the mac and cheese, the Nurnberger lebkuchen, and some nice chocolates.
I'm going out for a nice long walk, and then going to the gym, and then doing a Zoom class or two.
How about you? And be sure to follow up in a few days that you're right back down again.

I knew the title was messing with us
Congratulations on 5.4lbs, that's quite an accomplishment, I've never had an uptick of more than 2,5lbs

I losted. 3lbs. Time for leftovers.3

I don’t weigh in daily, I only weigh on saturdays; however, I went on a long hike before eating thanksgiving dinner yesterday. With the calories I burned on the hike and weighing my portions, I finished the day with 60 calories left.
This is certainly the first thanksgiving I can remember where I wasn’t painfully full after dinner. 😜7 -
LOL! Thanks for the preemptive post.
I predicted 3 lbs up. I was 2 lbs up this AM.0 -
I'm down 1 lb... I saved calories all week and had a workout yesterday. Time for leftovers!3

I was up 3.1 lbs from yesterday morning. Told DH the leftovers are all his. Going to set my sights on losing this temporary gain by Monday.0

Before I opened the thread, I saw who the OP was and correctly predicted how it would go
I'm down two pounds, but that is due to where I am in my cycle and because I haven't been able to make pecan pie yet.6 -
I'm down three pounds and it's also due to where I am in my cycle and he fact that I dislike most foods served for Thanksgiving.3
-
I'm down 2 lbs from last week. I was shocked; but yet I didn't go overboard yesterday so should be on par.4

I'm not a masochist, so I didn't weigh myself this morning. Since I ate about 500 calories over goal yesterday, thanks to my usual 6 mile run, I'm not too worried about weight gain. Turkey isn't fattening and I can skip the potatoes and stuffing now that I've had it this week. My only problem is we still have 3/4 of the pie left. I need to make room for that in my diet. Pie for breakfast maybe?10

That's my only problem -- I got gifted a bakery apple pie and have 3/4s of it. Will have to fit it in my goal over the next few days.4

I didn’t gain or lose. But I exercised yesterday so that probably helped.1

I was stunned that I was only up 1.8 pounds this morning. I don't even think about calorie goal on Thanksgiving. This year was my first-ever solo holiday (usually go the SIL/BIL's house on the other side of the state), so I decided I was going to eat whatever foods I like, traditional or no, and whatever quantity I wanted. Certainly, this was more carbs and sodium than usual, so I was expecting more like up to 3-4 pounds just from water weight plus the transitory digestive contents.
I haven't logged it yet (may not - soooo many recipes!) though I have the notes so I can if I decide to. Having logged "all I can/want to eat" days in the past, they usually top out at around 2-2.5 times my TDEE, so perhaps enough calories to gain a pound of fat. I don't really expect quite that big a result, based on past experience.
I'm going to have to log some of the recipes, though: A side effect of solo Thanksgiving dinner, eating all I care to eat of whatever I care to cook, is So. Many. Leftovers. (I made a whole batch of buttermilk biscuits from scratch, half a dozen individual pumpkin custards, and more . . . didn't eat them all. 😆) Some are already portioned out in the freezer, others will be. I need the calorie numbers for those for routine calorie logging.
On the other side of the balance sheet, Thanksgiving day starts the annual Concept 2 Holiday Challenge (200k rowing machine meters between that day and Christmas Eve). Going to try it again this year, see how the aging (now 65 y/o) body holds up to that volume of the same exercise. Even funnier: We're still on-water rowing. I rowed 7k this morning on water, plan 8k machine later in the day. That'll wipe out a few hundred Thanksgiving calories . . . or allow more munching on leftovers. 😉

Nothing a good poop won't cure. 💩8

I lost 1 lb. I feel like I have failed at Thanksgiving. 😭

I was up 300gr this morning, in solidarity with you guys. Not that we celebrate thanksgiving here.6

No TG day meal (already ate over 15# of turkey b4 TG) here but I've gained 7# over the past 8 months wc I attribute to higher alcohol consumption while "socially isolating."
Just resolved to lose at least 5# in next 3 months. Did it b4 and can do it again.3 -
1,974 calories over? That's terrible! You must not have tried hard enough. I didn't weigh this morning, but I was a good 2,500 calories over goal. It had something to do with having firsts (and seconds) of all three pies.3

So normally I have apple pie on Wednesday, and of plenty on Thanksgiving. I am up 2 and half lbs... I did not pig out either. So many carbs1

Down one pound from yesterday, but still up one from the day before. Don’t sweat the small stuff.1
